In the event that Healer Tillstorm decides you need further care/observation, you will be placed in the Observation Ward. Your stay will be determined on the type of injury you are currently being treated for, but never fear, the beds are comfortable, and the Healer is ready to assist you in any way she can.
Healers from St. Mungos have been called in to try and help solve the aging problem that has been looming over the school for most of the term. To help aid them in this process, Healer Tillstorm has set up Observation Room 1 as the place all the healers will be gathering to tend to those old dying students and staff.
OOC:For the purpose of the Term 35 plot, this thread will be open to anyone that has plot related business. You still need to follow the rules and do as instructed by the healers. Please do not treat this as a chat thread, and do not post here if you are not part of the aging group. You should know if you need to post in this thread. If you are unsure, just PM me and I will let you know.
OOC: Once your character is seen and tended to, Healer Tillstorm will deem them "well" and able to return to classes/everyday life. If your character continues to suffer from repeat conditions, it's likely that he or she will be admitted into the Room for Quarantined Patients. If this happens, you will be temporarily placed in the "Quarantined" user group, and your posting in the school will be temporarily limited to the "Quarantined" thread only.
I will lock these threads once a session is finished. When a new session, and a new student is assigned to the bed, the thread will be reopened.
Visitors are not permitted in the Observation Ward until given express permission from the Healer.

Finally, there was help on the way. It only took half the school looking like the were ninety, and the headmistress looking like death to get more healers here to try an figure out what the hell had been going on with everyone. Or maybe it was that the son of the president of the board was one of those old kids. That was probably more like it. Whatever the reason was for the extra help coming, Cece was happy it was coming.
Looking around the room she mentally checked off that she had all the supplies there she thought would be needed. She even had extra beds and chairs brought in. Hopefully she hadn't forgotten anything.
Now all she needed was for the other healers to get there. Preferably before an influx of old people came through the door.
Hope looked up from the stretcher she had been placed on and then promptly closed her eyes. Had she passed out? She couldn't recall. Either way she had finally been moved and was no longer in the middle of a corridor. She went to roll over and pain shot through her and all color drained from her face, new tears springing to fall. Maybe she did pass out and she wouldn't mind passing out again. Would someone finally make it all go away? All of it, not just the broken hip, but the old too?
She looked at her friend who had come with her and the ministry healer and the librarian. Was someone going to fix her now? Could she have on of them take a message to her house? Let her other friends know where she is? She moved again and a small cry escaped her lips.

Leah quickened her steps into the ward of the Hospital Wing. Hope had already entered and she was trying to move and being in pain again. "Don't try to move much, Hope. If you need something, just tell me." She nodded firmly. The first year was determined to help out her friend as much as possible. Then Leah realized that it would probably be difficult for Hope to speak too. The only choice was non-verbal communication, which Leah had learnt a bit with her mother.
What should she do now? The little girl could think of tons of things to do, but did not know how or what to start from. "Sir, do you think I should let some people know that Hope is hurt? Professor Elwood, her Head of House? Her roommates?" She suggested to the librarian, and looked back at Hope. Leah wanted to stay with her friend, but someone just had to do these work.

Leo turned automatically to Hope with a worried look and a small wave to Cecelia that he spotted across the room. The girl was in clear pain. "Just a few more minutes Hope and then the pain will be gone. I promise." At least that was the plan.
Glancing over at Leah he said "No, stay with Hope. I’ll send a message to Professor Elwood and she can inform Hope’s roommates of what has happened and where she is." He'd send a patronus to Calista as soon as Cece came over and checked Hope out.

Someone explain to her why CALEB got to stay down in the Entrance Hall and get healed while she trekked up Merlin knows how many stairs--possibly giving her lungs extra work and collapsing from exhaustion just to take the other one to the Healer. They wanted her dead. One less person to heal, was that it?? Why couldn't they sacrifice the Slytherin Girl???? Or or or why not heal her on the way up?? Hmmmmm???
Lex panted, nearly bent doubled and gasping for breath as they got to the Observation Room. The Healer had to be here because she'd already dragged the lady to the Healer's Office and found she wasn't there then the bedding area and she wasn't there. If they never found her, would she never be healed?
The Prefect leaned against the wall, finally feeling the relief on her old lungs again. That's when she saw HER and a couple other people but yeah Healer be important right now when Alexa Cambridge was dying. "Healer Tillstorm! Healers! St. Mungo's! We're SAAAVVVEEEDD! I'm not gonna DIE." Was no one as excited as she was???? Never again would she break a bone trying to get from one class to the next! If this wasn't grand news then nothing was.
She turned to the lady. "This is the observation ward. The Board wanted us quarantined here but you know, Quidditch had to happen and no one likes being bed ridden. Healing now please?"
Pleeeeease. She wanted to be YOUNG again.

Amethyst rushed to the Hospital Wing behind this slightly inconsiderate Gryffindor girl. She was out of breath and couldn't even guess how the girl still had the energy to shout like that, but upon laying her eyes on the Healer, she was VERY pleased to see her fit.
"Amethyst Boyle from Geriatrics in St. Mungo's," she breathed and managed not to wince at the sight of the girl on the stretcher.
"We have to run a few tests, of course," she told the Gryffindor girl who was being LOOOUUUD! This was the exact reason this woman had chosen geriatrics: the OLD loved QUIET.
She turned to the blond woman. They'd skipped all kinds of courtesy, because they had to be quick!
"What's the exact situation?" What was happening? How bad was it?
Glancing several times behind her to make sure the healer was following, Beverly led him, and whomever was tagging along, to the Hospital Wing. Truth be told, the closer they got the more nervous she grew. What if they didn't really have a cure? What if it didn't work?
Stopping at their destination, Beverly took everything in. GULP. Shewantedherdad.
"Umm...we're here," she said, turning back, hoping to see the Healer-man. And where was Cutty Mordaunt? She needed housemate support.
Bradley walked back to the room, making sure the injured boy was all right having left the stretcher in the waiting room. Not to mention Brad was just supporting most of the boy's weight as he let him lean on him. He put him over on one of the beds. "Good now?" He said looking at Adi.
Brad smiled at the two women. One of them had to be the healer. "Bradley Donovan. Ministry Head Healer On-Call." Full titles were nice. He offered his hand to the women to shake.

He was still apprehensive about putting his full weight on his leg. Yep. He didn't need it dislocating again and then having it popped back in. Ugh! That was just...disgusting.
Leaning heavily on Mr. Healer, he made his way over to one of the beds. Gratefully, Adi sat on it and nodded. "Much better.'' Yesh, he was. And he grinned to show it, too.
Now, looking around at the others, he recognised many familiar faces. What was going on here?

Though quite content to stay in the chair he had plopped himself in in the waiting room, Benny decided to follow the healer and Adi into the observation ward. Hopefully he wouldn't be in trouble, but he was concerned and had come up in the process of helping. And as he hobbled in to take an unobtrusive spot near his friend, it was clear that the Hufflepuff wasn't the only one needing help.
What was going on now? he mused to himself as he ran an absent hand through his gray hair.
He had heard rumors. Rumors that St. Mungos healer had come to help reverse this aging curse thing. Well, it was about time. Jun guessed that it took them this long to come because they didn't know how serious it was. Well, now they do. Slowly making his way to the observation ward, Jun's joints were starting to hurt a lot more than before. He had never decided to see the healer until now. He had a high tolerance for pain but not so much anymore. Reaching the door, he knocked and quietly walked in.
Hi. Hello. Jun Kim was here to become young again. Y'know, a normal sixteen year old.
He sat in a chair and asked "Are you the folks from St. Mungos?" Please say yes because they all desperately needed help and out of curse. Oh and Lex was here, being loud. Hi Lex.

TESTS??????
What were these tests of which she spoke that would make the healing process take longer? She didn't have time for tests! What if she dropped dead in the middle of half of them??? Were they prepared to have dead students on their hands? These people needed to understand she had PLANS for her summer, meaning she needed to be alive to follow them through. Geddit?
This was where Lex decided it was time to calm down. Had to be composed otherwise you got looks.
There were people coming in, none answering the lady's question. Guess that would be her job then, huh? "We're not sure what's going on exactly but since the start of term we've been getting older and older. It started with little things like slightly greying hair and some muscle pain but now it's like I can't walk from my Common Room to the Great Hall without breaking half my bones. They said we wouldn't die and that's grand and all but I'd rather not be this old before I even hit 16."
Oh, Jun was here. He got smiles and a small wave before it was back to business.

Hope looked at Leah and looked at the librarian and then looked at the group of people starting to form. Had no one even bothered to notice that she was still there. On a stretcher. With a BROKEN hip. Fresh tears spilled over and she attempted to roll over and turn her back on the lot of them causing a fresh scream to spill out from her lips. "OW!" This was just not happening. It was awful. And the voices were saying things that she didn't want to her.
Did no one understand that...that..she was eleven and hurt and...tears more tears cascaded down her cheeks. "Can't I just go home now?" She spoke softly hoping someone would hear her. "I want my mum." Could anything be anymore heartbreaking?

Following Beverly up the stairs, around corners and through corridors they soon arrived at their destination. Why on earth wasn't the hospital wing located on the ground floor? Andrew grumbled silently to himself.
Coming into the Hospital Wing with Beverly he gestured to one of the empty beds. "Take a seat on that bed dear and I’ll come check you out in just a few minutes."

Letting his gaze drift over to the blond he said. "Andrew Wombley, healer from Geriatrics division at St Mungos." And one of Professor Botros personal healers but that was probably understated.

"Pleasure to meet you Mr. Wombley." St Mungo's huh. Brad had spent some time in the geriatrics ward while he was there interning, covering for some people. But he was always much more comfortable working where he was assigned in pediatrics. Kids were more fun and easier. He nodded. "Sounds good." Because they definitely needed it.
Brad quickly followed the man over to the girl's bed. It was weird having orders thrown at him again, having been in charge for the past few months at the ministry. But it was nothing completely unfamiliar. He looked down at the girl in the bed to see a familiar face. "Hope, right? Remember me?" He hoped so, but if their body's were aging like this, maybe their minds were too.
Now she really wanted her dad. Or Kennedy. Or...someone.
The whole "I'm an independent witch" notion went out the window when a check up was mentioned. It made things REAL REAL. They've always been, but this...it'd define whether she'd get better or not.
"Umm...our parents aren't going to be contacted for this?" Because they SHOULD. Her dad should be here, and her brother. Beverly did as she was told, fiddling with her bracelet as she sat on one of the beds.

Oh. Soft bed. No more stretcher. Yes. One step closer. Hope looked up at the first man. "In pain. Upset. Hip." She answered his questions in short phrases trying not to move too much. She turned to the man with the familiar face. Staff room. She had met him in the staff room. "Yes. I'm Hope. I remember you." Not his name, but his face. She didn't remember much in the way of names. A few here and there, but she knew she could trust these two.

Elwood rushed as fast as she could hobble to the Hospital Wing when Leo's patronus found her trying to climb the staircases at a slow pace. One of her Eagles was hurt, a broken hip from all of this aging mess. The news sent a rather large shiver down her what felt like crooked spine but that could just be her body, she'd been really cold lately.
She finally arrived in the large ward Cecelia had set up for what looked like strictly those who have aged and are suffering worse than others. "Where is she?" She shouted as she entered. "Hope?"
Finally she saw her laying on the stretcher, a Puff, Leo and some man were standing over or near her. "Hope, dear I'm here. It's okay they will be able to fix you up all brand new. You'll see." The Head of House grabbed the girl's frail hand with her own frail hand and patted it with the other. Speaking of fixing her, who was this man?
"Excuse me but where is Healer Tillstorm. She's perfectly capable of mending bones." Outsiders in the school seemed to end in fishy ways, where was the other blonde who reigned here? This buffoon had better not hurt Miss Evans.

Oh Merlin!
The room was starting to fill up fast. Thankfully there were more healers, and how convenient, one of them was from the old people ward at St. Mungo's. Oh and look, one of those idiot ministry healers was back. Yeah, they had been so damn helpful the last time they were here. Seriously, who thought it was a good idea to bring them back in? And more andmore students seemed to be appearing. It was like they were coming out of the woodwork now. Oh, and here was another 'old people' healer from St. Mungo's.
Well now seemed like as good a time as any to introduce herself, and try to make the guests feel welcome in her hospital wing. [b]"Hello. Thank you for coming to assist us with this... issue we seem to have here. I'm Cecelia Tillstorm, Hogwart's resident healer."[b] There, niceties were out of the way. Now on to bigger business.
The students.

"Umm...our parents aren't going to be contacted for this?" Because they SHOULD. Her dad should be here, and her brother. Beverly did as she was told, fiddling with her bracelet as she sat on one of the beds.
Calling home sounded like a good idea right now.
Hearing one of her own students ask about her parents being called, Cece went over to her. "Don't you worry dear. Everyone's parents will be notified of anything that takes place here today. I'll make sure your father knows everything that is going on with you."
Hearing Professor Elwood, Cece looked at the woman then back to Beverly. "I need to go talk to Professor Elwood right now. You let me know if you need something and I'll be right back over here for you."

The Head of House grabbed the girl's frail hand with her own frail hand and patted it with the other.
Cece had only been a few beds away so how was it that Calista didn't see her there? Maybe the woman was losing her eyesight. Something they would have to check into. "I'm right here professor." Could she see her now? "And these healers are here to help get everyone back to their normal selves." That includes you. Unless you want to stay an old lady like that. "I'm sure you understand that it's a bit more than just broken bones going on around here." And if she didn't, well maybe they should get to checking her eyesight right away.

Beverly nodded at her Head of House, biting down on her bottom lip so it wouldn't tremble. She didn't want to look like a crybaby, but her anxiety was getting the best of her. Soothing words turned to reassuring ones, keeping her in control of her emotions.
"O-Okay...thank you, Healer Tillstorm." Beverly watched as the woman went to take care of other matters. Instead of thinking bad thoughts, which all sounded like possible scenarios, Beverly counted to ten in her head.

It took him longer than the others as he'd gotten a later start, but he eventually made it up to the Observation Ward with Healers Wombley & Boyle. He spotted dear old Bev Wayne placed upon a bed nearby and fiddling away with her black pearls again. This caught his interest as it did the day they met at the opening feast. Like a spellbound niffler he watched their soft sheen catch the light as his breathing normalized from it's huffing and puffing.
"You're still lookin' a bit...old, Wayne." He informed her as his eyes moved from her bracelet to the actual person IN it, incase she didn't know. He had expected an immediate healing process. Like they would've already gotten a jump start on the research aspect from afar to have general knowledge of what they were dealing with.
SPOILER!!: Head of House Lady

An attempt to climb onto the bed and have a seat near Beverly was made by Cutty, but his old bones couldn't handle it and so he just propped his elbows upon it and leaned against the edge. It had been nearly the entire term since he'd last seen Healer Tillstorm. He supposed that was a good thing. He hated for anyone to see him vulnerable and besides it meant that he was able to take care of himself for the most part. Sometimes others to the extent that he was actually considering becoming a healer himself. He pushed his spectacles further up the bridge of his nose and watched with curiousity as those around him bearing such titles worked carefully taking mental note of the words they said and how they said them. Too bad his bedside manner was atrocious and his name was Cutty. Healer Cutty followed by anything hardly sounded healing.
Brad smiled at the two women. One of them had to be the healer. "Bradley Donovan. Ministry Head Healer On-Call." Full titles were nice. He offered his hand to the women to shake.
Oh, a ministry healer was here too? How nice! "Amethyst Boyle from Geriatrics." Now they can work? Please?

They said we wouldn't die and that's grand and all but I'd rather not be this old before I even hit 16."
You know what? Amethyst was going to appoint this girl as her personal student assistant now. Forget her previous discomfort, this girl KNEW stuff and wanted to HELP.
"Okay, is everyone like this?" She had to find the main reason. "Has anyone got better? WHat do you think is the reason?" She HAD to have some ideas, no?

Her eyes went to the blond woman...

...who happened to be introducing herself. Great.
"We will do everything to... cure this. Whatever it is." Amethyst pressed her hand onto her forehead before going on. "What have you tried so far, Mrs. Tillstorm? Did anything work? What is your professional idea?"
Those were quite a lot of questions, but they had little time!
*rearranges* sorry if the timelines are screwed up.

A few here and there, but she knew she could trust these two.

You'll see." "You know her?" Andrew asked Brad with a look down at the girl on the bead. It seemed evident since Brad addressed her as Hope. Maybe they had met in another circumstance? Shrugging Andrew decided to focus on the top priority right now, relieving Hopes pain."Is it just your hip that hurts dear or does it hurt somewhere else too?"
Before Andrew could address Brad with a question between professional a frail looking woman (Calista) rushed in and up to the girl’s side. Was the aged woman the girl’s grandmother or teacher? He was curious to know but that could wait. It was more important to ease the woman’s suspicions. "It's all right. I'm a healer from St Mungos. The name’s Andrew Wombley. I'm here to help."
Dear Circe the school was really in desperate need of a cure.

"Right, i’ll get right on it!" Andrew mumbled quietly to Amethyst before she focused her attention on the other blond woman in the room with a sense of authority glowing out of her; Healer Tillstorm. He held back as the Hogwarts healer spoke to the nervous girl he had treated for a bad cough in the entrance hall upon arrival.
When the blond woman had disappeared off to tend to the frail and aged woman Andrew walked back over to Beverly's bed with a friendly smile pursing his lips. "Now then, how are you feeling dear? Is your throat still aching?"
Glancing at the boy (Cutty) that was hovering by the girl’s bed he asked. "Oh, hello there, are you in need of urgent medical assistance too?"

There were more people coming still and no one shoving antidotes down her throat before she suddenly turned to ash and bones. If they continued along this path things would get chaotic and everyone knows what happens when thing start getting hectic.
There was some amount of relief hearing the Healer would be alerting their parents. If things got really bad her father could drop everything to get here. Obviously he wouldn't be of much help but he'd make her feel better.
Oh? More questions. Lex could play this assistant role, she could because she was doing a better job than the other sickies in this room.
"Not everyone's infected, none of my bestfriends are infected," which kinda sucked you know? "but other people I hang around got infected too." It didn't have a real pattern from what she could see, just people suddenly being infected then slowly going through the motions until they looked like she did. "I reckon I might be one of the first cases because I've been greying since September when everyone else thought it was weird and told me it was stress." DAMN LIAAAARS! Ahem. "At first we figured it was a curse but every revealing spell we've used turns up nothing, not on our stuff and not on us personally so we had to rule that out--OH! There is one thing really weird about all this, while we've been getting older our 70 something year old Professor's been getting younger--I'm talking hop!skip!stepping into class with BLONDE hair and no walking stick. Couldn't concentrate on my lesson because of him."
Would she outright say Botros was stealing their youth for himself? No, but Merlin knew she was thinking it, thinking it LOUD.
