One dare; that was all it took to get a few unsuspecting students of Hogwarts into the house of torment.
At the top of the hill overlooking Allie's summer home there had always sat a mansion of remarkable size. On windy nights you could almost swear that there was someone screaming in there--but that's impossible because it's been abandoned for at least 50 years. Rumour has it that an entire family was killed in the mansion one night by a jealous brother of the husband....but that was all speculation that no one dared stick there nose too far in. That was how things were and everyone knew that mansion was better left alone...everyone but Allie's friends.
During the summer before their final year at Hogwarts her parents had given her permission to have her friends over --so long as they behaved themselves, and for the most part they did. Until one night of stargazing leads the teens right up the dirt path and into the hands of a bitter, blood thirsty ghost, bent on revenge for her untimely death. Maybe they should have stayed inside, or maybe they shouldn't have decided to see who among them was the bravest (leave it to the boys to throw in a little unhealthy competition into what was supposed to be a good evening).
Now the clock is ticking as the house slowly begins to sink; the ghost swears that they will be her eternal company. Every corner has another dagger flying, each piece of fabric several poisoned needles waiting for the slight of mind. Every foot step sounds like three...are they being followed? Is that ghost the only force remaining in the mansion and most importantly, with all entrances block by flaming furnaces, how will they get out before the clock strikes midnight and they fall into their eternal rest...?
Okay just a few things:

*All characters are fair game until you post a bio (at least send in a pic so I now you seriously want the character in the event you cannot immediately think up a bio)
*The genres of this thread will be: Horror, Mystery and Romance (but Humour is welcomed too--just don't kill the horror or mystery by over-doing it)
*Absolutely NO one liners. This is an advanced thread, those are most certainly not welcome.
*I'm allowing add ons because I'm allowing persons to choose more than one character...just don't go picking the same gender if you do... :/

Personality: Allison has a strange personality. Unlike most girls she doesn’t jump around when she’s excited and she doesn’t do most things that others would accept as being girly. She has a hard time expressing herself and this often leads to her being misunderstood by others and several failed relationships. She’s more of an introvert when it comes to her thinking process but she enjoys spending time with her friends and having a good laugh with them. To those who don’t know her she’s perfectly shy but once she’s get into it her temper quickly changes their minds. She is quite brave when needed to be and she has a leveled head on her shoulders that prevents her from making many silly mistakes in life.
Background: Allie was born a twin to her parents Jamison and Demetrius Hopefield. Being the oldest of their parents five children they had always been the one to take charge together. There was a bit of a mishap when their younger sister Sophie had been born as Allie wanted to remain the baby. Things got no better when the two had a second set of twins, boys. Growing up she had always been a quiet child. Always sitting back and watching how the world worked. When she got to Hogwarts she was unpleasantly surprised with the news that she wouldn’t be placed in the same house as her twin brother Hayden. However after much trying and self-changing she was able to make friends from all houses and even a few close ones that she enjoyed having over at her house.

Personality: Francine was a happy child who always had a smile on her face. She loved making others laugh and meeting new friends. At her age she was also very ambitious. She had high hopes for becoming a great witch one day. She did however have a mean streak whenever she was crossed and she would do anything to hurt those who hurt her or her friends.
Background: Francine was born and raised in a rich Wizard family. Growing up there was always a lot of tension in her family between her father and the relatives on his side, more specifically his brother. This always bothered her because she wanted a perfect happy family all around. During the first Semester of Hogwarts the young hopeful was placed in Slytherin and could see herself going places, however during the winter break of that same year when she went home to visit there had been a big argument that led to wands and spells and death. Only one managed to get out of the house alive and it wasn’t her. Now she’s bitter and swears her revenge on anyone who has the audacity to set foot in her home that she seems to be bound to forever. Without closure she can never move on and it doesn’t seem like she’ll get any.

Brooke Woodbury and Hayden Leonard met in Wizarding University in Sydney, Australia. Brooke was studying Wizarding Law and Hayden was studying Magizoology. They both graduated with high marks and a strong relationship, and moved to the Gold Coast in Queensland to be closer to Brooke’s family. Daniel was born when they were both 26, but they didn’t marry until Jamie was born a year later.

Rachel was born and raised on the Gold Coast, and attended a local primary school in her early years. While other girls in her class were running around in fluffy tutus waving sparkly wands, Rachel was out playing football with the boys and climbing trees. She was a real tomboy, and loved getting into mischief. When she was 10 years old, Rachel’s father received a business opportunity with the British Ministry of Magic in London. He accepted the proposal, meaning the whole family was uprooted to go live in cold wet England. The children were not happy, and it took them a while to adjust to the climate and the strange accents.

Rachel was accepted into Hogwarts when she was 11. Her older brothers Daniel and Jamie had transferred to Hogwarts from the Gold Coast Magic Academy when they had moved to England, and were in Ravenclaw and Gryffindor respectively. Rachel was sorted into Gryffindor almost immediately. (Cooper and Ricky were sorted into Hufflepuff and Gryffindor when they came to Hogwarts.) Rachel quickly made a lot of friends and a few enemies.

Rachel's mischievous nature took its greatest form in pranks and tricks, played on everyone from teachers to students to even ghosts. Rachel still holds the school record for the most amount of detentions having to be served in a term (she set it in her fourth year), and admires the legendary antics of Fred and George Weasley and the Marauders.

Rachel is headstrong and mischievous, always in the center of the action. She is very tomboyish and hates anything remotely girly. She can be hard to get on with sometimes because of her straightforward nature and sharp tongue, but she is sweet and loyal to her friends. She has an irrational fear of cuddly toys.

Camden is a very well graced young man, and absoloutely believes in respect and manners towards everyone, particularly girls. He isn't naturally flirtatious, he's too modest. He is strong though- physically and mentally. He can prove this when he sees injustice or, when he panics.
When he was thirteen he punched his father, and broke his jaw. This was because his father did not believe him when he told him that Amy Price, his twenty-one year old blonde wife from Essex, had tried to kiss him the night before. His father angrily told him to go to his bedroom, but Camden punched his father with surprising force. His father hit him back, and knocked Camden out. He was then send to live with his grand mother.
Camden is claustrophobic- and terrified of small spaces since he was nine and was 'accidentally' locked in the boot of his step-mother's car.

Bio: Ethan was a wild child growing in a pureblood conservative family (Or it was). He was always rambuctious and full of energy and quite the little prankster. Her parents could barely keep up a social life with her and later her freinds causing chaos. He was not really bad, he was just always hyper and always had crazy ideas in her head. His parents always loved her anyway but they were quite glad when the day came for him to go to Hogwarts he made Gryffindor and learned to use her adventurous nature and crazy ideas for good though it took a bit of practice. He was labeled the wild child of Gryffindor and that she was and still is. He is the one who can come up with the most bizarre and sneaky ways to use a spell. She is the best dueler in her class and is seccond best overall. No one expected Ethan to ever achieve any academic fame much less salutatorian thus far but he suprises all. She is a firecracker with a brain that she wants to always use it for the greater good cause thats the kind of girl she is. He has also become good friends with many over because fun is infectious and he is loyal to every friend he makes.

Okay so we finally have the main characters needed and such so we can begin. Add ons can be added throughout the story--but not beyond a certain point. Right so we can begin.[We're starting just before they enter the mansion.
The stars in the night sky shone eerily as the friends all sat out on Allie's front yard trying to catch up on a little astronomy before they headed back for their last year. Well, that's what they told her parents anyway but really they were just enjoying the night. There was a cool creeze blowing that made the summer night a cool one and the laughter of the friends could be heard for miles. Allie looked over at her friends whow were joking and messing around. She couldn't help but think about how perfect tonight seemed. She had her favourite people in the world on her front lawn and they were having a relaxing evening. What could have made this any better? Nothing.

Like starting to like Cynthia more than a close friend. That one, Cynthia had already established.
Turning her head to look at Camden, this person she had grown close to, over the years, "Hey Cam!" They would occasionally have breakfast together at the Ravenclaw House Table and go to Hogsmeade together. They practically shared everything since they belong to the same house. Camden was one of the many things she wouldn't lose to have. "Don't go near the cabinets." Everybody knew he was claustrophobic and Cynthia was the only one who could joke about it in front of him.

RachelLeonard (aka Leo), had two things on her mind that night. The first was the mansion on the hill overlooking Allie's house. It was downright creepy, which was why the adventurous Gryffindor wanted to go there. The other thing plaguing her mind was a boy. One boy in particular. She bit her lip, her thoughts flinging for a moment to herself. Was her hair okay? Was she maybe too scuffed, too uncaring about her looks? She shook the thoughts away crossly. Nope, she wouldn't even let herself get worried about such a trivial thing.
"Hey Allie!" she called over to her friend. "Who owns that house up on the hill?" Leo tried to make herself sound disinterested, like she was just casually flinging out a random question. Not that she wanted to go there or anything ...
She nudged Cynthia gently as she asked about Allie's brother yet again. "You and your crush," she said teasingly. "Poor guy's probably hiding out somewhere." Leo's smile said that she was kidding, her eyes dancing mischievously.

Pout. Leo wasn't just like the type of girl she could share her crush with. She's all with teasing and everything. She'd rather tell Allie everything than this Lioness in front of her. And why did she even chose the nickname Leo, a fruit name would be better, like a Pear or an Apple. OH. And flower nicknames too, like Rose or Orchid. But knowing Rachel Leonard herself, for 7 years, she would always know that she'd prefer Leo than Rachel.
Cynthia took a glance towards Leo and noticed a tiny difference towards her attitude today. Was she being conscious? For whom? Camden, Nate or Ethan? She drew herself closer to Leo and whispered, "Guess, Leo's becoming a Rachel now?" She managed a chuckle. She's cute.

WHAT? What did Allie just said? A boy? Hayden's decided to become a boy? At night? How could he? No, she couldn't let the words leave her lips this time. She's still got some dignity in there. Embarrased - why would she feel embarrassment, though she still felt it - Cynthia turned her attention towards Allie's next words about the mansion Leo had just metioned. Creepy it was, but if there were ghosts in there; wizards like them, could easily deal with ghosts, right? "i have a plan!" uttered Cynthia addressing everyone that were in attendance tonight.
