Hello all! My name is Sarah and I have attempted many fanfics before but my goal is for this to be my first complete one. I have a one shot Perfect, a drabble 100 Drabbles for the Darling French Belle, and a poetry Teardrops on My Window.
This idea came to me when I decided to write a Adventure story.

Prolouge
My name is Ginny. My parents died when I was 2 weeks old. I never knew them. I was adopted by the Weasley’s. I found out I was adopted on my 11th birthday. I now live in a confused life trying to figure out where I belong.


Lost
“Ginny,” Mrs. Weasley called up the stairs. “Are you sure you aren’t hungry?”

“I am sure,” the red headed girl yelled down the stairs. It had been three days since she found out she was adopted and she was still mad at her family. She fit right in, if she had never been told she would have never found out.

Ginny heard footsteps up the stairs. There was a knock at her door. “Mum I am fine,” she yelled. She would always call Molly, Mum.

“It’s Fred,” the voice said quietly. “Can we talk?”

Ginny slowly opened the door. Fred and George were the only ones she found comfort in. They understood her feelings best of all. She could talk to them easily.

Fred was standing there silently holding a cookie in his hand. “Here, eat.”

Ginny slowly ate the cookie staring out the window while Fred sat on the floor. She peered at him quickly after the cookie was gone. “Why’d you come? I know there is more than just the cookie,” she whispered.

Fred was quiet for a moment then spoke up. “Ginny we all know you are upset, please we want to help. No one except Mum and Dad knew. It was a surprise for everyone.”

Ginny looked up at him. No one knew. She was sure that it was just being kept secret from her. That everyone was leaving her out. It was a surprise for her what Fred said. “Fred, can I talk about this later. I need some time to think it out,” she said quietly turning away from him.

Ginny sat and sat as still as can be. She was going to wait until Fred left. Finally Ginny heard him get up slowly and walk out of the room. She reached under her pillow grasping for the book. Her diary, she pulled a quill out and began to write.

who ever knew it could be so hard
losing what you never knew
that you had lost
until fate had come

Tears slowly began to fall, tears for these unknown parents, which fate had taken. Leaving fate to give her a new course of life. The course of a girl never knowing her parents, now stuck in a family that she couldn’t call her own.

Well I dont have much idea where this is going myself. It was a random idea that I plan to make a story. Though I am open for suggestions.

Broken

The red haired girl tossed and turned in her sleep. She was beginning to have nightmares now. About her parents that she had never meet.

The night was dark and stormy. Halloween and she was being held close to her mother. She heard nothing but all the sudden her mother ran with her…brother…she never knew she had. She was thrust under blankets next to her brother in his crib, but unseen to the world. All the sudden a great green flash of light. Then another.

“No Mum your gone,” Ginny woke up screaming. Then the lights flickered on. Fred stood in the doorway.

“Ginny, are you alright,” he asked in a near whisper. Then there were footsteps. It seemed as if she had woken up the whole house. George, Percy, Ron, Mum, Dad, and even Harry Potter, Ron’s friend, came rushing towards her room.

“Who were my parents?” Ginny asked under tears. It was breaking her shell now that she knew she was adopted. She was being broken inside and out.

Mum and Dad looked at each other with a sad look on their faces.

“Please just tell me,” Ginny yelled. She needed to find out maybe it would stop these nightmares which she knew there were more to come.

“We don’t know,” Mum said quietly, with tears in her eyes, watching her adopted daughter cry over her lost parents. “When you were 4 months old a cloaked man came to our doorstep with you. He said that we must take care of you, adopt you. He said that you would fit right in with your red hair that had just begun to grow. He explained that your parents had lost their lives against….You-Know-Who….and that it was too dangerous to say their names but to please take you in and make you our own.”

“What?” Ginny sobbed even harder now. It seemed as if she would never find out who her parents were, unless she could find out who the cloaked man was.

Then a small voice spoke up. “What was your nightmare?” It was Harry Potter her brothers best friend.

“Well,” Ginny started. “The night was dark and stormy. Halloween and she was being held close to her mother. “You have a brother,” George asked surprised. “Mum, Dad, do you know about this?”

Harry stood there silent as can be as if he knew something. Something that could help her.

“No,” said Mum right away. “We were told nothing of a brother. Maybe someone else had found the boy before the man found you. You did say in your dream you were unseen to the world.”

Ginny stared at a spot on the wall. “Well then can I please just sleep for now.”

“Of course,” Dad said and beckoned them all to leave.

Ginny stared at Harry trying to tell him to come back later. She needed to talk to him. He knew something, she was absolutely sure of it and she needed to speak to him right away.

Everyone left the room and Ginny stayed sitting up on her bed. Waiting for Harry to come back in. He would come wouldn’t he.

OMG OMG OMG I TOTALLY KNOW WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN AND IT IS EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT ORIGINALLY! :O I am totally psyched but at the same time upset that if I'm right i will be sad, and confused (i'm always confused so that isn't new). And if you still don't know where you are going I'm gonna feel really ridiculous for making up the whole thing in my head. But i don't think I am...

Oh well your jumping to conclusions made me think more about the plot and this idea sort of popped into my head and I thought it was cool but I am working on the next chapter now so you will find out soon.

There was a small knock on Ginny’s door ten minutes after everyone left. She slowly got out of her bed and walked quietly to the door. She opened it just a crack and saw that Harry was standing there. He had actually come. Ginny pushed the door in and beckoned him in.

“You know something don’t you,” Ginny said staring Harry in the eyes. “You recognize my dream don’t you?”

Harry sat staring out the window for a moment. “This reminds me of my dream, I have dreamt of a Halloween night where he killed my parents. But, I don’t remember a sister at all.”

“Are you sure that it is the same dream,” Ginny asked quietly. She wanted to be sure before she started investigating about this. If Harry was her brother, well her life was going to be quite changed.

“I am pretty sure, but it could have been a different Halloween. Completely different because….I have heard my dad yell to my mum ‘take Harry and run’ no mention of a sister,” Harry said quietly. “But it could have been because I didn’t know of my sister.”

“I understand,” Ginny said very quietly. “I’ve never had this dream until now.”

Harry got up and began to leave. “I should go,” he said softly as he exited her room.

Ginny sat on her bed; she was so confused with her life. First she finds out she is adopted. Then she finds out she has a brother. Her parents are unknown. Then Harry Potter might be her long lost brother. Which would mean James and Lily Potter were her parents.

Ginny reached under her pillow for her diary. She needed to write about this so when she went to find out her parents, she would have a clue.

I had a nightmare. It was about my parents being killed. I have no idea who they are and neither does mum or dad. I also have a long lost brother who I don’t know. Though I have a clue. Ron’s friend Harry Potter has had similar dreams to this except without me in them. So it is possible that he could be my brother. And mum said that a cloaked man had brought me to them when I was four months old. I must find out who he is. And how would he know the Weasleys would be the perfect family for me because of my red hair. It must be someone at the ministry or something. I don’t know. When I get to Hogwarts in September I plan to investigate. I really need to know this. Otherwise my life will be completely lost. I have been found by Harry and am on my way to finding myself. Oh how I hope I can find myself. What I really need is to be found by that man and him to tell me my parents.

Ginny Weasley ????

Ginny slowly shuts her diary and sticks it back under her pillow. Oh how her life is about to get extremely complicated. She was quite sure of it. It was going to be the adventure of the lifetime for her. If only she had someone to guide her. And she had one more goal. To avenge her parents death. She wanted to find him and hunt him down and kill him. But it would be hard. She must wait until she is older. Older and wiser than she will avenge her parents death. It will be complicated for sure, but she knew she would try.

that's pretty much exactly what i was expecting/dreading from the beginning except now i'm not sure if you are sticking with that or changing it. and i keep forgetting that this is before Ginny goes to Hogwarts, I keep thinking its after she and Harry are together. I will have to wait and see what happens next.

Ginny woke up with a start as mum opened the door quite noisily. “Mum, I’m sleeping, can’t you just leave me alone,” the red head complained.

“You know just as well as I that we need to be at King’s cross in now,” Molly Weasley paused to look at her watch. “It is 9 o’clock and the train leaves in one hour.” She said just realizing how late it really was. “Go down and quickly eat breakfast we do not want to be late.”

Ginny dressed as fast as she could. Trying to look fairly nice for her first day at Hogwarts. She ran down the stairs and flung some cerel into a bowl as quick as possible. “Is first year scary?” she asked the nice Hermione Granger who was sitting across the table from her.

“Not really,” Hermione said. “Except I was made fun of a lot for my extreme smartness. I am really beginning to wonder why the sorting hat didn’t put me in Ravenclaw. Not that I don’t like Gryffindor of course, it’s just that I think I am more of a Ravenclaw. What house are you aiming for?”

Ginny thought about this quietly for a moment. She wanted to say Gryffindor like my family, but she didn’t know who her real family was. It was extremely hard. “I don’t really care, just not Slytherin because…well just because.”

“Keep up, keep up,” Molly Weasley hussled them all along. “Where’s Ron and Harry?”

“I don’t know mum, haven’t seen them,” Ginny said as she looked around. She saw Hermione doing the same and looked at her and shrugged. “They were behind us weren’t they?” she whispered to Hermione.

“From what I know of, yes,” Hermione whispered back. “But I haven’t seen them since we got into Platform 9 and ¾.”

“Neither, “ Ginny said then shyly asked. “Since they aren’t here, or no where to be found, would you mind sitting with me?”

“Course not,” Hermione said cheerfully grabbing Ginny’s arm and towing her towards the train. They wandered the train for ten minutes before finally settling down in an open compartment.

Ginny sat down next to the window and pulled out her new diary she had gotten. It was cool, it was magic and wrote back. It made her feel so understood. She opened it up and began to write.

Tom,
I am finally on my way to Hogwarts. For some reason my brother and his friend, Harry Potter aren’t on the train. I am so utterly confused. Though I am extremely excited to be heading there at last and to be sorted. I wonder what house I will be in. What house where you in Tom? Maybe I will be in the same house.

Ginny watched it do its work and suddenly words appeared.

Ginny,
Oh onto Hogwarts have fun. That is odd don’t they have to be on the train to get to Hogwarts. Well why am I asking you I obviously know the answer is yes. There is always excitement when going to Hogwarts it is nothing new. I was alas a Slytherin, but don’t go by the myth of us being bad. Perhaps you will be a Slytherin. If you are, do tell me how it is.

Well people I was planning on adding more today but unfortunately I have a writers block. I hope to get you some more soon when I come up with some good ideas. Sorry
