Staff Table

The staff are seated at a long table, stretching across a dais at the front of the room. Feel free to come up and greet them after the feast has started.

Hecate sat quietly at the staff table sipping some water. Snakes were in second place... not bad at all... and they were sort of behaving themselves at the table... for Slytherins anyway.

Josephina was still not really sure where the time went. One minute she was planning for her first lesson of the term and the next she was grading the final couple assignments of the term and getting ready to head down to the closing feast.

Overlooking the students and making sure they were behaving themselves . . . mostly . . . Fina glanced sideways down toward where one of her colleagues was sitting. Offering Hecate a brief smile and wave, she turned her attention back to the student tables and sniffled just a bit. There were some mighty talented seventh years she would miss seeing next year. But she knew, wherever they were headed off, they would be alright.

Where were all the Professors? Had they left for the break early? Legend frowned as he made his way up to the Staff Table, Professor's leaving early was SO not cool!

Giving a small wave to Professor Craz-Lafay, Legend walked over to where Hadley sat. The thought of speaking to Lafay one on one was truly frightening so he wasn't about to do the actual thing. "Hey Professor Hadley! Are you coming back next year?" It was going to be his LAST year. She had to be back.

"Hello Mister Chosen," she said responsively, as she contemplated his question. She was totally tempted to say no, just to get on his nerves. Hehe. "Well that all depends... are you coming back next year?" Forget the fact that she knew perfectly well it would be his seventh year.

If there was one thing that Legend had noticed about Josephina Hadley was that she never gave him straight answers. Sure, she answered other kids questions but never his. He liked to think it was because he was so awesome that she knew he already knew the answer so she was just trying to help him think.

"Nope! This is my last year. I'm so smart that I was able to finish all the work needed for Sixth and Seventh years, so I just came by to say bye!" Legend said happily, resisting the urge to roll his eyes. She was still a teacher. And so she could still give him detention, for NEXT year. "But what does that have to do with anything? Are you gonna miss me so much that your life at Hogwarts will be dull and require you to quit?" Smirk.

This term had gone by so fast. Way too fast for his liking really. Now it was time to say goodbye to everybody again and some of them wouldn't even come back next term. The End of Term Feast was always quite sad but enjoyable nonetheless.

Walking up to the Staff Table, Jeremy gave Fina at the other end a grin and a wave before taking a seat next to Hecate. "Hello Hecate." He said softly, touching the woman's arm briefly with a smile. The other person normally sitting next to him wasn't here yet...and he wasn't sure if he should be glad or sad about that.

Riley made his way from the long bench at the Gryffindor House Table and walked up the dias to were the Staff of Hogwarts were sitting. He turned around to look back at the rest of the student body from there and it was actually a rather nerve-wracking position to be sitting out there in the open like that.

But shifting from foot to foot he made his way over to where the Arithmancy Professor was sitting, his heart skipping a beat every so often. He had a crush on her ok? He couldn't do anything about it and he certainly didn't expect anything in return but who said he couldn't still call her his favorite teacher?

He finally reached her section of the table and stood in front of her forgetting how to talk for a second and about the small gift he had wrapped for her. Just standing there.

There was no lying involved when Josephina said mentally that she was gonna miss this kid. However, there was also no way that she would dare admit that to him. His head was already swollen enough. Him and his sarcasm, but she knew she wasn't the only one he gave those kinds of responses to.

Reallllyyy biting her tongue to resist saying something like you wish, she instead laughed. "Better luck next time, Mister Chosen, because you have to deal with me for another year." Mmhm. Cause she totally sneaked a peek at his grades. Maybe. "And please, you are the last person I would quit Hogwarts over. You're not that cool."

Speaking of confidence, Josephina looked toward the front again to notice another Gryffindor standing before her place. Riley Sinclair. And was it just her or did he seem to be hiding something? Strange boy. Taking a sip of her juice again, she smiled slightly suspiciously at him.

"Can I help you, Mister Sinclair?" You know, get it over with so she could eat something, because she totally just noticed how starved she was... Well when the Headmaster finally decided to let them.

Vindictus was sitting in his usual seat - directly to the right of Tate and used the Daily Prophet to shield himself from watching the students (it wasn't his fault that the sports section was embedded in the middle of the newspaper!) His thoughts were on the current Quidditch World Cup that was to be played in the Kalahari Desert in one month's time and he was keeping himself current on the teams that qualified.

Basically, he was doing head official Quidditchy stuff while waiting for Tate to speak before they could eat.

She had something in her eye, maybe a piece of corn from the chips she had been snacking on before, yes. That might be it. It should flush out of her visuary mechanism with this tear thing. Wipe it off and its done. There. Done. Crying? Whaaaat??

Maya took a deep breath as she walked up the dias, that moment at the Hufflepuff table, a 'who-would-have-thought-it' moment, just... But, now was time to eat...hopefully.

There were students at the table, whom she nodded and flashed a light smile their way, and a couple of Professors too. "Josephina." She greeted first, then, "Hectate. Mister Zookara." Hello. And why was she callin him Mister, still? Heh. And, "Vindictus." Nods and smile to everyone.

The Mexicana sat down and stared at nothing in particular.


She needed an apple. Or chocolate.
Just food in particular!

Ah! So she was staying. Legend grinned, he could never be sure anymore. Sometimes Professors just packed up and left leaving them no warning at all. He wouldn't put it past Hadley either, since she had been here for a number of years. Then again...so had Vindictus and the old Quidditch official was still here!

"Pssh. I am cool. You know it Hadley, it's in the numbers." THERE. Using her own tactic agaisnt him. As Riley came up to talk to the Professor he shrugged. Might as well be on his way since Hadley probably wanted to eat and he didn't want to take up her time. "But I'm glad you are coming back next year. Someone has to convince me to stick to Arthimancy for NEWTs." He smirked. "Have a nice Summer, Professor!" He sure would, without anything to do with numbers and his name.

Legend did a complete 180 and turned in to the direction of his other favorite Professor, his mentor, Professor Zookara. The man was having a conversation with the Professor of evil but it was alright to but in right? Professors were there to talk to students and such! "Hey Professor Zoo!!"

Relieved to see that it was not just Dragon Lady, erm, Professor Lafay sitting at the Staff Table – namely that Professors Zookara and Hadley had made their appearance – Kurumi decided that it was time to deliver her final box of cookies.

Making more of a straight line towards Professor Zookara, but making sure to bow slightly to each professor as she walked past, Kurumi opened the box to reveal her sweets.

“Thank you for another amazing year at Howarts,” she chirped. It certainly had been an interesting year. No, interesting was a bit of an understatement. “I hope you all have a good holiday and I am looking forward to my third term.”

She then directed her attention away from addressing all the professors and focused her violet gaze on Professor Zookara.

“And thank you, sir, for everything. Walnut is up in the dormitory sleeping, but I am sure he would like to say thank you as well.”

She was pleased to know that he and her cat got along so well. She would be sure to bring Walnut by the office next term as well.

The Headmaster took his seat, letting his eyes flutter closed for one long relaxed moment before he returned to his ever vigilant state. Was it bad that he was thrilled to death to have the term ending? It had been such a very strange, disjointed term, and he needed the summer to recover.

"Water," he told the glass in front of him, and it filled immediately. He reached, cringed slightly, and grabbed up the glass with his other hand. Summer couldn't come fast enough. Couldn't be long enough.

To say that Kimber was ready for the summer holiday would have been a vast understatement. Truth was, she had spent her afternoon packing and was happy enough to have her luggage sitting by her door by the time she went down to join the Feast.

It wasn't as if she hated being here. But the year had been hard. Far too many ups and downs. She needed to get away. Far, FAR away.

She smiled pleasantly enough at those already seated as she made her way through the tables and up towards her place at the Staff table, offering only those around her a proper greeting. "Good evening, Hecate. Jeremy," she said, squeezing in beside them. 'Please don't let this be weird,' she sent up silently, giving him a weak smile.

He was about to say something when Tate finally sat down beside him.

Nika skipped towards the staff table in hopes to talk to Professor Bishop. She looked around the table and yet The gryffindor couldn't find her. Hmph maybe she's running late? Nika walked towards her other professors and almost jumped back as the saw Lafay. Nika put on her best cute-little-first-year smile and waved sweetly." thanks professor Lafay for making my first year awesome." Well it really had nothing to do with Lafay or her class for that matter but oh well.

She looked around to see some more professors and waved to them as well. "Hi professor Hadley. I never thought I would say this but Arithmancy wasn't that bad."

The little Gryffindor then noticed her COMC professor and gave her a slight smile. She made Nika clean the poo buckets. "Hi professor! I hope next term I won't have to clean buckets filled with dung because that was nasty! Anyways I really like the museum." and the poo not so much. Hehe.
