Default Menagerie Back Room

Through a double-acting door, lies the back room which is off limits to everyone who is not employed by the menagerie. There are quite a few boxes of supplies and some larger cages that Archer keeps for the special orders that he occasionally has to purchase. A larger stone fish tank and various other creature containers line the walls and contain the food that he uses to feed the multitude of animals he sells.

There is also a large garage door and a smaller wood door with a large window that opens to the alley behind the shop.
OOC: This room is only for employees or those invited in by an employee. Do not post unless allowed to do so. Unless you want to suffer the consequences. *shifty*

Dude. The Pensevies aint got nothing on you. Aslan is the God

Amy held the cat in her arms as she waited for the trainer, she put all her purchases in the corner and looked around the room, she looked at the fish tank with interest, looking at each one in term, but she didn't trust herself with fish-not anymore

Archer realized, just a little too late, that the letters he had sent to his interns were a tiny bit vague. He couldn't remember if he had put a time, or a date when they should arrive anywhere in those letters, but he was fairly certain that he hadn't.

Oops.

He was an optimistic kind of guy, though. And it wasn't like the two students who would be interning with him were getting paid for this. Unless, of course, they wouldn't mind getting paid in dog treats. Which, he thought, they would mind. And it was still early in the summer season where he didn't really need help. Of course, he did think of writing them again to set a time and date, but things happened. Things like dogs getting lost in the back room and he kind of just forgot about it.

And speaking of those lost dogs, if the interns were to arrive today, a very good day to arrive, in his opinion, he knew exactly what he would have them do. There were a few dog crates lining the wall by the back door, and every once in a while, Archer would pop his head out from behind some random boxes or fish tank to try and sneak up on the unsuspecting lost dog. Seemed like he was making too much noise.

At least he'd be able to find some interns by being loud. Right?

Humming, Jun made his way towards the Magical Menagerie shop, where he managed to get an internship for the summer. He was actually a bit too excited because he loved animals and ever since finding out he was magical, he started loving magical creatures. Jun walked into the shop, swiftly moving through the people who were awing at the creatures. Where was he supposed to meet the shop keeper? Maybe the back room was most convenient. So that's what Jun did. Hopefully he wouldn't get in trouble already for this.

He knocked on the back door and slowly opened it. "Hello? Mr. Blevins? Are you in here?" he called out, fully stepping into the room and closing the door behind him. Plus, were those dogs crates by the wall?? Did a dog escape or??

WHAT?

She wasn't late.

Actually, Ella wasn't even sure there was a time written on the letter she'd received so she could be incredibly early. Or worse, maybe she wasn't even supposed to come by today! O.o That...would be kind of embarrassing.

Deciding that since she was already here, she might as well go and find the shopkeeper, Ella moved in and out of the crowd and towards the counter. No magical menagerie dude there so...Huh?

Someone...or something was making a lot of noise. It was coming from the back of the store so maybe if she just followed the sound? Yeah.

The blonde just caught a glimpse of someone entering the back room before her so she decided it was safe to head in after. If anything, maybe that person knew where the bossman was and so she slipped inside and shut the door.

"Erm...hey?" Person. Boy person. Younger than her, it seemed. Maybe another intern. "I'm looking for Mr. B..or Mr. Blevins...I'm not sure what I'm supposed to call him, actually." Was he here? And could she play with the animals yet? BOUNCE!

About to take another step deeper into the room, Jun heard the door open and someone speak. Turning, he was faced with a girl. Most likely another intern. No biggie. "Hi, I'm Jun," he greeted the girl. Manners always matter. Then you moved on to the other stuff. Like the question she asked. Right, their boss was somewhat missing. Well, at least to them he was because they couldn't find him. But it was pretty loud in here so. Mr. Blevins was probably hiding somewhere.

"Probably Mr. Blevins for now," It was professional, right? "Yeah, me too. Can't really find him anywhere either. Maybe he's somewhere back here?" That would explain the loud noise. Or maybe something got loose. In which case, that wouldn't be good at all. Mr. Blevins was probably stuck trying to capture whatever got out. If anything did.

"Hey Jun, I'm Ella." Small smile for the fellow intern. Assuming it was a fellow intern. If the kid was back here trying to rob the place, he wasn't nearly stealthy enough. Just saying.

"You're probably right." About the Mr. Belvins stuff. Profession indeed. And clearly this kid was not a robber which was good to know. Ella would hate to have to hit anyone over the head with a random fish bowl or something. Speaking of, this back room had a lot of stuff ALL over the place. Maybe something SWALLOWED the shop keeper? O__O They'd never know what with all the stuff back here. "Maybe. I... Sir, are you in here?!"

He was alive, right?

Jun nodded to Ella. "I'm guessing you're the the other intern?" He probably should've asked earlier. Besides, Ella probably didn't look old enough to fully work at the shop. Though she did look a bit older than him. Now, seriously, where was the shopkeeper hiding? It's been a few minutes now and Jun was getting a bit impatient. Wasn't it bad work ethic to be missing on the day your new interns were arriving for their first day? It sure was.

Well, they weren't going to find him by just standing in one place. "Why don't we move more in and see if we can find him?" Jun said, of course as he walked deeper into the room. It's not like Mr. Blevins could go far anyway. Plus, something was making a loud noise and it could be him. Or maybe an escaped animal and Jun kept thinking. Either way, they had to find Mr. Blevins or this internship was going to end soon.
