Inter-Department Break Room

Located at the end of the Level Seven corridor is one of the Ministry's inter-department break rooms. The room is sleek and modern with a light oak floor and pale dove gray walls. There's a wall of windows which provide a magical view of the outdoors thanks to the Magical Maitenance Department who routinely changes the view based on their mood. Chairs and tables are scattered about the room.

Along one wall is a table where the never-ending percolator provides fresh coffee and an always hot kettle provides water for the perfect cup of tea. Small baskets containing sugar packets, creamer, and stirrers are neatly arranged next to two neat stacks of disposable cups. Next to the table is a watercooler for those preferring to drink water. An enchanted refrigerator is located in the corner and is the perfect place to store a homemade lunch. For those who prefer to buy their lunch, there's an enchanted black box that has rotating pictures of available food along with the price for each. Tap the picture with your hand and the picture will stop. Insert your coins into the slots located to the right of the picture and the shield protecting the 'picture' will vanish so that you can retrieve your food purchase.

Make sure that all rubbish goes in the rubbish bins or else the Magical Maitenance Department will get very upset!

This was his place of refuge because of one thing - coffee. According to the rules of Rex Vindictus, work didn't officially begin until he had his first cup of coffee at the office. Too bad the employees on his level didn't know that. But chaos in the work areas enabled him to slip away and he needed a good cup of joe before making any decisions.

Grabbing a clean coffee cup, he placed it under the tap of the never-ending percolator and pulled it forward. He pushed the tap backwards when it was a quarter of an inch from the top.

AHHHHH!

The aroma of the freshly brewed coffee brought a rare smile to the man's handsome face and he proceeded to add his customary one sugar and one cream to his coffee before stirring it with the stirrer.

Closing his eyes, he inhaled the hot beverage before taking a sip. All I need is a few minutes alone with my coffee, he mused as he leaned against the counter.

Antigone was rather put out that she had to walk so far for a cup of coffee... but it was worth it unless her employees wanted her breathing fire... and she had just come form the fifth floor so it wasn't too far.

She paid no mind if there was anyone else in the room as she click- clacked in, her shoes were loud and they pinched her toes... but they were soooo pretty that she couldn't part with them.

Smoothing out her pencil skirt and stepping up to the counter she kind of grunted as she pawed through things and filled her cup up with coffee, sugar, and cream. "Oh yeah," she sighed after taking a HUGE gulp from the cup.

Sliding into the break room Skander gave a sigh of relief as he noticed that none of his own employees were in here. Oh he liked the girls well enough, they were all fantastic actually but he could do without hearing about Colin "Hot Scot" MacKenzie for a little while. Actually if it were possible to go the rest of his life without hearing the name it would be much better. Unfortunately for Skander being head of the Quidditch Division wasn't going to allow that dream to come true.

Spotting the coffee machine his eyes lit up and he looked like a kid in a candy store. Coffee was his addiction and he couldn't wait to get his hands on the cup. Rushing over there he grabbed a disposable cup and poured a good amount of the liquid inside. Closing his eyes he took a careful sip of the heavenly liquid, straight black was the best in his opinion. This was the best cup of coffee he'd had while living in the UK and he was determined to savour it.

Seeing a man stride in and go straight for the coffee Antigone smiled. "Hello," she said in between gulps of her coffee. She loved cofffee so much and she didn't mind looking at men either. Teehee. This breakroom was win!

Asher decided that since he still had quite a few more minutes before he needed to report that he and his newly bought book would go find some coffee. And thus, he found himself in the inter-department break room. "Good morning." he said nodding to the other two in the room. He placed his book down on a table and headed for the coffee. "Yes, my day as officially started now." he smiled to himself, though the coffee was supposed to come first and then Chloe. But Chloe could be part of his day at any time. After getting the coffee he settled down at the table and cracked open the book to read the first page.

Tom walked into the breakroom and sat down, it had been a hards days and so he had decided that he wanted a little sit down. He looked around and saw a few people talking.

Needing a break from work and the craziness that was Level Three, Gavin wandered a bit around the other levels of the ministry. Taking his time to explore the new improvements that had come with the reconstruction to clear his head. He finally found himself at the open break room on level three and stepped inside, feeling it was a good as spot as any far from Calla and Ryan. The former still plaguing his thoughts but the former Gryffindor hadn't gotten up the courage to talk to her.

Crossing the room for the counter, Gavin set about making himself a cup of coffee. Grabbing a free mug that didn't look like it belonged to anyone in particular and pouring some of the hot liquid inside before turning around absently to survey the room.

Asher finished pouring his cup of hot coffee and looked to the man beside him. "Looks like I'm not the only one that heads for the coffee first, eh?" he asked stepping aside for the man to get his cup of coffee. "Asher Holden." He greeted extending his hand to the man.

Asher said heading to his table where his book sat. He took a sip of his coffee. Then again, he spent most of his time at the ministry down in the department of mysteries...but the name sounded familiar for some reason.

"Probably true," he mused once he had swallowed, "I don't usually venture this way since I'm up at Level 3 but had decided to explore," he explained pausimg for a moment before following him over to the table. The man's company was as good as any for a distraction.

Gavin nodded in understanding as he sat down in an empty chair at the table, listening to the other man speak. Hearing mention of the department his annoying only recently turned friend/flatmate used to belong to, he couldn't help silently hoping Asher was't one of those cut from the same cloth as Ryan. "Yes there have been a fair share to changes to shake everything and everyone up," he said taking another sip.

Walking ever so slow, Rosabelle suppressed the urge to grumble under her breath. Being new was hard, not to mention that she was knew and had to put up with a kunatic, but the harder part was not knowing anyone who worked on the same level. She knew one person and couldn't explicitly call to mind what level he worked. She attained a cup of coffee. Ah yes, black just the way she liked it. No sugar needed.
