The Trophy Room

The Ministry of Magic's Trophy Room is not just a room full of gleaming trophies, but an historical walk through the history of magical games and sports. Massive oak and glass trophy cases line one entire wall of the room. Inside are Quidditch World Cup trophies won by England, British and Irish League Cup trophies, Gobstones trophies and numerous other awards. At the center of the room are various glass display cases containing uniforms, equipment and other relics for each of the Quidditch teams in the British and Irish League. There's even a display case highlighting the history of Gobstones. Hanging on the other three walls of the room are portaits and photographs of award-winning Quidditch and Gobstone teams, as well as individual portraits of famous athletes such as "Dangerous" Dai Llewellyn, Darren O'Hare, and Roderick Plumpton.

OOC: All Ministry of Magic employees, regardless of their assigned department, are welcome to create their own roleplay in this thread.

Annabeth stood looking at the gleaming trophy cases. She'd always loved Quidditch. she'd played as Keeper on her school team in Greece.

His thoughts about Quidditch had brought him to this room. Hands in he pockets he walked in only to see the room had a visiter. "Hey Annabeth."Yes he remembered the woman he meet at the Leaky, though it was his first time seeing her at work.

Annabeth turned, startled. "Oh, hello Nikos." She smiled. "How are you?"

He shrugged his shoulders as he looked at another statue. "I'm well, how about yourself?"

"I'm pretty good. Bit confused with the new Ministry remodeling." You know, the more Annabeth thought of it, the more she liked Nikos and enjoyed his company. He was truley a sweetie, just quiet.

"It takes some getting used to, but I like it. Especially all the creatures on diffrent levels. There's still some things I haven't seen yet." He walked over to another trophy before looking back to the woman. "So how's work?"

"I'am." Looking at another thropy he pulled out his old pocket watch to check the time before placing it back in his pocket. Then he walked over to Annabeth and held out his hand. "It was good to see you again, but I need to get back to work. Maybe we'll meet again?" He smiled at her warmly and waited for her to shake his hand.

Tom looked around he had decided that he would come and have a look around to see if he could see anyone he knew. He smiled as he walked around looking at all the trophies.

On her way back to work, Laura passed by the trophy room. She stopped a step or two beyond the doorway before backpedaling and peering into the room. Now, sure she appreciated the apparently extensive history of Gobstones that was displayed inside, but it was the Quidditch items that really caught her eye. Adjusting the strap of her bag on her shoulder, she entered the trophy room and crossed toward the wall lined with trophies, her modest heels clicking against the floor.

The trophies seemed to gleam back at Laura as she walked along the wall, trailing her fingers very lightly against the glass. The usual thoughts ran through her mind. What if she had went on to play professional Quidditch? Obviously, she would have opted to return to Scotland to play for the Magpies. Go black and white!

Speaking of which, Laura noticed she had reached the end of the trophy display, and she turned on the spot to find herself face to face with a glass case containing items from her favorite Quidditch team. Eep! She walked around for a front-side view of the case to admire the Montrose Magpie artifacts. Sigh. She blamed herself mostly for the lost chance. But then again, she had landed a great position in the Ministry to make up for it -- Broom Regulation! The only downside was the paperwork. Actually, paperwork wasn't all that bad. And on the topic of paperwork, Laura realized she needed to get back to the office soon to do just that.

Dominic stopped to look through the trophy room. He looked over all kind sof trophies, but he was looking for his freind Becca.

Walking into the Trophy Room, Becca looked around and smiled when she saw Dominic "Someone said you were looking for me." she said quietly as she looked at the trophies too. "I heard you got put in my husband's department." Becca looked at him now, smiling.

He saw the quidditch world cup trophy, and couldn't help but smile. He combed out his tangled hair with his hand, wincing when it got caught. "How's work going? It must be hectic with both of you working full time. Who babysits James?" He added, "It's pretty hard for me because of the teenagers. Jason has a girlfreind already and Rue moved away to her grandmothers house in the U.S. to visist another school there." The more he thought about Rue the more guilty he felt. She and him had never seen eye to eye, and she was mad at him for the dissapearance of Katie. He sighed and thought back to when they were a happy family, sending letters to each other by owl, despite the consequences.

"Haha, yeah. It's crazy, but fun! Oh.. we have a house-elf who looks after him." she grinned, thinking of their new house-elf. "But we go back home at lunch as well." They couldn't be away from their baby boy for too long!! "Wow, already?" she grinned, thinking about James getting a girlfriend. Slow down Becca! "Awe.. she moved to her grandmothers house? Is she still going to Hogwarts?" Poor Dominic.

"Oh, it's ok!" He said, shaking it off. "It's not really a family matter anymore. Oh, I like security. When I applied, I was hoping for a different job, but I guess this is ok." He said.

"Mhmm." She wasn't going to talk about that unless he wanted to. He looked uncomfortable when he spoke about his family. "I'm glad." she relaxed and smiled "Yeah, people don't tend to ask to be in security, but you learn to love it." They did! Especially with an amazing boss like Brian.
