The Office of Sebastian A. Bailey, Department Head

Before you reach the work area on Level Five you come across a first door. This is the door that enters into Sebastian A. Baileys office. Once you open the door against the far wall you see a huge desk with a large chair behind it. Against one of the walls there is a cabinet, and as is tradition there is pictures of the last few Department Heads from this level, the most recent of which being Liliana Hunter, and Evaline Bass.

In front of his desk there are two more stern looking chairs that look uncomfortable to sit in, but they actually are, they just appear that way on purpose. Off to the right of the door leading into the room there are two leather desks with a coffee table in between them. It forms a little waiting area, or a comfortable place to have a meeting if Sebastian wishes for the atmosphere to not be so formal.

Knock on the door before entering, and he is sure to be pleasant to you.

Alyssa was a little nervous to be starting her new position today. She carried her box of personal belongings underneath her arm and she went toward the Department Head's office. She took a deep breath and knocked on the door ready to start the day. She hoped she was fit for the job, she had wanted this for a while.

Knock, Knock, Knock

"Mr. Bailey?" Alyssa said and she waited for an answer.

It was the first time that someone had knocked on his door, and he almost could not be more thrilled. He wondered who this could be though. "Come on in," he said, after the person had stopped knocking. The door was unlocked, just has been closed while he arranged his office.

"How may I help you?" he asked with a welcoming smile on his face.

Alyssa had to take a deep breath before she continued, she was a little nervous. "Hello, Mr. Baily, I'm Alyssa Hobgartner, your new divison head for the British Seats divison" Alyssa stuck out her hand for a shake, that was the proper way to great superior. She hoped her hands weren't too sweaty. "I'm just reporting in."

"Well if you don't mind sir, I think I'll just head into the office and get set up, and introduce myself to the other employees" and with that Alyssa turned and made her way to her own office.

Pandora made her way to Sebastian's door and knocked in her customary, sharp manner. She was pregnant, uncomfortable and annoyed.

When his answer was not immediate, she made a low growl in the back of her throat, pulled a band out of her pocket and tied up her hair in a messy knot and knocked again, only harder.

Still not getting an answer, she pulled a self inking quill out of her pocket and wrote on the envelope in her hand.

She used her wand to send the envelope under his door and waddled away in a huff.

Sebastian headed back into his office, and the first thing that he noticed was a envelope of papers on his floor, he picked it up and read the outside of the envelope and opened it out of curiosity.

Ohh, yes, he knew what these were. He went and sat down at his desk and looked through the applications she had dropped off.

Malachi Brown knocked on the door of Sebastian Bailey's office and smoothed his hair unconsciously. There was a knot of tension in his stomach. He needed this job, he needed to stay in England.

It was a new day, and he felt refreshed as he made way into his office for the day. Just as he sat down, and straighted out his desk from the night before there was a knock on his door.

He grumbled slightly as it was first thing in the morning, but nonetheless got up and opened the door to see who was knocking this early. After he opened the door he nodded at the man on the other side and said, "Can I help you?"

Malachi gave what he hoped was a wide, easy smile.

"Mr Bailey? I'm Malachi Brown." He held out his hand. "I'm here about the division head vacancy... The office of International Magical Law?"

Had he come on the wrong day? Oh no...

"Yes, of course, I was expecting you." He pointed the man into his office, he wouldn't take up much of his time though. "My name is Sebastian Bailey, I'm the department head here," he said.

"You're office is down the hall, and the other two division heads should be arriving there soon, if they haven't already," he told him. "Right now, it is pretty slow, it's our slow time of year, but it will get better, and you're employees will be more than happy to assist you." He paused, giving the man a once over. "Do you have any questions?"

He'd got the job? Crikey!

"Umm, no not really." Malachi said, realising straight away that he should ask something, otherwise he'd look like an idiot.

"Is there anything on the horizon that I need to know about? Any characters I should watch out for? Any... friction?"

The last question was prompted by his last experience of office work. He recalled two women screeching at each other like banshees.

"No, everything should be fine, as long as you make an effort to get along with everyone," Seb told him. It wasn't entirely the truth, but he was trying to erase that incident from his head. Hopefully a new face would help things out.

"If you don't have any questions, feel free to head down to the work space," Sebastian said to the man.

Malachi was glad that he hadn't bothered to sit down.

"A happy group then?" He grinned, the customary twinkle lighting his eyes. "Excellent, that's just what I was hoping to hear."

Malachi turned to leave. "I've been looking forward to this. I think it's going to be very interesting. Great to meet you Sebastian."

With that he headed off to the work area, a wide, relieved smile on his face.

It was Sophia's first day at the Ministry. She feels very much excited. She then saw the office of her Division Head. She knocked at the door.
