Gryffindor Common Room

Welcome to the Gryffindor Common Room! Boys dormitories are upstairs and down to your left, girls, the same on your right. You'll find all of your belongings have already been been brought up.

Here is the perfect place to relax after a hard day of school, study, trade chocolate frog cards, play exploding snap or gobstones and to just have fun with your friends. For your own sake, dont let it get to messy or Professor Dumont will have you scrubbing it spotless with your toothbrush.

Ella huffed as she panted her way into the Gryffindor Common Room. After being chased, there is nothing more she'd like than to sit on the comfy armchair and gaze into the fire. She knew that her best friends being in different classes ment a huge separation; she just hoped it wasn't for too long.

Wiping the tiny beads of sweat off her forehead, Ella brushed her brown hair out of her golden eyes, then lounged on the gold chair that was next to a scarlet red one. She grinned to herself, then waited for someone to chat with.

Carter nearly callapsed as he finally made it to the Gryffindor common room. It was a long way up, to a high tower. On the way he passed many strange sights, including moving portraits and changing staircases. Yeah, this school was pretty weird. As he entered in to the common room his eyes met a warm fire, lots of couches, and plenty of scarlet and gold decorations. "Home sweet home." he said with a smile.

Shaylee walked down to the common room for the first time in quite a while. It felt great to be back in the magical castle and she couldn't wait to see all of her friends. Sitting in an armchair close to the window, she kept a look out for the portrait hole to see if a familiar face would come thourgh. There wern't many other people in the common room yet, she Shaylee sat in silence thinking.

Jecca followed her co - grffs.. She was really excited to see and look around the common room. She was waiting for her friends to go with her to the Girls' Dormitory.

"Wow. It's just what i thought it would be." Tori remarked flopping into a red squashy armchair.She let her head sink into the soft back of the chair as she looked up into the high ceiling. Tori closed her eyes and listened to the crackle of the wood in the fireplace."This really is home sweet home."

Carter took a seat next to Tori. He sunk into the armchair. "Ah, this is nice." he said with a smile. He too shut his eyes and listened to the crackle. He could definately get used to this. The crackle was hypnotizing. He decided to open his eyes. If they would have remained shut he probably would have fallen asleep. He looked around the room at all the posters on the wall and the decorations.

Hearing Carter drop into the chair beside her, she opened her eyes. Tori also did a scan across the scanty common room."Looks like everyone's either still stuffing their faces or they went to check out the dorms." Tori said rather lethargically. She wished she didn't want to have to get up any time soon. She liked it just the way it was.

Nancy was so excited, it was his first time at Hogwarts and did not know what to do first, crossing the portrait of The Fat Lady and saw a few guys sitting in different chairs ...

Well, this was it---the moment she'd been waiting for since she was old enough to realize she was a witch. LouAnn had always wondered what the inside of the castle looked like and now she was getting that chance. The Great Hall had been amazing---beyond amazing actually, and the rest of the castle was proving to be just as wonderful. With Violet, her little black cat, cradled in her arms, LouAnn entered the Common Room with a look of pure wonder on her face. The Gryffindor's home away from home was truly unlike anything she'd ever laid eyes on before. None of the schools she'd been to before had ever been this...this...this...elaborate, maybe? Hogwarts was definitely one of a kind, that was for sure. She passed a group of her fellow students and smiled politely at them. "Pretty cool, huh?" she asked, still glancing around the room.

Carter laughed in agreement. "My bet is everyone is still stuffing their faces. Dinner was amazing. I'd still be there if I wasn't so stuffed." Carter said. They were then approached by a girl he hadn't met before. "Hi." he said to the girl. "Are you a first year too? My name is Carter." he said introducing himself.

Tori chuckled as best as she could. She was really feeling the food lull her to sleep. "I'm Tori. How are you?" Tori said to the girl, looking up at her with tired eyes but a big warm smile.

Ruby stepped through the portrait hole into the common room, wiping her forhead. It was a rough day. She looked around the room to find a couch where she could release all her stuffs. She caught the sight of Jecca then walked towards her.

Ellie slumped into an arm chair, too tired to take in her first look of the Gryffindor common room, too tired even to climb the stairs to her dormintory. A couple of tears ran down her cheeks which she brushed away, and then she closed her eyes.

Patroclus stepped through the Portrait Hole, and instantly his heart swelled the common room was so warm and welcoming, all around were his fellow lions chatting amongst themselves, some loudly, others quiet, but all in perfect balance. This was going to be a nice place to call home for the terms!

Ginny stepped in the common room and sat in an armchair.She was so excited that she could actually take lessons at Hogwarts.It was her first year but she felt bubbly and happy,
like she already knew this place for years...''I think I'm gonna love it here!...i hope''she thought as she closed her eyes...she opened them again slowly....''i have to send a letter to mom and dad''she was ready to get up but then she changed her mind''Maybe later''....

Ella decided that no one was going to approach her on their own.

Smiling to herself, she joined a boy who had just entered through the portrait hole. "Hey," she introduced herself, palm out, "I'm Ella." She smiled.

When no one immediately replied to her, LouAnn shrugged and went to take an empty spot on a rather fluffy-looking couch. The couch was right by a window, which suited her just fine. She hadn't had a good chance to explore the grounds yet, so looking out the window would at least give her a feel for the area. Outside, she could see what looked like a corn maze...awesome! That was something LouAnn definitely wanted to try out, even though she figured she'd probably get lost somewhere in there. Maybe once she'd made a few more friends, one of them would go with her, and if she did get lost, at least she'd have someone with her.

Mikaela walked into the commonroom, carrying a thick book under her arm (which definatley wasn't unuaual). She glanced around, trying to spot someone that she might be able to sit with. Her eye caught a girl who was maybe fifteen. Mikaela wondered if she could dit with her...? She was older than Mikaela, but she decieded to give it a go. She walked up to her.
"May I sit here?" She asked, pointing at the armchair across from the one the girl was sitting in.

It was Lucy’s first year in Hogwarts; she was too excited to meet her new friends. Then she saw Ginny sitting there and stepped forward to her to great her and say “hello”.

When LouAnn heard a voice coming from just behind her, she turned from the window to find a younger girl, a first year maybe, asking if she could sit in a nearby armchair. "Oh, of course you can. I'm glad to have the company," she replied, turning around on the couch so that she was now facing the girl instead of the window. "I'm LouAnn, a fifth year. What about you?" she asked. If she had to guess, she'd say that this girl was about eleven, which would be close to Lucas' age. Lucas, LouAnn's brother, would be at Hogwarts next school year. "There's a corn maze out there," she said, pointing just outside the window. "I was just looking at it and thinking it might be fun to try. I'm positive I'll get lost, though."

Ella glanced around the common room to find the girl named Ellie she'd seen on the train crying. She swiftly walked over. "You okay?" she asked softly.

Lucy walked into the common room, full from breakfast. Since she had a break right now, she decided to read. She plopped into a comfy chair by the fire, and took out her arithmancy book.
"Huhhhh,..." she said to herself, finally relaxing a bit.

Achilles moved through the common room. James had described it before to him and this was exactly as he had imagined. Poor James. Other than that, Achilles moved around smiling. He saw fourth year girl. He walked to her. "Are you Shaylee? James told me about you."

Alexandra crawled out of the portrait hole into common room and sighed in relief. It was the coziest place she had ever been. She walked over and made herself comfortable in an armchair near the fire. She looked around and said, to no one in particular, "Hullo, I'm Alexandra"
