The Spirit Room

The door swings open to reveal a dank and dusty room which has clearly been vacant for years. White sheets cover the furniture, cobwebs fill every nook, cranny, corner, and everything in between. A layer of dust permeates every aspect of the room. For some reason, all you can do is stand and stare inside.

Though the door swung open easily, a strange barrier prohibits the living from entering this room. The barrier was put in place by Marcella Riddle the term after her unfortunate demise and protected the peace and quiet of the ghosts still residing at Hogwarts. The room has laid quietly in the years since the young Hogwarts ghosts reattained their bodies.

Laylee was walking along the fifth floor corridor, making her way down to the girls bathroom on the 3rd floor when she passed a certian door she didnt seem to remember last term. She never really walked down this corridor now that she thought about it. She looked at it for a moment, and curiousity taking over she stepped closer and opened the door. The room was amazingly dusty and there were cobwebs everywhere! White sheets covered the furniture. The house elves must not enter this room...? She thought, since it was so dirty. Wait, Laylee remembered this room! She read about it, in Hogwarts, A History! Wondering why she had never traveled to visit it before Laylee took a step forward wondering if the barrier Riddle put on it was still in tact. Sadly, as Laylee came closer, she felt it. A sort of invisible barrier keeping her out. She frowned in disapointment. Laylee slowly closed the door, and continued on her way.

Wandering around the fifth floor Kyle came across a room with its door open. Feeling curious he walked up and noticed it wasnt empty. His mouth opened slisghtly as he looked aorund. He hadnt been in this room before. He took a step to walk into the room but noticed he couldnt. Furrowing his eyberows he tried again. He couldnt walk in. He shrugged and headed toward the grounds.

Shana was looking forward to coming to the spirits room she'd never seen a ghost before and here she would see lots.She smirked at Ruby who was following.Mabye She would have a best mate and mabye that Best mate would be Ruby! Or mabye her Sakura and Ruby could all be best mates.She heard something,Something unusual Ruby was that you ? Shana wasn't scared and she sertainly wasn't going to cry shana never cried well only occasionally when something really sad happend and that was only when she was by herself.

Shana walked around and suddenly she felt something on her neck someone pinching her Ouch! Rubyy what was that for ? Shana walked over to a bench and sat down.Her legs were hurting after walking up all those stairs.

Ruby heard Shana cry out and she stood where she was and said "how could it be me Shana i am stood here see?" she then sighed and continued "didn't i just promise not to hurt you?"

Shana gulped Ruby had just given her two very true facts.Er..Er..Ermm....Yeah you d...d..d..d..did.Shana looked around and gulped again she could see tons of ghosts flying before her very eyes.She sprinted across the room Back too Ruby and grabbed her arm,Not that she was scared or anything.

"The children have told the adults," the Grey Lady said and knew that the others would hear her. "What should we do?"

[Fat Friar]

Invisible, the Fat Friar floated through the wall into the Spirit Room and came to a halt just before the Grey Lady. He responded with a strained voice, "We must come up with a way to keep their knowledge and experience as minimal as possible. They know, yes, but let's not let them find out more. The damage could be too severe to even contemplate."

[Nearly Headless Nick]

"I agree completely," said Nick, floating into the room shortly after the other ghosts. "Too much has been revealed already, and we must find a way to try and fix the path of devastation. I also fear for what could happen as a result of this knowledge getting out to the staff and students, they have seen far too much already."

[Bloody Baron]

"Who told the bloody children in the first place?" the Baron demanded. This whole thing had been a mistake from the beginning. "No living one could be trusted, and none had known. Which of us is the traitor?" He glared about the room with demanding eyes, as he floated in.

"Yes, too much, too much entirely!" he gloated as Nick made his opinion known, "what is there to do about it? None of us can give everyone amnesia potion, and I doubt the house elves will be accomodating."

We may not be able to physically move anything, but there are other things we can do, and unless you both leave this room now, you can certainly count on those things being done to you."

Shana was too busy watching the ghosts fight to reply to Ruby so she just mummbled trying not to loose concerntration Uh Huh. Shana thought the ghosts arguing was quite amusing,It was acctually better than cable! Esspecally there house ghost he was really cool.

Hugo stumbled into the room. Where in Merlin's beard was he? EEEK! He coughed, a cloud of just shooting up into the air. Ahhhh, allergies! Sneezing once, twice, three times, he took a step forward, squinting through the gloom. What was this place? And what was that freaking barrier? Hmph. Total kill joy. "Helloooo?" He called, beginning to feel a sense of worry and nervousness wash over him. If there was a barrier...he probably wasn't supposed to be there. Whoops.

Shana was really interested in the ghosts they seemed really peaceful apart from when one of them threatend to hurt them which she was quite worried about,but she had no idea why she was scared of them.She was watching them argue hoping they would stop soon,She couldn't see what all the fuss was over of corse the children where going to find out they do kind of live at the school.She heard someone's voice.Oooh Baron was not going to be happy about this he already wanted them to leave and now there was someone else here.Hey Hugo. Shana said in the quietest possible voice hoping He would acctually hear it.

Ruby heard someone cough and she spun round "who are you!!!!" she inquired as far as she was concerned it was her Shana and the ghosties

"There was a barrier up, you stupid little brat. NOW I see the cause of the shame of Slytherin house. Stupidity. The barrier was put up by Marcella Riddle herself!"


And then, several more entered the Spirit Room. "ENOUGH of this foolishness." The Baron's power erupted out from him, pushing the living back out of the room and reinstating the barrier that had been there in the first place, this time with several more charms about it so that no mere student could break them down again. Then he slammed the door shut and sealed that for the time being. There. That would keep those nosey brats out of this room, and keep them from hearing anything.

Keep in mind, you are NOT in the room, and with the door shut, you're not going to hear anything.

"Myrtle can never keep a secret," the Grey Lady confided to the other ghosts in the room and heard student voices on the other side of the door. "Perhaps you can have Peeves take care of these obnoxious students when we're finished, Baron." She smiled at him and then remembered what she wanted to say to them. "I have an idea on how to protect our treasure." Her voice dropped to a level that no human being or animal could hear as she told the others of her plan. "It should work," she finally said with much satisfaction. "Shall we now go to the room?"
