Monica stood on the platform, she wanted to see James before she got into a carriage.

Tia stepped off the train with her things and was confused she hoped to see Brandon before heading off in the carriage

Derek stepped off the train and looked around this was nothing like Talen had explained he turned and looked at Alex " Is this how its suppose to be?"

Monica looked at Tia. "Something stinks here, since when have we ever ridden to school in separate carriages?"

Will stepped off the train, looking around with confusion. "Well, this is unusual... It looks like they're... splitting us in carriages up by gender?" He said, a twist of despair shooting through him. He had hoped to keep talking with Jaimine on the ride to the castle, and... Parting is such sweet sorrow... he thought sadly.

"I guess this is where we part company, until we get to the castle..." he reluctantly said.

Alex stepped off the train and onto the platform next to Derek. She looked around and saw the carriages, what was going on, why were they seperating the girls and guys? This made no sense, non at all, they didn't do this last term, why are they doing it this term. She looked at Derek and shook her head. "This hadn't happened last term, I wonder why it's happening now." She said, looking at the carriages and not wanting to leave Derek.

Tia nodded and said "Yeah i agree Monica this is too strange for words cause we have never rode up to the school in seperate carriages before"

Emily and Henry debarked the Hogwarts Express and took a look around the platform. She frowned when she saw the two carriages. What in Merlin’s beard was going on!? If there was one thing Emily hated, it being kept in the dark about things.

She wrinkled her nose when she saw the old woman in the girl’s carriage – Eew… old people were really gross… they smelled funny and tried to give you boiled sweets which had been in a dish on their mantelpiece for centuries, and all those wrinkles. ...Just eeew!

She looked down at Henry cradled in her arms… he was male – if they didn’t let her lizard come with her, she would refuse point blank to even get into one of those carriages. She looked around for Dan. She had been sitting with him moments before, and now there was no sign. She wanted to see him before they went their separate ways.

"If you'll excuse me," he muttered, grabbing the bag and pulling it over his shoulder. "I see that there is no need for me to be here. As well as I need peace and quiet to read my book. Good day." And with that Kingston opened the door and walked out of the compartment.

Knowing full well this was probably a mistake to try and talk to him, Amelia was stubborn and had to try. Swinging her messenger bag over her shoulder, she picked her owl's cage up and followed the tall blond boy out of the compartment. The seventh year hardly noticed that something was different at the station, but was instead focused on the one person that frustrated her most. Kingston Wendleworth.

"Actually, Wendleworth, it does," she told him pointedly as she dragged her trunk towards the carriages. "Despite your persistence in wanting to be alone, you're a Hufflepuff and fellow student. I don't want to see you do anything foolish." She sighed, hoping she was making the right decision.

"Now if you will, what have you seen? Because you look like you've seen a ghost or maybe worse..."

Cale stepped off and looked around. Wait, they were supposed to split up? This was sooooo not fair--he had no other friends that were guys!

He didn't want to say bye to his friends...especially Cora...this was weird. Weren't they supposed to go straight to the feast? He was hungry!

Gwen clambered off of the train with her trunk behind her and Dusty in her arm, waiting to board a carriage. But there was an air of confusion about the platform...

"What's going on?" she asked Cale.

After quickly getting away from Rapunzel, Willow stepped out of the train, and made her way trough the sea of people that were staning in The platform of the Hogsmeade station. She was soo happy to be back at school.

Something was wrong, however.

Why there were two carriages instead of the usual one, eh? She frowned at the whole thing. Sure that she wasn't very fond of most of the boys around the school, considering that some of them smelled funny, but hey, there was no need to separate by genders!

This was different. More than different, it was very strange.

Stepping off the train Vannie looked around, seeming very confused. Two sets of carriages? Whaaaat was that about. Were they being seperated into girls and boys. Waaaait she didnt actuall know any girls at all. Well unless you could count those brief encounters with Amelia and Bella. Hmm. Oh dear. One confused hufflepuff present.

"Tancy?" her eyes whirled around everywhere. There was such a mess of people when she'd gotten off the train she'd lost his hand, and therefore, lost him. "Tancred!" she called again, but panic was rising in her chest. She wasn't sure if it was exactly because she couldn't find him, but where she was standing was unfamiliar. Why couldn't she see the castle? Why were people here? What was going on?

She blessed the heavens above and every God that ever existed that she found a patch of blond hair. A tall patch of blond hair. She nearly stumbled and fell before she reached him, clutching onto his arms as if he meant safety. "Kingston!" she breathed, much too happy to see him, and much too panicked by the alter in situations. She didn't like this different thing. She didn't like not knowing what was happening. "What's going on? Why aren't we at school?" she breathed, looking everywhere as she latched onto his arm, not seeing anything or anybody past that. Where was Tancy?

Kingston got off of the train and stared at the station. Why were they here? And why in blazes were there separate carriages?! Something was very wrong here, he thought looking back to see if Lindsey had gotten off the train.


"Will you be quiet, Rose?" Kingston asked rudely as he was trying to think. But that seemed impossible with her talking about he was a fellow Hufflepuff. "And I would be the last person who'd do something foolish. Really now," he sighed, running a hand through his hair.

"Why are you so curious with I've seen?" Kingston asked with a raised brow. "And what makes you think that I have seen something that might have terrified me?"

"But before you answer to that, Rose. I suggest you look at what's happening around you."


Before the older girl could reply, Kingston's arm was soon clutched by something much shorter than he was. Looking down, he saw that it had been Lindsey who had been clutching onto him. Her eyes panicked as her tone was when she spoke to him. Unconsciously, he pulled her into him and wrapped his arm around her waist. "I have no idea," he told her honestly. "I think..."

Dan appeared next to Ems on the platform a worried look upon his face " Ems , whats going on ?" he asked, why he thought she would know , who knows. He glanced to the boys carriage , the man was oldish and fat " he looks like fun " Dan said sarcastily as he gestured towards the man.

Oh, but that meant he had to find a carriage with other guys. And, he had hardly any guy friends. He could try to track down Jack, of course, but they had barely spoken. In fact, he just now realized he had only seen a few people that he had met in Diagon Alley on the Train. "Should we...get going, then?" he asked.
