A musty cupboard containing brooms, mops, and other various cleaning supplies.

Jack walked slowly into the broom cupboard and looked around for a good broom, he went to pick a broom, a sad look on his face showed he was not in the mood for a fight, at all.

Sakura had been following Jack and silently slipped into the broom cupboard behind him. He seemed so sad, at the moment she couldn't remember why she had been so scared of him. Staying quiet she slipped her arms around him and placed her head on his shoulder. She whispered, "Please tell me what's wrong, it isn't nothing, it was something."

Jack sat on the floor "I can't understand what's going on" Jack shook his head "I need..." Jack stopped, thinking of Dumont's face when Jack had told him about Jose "I need to do what I can" He said rather cryptically and trying to avoid the question

Sakura knelt next to Jack, placing her hand on his arm. "What don't you understand and what do you need to do?" She knew what he was doing, she used the same tactics, she decided to see if he would try and read her mind again, assuming that he would she made sure that her concern for him was at the very top of her thoughts. "You never answered my question before, are you like Jose, can you read minds? John said that he thought that you could, but I didn't really believe him, now I'm thinking he was right."

"So what if you are? That doesn't make you a bad person, not unless you let it, magic is magic." Sakura said in a firm tone hoping to reassure him. "Were you trying to read my mind before? And if you were, had you ever tried to do so before then?"

"I'm glad, I don't like people invading my privacy. If they do they might find out some things that they don't like. Which you did didn't you? You heard or read or whatever that I was scared of you. At that moment I was, but I wasn't before then and I'm not now." To prove her point she wrapped her arms around him pulling him closer, showing him that he was there if she needed him.

Almost gently she asked, "Now why are we in a broom closet and is there a specific reason why you don't like Professor Dumont? Your prefect was talking to me yesterday, she wasn't happy with you and John getting detention."

Jack told Sak bitterly

"There's no need to take it out on me. I know part of what he did, I also know that he left you a note. Can I see it? There may be a charm or something on it. I also know about Liam and your mother, things seem to push people away from your family, what if the same happened to your brother? Maybe you aren't scared of what she would do, but what about getting expelled, do you care about that? Do you care about what that would do to me?" She looked at him seriously, she knew, even if he did go down the wrong path, she would follow him till the very end, but it would most likely kill her.

"Why do you feel the need to escape? You have problems obviously, but I can't help if I don't know what they are, I can't be the person you need me to be if I don't know exactly what is wrong. And it has to do with more than Jose, that much I know." She was still hugging him tightly, hoping that he wouldn't push her away, hoping that he would let her help.

As she started to stand Sakura muttered "I so don't need this." Out loud she said, "Maybe because I think you're worth it, because I care, although God knows why, I'm not supposed to care, but I do. More calmly she said, "It's the way that you act, one minute you act like you like or love someone but then the next, you scare them or yell at them. It's like you have a split personality, as if something is buried deeply. Just look at how your acting now, you're acting as if I'm your enemy, but I'm not. I just don't want you to get hurt, I just want to help, with anything that I can." Thats when Sakura felt it again, she was getting dizzy, her magic must be going haywire or something, maybe she was too stressed all she knew is that she was suddenly on the floor again and that it had been an involuntary movement.

Fine" Jack turned towards the door "I know where he is, and I know he's in danger" Jack growled at Sak "I have to keep my family safe" Jack told her "I'm going" Jack walked out of the door "I know you aren't the enemy but you are acting like it" Jack told her before stalking off, he didn't know Sak was on the floor. He was too annoyed, he walked out of the great hall and into the courtyard

Sakura slowly picked herself up, she knew that she should see the nurse but she couldn't leave things this way with Jack. So she decided to follow him, wherever he was going.

Ruby spotted Jack storm out of the broom cupboard and saw Sakura on the floor she ran in and said in a panic "cousin what is wrong?"

Sakura looked up when she heard Ruby's voice. "Everything is fine. Why wouldn't it be?" Sakura smiled a certain smile, one Ruby would know meant that she didn't want to talk about it.

"Dumont is letting me earn my points back by the way." Sakura said, knowing that her cousin would be pleased.

Ruby looked at her cousin "i know you don't want to talk about it but why are you on the floor and Jack is coming out of here like a madman? i am concerned for you Sakura" on hearing about the points she raised an eyebrow "how is the Professor letting you earn back the points"

"It was nothing, I just feel drained emotionally at the moment. And Ruby I believe that it is private." She raised her eyebrow, the second warning that she didn't want to talk about it. "As for with Dumont, well he told me not to involve people, simply that I am to report to his office often." Sakura knew that Ruby wouldn't push too much if she thought that Sakura couldn't tell her things due to the Professors orders, although technically he did say to tell only those who needed to know and Ruby didn't need to know.

Looking up she asked, "Ruby can you help me up please? I think the ground is making me dirty."

Ruby helped her cousin up and looked at her she decided not to push her any further and said "let me please ask you something as a family member Sakura please be carefull with what ever you are doing i don't want to see you get hurt," Ruby hesitated for a moment and continued "please could you just make sure that your not getting into anything dangerous and if you are i hope you would come to me for support" Ruby looked at her cousin and smiled nervously she was not trying to get her to revel what she was doing she was just supporting her

"Too late." Sakura muttered under her breath, hoping that her cousin didn't hear her. Yes it was definitely too late. However she smiled at Ruby and said, "So how have you been this fine day." As she said it she put on an accent, trying to add some humor, "Have you run into anyone important?" She asked as she dropped the accent and began to walk out of the cupboard.

Ruby heard her cousin's comment and decided she would take action "no i have not met anyone of interest lately cousin" she looked around the cupboard and pulled a face and continued "what about you?"
