After the performance of the third installment in this series, The Secrets of Dumbledore, it has been reported that WB is not actively going to be pursuing the continuation of the FB Franchise at this time. While they originally planned five films for this series, it seems like this might be a wrap on our buddy Newt and his adventures.

What are your thoughts on this? Disappointed we won't get more FB films? Happy that they brought it to a close without drawing out the story more than necessary? If they do bring back our gang for two more movies, what would you like to see??

I'm disappointed about the downhill trend the three movies have had in terms of performance. I adore the cast, love meeting the creatures and enjoyed seeing events of the past that we've read about in the HP books come to life. Initially when the movies were announced, I was beyond thrilled because of Newt. Though I'd want the story to continue, I can understand why WB would want to cease them

I feel like the could do one more at least - to watch the offical conflict/duel/battle between Dumbledor and Grindelwald and see how he is defeated. I feel like the they left alot of loose ends with Newt and Tina to. And Bunty being in love with Newt - but Tina being kind of indifferent in the last film - would be a fun dynamic to explore to.

But with the whole John Depp saga (won't even go there) and then the cast change for Grindelwald I feel like the last move really wasn't that great and I found myself disappointed in it. So idk ... I would love to have the story come to full conculsion but also get it.

^ I agree about the duel!! I HATE not getting a conclusion. Although the movies were lackluster in their writing (ironic, right?) they really had a stellar cast and some cool special and visual effects. So I am disappointed that my millenial friends and I won't get to continue our tradition of watching a new HP movie together. I do feel like JKR's bad press and tweets were a factor in this, and that stinks for the good folks involved in these films.

I'm sure you are right - I kind of forgot about that or rather just block that part of my memories so as to not taint a world that I love with the good/bad/ugly lol.

I loved the speical effects with the creatures and the way Newt interacted with them! It was great to see him "make stuff up" to interact with the creatures lol!

that really sucks they possibly wont be making anymore of these movies maybe someone else will pick up were they left off

Haha I try to block it out too... hard to separate the art from the artist sometimes...

Yes!! He is the best part of these movies! The fluffy cat toy for the Zouwu!!! So cute! The animals make these movies! Plus I mean... it's in the title.

I actually think a mini-series or anthology-type show for Newt would be so good, if they're not making a movie. Then they can focus on CGI, a limited cast, and don't have to worry as much about placing the plot in line with other wizarding world events. I'm honestly surprised Newt has any idea what's going on in the world at the time... he just seems more like a head-in-the-clouds, lost-in-the-rainforest type of guy.
