Fruit Bowl

Out of all of the paintings hanging on the walls of the basement corridor, the one depicting a silver fruitbowl is an easy favourite for some of those here at Hogwarts. While many may think that there is nothing special about this particular painting, those who are well-informed about its purpose know what lies beyond. Past this painting is where all of the food you stuff in your mouth three or more times a day is made.

If you're in the need of second breakfast, elevenses, or a mid-afternoon snack, then this is the place to be. If you are someone who knows this particular castle secret, you know those bananas and grapes aren't there just to make your mouth water and your stomach rumble. Simply reach out your hand and tickle the delicious-looking pear in the corner. After it has a squirming fit and laughs, it will transform into a green door-knob and grant you access to the grand Hogwarts kitchen where anything you desire can be whipped up in no time at all.

Tickle the apple. That was the key to get into the kitchens.

Except it wasn't working. Frowning, Ignacio took a step back and turned his head to confer with Danielle, before remembering that he'd left his toad in his dorm and she wasn't on his shoulder. Rubbing between his eyes with his thumb for a moment, he mentally wondered whether he should get someone - had something happened? Were the elves trapped?!

That would be worse than him just struggling to get in for an extra snack.

Christianna was in DESPERATE need of sustenance and she simply could NOT wait for the next meal serving in the Great Hall. She needed to snack on something NOWWWW and she was very much prepared to beg the house elves to provide her with a little snack to mull her over in the meantime. It was a lovely plan indeed!

Turning the corner in the dungeons to where the kitchen was located, Christianna was surprised to discover someone attempting to get into the kitchen. And from the looks of it, it would appear that they were tickling the wrong fruit. Calling out to the boy as she continued her approach, "You're supposed to tickle the PEAR!" Hoping that might help and also, hoping that they would figure it out before she'd reached the fruit bowl so that she could just stroll right into the kitchen in one easy motion. But her grumbling stomach would be distracted for a moment when she realized who it was causing the pink hair teen to smile brightly, "IGNACIO! Fancy seeing you here!"

Deciding that he'd try again one more time before getting help, Ignacio reached out and tickled the apple once more. A rather aggressive tickle, it was, and he mindlessly wondered whether anyone had tickled so hard they'd scratched through the paint. Of course, he reasoned to himself, it was probably magically reinforced paint, but maybe -

"Christianna, hey," he said with an awkward little way. "Guess summer was longer than I thought." He added, by way of explaining his wrong choice of fruit to tickle.

Her smile never faltering as she'd arrived in front of the painting beside him. Christianna let out an amused giggle before tilting her head in a curious manner, "Having a little trouble are we, hmm?" Her playful teasing continued as she said, "Sounds to me like someone's still got summer on the brain, can't say I blame you honestly! Giving his shoulder a gentle nudge, "Need a little help?"

The pink-haired teen took a step forward to extend her arm towards the painting to properly tickle the pear watching as it squirmed for a few moments waiting to hear it's laughter until TA-DA the pear had transformed into the green door-knob. "YAY!" Clapping joyfully at her success once the door-knob had appeared before looking back up at him with a suggestive nod to open the door himself, "After you?"

"Summer is too short, of course it's on the brain," Ignacio agreed with a small smile. He'd loved his summer break, of course, but there was a little part of him that was glad to be back - he hadn't spent nearly enough time with his friends over the break. Plus, the Castle was kinda cool, in it's own, ancient way.

AHA. Luckily Ig wasn't one who embarrassed easy, though there may have been a tinge of pink around his cheeks. "The apple, I should have known that," he commented. "Thanks, Christy. I was sure they'd locked it to students, or something." At least now he wouldn't forget again, not in a hurry - and if he did, the pink haired beauty tickling the apple was a strong image.

Reaching forward, he pulled the door open.
