Default Duelling Arena

A space opposite the Training Room has been reserved solely for duelling purposes. This room is perfect for those who are looking to practice any defensive spells that were learned in class and enhance their duelling techniques. Anyone that chooses to duel here need note that they will be doing so without supervision, so duel wisely. Under no circumstances should this room be used for late-night duelling.

Upon opening the door and crossing the threshold, you find yourself in a rather extravagant room with no windows and a high ceiling. A sole fireplace on the wall opposite the doorway warmly lights up the space in addition to the numerous portraits that cover the walls. Should you start a conversation with them or just cast a fair look at them, it will be pretty obvious that these portraits are of renowned Aurors, Curse-Breakers, and Duellists, which are known to comment on your technique, shout out spells you should cast, or make bets on whether you or your opponent will win.

Various platforms have been placed around the room for your convenience in traditional duelling fashion, preventing you and your opponent from using the entire room as your stomping grounds. Regardless of the limitation, each platform still allows for plenty of maneuvering space. Along each of the platforms are a row of benches for those who wish to spectate, thought it should be noted that they are not safe from any rogue spells.

For those not wishing to duel another human, there are a number of magical dummies that your disposal. They can be found along the left wall, and a simple tap of your wand will bring them to life. Just remember to repair and return them to their original place when you are done.
