Girls' Dormitories

[MadMadamMalfoy]

Located at the top of a spiral staircase and just to the right are the Gryffindor girls' dormitories. Rooms are assigned according to year, and each door is marked with a wooden plaque. Room assignments are as follows:

Each room is home to several cozy four poster beds with gold sheets and pillows and a bright red velvet covering. There are matching red silk curtains that can be drawn to give the occupants a bit of privacy. Each bed has its own nightstand, and, in keeping with the Gryffindor element of fire, the rooms are lit with magical flames in fireproof, shatterproof jars.

Thirsty? A mini fridge stocked with bottles of water sits in one corner of each room. You may even find a midnight snack in there somewhere! In accordance with Headmaster Scrimgeour's rules regarding food, the mini fridges have been removed.

Please remember that this is the girls dorm, in other words NO BOYS ALLOWED! But just in case, the staircase is bewitched to turn into a slide should anyone get any ideas.

Hopefully you listened to Headmaster Scrimgeour's words during the feast and took the phrase 'make sure you get plenty of rest for your first day of classes' to heart. Bright and early, before the sun was even up, a blaring noise fills the entire castle. It is so loud that it is sure to wake any heavy sleeper.

"EVERYONE IS TO REPORT TO THE QUIDDITCH PITCH FOR THE DAILY S.O.R.E. — SPECIAL OBLIGATORY RUNNING EXERCISES — IN TWENTY MINUTES," booms a gruffy voice. "THOSE WHO DO NOT SHOW UP WILL FACE SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES."

The sound and the message continue on repeat, only the amount of time decreases with each minute that passes by. Hurry up, throw on some running clothes, and get down to the Quidditch Pitch!

[Granger Danger]

Stella groaned at the booming voice as she was putting on her Gryffindor robe. Seriously what were they in military school with a early calling. Looking at her snowy white owl that hooted at her she smiled at her. "It's ok Winter, this big mean bully isn't going to ruin our year!" petting her beautiful owl she fed her owl treat before sighing grabbing her things. " Well...this morning is off to a great start, I'm glad I was already awake! Stella grumbled packing her things.

Making sure she was presented neat and tidy she rolled her eyes and groaned. " Wish me luck Winter with the big bad wolf!" she said. Looking at herself once again she nodded at her appearance, last thing she needed was to get on the Headmaster's bad side. The big bad wolf might come after her and it wouldn't be pretty.

CRASH!

That was the sound of the third year falling to the floor after toppling over her own trunk. Thanks a lot loud blaring noise and super grumpy person's that filled the entire dorm!

Dear Merlin! Great way to cause harm to someone so early in the morning. Sigh.

Rylee lay there on her back on the dorm room floor rubbing her shoulder for several long seconds, her hoodie still covering her face and only one arm through the proper arm hole. Just before she busted up laughing. Of course she had to be getting dressed already when this happened!

Still laughing she sat herself up and tugged her over-sized hoodie down over her head the rest of the way while slipping her other arm into the arm hole. This was certainly not how she had planned to begin her day. Falling that is. She had in all honesty been planning a morning run anyhow. Only now she wasn't as excited about it. Being forced to run wasn't fair even if she enjoyed it, they should get the option.

Tugging on her sneakers, the lioness hopped up onto her feet and headed from the dorm room calling over her shoulder to her kitten, "I'll see you in a little bit, Lamb. Behave!"

Zoryn was going to kill her. Which first year was playing the Merlin forsaken trumpet AT THIS HOUR?!!?

She tried everything. Pillow over head. Fingers in ear. GLARING at the doorway.

And when nothing worked, she walked to the door, opened it and SCREAMED!

"SHUT UP," and then retreated back to her bed, hearing the sound quiet at-- LITERALLY, W H Y?

Slowly she lifted her head up again, looking for some sort of explanation aside from this ridiculous 'get out of bed to run' notion. Zoryn Spinnet was not amused.

And she was not getting out of bed. (Not until the last minute possible, at least).
