He’s the type who would rather spend an evening alone with his cat and a good book than in a crowd of people. He gets very nervous around people he doesn't know or that he thinks don't like him and rarely speaks unless spoken to first, out of fear of saying the wrong thing and causing conflict. Gaston is a compassionate, open-minded person who is generous with second chances and pays special attention to those who have been bullied or lack confidence. He's very expressive with his emotions, especially when sad or frightened, but despite his emotional nature, he's hardly ever angry. Early Life
Gaston is the only child of Raoul and Marceline Marchand. He started exhibiting signs of magic at an early age, and his muggle parents didn’t know what to think of it. At first they thought he was just accident-prone, but as Gaston’s magical mishaps became more frequent, they started to wonder if he was doing it on purpose. After Gaston was expelled from muggle school at age 7 for accidentally injuring a classmate who was bullying him, his parents took him to renowned French psychiatrist Dr. Severin Javert, who treated Gaston like a bad kid and recommended keeping him in isolation until he learned to control his “destructive tendencies”. For the next four years of his life, the only human interaction Gaston was allowed was with his family or Dr. Javert. The one bright spot in his life at that time was Dr. Javert's receptionist, Manon Evremonde. Mlle. Evremonde, a young witch working her way through university, tried to undo Dr. Javert's damage by encouraging Gaston to use his magic and wrote to her father (the Charms professor at Beaubatons) asking him to intervene on Gaston's behalf.
Beaubatons
The happiest day of Gaston's life was when Professor Evremonde came to speak to his parents. Evremonde tried to explain how dangerous it was to supress a young wizard's powers, but he ended up in a heated argument with Gaston's father. Gaston felt vindicated when he learned he was a wizard and quickly became attached to Professor Evremonde. He was excited to go to Beaubatons and be around other young wizards/witches, but when he actually got to school, he found it wasn’t what he’d expected. The years he spent in isolation made it hard for him to relate to his classmates, and he gained a reputation for being odd.
Gaston picked up on all aspects of magic fairly quickly and excelled in his studies (his strongest subjects being Charms, Astronomy, and Transfiguration). He was most often found in the library and was happy to help his classmates with their homework. That was how he met his best friend, Lucien Chevallier, during his second year. Gaston was in the library when he overheard him complaining about flunking Charms and offered to help. Lucien, who was two years ahead of Gaston, was impressed
The summer after his second year, Gaston’s mother left a pot unattended on the stove and it caught fire. Thinking quickly, Gaston grabbed the burning pot and took it outside. He saved his home from burning down, but his arm was badly burned in the process. This incident gave him an irrational fear of fire that he still has to this day and caused him to withdraw from social situations. Gaston’s newfound fear of fire had a habit of showing up at the worst time. Whenever his classes involved even the remote possibility of fire, he would panic; his Potions grade suffered the most.
Gaston did gain some popularity in his later Beaubatons years when he formed a punk rock band called WerewolfSnout with classmates Lucien Chevallier (lead vocals), Mathilde Moreau (keyboard, backing vocals), and twins Armand and Edmond Fontaine (guitars). In addition to playing the drums, he also wrote nearly all of the band’s songs. Everyone was surprised to learn that mild-mannered Gaston could write such angry songs! The band played gigs during the summer holidays to make a few galleons on the side, but as members started graduating, the band eventually broke up. In the summer of 2091,WerewolfSnout reformed, this time with the addition of Lucien and Mathilde's adopted son Jerome, and recorded their first album consisting entirely of songs written by Gaston during his first year teaching at Hogwarts.
Wizarding University & Pre-Hogwarts Employment
After graduation, Gaston took a job as a mechanic to pay his way through wizarding university, where he majored in Charms Development, and discovered a passion for classic cars. He was offered a position as a charms developer in the Accidents and Catastrophes Department of the French Ministry of Magic straight out of university, but Gaston was unhappy in his new job. The high expectations of his boss and the fast-paced work environment were so stressful that he considered quitting... until he met Edeline Duval, a Division Head in the same department. Mlle. Duval was kind and patient with Gaston at a time when no one else in the department was, and he soon fell in love with her; the two dated for over a year. Gaston even planned to marry Edeline, but three days before the proposal, she was offered a position as a department head for the Russian Ministry of Magic. Gaston told her to take the job, and the relationship ended soon after.
After Edeline's departure, Gaston realized there was nothing left for him at the Ministry, so he was happy when his former Charms teacher invited him to come back to Beaubatons as a teaching assistant. His first three terms teaching went without incident, but that changed with the arrival of new COMC professor Dawrin Walden in 2085. Gaston and Walden immediately clashed, partly due to Gaston's girlfriend dumping him for the more handsome Walden. The following term, Walden brought on a young teaching assistant named Eleanore Baudelaire. Mlle. Baudelaire befriended Gaston and the pair started dating, but the budding romance was cut short on April 15, 2087. Walden tried to teach a class with an actual dragon as a teaching aid, but the creature escaped and attacked, killing four people including Mlle. Baudelaire. Gaston was teaching a class at the time and was persuaded by Prof. Evremonde to stay with his students instead of joining the group fighting the dragon. He regrets the decision and ot his day still blames himself for Baudelaire's death.
After the attack, Gaston was given a leave of absence for the remainder of the term. He seriously considered resigning but ultimately returned for three more terms, though Beaubatons stopped feeling like home to him after the attack. When he heard Hogwarts was looking for a new Charms professor, he (at Prof. Evremonde's urging) applied and packed his bags for Scotland.
Hogwarts
Gaston's first year at Hogwarts got off to a rocky start. He missed his home and was not as well-liked by the students and staff as he'd hoped to be. He hadn't been at the school long when Miffy attacked him with flying knives in the kitchens; later in the term, Peeves caused him to fall down the moving staircase. The poltergeists' attacks made Gaston seriously consider resigning, and he probably would've had he not met the love of his life, Rosalyn Newton. After may months of keeping his feelings secret, he accidentally told her in a very awkward way. He thought he'd scared her away forever with the revelation, and it devastated him, but to his surprise Rosalyn agreed to give him a chance after the term ended.
Gaston's second year at Hogwarts started off much better than his first.
He was a little less nervous around his colleagues and students, his realtionship with Rosalyn was taking off, and his band's debut album had become a hit. An international tour was announced, and he was faced with a difficult choice: join the tour and leave his love behind or quit the band and stay at Hogwarts. He ultimately chose to stay but soon wondered if he'd made the wrong choice. The appearance of the portal and the monster it contained reminded him a little too much of the dragon attack years ago and had him worried that history would repeat itself, and the end-of-term feast made him realize that he still wasn't as well-liked as eh thought he'd be after two years at Hogwarts. It was only his engagement to Rosalyn and the unexpected offer of Gryffindor Head of House that persuaded him to stay.
That summer, Gaston returned to France to introduce his fiancee to his parents, but the meeting didn't go according to plan. His father disapproved of the engagement, and an argument ensued, resulting in Gaston cutting off all contact with his father (and by extension his mother too). The incident left him feeling confused and betrayed, and this paired with his doubt in his ability to engage the Gryffindors he was now in charge of had him returning to Hogwarts sad unsure who to trust. This mood lasted for the better part of the term, growing progressively worse with his distaste for the IMPS competition. It was only as the term drew to a close that he started to bounce back.
Gaston married Rosalyn on 11 July 2093 in Paris, France. The summer of 2093 was one of the happiest times of his life, but it. like all good things, must come to an end. Now he is prepared to return to Hogwarts for another year of teaching.

At the Hospital Wing, was visited by childhood bestie Melbourne Sorin-Ward, of which he shared his first kiss. (Term 45)
The IMPS Tournament brought his Ilvermorny cousin, Deo Astor, to Hogwarts. Also attended a gala held on a luxury yacht in celebration of the event. Had unknowingly fallen for the foot-in-mouth disease when the food was mysteriously spiked with Veritaserum. (Term 46)
First official date with the kindred spirit Olivia Holden on Valentines Day with a concert at Hogsmeade, followed by skating on the Black Lake. Shared a kiss with Vi on his 16th birthday. (Term 46)

Noelle has a pretty laid back personality. She was raised by her mother so she is a hugger. She likes to make people feel like they belong and are welcome. She is very friendly and usually is eager to give a smile but can be defensive when it comes to her friends and family. Shes a rooter for the little guy and feels the need to defend if necessary. She's adventurous and will get out of her comfort zone in order to pursue an adventure. She just wants to have fun and be happy doing it.

Noelle's family has been in the same spot for over two hundred years. The Summers were farm people. They lived and breathed for their farm and family. From the time they could walk, they were taught the ways of the land. Noelle knew how to do things most twelve years old would never know how to do. They were very family oriented. They ate together, danced together, worked together. Big music parties were held every other weekend where extended family and neighbors all got together and played instruments, danced, ate, fellowshipped and had a good time. Noelle's dad taught his family to work hard and play hard. Noelle's mother taught them to smile and love while doing it.
Noelle was brilliant with her home studies, before she went to Hogwarts. Noelle's mom knew there was a chance she could be magical, especially with some of the magic that she had already done. She didnt want to chance her going to a muggle school, so Noelle was home-schooled. Her and her brothers. Her sister was just born while Noelle was away in their first year at Hogwarts.
Currently, her parents are going through a bit of a nasty divorce. It's caused a strain on the family but they are trying to work through it. TBC

PERSONALITY: Olivia Alice Holden (Liv/Ollie/Ols, Vi) is a sweet girl who marches to the beat of her own drum. Sure, she can be a little reserved at first but then she becomes louder around her mates, especially Tenacius, Melbourne, and Noelle. She's really bad at taking compliments- horribly. She hates being complimented. She's dedicated to her work and a perfectionist. Olivia tends to overcomplicate situations in her life- both personal and academic. PRE-HOGWARTS: Olivia was born in the early morning of the 30th of August in Melbourne, Australia. She grew up with two older brothers (Marcus and Simon) who were both over-protective in their own special ways. You had Marcus, on one end of the spectrum, who was more vocal than Simon. He was kind of a bully towards Simon and Olivia when they were younger, especially when they both exhibited magical abilities. Olivia discovered a lot later learned that he had been jealous of their powers. On the other end, you had Simon who was quieter, observant, and commanded respect through his intelligence and kind nature. Olivia was smack dab in the middle between the two of them.
Olivia adores her father and Simon. Those are the two closest people to her in the whole world. Her mother…. Her mother is a different story. It’s difficult growing up without a mother. Her mother’s memory loss accident has been extremely difficult on Olivia as her mother thinks of Olivia as the “pretty little girl that’s friends with her two boys”. Because of this, Jonathan sent his daughter, at the age of nine, off to live his parents in the south of France (they had retired there and had set up a winery). On her eleventh birthday, she received a letter from Beauxbatons. Her grandparents called her father, thinking that Beauxbatons was some scam. Thankfully Simon was home and could explain to everyone what Beauxbatons was. Olivia was thrilled for the opportunity, determined to make her own mark at a Wizarding School just like Simon had.
It was great! She has absolutely no complaints except some of the people weren't exactly nice to her..... But she took every day in stride and tried to learn how to handle her feelings and not feel offended by their jests and rude comments. She ignored the bullying and it stopped bothering her. In the end, she just dreamed of going to Hogwarts because of everything wonderful she had heard about it from her brother. Finally her prayers were answered and she was off to Hogwarts. She missed her friends but she knew that she could always keep in touch with them!
HOGWARTS
FOURTH YEAR-Term 45: Olivia's fourth year at Hogwarts went by quickly. Despite having an interaction with the monster (or THING- whatever it was) in the parallel-alternate-timey-wimey version of Hogwarts with a couple of other students (which had plagued her dreams for the rest of that year), she made some great friends that year. Fourth year was rather uneventful compared to her summer and fifth year. Over the summer, her mother passed away. She thought she would have been relatively unaffected by it all... but that wasn't true at all. She spent the majority of time with family over the summer.
FIFTH YEAR- Term 46:
The year where the visitors from Illvermorny came. The year started off with a BANG and a party. People danced on the tables at the feast and it was wild. Olivia had felt completely overwhelmed and had decided to stick to the outside of the table and not get too, too involved. So much happened during this year and the summer that most of it has been condensed to the following textcut.

Melbourne Johanson came over to intervene and the unbeknownst to the three lions, they were all victims of the Veritaserum incident. Despite an awkward conversation which made Olivia blush for a good three-quarters of it, she still got to dance the night away with Noelle Summers, Etta Kramer, and others.
Finally admitted that she feels a certain way about a certain Gryffindor.
Went on a Valentine's Date with Tenacius Salander, consisted of a trip to Hogsmeade and then skating on the Black Lake. Her first kiss was with him on his sixteenth birthday.
Helped Noelle Summers by creating posters to find her runaway brother James Summers.

Melbourne was born to Magizoologist & Dragonologist Carter and his Potioneer & Magizolooigst wife Lilian Johanson, while they were working on the Welsh Dragon Reserve. The couple was not planning on having any more children after their previous daughter had been born; still they welcomed their newest child and treated her with a modicum of love and appreciation. Since Mr. & Mrs. Johanson wanted to dedicate more time to their work they enlisted the help of their children in order to raise their youngest child. This was partially done as they didn’t want any unsavory incidents to occur and raising a child on a Dragon Reserve was not an appealing idea. However, as they were unwilling to divulge more time to their youngest child as they felt their work in the field would prove more fulfilling then the act of rearing another child. When Melbourne was only a few months old she was sent to live with her brother Jamison-Philip Johanson and his wife Brigid and their children. Brigid had recently lost a child and took Melbourne in as her own, nurturing and caring for the young girl until her untimely death while working in her potions lab.
This death not only hit Melbourne hard as Brigid was like a mother to her, it hit Jamison and his daughters Jennifer (surviving youngest), Maddox, and Clarissa equally as hard. This death prompted Melbourne to be sent off to live with her brother Finnlay Johanson as he did not have any children of his own and unlike his brother could presumably dedicate more time to the wayward child. Finnlay had his hands full from day one. This was impart due to the fact that not soon after moving to Finnlay’s home near Ambleside Cumbria Melbourne met her neighbor, and future best-friend Tenacius Salander. The young girl would run away from her brothers house only to be found moments later playing with Tenacius Salander or covered in mud attempting to reach her neighbors house. Through living with her brother Melbourne met Emmaleigh Swynford, a woman with whom Melbourne looked up to and feared in a respectful way. This was due to the fact that Emmaleigh had a very maternal way of speaking with her, it was later when Emmaleigh became her best friend Tenacius’ mother that Mel’s true anxiety with the older woman began to grow. This was more due to the fact that Melbourne didn’t want to cross the Salander woman or to get reprimanded by a woman that she dearly respected. Through meeting Emmaleigh and Tenacius, Melbourne became friends with Samantha Swynford. Samantha though she lived farther away was a constant figure in her childhood due to the fact that Sam’s sister, Emmaleigh worked along side her brother Finn.
When Finnlay Johanson began a new relationship Melbourne immediately got a new babysitter through the interaction. This baby sitter was none other than roller-derby star and Slytherin Extraordinaire Rorie Hazelwood – the niece of her brothers girlfriend. Soon after this her brother Finn was hired to work with the Ambleside Cumbria Wizarding University and the time he could dedicate to his sister was limited at best. This prompted Melbourne to move in with her sister India Johanson in the city where India was building her clothing store. While India was busy she made an executive decision to put her family friend and someone her parents had considered to be family down as a joint guardian along with herself. This originally was meant to be a preemptive measure incase anything happened to any of the siblings, however, things changed. The change happened in the form of a marriage between Thunder Ward and Dustin Sorin. The couple thusly became the Sorin-Ward family, and as both men had grown to love Melbourne they petitioned the siblings for custody of the young girl as they felt she deserved a stable home. This all took place while Melbourne was beginning her first years of Hogwarts and the custody agreements were finalized by the end of her second year.
It was in Hogwarts where Melbourne became good friends with witches and wizards of all walks of life. The newly sorted Gryffindor even met her best friend nearly instantly in her first year at the school, which proved interesting as the girl became to be known as family. This new feeling of family shared with Hadley Denaker wasn’t short lived as it so happened that Melbourne and Hadley’s single grandparents met while they were attending school and developed a relationship. The couple even planned to marry in the summer of 2092.

Dora had a great life! A mum and dad who loved her to pieces, a twin brother she did EVERYTHING with! She even had a PRINCESS room complete with carriage style bed and EVERYTHING! But then it happened... Her Mum got sick. It came on unexpectedly and it hit hard and mercilessly. While Dora was too young at the time to fully understand, she did know something was wrong. Really, really wrong. Especially when they all packed up and went to Bali to stay a while. Dora loved to play in the water and watch the mermaids... but then again, she knew something was wrong. Her mummy never cried in front of her once, but she knew when she had been. Not to mention all of that, but all of her Aunties and Uncles came round to visit... All the way in Indonesia. Uncle Jimmy even brought her coloring books and stickers to keep her busy.
She knew what was going to happen before she could understand it really.
And then it happened as swiftly as it had all started. Dora watched it happen. Saw it all. And that was when she realized she could see the thestrals. They were prettier than anyone had ever told her. Beautiful in an ugly way. But, then it all changed again. No one was happy anymore. Nobody laughed for awhile, it seemed like... and everyone got real sad. Especially her daddy! The move back to the UK was quick and painless as it could be.
The transition was easier for the kids than it was for Nicolas, for obvious reasons, but as Dora grew older she had a hole in her heart that she never wanted to mention another soul. No one aside from Casper Greenwood anyway. He was her secret keeper. The one person that knew all of her secrets, the one that knew why she cried so often when no one else was around. Growing up was painful... but Casper made it easier. Casper always made things make sense
Hogwarts time...
Dora hated her first few years at Hogwarts. LOATHED. It wasn't home! Her dad wasn't there. Even her brother wasn't there, having opted for Durmstrang instead. Dora had had the same options, Beaux Durm or Hoggies, but she had wanted to feel closer to her mum so she made the decision, whether it hurt her to be away from Al or not. Of course she had Casper as always... and Char and some others. But it just wasn't home.
After toying with the idea of leaving for some time, she began to meet new people and learn new things. THings that made her realize she was in just the place she needed to be. Most of the time anyway.
As her school career stretched on she had her fair share of drama and nonsense, of course. As is the Gryffindor way. Her heart broke every time she lost a friend, but she grew stronger when she realized that not all of them were ever worth her time. She began to be a bit more closed off, only sharing her real thoughts and feelings with a select few. Dora learnt that one didn't have to surround oneself with a mass of people to live a happy life.
Sixth year would prove to be the most trying time of her life to date. She thought there would be glory in being chosen to compete in the International Magical Pupil Standoff... turns out there was only rage and ultimate embarrassment for her. The whole thing left a bad taste in the girls mouth from the start, but it only grew worse as the challenges moved on. Fighting a dementor and performing memory charms, being given a potion and having to solve a riddle after fighting the whomping willow,
To her final challenge: Having to rescue her best friend from a CAGE in a FROZEN TUNDRA. It infuriated the girl to no end, really. Unfortunately (or that was a matter of opinion) Dora was eliminated in the next to last challenge. She still beats herself up about that loss...
Seventh Year:
And she thought that sixth year would be the hardest time of her life...
The summer before final year Dora had a huge falling out with her twin brother, which rocked her to the core. There was lots of drama and running away on her part, but it culminated in her breaking down once back at school. Her ever NOT PRESENT boyfriend, Casper, wasn't even a calming source for her. Finding an unlikely friendship with Flynn Kowalski, though,
WAS the calming source she needed.

Being the youngest of the youngest (yes, Teddy was just five minutes older than her) doesn't really make Ava is a spoiled brat. Instead, she grew up being independent and loves working hard for everything. She always tries her best to fight for something she wants/deserves such as her dream to be an auror and her relationship.
She is loyal to her people and when it comes to meet someone new, Ava will always being sincerely nice unless that person messes with her or her people and when she hates a person, Ava could be a very mean banshee. Sometimes she can be a little bit prankster and teases her friends, boyfriend or even her siblings but it's just because she loves them.
Academia-wise... Ava is quite above average student, proven by her OWLs results. She prefers the lessons which involve more activity rather than just theoretical ones because she's a kinesthetic learner. Mostly she would end up takng a nap at some boring lessons.

Lisabel and Alexander were a very happy loving parents with two children. But then, one day Lisabel found out that she was pregnant again. She gave birth to the twins on summer, just a day before her eldest daughter’s birthday. They named them Ava and Theodore. Their childhood was… odd. They didn’t really have close relationship to the older siblings because of the age distance were too far and they left home because of personal issues that they were too young to know.
She went to muggle elementary school where Lisabel worked there as the teacher. Ava was known for being a mischievous girl who often caused trouble. But the students known her as fearless girl who often stood up against the bullies. Though Teddy and her had different personality, but they always be there for each other. Teddy often helped her with the homework and Ava often stood up against the mean kids who bother him. At home she and Teddy also got tutor about wizarding world from their father.
She didn't know much about her older siblings until a few years ago, Dima came with his wife and little son. Then he brought her to meet their older sister. Ava still wondered why her sister didn't want to come home but... She's glad when she discovered about Zhenya, the older sister.

Ronan is typically very polite and gentleman-like, but does definitely have a mischievous streak. He is very protective of those he cares about and can become quite fierce in defense of them. He also tends to be less than fond of those who act without thought, due to an incident in his first year.

Ronan Victor Carter was born on a snowy December morning to single mother Roxanne Carter in London, England. He was very much loved, not only by his mum, but his aunt, uncle and cousin as well. So much so, that he has never really felt the sting of his father's absence (who abandoned the mum to be the moment he found out she was pregnant), much to his mother's relief.
When Ronan was three, the family packed up and moved to Paris thanks to his mother changing jobs. He loved the new setting, finding the view from their new apartment fascinating. In fact, the first few weeks, Roxanne could hardly pull him away from the window!
Life was pretty normal for the young wizard, going to school with the Muggle children, playing around with said children after school, all the normal kid things. Still, he was ecstatic to receive his Hogwarts letter, having heard about the place all his life from his mum, uncle and eldest cousin. So it was with excitement that he boarded the train the first time, headed to the legendary castle.

Personality:
Emma is all bright eyes, exorbitant energy, and positive spirits. Much like her mother, making new friends comes easily to her, and she is never short of a smile for anyone. Emma loves loves LOVES people almost as much as she loves animals, which means a lot because she is fully prepared to die for any and every animal. Her best friends are her closest in age brother Lucas, and Alanna Botros. Much like both of her parents, she loves both her friends and family unconditionally, and is willing to do anything for them.
Notorious for finding creatures, and keeping them as pets (or giving them away to friends), this can at times get her into trouble with her mother. Absolutely irresponsible, she can be talked into just about anything as she doesn't have the patience to think about the consequences after and blindly trusts anyone who is nice to her (even though she's gotten numerous warning from both parents about this). Emma's rhetoric is usually that she's a EXCELLENT fighter (she's not) and can protect herself from anyone who dares to cause her harm.
While she didn't inherent much of her mother's diligence, Emma is very talented at the things she enjoys. She loves most all outdoor activities and ballet, or any dancing at all. Recently she's gotten into child modeling with her best mate Alanna.
At times Emma can be overly excited, which sometimes causes her to speak rapidly and loudly. She believes in living life to the fullest because it's SO amazing and living it any other way is doing a disservice to yourself.

History:
Born two weeks early in Naples while her mother was visiting friends, Emma is both the eldest child and only daughter to Arya and Sabel Dakest. Unlike her parents, she herself never lived in Italy, but they do have a small home there that the family frequented when she was young, and so she likes to make up extravagant stories about time spent there. When she was just two years old, her parents welcomed their first son and second child into the family, Lucas Sebastian. While her childhood is filled with memories of time spent with her little brother, neighbors, and other members of her family, it is also distinctly void of memories with her father. Sabel Dakest was just beginning his career as an auror when his children were born, and as result spent little time with them in their early years. This resulted in extreme negative effects in both the eldest Dakest children, specifically causing Emma to become overly clingy when he was home. She would do whatever she could to keep him home, and later would often have nightmares of him leaving and never returning.
When she was six years old - around the time she began to exhibit magical abilities - she began attending St. Woboldo's Primary School in London. She also began ballet lessons as she seemed to have a liking for the arts. When Emma wasn't in school or in ballet class, she enjoyed 'helping' her mother with her younger brothers when she could remember to. Otherwise she was off on some grand adventure, usually with whoever she came across first. In the summer of '93 she was old enough to finally receive her wand, and prepare herself for following her parents footsteps in attending Hogwarts.
