Spirit Room

[Zoe]

The door to a mysterious door opens to reveal a dank and dusty room, which shows more than obvious signs that it has been vacant for years. Black sheets cover the furniture. Cobwebs fill every nook, cranny, and everything in between -- including a cup filled with wooden potion stirrers. The heavy scent of mildew permeates every aspect of the room as jet-black candles emit blue flames and an old record player screeches in the corner.

For the most part, this is where the majority of the ghosts that haunt the school gather when they want to avoid the living that run about the floors above. What they do here isn't really any of your business. Some of the ghosts that float about this room will remind you of that if they catch you invading their private space. If you're lucky, though, maybe the day you step inside this room is when Sir Nicholas is hosting his Deathday Party, a celebration that he most certainly will encourage you to stick around for. If that day is not today, you had better have a good excuse for being here.

Somehow our two Grryffindors found themselves in the dungeons once more. The adventure seekers were off again, exploring once more, as Gryffindors did best. This time Vi had been leading her and Ace through the dungeons. She know knew where the secret passageway was and where the Slug Pit were. And the two had stumbled upon the underground chambers which were filled with so much history. Olivia had almost been certain that they had explored the whole of the castle's dungeons but then she found herself in a new part of the dungeons that she had never seen before. What's this? she thought and naturally she had to explore.

So she led the boyfriend and her down this path. Eventually they reached a door at the end of the way that Vi had never seen before. She didn't often come down to the dungeons so it was definitely new to her. When they reached the door, she turned around to face Ace with her back to the door. A wicked, teasing smirk graced her lips as she looked up to him. "What's behind door number one? A secret passageway or..... something else?" asked she as she turned the knob of the door, opening the room behind her, yet keeping her gaze on Mr. Salander here.

If Ace has been here before, he has pretty much forgotten he has. Thats how it is with the poorly lit underbellies of Hogwarts-- one corridor looks just like the other and most doors are shrouded in mystery, even the Potions classroom when its doors are shut.

Also it doesnt help that he is ultimately distracted by the prettiest lady of Hogwarts, exploring shadows and secrets and passing whispers. Today they find themselves in front of this door, and naturally his first instinct was to see if it was unlocked....

-- and apparently his lady love thought of the same thing, as the door behind her started to creak open "I'll take troll in the dungeons for 200 Vi..." he joked, continuing their game show parody from the earlier times they were happily lost down here. It was then that he heard what sounded like "--Is that... music? Or someone wailing?" it was hard to tell, but there was definitely a sound wafting out of the room now.

Vi glanced up, smirking at his comment about taking troll in the dungeons for 200. Hah. She was having fun and she almost ignored the weird sound coming from behind them... Was that coming from behind that door? Vi couldn't tell but when Ace brought it up, she stopped in her tracks for but a moment before turning around to face the door in front of them. Now that he mentioned it, she did hear some type of music....

She paused, staying silent, as she tried to listen to the music or noise that there was there. Nope. She couldn't hear anything. She shook her head. "No... I don't... I can't hear it now. I heard something earlier." Vi felt her hands begin to shake slightly.... Not like she was afraid.... Okay. Maybe she was a little afraid of whatever noise Ace was hearing.... But she was also a little excited by what could be behind the door. "Alright......... 200 points for troll in the dungeon for the handsome contester," she said, trying to put on a brave face for whatever waited for them in the next room. "Shall we?" Then without another thought, she pushed the door open more and took a step into the room.

Inside the room, she suddenly felt really cold. In the words of a one Solo, Olivia thought I have a bad feeling about this....

She doesnt hear the music?

Tenacius isnt one to frighten easily, although if he could hear something and his girlfriend couldnt and he knew he wasnt imagining things-- then thats a cause for alarm. That had shown on his face when his beauteous brunette turned around and opened the door.

Then he felt something behind him. The sort that got the hairs at the back of his neck rising. Frowning he turned sharply to look behind him-- and didnt see a thing.

Okaaayy....

By the time that he faced forward again Olivia was already in the room. He caught up with her quickly, and the music that he thought he could hear has now stopped completely. He was about to comment on that but as he took a breath he started a coughing fit-- air was stale and dusty!

Vi Holden hugged her arms towards her and she suddenly felt very, very cold. What IS this place? thought Olivia as she took a step forward before she heard Tenacius begin coughing. "Ace!" she called out, taking a few steps back towards him. Was he okay? "Are you okay?" A hand touched his back and she paused for a moment as she struggled to take a deep breath. The air was dry.... Very, very dry? And saturated with a lot of dust. Maybe a cleaning spell would work. But seeing her boyfriend cough made her wonder if water would help.

Without another thought, she summoned a water bottle with a quick flick of her wand and then she turned to face the room. Her fingertips felt as cold as ice even though the room wasn't particularly cold.

Yeah, they shouldn't be in here.

In addition to the cold growing throughout her body, Vi paused. The room was as silent as the grave.... Almost too quiet for her liking. She folded her arms. "Maybe... maybe we should go back?"
