SSRP: Birthday party for Katerina and Brady

Around the first of August, Katerina Delgado and Brandson Somehalder are hosting their joint 15th birthday party. The Delgado’s backyard has been transformed into a every teenage wizards, birthday party dreams, not only is the Delgado’s pool open, but there’s a stage set up for live music (if anyone is up for playing), a dance floor music playing when nothing live is going on, a petting zoo with lot of animals, food of course, carnival games are sit up around the yard, if you stay around until the night there’s a outdoor movie theater showing the birthday girl and boy’s favorite movies. So grab your lawn chair and swimsuts and come on in...

It was that time of year again, no it wasn't Christmas, it was his and Kat's birthdays. Bradson Somerhalder had already been here. He pretty much lived here actually. He loved visiting his second mother and his best friend of course. Oh, we couldn't forget Phillip. He was very forgetful sometimes.

Brady looked around at everything that was going on. No one was here yet so it wasn't a bad thing right now. "Kat, when are your friends showing up?" The Scottish teenager only asked this because he knew that his best friend had more friends that him and they one friend he invited he knew she wasn't going to show up because she hated Kat but then again were him and Azura even friends? They were hanging out but was it enough to put her hatred or whatever that was aside and come to his birthday party too? He had a feeling that the answer was a big fat no.

It had been such a busy summer, but Henry wasn't complaining. It was a fun kind of busy and if he had to find a reason to complain, it would be that it was going too fast. But he wasn't going to think about that right now. He just wanted to enjoy the rest of summer as much as he could.

Henry was always happy to go to a party, especially one being thrown by his friends. So of course he was going to Kat and Brady's birthday party. Once he arrived at Kat's house, he headed towards the backyard with one gift for each of them tucked in his arms.

His eyes took in the party area and all the fun things to do before he spotted Kat and Brady. Oh was he the first one here?
That was okay. "Hey, guys!" he grinned. "Happy birthday!" He would have waved too, but he had his hands full. "This looks awesome! So, uh.. where do I put these?" Or did they want to open them now?

Harriet loved a good party. She loved getting dressed up, and having a good time. After the last term that they had had, it was going to be good for them all to have a nice time. It was also her best friends birthday, so she knew that it was going to be a great event. The blonde smiled as she waved bye to her mother. She could wait to see everyone and for them to have a good time. Harriet then headed towards the back yard. It was going to be great. She smiled as she saw Kat, Brady, and Henry, and she headed over to them.


"Hey guys!" The hufflepuff beamed as she got closer to the three of them. "Happy birthday!" She directed at the birthday boy and girl, before offering out their presents.

James of course, came for Kat and Brady's birthday party. It was the first time he walked into a party with presents. He even dressed up handsomely in his nice summer outfit too. Maybe they weren't expecting him to come but...no way was he missing out on pool parties. Brady might regard him as the enemy and what not...but James had other things to think about in his mind. Like free party food, for instance. His mission - to eat as many as he can so he wouldn't have to worry about his own food expenditure for the day.

"Hello guys, glad to see to me? Oh yeah, happy bithday." He gave them their presents. Not sure how they going to react to him being here but he knew that he wouldn't stay long, just enough to have a good time and a full belly.

The birthday girl was already in her birthday outfit, her bathingsuit under a white sun dress. She was enjoying the summer, something you could tell from her slightly darker skin tone and beachy yellow curls. Checking with her mother to make sure everything was prefect and ready for the party, Katerina took another bowl of dip out to the one of the food tables. With everything setup now, she left the bowl on the table and when to go find Brady.

The now fifteen year old, wrinkled her nose up at Brady's comment. "Your friends are coming too." She rolled her eyes, they pretty much had a lot of the same friends. And Yes she invited his friends. "When I bought out the bowl of dip out to the table, it was almost time then." She smiled at her best friend. It was hard to believe that they were already fifteen.

It wasn't long after that, there first guest had arrived. She waved once she seen it was Henry. "Hey, Henry. Thank you for coming." She smiled, and nudged Brady. See he had friends too. They just had a lot of the same friends. "Oh, the table over there." Pointing the boy in the direction of the gift table. She would have started opening them now but there was no way that her mother would let her. She would have a cow if she did.

The thought of presents were soon pushed out of her head when she seen her other best friend, you could never have too many best friends, right? She hoped that her other best friend would soon be here too. "Hattie! You're here! Thank you." She hugged her and let out a squeal of happiness that was cut short by the arrival of the next guest. Did she invite him? It must have been a mistake? She frowned. "You came? Gifts go on the table over there." She directed at both of them. She glanced at Brady with a small frown. She really hoped that some other people would show up, to distract her from someones presence now.

This was probably going to be one of the most awkward parties she had been too.. But she was here for her friend and that was all that mattered. Katerina had been nice enough to invite her and so she was going to be nice enough to show up.

Azura walked into the party, presents in hand.. One for each other the birthday people! Because she knew better than to show up to a party empty handed! She smiled a little and looked around, wow! This was super nice! So this was what it was like to have a birthday in the summer? Pool parties and dance floors? Her birthday was snack dab in the middle of winter and so close to Christmas parties were almost impossible to have.

She bit her lip as she set her presents on the table and smiled a bit as she looked around.. She knew most everyone here..

Now to find Brady!

Bradson looked over at his best friend when she said his friends were coming too. He was still trying to figure out if he still had friends after being grounded for a month after they had left school. "Do I even still have friends of my own after Miranda pretty much taking me away from them?" he shouldn't have mentioned Miranda but he felt like he had to because he was still sure that he had lost friends the couple of months before he had broken up with Miranda.

People were arriving already, the fifteen year old looked around and saw Henry.
Bradson smiled and nodded at him. "Hey." the Scottish boy greeted him.
He hadn't really talked to him that much last term and that was a bummer but maybe that would change next term. The Hufflepuff saw yet another Hufflepuff arrive, Hattie. "Hi Hattie!" Brady smiled at her.

What the hell was he doing here? "What are you doing here?" Bradson asked James with a slight protective tone in his voice. Why was he here? Brady looked over at Kat. He nudged her a little bit. "Are you okay?" or was she going to be okay? He could punch James again if that made her feel better. He knew it would make him feel better.
He was waiting for the idiot to leave but he had a feeling that wouldn't happen anytime soon. The fifteen year old looked around and spotted Azura setting a gift on the table. "Azura!" he called out to her and waved.

James was a little dissapointed that Kat didn't think of inviting him. He didn't let it show on his face though, he just smiled a little back at her. "I wouldn't miss any party in the world, especially yours, wouldn't I?" he answered her, his tone monotonous. James did contemplate of coming to their party but he wasn't one to sit back and not present himself proudly. He might as well make the best of his time spent here.

His eyes boringly looked back at Brady's hostile-bratty face, "The same as everybody else in here, its a party isn't it?" Parties brought anyone together, no matter if you are popular, dumb, nerds, or just a nobody. Not to forget, even exes come to have fun too. Who cares if he wasn't invited? James didn't care if people talk around him, he was just as happy to be himself and that was what he was going to do today. Maybe he should bring Miranda along, bet the boy would love that. "Okay, save a dance for me alright, birthday girl?" James winked before moving himself to the food table.

Oh! Hey there he was! Azura breathed a sigh of relief and moved over to her friend, she gave him a tight hug before pulling back and grinning.. "Happy Birthday!" She said with a warm smile as she looked around..

"This place looks amazing! Is this what it's like to have a birthday in the summer?"She said with a soft chuckle as she looked at who all was there.

She sent a hesitant wave at Kat as she saw her too.. She was glad the other girl had invited her.. Hopefully, they might be able to become friends? Or at least.. smile at each other in the hall?

Anyways.. no drama today! She was all smiles and she hoped they were too.

Cornelius Orion Baltazar enjoyed the social life; he thrived in it. Parties were his specialty.

That, for the moment, has changed. His entire life was put on hold, and even the prospect of life itself had shifted in those emerald green eyes of his. Life may have changed, his brother might still be in the hospital, not a blink of an eye, but there was nothing the curly-haired teenager could do.

It was when he stopped in front of a calendar at the St. Mungos that his eyes focused on what day it was. The date struck his mind immediately. He was grounded back to earth as if he'd spent the last week in Saturn.

Katerina's birthday.

To his mother's delight, the boy left the hospital for the first time since Johnathan had been admitted, and he went in search for gifts. Because Katerina loves gifts, and Cornelius likes spoiling his people.

It took a while, but a few thing stood out. Chocolate thins with berries, and a book on baking. The blonde girl did have a knack for that. A book on unicorns, along with a plush toy of said creature; its horn sparkly. And last of all, a shirt that says: I'm Not Short, I'm Just Concentrated AWESOME -- because he always teased her about her height. It made him snort, so it was going with the rest of the gifts.

Once it was all wrapped, and with his father's assistance, the boy sent his dark brown eagle owl to Katerina's, and made sure to tell the owl to not stop to check out other owl ladies. He could do that on his way back.

You're getting old, dude. Maybe you should tone it down a bit? Haha.

Happy birthday! I once heard a birthday is supposed to be the luckiest day in a person's year, so make sure to make tons of wishes and eat lots of cake.

It hardly bothered Hunter one bit that she didn’t particularly know one of the people who the party was about. She knew Kat, and she assumed that through knowing her she’d know others who were invited to attend. Granted, it would’ve been more fun had certain people agreed to come with her, but she also understood the possibility of awkward. She just didn’t particularly bother with worrying about the concept. A party was a party after all, and it had given her a reason to leave the house without having to sneak out.

Okay, maybe the gift thing had been kind of difficult, but she had two brothers. It wasn’t hard to figure something out. Two small packages came out of the pockets of her trusty jacket and got placed on the table with the others, before the small blonde had started looking around. Hm, music. She should’ve brought her guitar, but oh well. She knew there’d be distractions. Like people, as she waved at Kat. As expected, there were definitely people she knew. The others, she figured she could meet now.

Was he late? He didn't mean to be late, but he had just lost track of time at home. Making his way to the party he hoped he wouldn't walk into the middle of a game, movie, or anything else that would draw attention to him. He liked being social but if he could just mesh in as he got there instead of everyone looking up as he came in would be great.


Making sure he had his gifts, that his mom picked out, he made his way into the party. "Hi everyone" giving a small wave he went to find the place where the presents were. Maybe he should have had Cassie come with him? They had spent many days together though so he figured going to the party alone wasn't a bad thing either.

"Sure, I wouldn't miss it." Henry grinned at Kat then glanced to where she was pointing. "This looks like it'll be a lot of fun." There were a bunch of cool things to do, and he hoped that Char would be along soon as well. But he noticed several other of his friends arriving, and he gave out some waves and smiles as they came into the party area.

Hattie, Azura, and Benton he knew of course, but he didn't know Hunter or James all that well, even if he knew who they were. They all got waves, smiles, and hello's, though he was slightly surprised that Kat's ex was here. From what he knew, it didn't end well, but maybe that was in the past. Hopefully no drama today, not on somebody's birthday, and that they were all here to have some fun.

"So, what are we going to do first?" He looked towards Brady with a grin, figuring one of the birthday people might as well get things started. There were enough fun things to do here and he was ready to have a good time. But maybe he should get some food before anything else.
