| | Gryffindor House Table banner by Schuyler Emmons (Cedric)The Lions sit under a brand new scarlet and gold banner representing their house. Their solid, shiny wooden table is nicely polished with all the place settings perfectly set. It was once said that the Hogwarts House Elves are the best in the world. It is up to your stomach to agree... but surely it will! Why wouldn't it like elf cooking?
If you're thirsty, there is also fresh pumpkin juice and water on the table, regardless of whether or not it is actually mealtime. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: The Narrator | follow me; everything is all right.
You're in the middle of eating your lunch when... SPLATT!!
a large glob of green slime lands in the middle of your plate. It's not the only one either; now it's raining all over the Great Hall, covering all the tables and students alike.
Where is it coming from?

Where is it coming from? Everyone who knew Genny knew her first priority was food and being fed. No matter what, she'd always choose food first and food would boost her mood in a beat. So, the green slime thing landing on her plate RIGHT when her spoon was scooping some delicious stew, was not impressive. In fact, it was dreadful. "Huh--Ekh, no!" Three emotions passing over her face very quickly and expressively. "WHO DID THIS?" She looked both mad and personally hurt. |

Matt jumped on his seat when the slime plopped onto his plate. Whoa, what the HECK was THAT??? The boy looked up to see if there was anything suspicious up there, but as soon as he was facing up, another PLOP came right ON his FACE. "YUCK!" He spat it out and shook his head to get it off. It was sticky and gross. It was actually kinda cool. He scooped up some of the slime from his plate and held it closer to his now green face.
He took at good SNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFF to see if he could tell what it was but... nope. He had no idea. It was COOL though, so he tossed it up and caught it again with his hand.
Eeeewwwwwwwwwww, hahahahahaha!! The only reason the boy probably didn't look as if he had been the one throwing the green stuff around was that his own face was covered in slime. BUT one could never know...

BUT one could never know... Genny's head swiveled sideways to see a boy, Matt, COVERED in the green slime and held some in his hand. !!!!!!! Probably looking for another victim for his lame stupid trick?? HELL NO. Genny jumped up on the bench, grabbed her wand and pointed it at Matt immediately, ears roaring with how mad she was. "YOU." She squinted at him, obviously not messing around. "Stop what you're doing immediately!" Her feet were walking expertly on the narrow bench which made her easily spotted but also hovering over everybody else.
"Is this your idea of a fun game? Don't you know people come here because THEY'RE HUNGRY?" SO basically he was being anti-humane right now, depriving people's stomachs from deliciousness. "ANSWER ME." Because despite what professors would say, she was responsibly for punishing bad people doing bad things to good people. |

| EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT! The Daily Prophet is fresh off the presses! An owl swoops in and deposits a rather large stack of Daily Prophets right smack in the middle of Gryffindor Table. The headline, visible under the twine, reads Scabior Elected Minister.
Better untie the twine and get your copy now before everyone else does. See what else is there beyond the front page.

Munch munch munch.... Scabior Elected Minister....
*blink* "HEY YOU GUYS!! KYROH IS THE NEW MINISTER WHUUUTT?!!"
Yeah forget the logic that a barely-out-of-his-teens young man becomes Minister for Magic. To Hogwarts kids where weird things happening is the norm, Kyroh being Minister is totally normal and completely plausible. |

"ANSWER ME." Because despite what professors would say, she was responsibly for punishing bad people doing bad things to good people. Matt was still playing with the slime, not bothering to clean his face up or anything, when he was STARTLED by someone SCREECHING 'YOU'. "ME??" He replied equally loud, turning his head dramatically towards where the voice had come from as Genny told him to stop what he was doing immediately.
Uuuhhhhh, how about nooooooooooo???
Muehehehehehe.
The third year made a show of continuing to PLAY WITH THE SLIME simply because the girl had told him to stop. Oooooohhh, and she was pointing his wand at him. HAHAHEHEHE, this would be fuuunnnn!!! 'Is this your idea of a fun game? Don't you know people come here because THEY'RE HUNGRY?' The fact she was SO clearly ANGRY made Matt laugh. He didn't even bother trying to hide the fact he was super amused. And when she demanded him to 'ANSWER HER', he grinned. "YES!" He shouted back as he stood up and THREW the rest of the slime from his hand at Genny.
L.O.L.

It greatly baffled Dora that people her own age could be so blasted immature and ridiculous. Really. She wasn't in the mood for the nonsense today. Moody Dora was coming through, you know. Hehe.
But all was well, really. She was just not super keen on being around idiots at the moment. So she settled into her table and kept her head low. Surely no one would bother the girl in all black, yeah? Now... she just wanted some cocoa and maybe some nutella and fruit. Yassss! Come through, house elves?! They were her favorites, they were.

Surely no one would bother the girl in all black, yeah? Now... she just wanted some cocoa and maybe some nutella and fruit. Yassss! Come through, house elves?! They were her favorites, they were. Henry was hungry. And it wasn't all that unusual for the still-growing teenage boy to have an appetite, but he was also in the mood for conversation. Anyone knowing Henry would also know that wasn't really out of the ordinary for the friendly boy either. It was just too bad that there weren't many people at his own table to talk to. Maybe a change of scenery was in order. He did have plenty of friends in other houses, and was always eager to make more. Certainly no one would mind if he stopped by to say hello.
The Gryffindor table was the next obvious choice for the fifteen year old, being that it was the next table over from the Hufflepuff one, and some of his favorite people occupied that house. Glancing down the length of the table, he spotted a blonde head with her face nearly hidden, and he looked upon her curiously as he approached. Oh! He soon recognized her as Dora as he got a little closer.
Though Henry did not know Dora that well, he was fairly well acquainted with her from Sam and Charlotte, and maybe a few other Gryffindor girls, not to mention in class. So friends by association was a thing for him and he thought nothing of sliding into the seat across from her. "Hey there, Dora!" he said, tilting his head a bit to try to catch her downcast eyes and shooting her a grin. "How's it going today?" Also, when might the elves be bringing food, because he was hungry.

Company.
She held the small sigh in as she heard her name, but soon let it out as she looked up. Not because it was Henry, not at all. He was a perfectly nice boy, but she was a bit disappointed that if she had to be bothered that it wasn't a pretty, perfectly nice girl. Heh. Dora did, however, offer him a perfectly sweet smile.
" Hey, Henry, " she replied, as chipper as she could manage. What? Sometimes she was moody. It happened. " It's going... well, " Dora offered before drumming her fingers on the table slightly. " How are you, though? " Probably just left off from snogging one of her friends, but that was none of her business.

If Henry was a more observant boy, he might have been able to tell that Dora had preferred to eat sans company today. But as it was, the smile on her face told him a different story and he took that as invitation to stay, even if he did think something might be slightly off by the tone in her voice. He didn't really think that was related to him though. "Everything okay?" The fifteen year old offered her a smile in return as he tilted his head curiously at her. He was a good listener if she wanted to talk.
He grabbed one of the muffins that appeared on the table and started pulling at the liner paper. "Oh, I'm great," he said, looking up from his muffin with a grin. "Can't complain, really. Was just a little bored so I thought I'd come over to say hi." And one of his favorite things was hanging out with a friend or two. "Also procrastinating History of Magic homework," he added with a shrug as he took a bite of the muffin. But that was nothing new, even if the essay was looming over him and he knew he had to tackle that today.

Dora was only trying to convince herself she didn't want company. She loved people, really. Sometimes she just needed a little nudge and this Hufflepuff refusing to be deterred was the nudge. Hehe. Cute little Hufflepuff being all friendly and stuff. Picking up a strawberry she began to nibble on it absently. "Everything is fine. I'M fine. It'll be fine. " She was trying to figure out herself at the moment so she really had no clue how long it would be before everything was F I N E, but she was making it.
Cue the smile! "I'm glad you did. Want a strawberry? " She typically didn't like to share, but at the moment she was feeling gracious. even if deep down she hoped he said no... they were HER strawberries after all.
"I'm not particularly keen on History of Magic anymore. Seems a bit... boring. I prefer Defense. Well I prefer it when Hirsch is teaching it anyway, " she saiD quietly. NO need for anyone to know she had secretly begun to like the lessons. THEY were useful at least. "How was your Christmas? "

" Henry watched Dora carefully as he picked apart his muffin and popped pieces of it in his mouth. He wasn't sure he quite believed that everything was fine, but he also did not want to pry or push her to talk. For all he knew, it could be something personal and if she had wanted to say something about it, she probably would have. "Okay.. if you're sure," he nodded, giving her a small smile. He'd still be sitting there if she changed her mind and did want to talk about whatever might be going on.
Henry smiled a little bigger as she did and he shook his head at her offer. "No, thanks. I'm good with my muffin." He popped another piece of it in his mouth. He did like his share of fruits and vegetables, but he really was good with the muffin for now. It was pretty tasty. "Yeah..." Henry nodded along with that sentiment. "History of Magic is not my favorite, I think it's pretty boring too." Hence the procrastination. But it was too bad that it was required. "I like the more hands on subjects, like Charms or Care of Magical Creatures." Defense was good too, but he wasn't terribly good at dueling even if he did think it pretty fun. "Oh, my Christmas was great," he grinned. "Thanks for asking. Just mostly spending time with family, but I always like to see my nieces." Even if they didn't go anywhere or weren't too busy, he enjoyed just having the break. "How was yours?"

If Dora wanted to talk about it, she would definitely let him know, but as it stood... she didn't. Mainly because she didn't know whether or not she could trust him. Not far fetched. " I am. Thanks for asking, though. That's real nice of you," she said with a genuine smile. He seemed like a nice enough boy.
Thank Merlin. Dora shoved the rest of the strawberry in her mouth and sighed contentedly. No need to share! That was always a good thing.
But now? This conversation? It was boring her to DEATH. " Christmas was great. I got to see my best friends and spend time with them. Presents. Family. Want to go do something fun? I don't know how much more polite conversation I can handle... Unless you have some gossip you would like to share." Because THAT would be interesting. Indeed, it would. And potentially lucrative to Dora. Win, win!
