Charms Lesson Two

As you come into the classroom the first thing you might notice is that there is no desks, no normal classroom thing, and of course no easel. What you do see are many square empty things all around the room. If that wasn't interesting enough the Professors new look with his charmed hair, beard, and new fashion statement just might. Clearly someone isn't taking being fifty one very well at all.

There is a note on the board that says to find a corner on one of the pits and have a seat until class starts. There should be four to a pit. Class will be starting shortly.

Here early, after the debacle that had been his day so far... Rooney Bronwyn gave a whole ten seconds of staring at his Charms Professor before smiling awkwardly. Smiling, to mask the laugh that he so badly wanted to be a part of. What on earth was happening here?! "Been shopping, Sir?" He was trying to be a decent student to Professor Primeaux right now, because he had been awful during the Charms Challenge and knew just that. But he still thought he was in the right. Had to be in the right. Always in the right.

He should have been allowed to finish.

But he took a seat on the back right corner of a pit and awaited company.

The room looked horrible as horrible as her professor did. The classroom was empty, uncharacteristically quiet and Chloe was sans mascara. The real tragedy of the morning was that she had forgotten to put mascara on not that the professor was fifty. After all, once someone was over forty-five their life was practically over. Or at least that was how it seemed to a nearly fourteen year old.

She didn't say hello or even nod in acknowledgment. She went straight to a seat near one of the pits.

Another many-people-gathering. . .

Mason was once again intrigued enough to follow the mass of unimportant people towards where they were going, in hopes of them knowing where the stone was. . .

find, find, find. . .

The room that they led her to this time was a lot less desky and classy. . . and scattered all across the room were various boxes. . . was stone in one of boxes? Did unimportant voices hide stone in boxes. . . ?

There was only one way to find out. . . Mason need look through all boxes. . .

. . .

Shuffling towards one of the boxes, Mason immediately lowered to the ground and crawled hastily into said box. . . only to find it . . . empty. . .

With a mix of confusion and a little bit of anger, Mason crawled to one of the corners of the box. This part was empty too! Mason gazed over the pit in confusion. . . were they going to fill box with stone. . . ? Did they already take stone away. . . Or they hide stone from Mason somewhere else. . .

. . .

Mason need find. . . find, find, find, find. . .

A room full of ball pits is definitely something that will catch the attention of this Curly Top, and his approval of their presence is evident on the megwatt smile beaming even brighter on his face. He peeked into one and-- wait where them balls?

"Hey Prof where them-- eyyy! Lookin good Professah P!" Tenacius grinned and flashed a thumbs up at the Charms Master's new style. He already said as much to him in passing, but this is the first time that he can take stock of the full makeover. Did his humor get an upgrade too? Guess they'll find out today innit?

And yeah he saw the note on the board. Still wondering when or if theyre gonna have any of those balls, the Gryffindor Ace climbed into an empty ball pit and flopped into it like a big, deep couch. Or a bed. Or.... zzzzzzz

Must know where eggs are! Azura find eggs! The teen stiffly lumbered after them and soon found herself in a room with other people..

"Eggs?" She asked to the room in general. She awkwardly shuffled over to the pit and looked down in it..

"Eggs? Azura need eggs!" Pretty flowers easy! Eggs hard.

Must please pretty Melody.. Pretty Pretty..

Find.. Find Eggssss!

More people... Esme could find book. Maybe people had book. Needed to see if they had it. Following them inside moving unsteadily. Many boxes in this place. Book might be in box...

Climbing inside, Esme looks around. No book. She need to look in other boxes until she sees it. Must not give up until she find book.

Kitty crawled into the room after the others, turning her face to the left and then to the right as she looked. The Gothic zombie moved from box to box, peering in everyone of them to make sure there were no Moonstone.

The Song-Light needed it. And Kitty needed to like her. But no progress. No progress being made with Moonstone. No good. Not good at all.

"Kitty want Moonstone! Kitty want Moonstone! Kitty WANT Moonstone! Kitty want Moonstone!" She began shrieking off the top of her lungs.

If Kitty scream, will someone help her?

'Go to Charms class.'

Okay, yes, that was exactly what Daxton was doing. He was going to Charms class. To the classroom, towards it, in that direction. Nobody could say he had not, because there he was, easily visible to other students making their way to the lesson.

Daxton approached the room (not wearing the robes he had been anonymously sent, seeing as he had sold those on the day he had received them), hands in his pockets, and glanced inside. It took only a fraction of a second to notice the weird square pits, the different-looking professor, and the students who had been acting strange for days, and that fraction of a second was enough to make up Daxton's admittedly-already-made-up mind. The shrieking that had begun emanating from the room only helped to further cement his decision. Without stopping or slowing down, Daxton continued walking, past the classroom and back out of sight.

Technically, he had been to Charms class, after all. Technically. Sort of.

Echo entered the class room to find that it wasnt really a class room setting at all. Reading the instructions Echo went to one of the box things while saying hello "Hi Professor" she said while hearing a few other students... shaking her head and covering her ears she looked at Professor Primeaux. "Professor, if I have to put up with these kids asking me for books or stones or what ever, i think my heads going to explode." She really hoped this box thing was sound proof.

Quickly making her way over she sat in a corner, waiting for class to start and other noises to tune out the constant asking of things. ughhhhhh.

He'd tried, and tried, and tried again. But he hadn't been able to fix it. The colour-changing charm was set on either not working for him at all, or working all wrong. So it was that Song Jaemin ended up trudging into the Charms classroom with newly mint green hair, eyes on the floor the entire way. He only looked up when he realised that there were no chair or table legs to follow to a seat; while this classroom setup seemed better than the last time, it was still weird, and the small boy's nose wrinkled in confusion. He was equally confused when he looked at the professor and realised he looked rather not like himself.

Weird. Very weird.

Scratching at the back of his head, Jaemin shuffled to one of the squishy-looking square things, sank slowly onto the corner of it, and did his best to look even smaller than he was.

The students not acting like themselves were annoying her. Actually, it was more annoying Brooklyn that she honestly wasn’t surprised by craziness anymore. In some ways, it was comforting to know that Hogwarts hadn’t changed. Plus, as of yet she hadn’t seen any acromantulas, so she was dealing with it. Not very well, but she was. She just hoped none of them tried to ask her about where any of the odd things were. For everyone’s safety. This was nearly more annoying than the charms challenge had been.

Which was foremost in her mind as she’d made her way to the Charms classroom, merely eyeing the pits as she’d stepped inside. “Good morning Professor Primeaux,” she said, barely reacting to his change in appearance. That was his prerogative, just as hers was not to question it. Instead, she made her way to a pit as far from the screeching student as possible, the only thing keeping her from casting a Muffliato charm on said pit being that she wanted to hear the professor whenever he began the lesson.

As much as Ollie disliked being in class, he was really excited to be getting back to Charms. It was his favorite subject after all. And walking into the classroom to see weird...box things and the professor in his new...uh...look only made him happier to be there. He really wanted to ask the professor whyyy he'd chosen a new look too, but Oliver had learned it was probably more respectful to just pretend he didn't notice it. "Hello professor!" Ollie waved at him and took a quick glance at the board and made his way over to one of the big blue boxes, hoping he didn't end up with any of the weird people in search of random books and eggs and stones and whatever else it was. As great as Esme was, he wasn't quite sure he could deal with sitting in an enclosed area with her while she bugged him about a book.

Cal had been walking behind Daxton, watching him continue walking instead of going into the charms classroom. Hmmph. Whatever, it's not like he wanted him to be in class anyway. It was more of a wonderful relief.

Cal stopped at the door, stunned by the sight of a few students awkwardly sitting on corners of...hollow squares?...looking like people who didn't want to sit fully on public toilets.

His eyes flickered to the professor, shrugging to himself in acceptance that this is just another weird Hogwarts thing, and moved to one of the square seats. The boy tried to figure out a way to sit comfortably, but that seemed out of reach, and plopped down awkwardly on a corner.

Fiyero blinked, glancing around the Charms classroom. All the desks were gone, replaced with what looked like giant empty boxes. Weird... Had Professor Primeaux decided to redecorate or were these things actually part of the lesson? Maybe the teacher had turned the contents of each box invisible? Or perhaps used a shrinking charm instead?

"Hello, Prof-" Fiyero started to say but stopped as he looked up to see a strange man in Professor Primeaux's place. The sight made him do a double-take. This strange man was Professor Primeaux! "Professor Primeaux?!" He tried to keep the shock out of his voice, but he had a feeling he'd failed miserably. "You look nice, sir," he quickly added, giving the teacher a small friendly smile.

It was only then that Fiyero noticed the note on the board. Wait, they were supposed to sit on those box things? That sounded odd... and uncomfortable. Nonetheless, he took a seat at the top left corner of the nearest box, allowing his feet to dangle over the side. He took out his wand and placed his bag on his lap. He hoped they wouldn't have to do much writing today... trying to balance a quill, ink, and parchment in his lap was going to be awkward!

Olly was not sure what those square things were supposed to be. His first thought had been swimming pool, but there was no water in them. And they were too small to fit four people in a swimming pool that size. So maybe that wasn't it, but he had been thinking of other explanations since the moment he saw them. He did glance up at the professor, only briefly taking in his appearance and not even commenting on the fact it was a bit different than usual. "Hello professor."

He went to take a seat in one of the square things. He selected one with a friend! Jaemin! His appearance was also unusual. "Hey Jaemin! I like your hair."

Climbing out of box, Esme sees a boy. Does boy have book? Esme need it. He need to give book to Esme! She walks over to him unsteadily and holds her arms out waiting for him to give to her. "Esme need spell book. Give to Esme?"

Please give to her.

She need book. Need to give book to light. It only thing that matters.

The minute Oliver heard her name so close to him, he sighed very loudly. He missed the days (just before break) when Esme was so amazing and normal and giving him warmth out by the lake. This Esme, he couldn't quite deal with.

"Esme...you already have the book." He pointed to her charms book and hoped that would get her to drop the cave-woman act. All the while, Oliver tried very hard not to let himself worry about what was actually going on with these students. Believing it was an act was working just fine for him so far.

Juno walked into Charms hoping her sister wouldn't be there yet. She hadn't noticed the Professor's change in style, she was too concerned about Esme. "Hello, Professor!" She said before noticing that her sister was indeed in class already and trying to get a book from a boy. She sighed and walked over to them.

She set her books down outside of the box that Echo was in and turned back to the boy. "I am so sorry. I don't know what has gotten into her. She has got me worried sick." She started to tear up...this was so not like Juno. She was not the crier....Esme was.

She placed a hand on Esme's sholder, "Esme, we don't know where the book is. Can you please sit down and be quiet for the class?" The worst part about all this...Esme didn't know who Juno was. It was really scary, but she knew if she told her parents about this, their mother wouldn't allow them to come back next year.

Hady silently slipped into the classroom for one of her favorite lessons. Charms. It was also one of the few lessons she wasn't dropping out of to give herself some more downtime. Maybe that was the reason for the smile the teen was now sporting rather then the depressed look she had most of the time before the holiday. Or it could've been for an entirely different reason. Whatever it was she was in a good mood and nothing was going to mess with that.

"Good morning Professor," she greeted with her normal warmth and smile glancing at the man for a split second longer then usual and giving an approving nod. His appearance was different but not at all bad except for perhaps the lack of a smile on his face but everyone was entitled to off days, she should know. A quick glance at the note on the board had her selecting one of the last empty square block areas and sitting herself down in the corner. Strange yes but certainly not the strangest thing she had seen happen around here.

The students wandering about still and asking for random things wasn't strange either. She had encountered this a few times recently, that boy Torie, her friend Esme and even the young snake Mason. So as odd as it was she really didn't pay to much mind to that...she was watching a little however. Mostly because she didn't want to see anyone get themselves hurt.

It was time for Charms and Janelle rushed into the classroom because she thought she was late. She wasn't, but as usual, an unusual sight greeted her. Why were there what looked like ball pits, minus the balls, all over the room? Well at least they made things interesting here. Every professor seemed to encourage the students' guessing skills. What would they be doing today?

Moving further into the room, Janelle said, "Hello Professor". Then actually looking at the man, she saw that he had undergone........a transformation of sorts. "I like the new look, sir." And oh, the searching kids were still searching for........whatever it was that they were searching for. When was that going to wear off? Janelle found an empty spot on one of the "ball pits" and sat down. Ready for whatever. Than was her theme for the year.

Colt walked into Charms and he thought he was seeing things. Well he saw all these pits and wondered what in the bloody merlin they were going to do with them. He looked to his right and saw the Professor was standing there. He nodded and said, "Hello Professor.." Apparently if you don't greet them you get points taken off. It only happened with Bellaire but still. He tried to find a pit that wasn't full and he saw Kaycee. Aahh right the cool skater chick. He nodded towards her and he sat in his own corner and waited to see what they were doing next.

Hip, old people please. 'Hello, Professor?" That was actually him right? She walked on and found a seat. She was more excited about the ball pit than Primeaux's midlife crises.
