Lucas had took one of Tallie's hands shortly before they Disapperated from the street in Diagon Alley and when they appeared in the yard of her home, he did not drop it immediately. He looked at his best friend beside him. "Are you alright?'' With her current mood and the pressure and feeling that Apparation usually brought along, he wanted to ensure she was fine.

His eyes travelled around the outside of the House. "Want to stay outdoors?'' Lucas personally did not have a preference. He'd just be happy to make her favourite meal and keep her company. It would be similar to those nights when he stayed with her when she couldn't sleep.

What were best friends for, after all?

They were here, at her house...their house? Is that a good way to say it? Talullah looked up at him. She really didn't know. "I think so...I don't know." Actually she was starting to feel a little light headed right now. Talullah took ahold of his arm to keep herself from falling. Tallie breathed in some deep breathes and let the air out slowly.

She was feeling a little better right now, the dizziness wasn't passing completely but she was feeling somewhat better. Although she wasn't letting go of Lucas's arm yet. He would have deal with her for the time being. "Let's stay out here." The Irishwoman said, she knew that in the end she would feel better being outside in the clean air than being cooped up inside right now.

He felt the extra pressure as Tallie clung to him. What a stupid question he had asked. It was clear she was not alright. Lucas watched her take deep breaths, full of concern. "Outside is fine with me. The fresh air will help you hopefully.'' Lucas put one of his arms around her waist to lead her towards one of the chairs in the shade of the house. "You just relax,'' he told her.

Lucas sat down on a chair close by, not quite willing to leave her just yet. "I'll be your personal assistant today, Ms Whitehall. You get to boss me around and all those things.'' This was his way of trying to make Tallie feel better. He just wanted her to take it easy; he didn't mind doing whatever she wanted. "First up, I'll be your chef. Is there something in particular you want to have?''

"I hope it helps."Talullah said with a slight shrug. She was still clinging to him. She wasn't going to let him go at all. Nope, never so it sucks for him. Relax? What was that? Did she even know how to relax right now? "What's relaxing?" she teased him with a slight smile. Teasing him was fun and it would be even more fun if she didn't feel so sad right now. Against her will she decided to sit down, even if she still wanted to cling to her best friend.

She wasn't going to do that, that wasn't in her nature. She wasn't going to take advantage of him right now. "I can't boss you around, I would feel horrible doing that." Her Hufflepuff side was showing right now. As tempting as bossing Lucas around seemed she couldn't bring herself to do it. "I don't want any food right now." She told him with a small smile.

Clinging. Tallie was still clinging to him. Did Lucas mind? No, not in the slightest. The only thing he felt right now was concern. He pulled his own chair closer. "Alright, I got it. You want to cling to me.'' He smiled. "So now you can still do it.'' It was a win-win for them both. He got her to sit and she still had him in her hold. "Let's see. Relaxation is where my best friend would just take it easy and not stress about anything.'' Still smiling, he raised his right hand and playfully booped her gently on the nose.

No bossing around and no food. This was fine with Lucas as well. Whatever it took to make Tallie happy he would do it. "As you wish.'' He sat back as comfortably as he could with her still clinging to him. "We'll just sit here until it's time for me to get Brody. He'll keep you busy when he gets here. I hope he won't be a bother to you given how you're feeling.'' Lucas knew that his nephew would never be a bother in Tallie's eyes but she wasn't feeling well here...

Talullah noticed as Lucas moved the chair closer. She was taking the clinging way too far. Wasn't she? "I'm sorry." She said with a frown as she stopped clinging to him. The Irishwoman knew that her best friend wouldn't mind the clinging but she felt horrible for doing so. "That's easier said than done, Lucas." Talullah shrugged as she looked out towards the water. She had so many thoughts running through her mind right now. Why was she acting like this? Why was she being so clingy to Lucas? Why did something not feel right? Talullah wanted to know the answers to these questions but she couldn't figure out what they were.

The blonde felt like she was nabbing for all of Lucas's attention and she knew that he wouldn't mind but she would mind greatly once Brody got here. Tallie didn't want to take Lucas's time with Brody away, she knew how much that time meant to him. She would feel horrible if she did that. Talullah looked up from the water and over to Lucas. "No matter what mood I'm in Brody would never bother me." She said as she put her hand on top of Lucas's. She wanted to remind him that no matter what Brody would always come before her. Maybe that was just the motherly side of her? She still didn't know how that worked since she doesn't know what it's like to be a mother and she never grew up with her mother in her life.

"What's there to be sorry about?'' Lucas asked. "I don't mind.'' As if to prove it, he took her hand and held it. This was purely done out of friendly concern not in a romantic way. He knew Tallie didn't think of him in that way, anyway. "See? We can both cling to each other now.'' Hopefully the action on his part would be comforting to her; make her feel better and assure her she had nothing to be sorry about.

Talullah looked at him with her green eyes. "I'm just sorry for acting like this and not knowing why." She sighed as she looked at him. "I'm also sorry for being so damn clingy." She knew that he would protest to that. Talullah looked down at Lucas's hand as he held her hand. She wanted to think that she didn't feel anything but she did and she didn't like where her brain was going on this. She really felt better when he held her hand but Tallie still felt bad for clinging to him for so long.

"I really hope he can distract me." She shrugged. She was going to pray on that as soon as Lucas left. She really wanted to be out of this frump. Tallie shook her head. "No, you should go and pick him up." She insisted. "There's no need for a sitter." Besides Brody should always come first. She can come second to Brody and she was fine with that.

Lucas gave Tallie a kind of look that said, "Quit worrying about it.'' She was always so worried about being a bother to him and he just didn't get that sometimes. In his eyes, a best friend could not be a bother. Ever. "I'm not complaining,'' he told her and he gave her hand a light squeeze of reassurance. "I want you to stop thinking that you are, alright?''

"He will. He'll probably have you chasing him or something like that.'' Lucas grinned. Having Brody there would not be such a bad thing after all. "Sure. If that's what you'd like.'' He'd do anything for Tallie, you know. "Certain that you don't need anything before I go? Or you want me to pick up anything? I can grab some food for us.''

Tallie caught his look and she knew what it meant. She closed her eyes and let out a long sigh. She opened them back up and look at Lucas once more. "I'm trying, Lucas I really am trying." She didn't feel like herself. Times like these really made her miss being herself. This was torture for the normally happy go lucky person.

A soft smile broke as she listened to Lucas talk about Brody. She loves that little kid so much. "I bet he will." she said with a soft laugh. Tallie look out at the lake as she listened to Lucas speak. "I don't need anything. I'll be fine while you're gone." As much as she loved the whole him waiting on her she just wanted him to do what he had to do and pick up Brody.

Lucas smiled reassuringly. "I know you are. I just wished I knew what to do to get you out of this funky mood.'' It killed him to see her in this state since he was so accustomed to the happy-go-lucky Tallie. He glanced at his watch. "Alright. I'll leave now to get him.'' He squeezed her hand again. "I'll be right back.'' He rose and with another smile, he Disapperated.

Lucas came back shortly after. In one hand, he was clutching a bag filled with food and the other was holding onto a five year old Brody. "Auntie Tal, Auntie Tal!'' Brody called the moment he saw her. He wriggled out of Lucas's hand to run to Tallie. "Look what Uncle Lucas got me!'' He excitedly placed a small red toy Ferrari in her lap.

"I thought he may like it,'' Lucas explain when he caught up with them. "Got food for us. You hungry yet, Tallie?''

Tallie nodded. "I know, Lucas." She knew and she also knew that she hated being like this. The worst part about her mood was the look at Lucas's face, he knew that there was very little he could do and it broke his heart. Talullah gave hims a small smile as he got up. "I'll be here waiting for you guys, okay?" She wouldn't ever leave Lucas and Brody.

Talullah let out a sigh as Lucas disapperated. She really hoped that seeing Brody would lighten her mood. Even if she never realized what was causing her to feel like this she just knew that she wanted to be herself again and with being herself again she knew that Lucas wouldn't be so worried for her.

Tallie looked out at the lake as she waited for Lucas to come back with Brody. It felt like he had been gone for a lifetime but then again she was being clingy and needy for her best friend...that's if she really did see him just as her best friend. She didn't know what she was feeling anymore about Lucas, she knew that she cared about him very much and she trusts him with her life and she would do anything and everything for him but her feelings, yeah, she didn't know where all of that was headed.

Talullah was lost in her thoughts, she didn't even hear them come back until she heard Brody calling her 'Auntie Tal' she couldn't help but smile when she saw the little boy. She knew that she wasn't really his aunt or if she would ever ben his aunt but she loved hearing. Talullah looked at the red car that Brody had placed on her lap. "Oh, that's so awesome!" The Irishwoman said with excitement as she picked up the toy car and looked at it. He was adorable and she loved the little boy so much. "Do I get a hug?" She asked Brody. Even though she wanted a hug from Brody she really wanted a hug from Lucas as well. The blonde looked up at her best friend. "I'm starved." She said smiling at him. She was feeling a lot better right now.

"Aunty Tal likes my car,'' Brody informed Lucas proudly which got a hearty chuckle from his uncle. "Someday I'll own one just like this and I'll take you for drives,'' he now told Tallie, eyes back on her. "Yes, you do.'' Brody lifted his arms and fit them around the woman as best as he could around her. "I missed you. Uncle Lucas kept me away from you a long time.'' The five year pouted at Lucas.

Lucas laughed. "I told you Aunt Tal is a busy woman before, Brody. We can't have you bothering her all the time." He knew Tallie would object but Brody could truly be a handful sometimes. "I'm here to save you from starvation luckily, Tallie!'' Lucas set about organising their food on a table close by. There was soup, sandwiches and other stuff that Brody and Tallie liked. "Dig in!''

"Aunt Tal, can you feed me?'' Brody looked at her with wide eyes.

"Brody, be a big boy. You can eat by yourself.'' Lucas shook his head at his nephew. But he already knew Aunt Tal would willing oblige.

"I can't wait for you to own one for yourself but promise me not to grown up too fast, okay?" She really knew that he would grow up before their eyes but the comfort of the promise really helped to be honest. "Just remind Uncle Lucas that you can see me any time you want, even if I am busy. Be sure to bug him about it all the time." She looked over at Lucas with a smile once she said the last part. Talullah hugged Brody back. She really did miss him a lot.

A big grin shown on her face as she heard Lucas. "I'm so happy I have you here to save me from starvation, Lucas." She said with a giggle. Tallie looked at the food. "This look amazing." The woman said as she picked up a sandwich and took a bite.

The blonde look at Lucas as she listened to what Brody was asking her. He was too old for her to feed him and she knew that Brody knew that but she would let him down sweetly. Talullah smiled warmly at Brody. "I think it would be best if you feed yourself today, like a big boy." She nodded.

Brody blinked up at the woman who was his aunt but not really his aunt yet he loved her as much. "I want to grow up though,'' he said seriously. "I want to be like you or Uncle Lucas.'' What he meant was to be involved in sports. "I want to play Quidditch.'' His face lit up. "I will do that.'' Brody nodded. "If we all lived together, I would get to see you everyday.''

Lucas smiled back at Tallie. "Now he'll never quit asking to see you.'' Maybe it was a good idea to let Brody see her as often as possible seeing that his best friend was the closest thing to a mother figure that Brody had. It hadn't occurred to him before. "Can't let that happen to you,'' he replied, his mind now back on food. "Who else will challenge me to one on one Quidditch?'' Still smiling, he took up a seat next to Tallie. "Yes, it does.'' Lucas dunked his sandwich into some tomato soup.

Brody was disappointed that Aunt Tal didn't feed him but he nodded. "I will.'' He always listened to her. He sat himself down between his aunt and uncle, reaching for the bowl of soup Lucas has just set for him. He set the toy car close to his bowl. He liked the moments he spent with Lucas and Tallie.

Valentine's Day
February 14th, 2090

The always cheerful blonde wasn't exactly happy about today's date, she rarely hated or dreaded anything but today was an exception. She really dreaded this day for so many reasons. Talullah looked in the mirror, she didn't know why she was even getting all dressed up for a day that she didn't believe in. She didn't have a date and she was single so what was the point in her even getting all dolled up for nobody?

The blonde just stood there in front of her floor length mirror. She had been wanting to wear this new dress for months. She didn't even think of wearing it to the Ministry of Magic Orientation last month but she wanted to wear it now. Part of the reason for her hatred of Valentine's Day was due to a past relationship that ended very badly and the other reasoning for it was that there were so many days, weeks, months and years to show someone that you love them and not have to go all out for one day that might end in heart break or marriage proposal.

Tallie took her green eyes off the mirror and sat on the end of her bed. She had so many thoughts running through her head. Thoughts about Lucas and if she should tell him how she's been feeling about him and thoughts about Drew, those thoughts weren't good thoughts though. The Irishwoman knew that it was time to tell her best friend about Drew but every time should try to speak about it she would just breakdown in tears and she didn't want to break down in tears in front of Lucas. That was the very last thing that she wanted to do. She didn't know what she wanted to say or not say to Lucas in that moment.

Lucas had no plans for Valentine's Day. He never really celebrated it except for that one time he had been with his self centered girlfriend in Brazil. That was history and he was living for the present. That's why he wanted to do something special for Tallie. Just as best friends. The guy had no inkling of what was going on in Tallie's head and the thoughts and feelings she was developing for him, after all.

He had thought of him and her going out and having fun. Earlier, he had noticed how sad she had become when he had asked her if she had any plans for today. Lucas thought Tallie had gotten so because she was not dating anyone and he was not about to let her be sad and lonely. Especially not today when he could show her how much he appreciated her friendship.

"Tallie?'' He knocked on the door of her room then entered after he had gotten a reply. She was sitting on her bed but he still managed to get a good view of her in the dress. "You look prettier than ever,'' Lucas complimented, a smile growing on his face. To him, however, she looked sad. He moved closer to her. "What's wrong?''

The Irishwoman looked at her hands but quickly looked up when she had heard Lucas's voice. "Come in." She said to him. She knew that he would be here but at the very same time she didn't know if he was actually serious. Talullah looked up at her best friend as he entered her bedroom. There it was, a compliment. "Thank you." she said with a smile. It honestly made her heart just melt. He was too sweet sometimes.

The woman shook her head. "Nothing really. I'm just not a very big fan of Valentine's Day. I mean, I understand why it's a holiday and all but at the same time I just don't really like it at all. I have my reasons for not being a fan of it." She really did but she wasn't sure if she really wanted to tell Lucas. She knew that she had to tell him but she still didn't know how.

"You're welcome,'' Lucas said, still marveling at Tallie. She was such a fashion expert. Then again, she could wear a ratty jumper or dress and still be the most beautiful person in the world. His smile dropped somewhat. He had always suspected that something happened with Tallie that made her not want to partake in Valentine's Day plans and he was wondering now if he had made a mistake by wanting to ask her to go out with him later on.

"You know you can always tell me about it. I won't push you to but I would listen.'' Lucas had never asked Tallie to tell him what had happened anytime before as he reasoned she would do so whenever she liked. This time, though, he felt the need to ask her. What could be bother his best friend so much?

"I should have told you before but I didn't and I am so sorry that I didn't." Talullah said as she got up and walked over to her the little table on the side of her bed, she opened the little drawer and took out a light teal journal. The woman just looked at it before she turned to Lucas. "I don't know if you'll like all that you read in here, most of the entries are short. I just didn't have that much time to write very much." Tallie said as she handed her best friend her journal. She walked back over to the end of the bed and sat back down.

Lucas's heart thudded a little harder. Was something wrong with Tallie? What hadn't she told him before? He curiously watched her as she retrieved a book that turned out to be a journal. "I think I would like to read everything.'' In his heart, he had misgivings about doing so but he wanted to.

He took it and flipped it open to the first page. Lucas's face slowly broke into a smile as he read the earlier entries- about Quidditch, Hogwarts, her dates- and then it turned sad as he read about her boyfriend and relationship issues. His expression changed rapidly as he continued to read, especially when he reached the ones about Drew. His face got stony and his temper rose- his temper had never bothered him before.

Lucas slapped the journal shut. Stony expression still in place, he stormed out of Tallie's room.

He wanted to find Drew and make him pay for hurting her.

Talullah just sat on her bed quietly as she let him read her journal. She knew that she wouldn't have been able to go through and tell him herself without crying. As some time passed she glanced over at Lucas. She noticed his face go from smiling to a stone look. She hadn't really seen him so serious and anger before. She didn't want him to be like this or to act like this but here he was. This was why she never wanted to tell him but Tallie knew that she couldn't keep it from him forever. It just wouldn't be fair at all.

The blonde woman watched as he rose from the bed and stormed out of the room. Oh no. Talullah got up off of the bed and ran to him. Once she caught up to him she grabbed his arm. "Lucas." her voice broke as she said his name. "Please don't." she just didn't want anything to happen to him.

Lucas was beyond angry. He was seeing red and wanted to get back at Drew. In his hand, he clutched Tallie's journal. He wanted to finish off reading her entire but he knew part of him couldn't. He couldn't bear the thoughts of her struggling like that all alone. He had all the intentions of marching out of the house to find Drew. He didn't know where to begin but he would find somewhere to start.

At least that's what he thought until Tallie caught up with him. He felt her grab his hand and he halted. She was the only second person in the world who could calm him. She did do so but only a little. "He. hurt. you.'' The man was so angry that his teeth were gritted and he spoke each word after a pause. "I'd teach him a lesson right now if I could, Tallie.''

He really would.

Stupid Drew.

Lucas hated him.

She didn't know who was going to show up. She had invited her siblings, Gabi, Mercedes, Vic, Mariel and everyone else from the department here today but she wasn't sure who was going to show up. Well, the important person in her life was here though. Maybe he didn't could because he was living here with her. Talullah shrugged to herself as she placed all of the food on the table. She had pretty much everything anyone could think of. The blonde woman was very happy that it was nice and sunny out. The perfect summers day.

After about ten minutes she was finally done setting everything up. Tallie looked at the watch on her wrist. She still had about twenty minutes before people would start showing up. She walked over to her wooden pastel yellow chairs by the lake shore and sat in one of them. Talullah looked out at the beautiful water with the bright sun shinning in it and mountain view. This was her favorite home of hers and it always would be. She had a lot going on with her mind at the moment and it was the same old problem that she had since the beginning of the year. She felt terrible for not telling Lucas but she also felt very selfish for not telling him at all.

She was scared.
