Oooh. He could talk too. And he could hear her too. Awesome. Grinning at him happily, Alysson said, "Good. I'm glad. That looked pretty bad." She pointedly glanced back at the phone booth while taking another sip of her strawberry smoothie. "Are you on your lunch break too?" Hang on. Was he scooting away from her?

Okay, he was obviously trying to get away from her and now he was asking for her name?! "I'm Alysson. Alysson Zookara." She replied with a smile, scooting closer to him yet again to make sure he could hear her. Plus, she wasn't somebody to scoot away from. "What is your name then, Sir?" Alysson added politely, playing around with the straw in her smoothie absently.

Sherman stared at the lady as she gave him a crooked, cocky grin. He wasn't exactly sure if she was just naturally eccentric or had just escaped from St. Mungo's Mental Ward. But she seemed nice enough, so he nodded as she expressed her relief. Sherman took another swig of his coffee, blinking wildly to keep his heavy eyelids from dropping. The old man yawned, sending dribbles of the brown, caffeinated drink down his chin, but he was too tired to mop them up with his sleeve. "No, I'm not on my lunch break," the elderly man replied, embarrassed. "I.. I actually haven't gone to work yet.."

"Alysson," he muttered. "If you rearrange the letters, they make the anagram 'So Nasly.' Nasly means only find in Czech." Sherman spoke automatically, rearranging the letters like a brain puzzle. "Sherman Clark, Time Chamber Specialist," he said, ready to extend his hand when he realized the girl was scooting closer to him yet again. He moved closer to the side, only to fall of the bench completely. "Ow." At least his coffee was still intact..

Alysson's smile remained unwaveringly happy even when all the man did was stare at her. He looked pretty...tired? Aww, he should be in bed, not running around - well, not running exactly - outside. "Oh." She couldn't help but laugh at this a little, not even trying to hide it. "Who are you working for then?" Nobody could be mad at that adorable old man for arriving late for work, right?!

Anagrams, huh? This man was definitely...special. "So Nasly." Alysson repeated with a rather amused smile playing around her lips. "Interesting." And she truly thought it was too. Though, she would have probably found anything coming out of this man's mouth interesting.

Time Chamber. "So Mysteries, then?" She commented with a smile just to keep the conversation going when...he fell right off the bench. "Oh my, are you okay?!" Again. This was kind of a déjà-vu, huh? Crouching in front of him, she touched his arm to make him look at her. This man was a little accident-prone wasn't he?

The old man watched the lady giggle as he stated that he hadn't been to work yet. "Well, we have a new head, Vanderbilt, because of the.. things that happened last month. I haven't, um, I haven't met him yet," Sherman said quickly, trying not to give away too much information. After all, he was placed in the Department of Mysteries, right? "It IS interesting; anagrams are a fantastic part of the English language. They're frequently used for fake criminal names," he said, coming out with another awkward fun fact. You learned some funny things when you were alive for sixty-five years.

Sherman didn't feel like getting up off of the concrete sidewalk, so he just sat there and calmly sipped his coffee as Alysson crouched in front of him. The old man yawned and then randomly poked the girl's nose. Finally, he got up just to get away from the creepy lady, and sat on the bench again, praying she wouldn't follow him.

A new head? Oh, Alysson was so glad that they hadn't got a new head. She doubted it would have been that easy to just come back for her if it hadn't been for Evander. "Yeah, I heard." Her face fell a little as he mentioned what had been going on while she'd been gone. Part of her was glad that she hadn't been around for all that.

He hadn't met his Department Head yet?! "You haven't?! Why not?" Alysson asked, clearly suprised by this statement. Was he always so late for work that this Vanderbilt person had already gone home by the time Mr. Clark arrived for work? But he was trying to get back to the subject of anagrams, apparently. "Yes, I agree. They're pretty interesting." Yes, she'd heard about that. "So what's your fake criminal name then?" She joked with a grin for the old man.

Before he got to answer, though, he was sitting on the floor though. With Alysson crouching in front of him, eyeing him curiously with her head slightly cocked to the side. Whoa, had he just...poked her nose?! Alysson reached up with a surprised giggle to touch the tip of her nose as well. Somehow she got that he didn't want her near him but that didn't stop her from taking a seat on the bench again.

Would he leave if she poked his nose too? Heh.

"Well, his first day was only a few days ago, so I wouldn't consider it too terrible that I haven't met him yet.." Sherman said bluntly. "Yes, anagrams are cooool. All we used to consider 'cool' in my day were adjectives." He grinned as Alysson asked him his criminal name and replied, "IMMA NINJA. I'm gonna make all the other ninjas cry because of my skills of awesomeness. WACHAAAAH!" The old man held his hands up, karate-chop style, as he practically bounced in his seat. Ninjas were even cooler then anagrams. Uh-huh.

The girl let a high-pitched giggle escape her throat after the cripple had poked her nose. Heh. But Sherman didn't mind too much when she took a seat next to him on the bench, as long as she didn't scoot closer to him again.

Oh, that definitely made more sense than them always missing each other by a couple of minutes each day. Though, that explanation would have been funnier. Heh. "Oh, okay. Well, I hope he'll be better than the last department head you had." Alysson commented with a smile and a raise of her eyebrows. But seeing as their last one had somehow been caught up in this whole cult thing, being better wasn't going to be too difficult.

In his days. Wow, that had been some time ago hadn't it? "Adjectives?" She echoed with a surprised giggle. Of all the things to consider cool they had chosen 'adjectives'? Interesting man. Very interesting. In a slightly odd but adorable sort of way.

A...ninja? "Oh, I can totally see you as a ninja." Alysson managed to get out between a few laughs. This man was just too adorable for his own good. They way he was now showing off his mad ninja skills. "Why choose to be a Ministry employee when you could have easily been such an amazing ninja?" She joked with a grin, trying - and failing - to keep her face straight. Or could he be both?

"There was nothing wrong with Sakura," Sherman declared defiantly. "He was just a big humdinger and was involved in a bunch of useless cult nonsense, that's all." Wait, but how did this lady know about the Cult stuff and Sakura's firing already? Did the story spread around the Ministry that quickly? Well, they were called the Department of Mysteries for something, but he just had to figure out what it was.

"Yes, Adjectives!" The elderly man said excitedly, bouncing in his seat. He remembered the days where he and his friends would beg the Language teacher to give more lessons about them, but she'd always refuse. No one would refuse about anagrams, right? "But anagrams are the next big thing. They're going to make songs about them."

The girl apparently liked to giggle a lot. "You can?" Sherman asked, delighted. No one, excluding his granddaughter, ever thought he could be a ninja. "But ninjas can't fall asleep while fighting crime, can they?" He seriously was considering a full-time ninja career.

Headscratch.

Dexter frowned. He was pretty confused as to where he was, so he kept turning around in place, looking every which way. His eyebrows were furrowed and his hand was at the back of his head, rubbing the short stubbly hair slowly. Unfortunately for him, he hadn't bothered on upgrading his little muggle portable phone-thing to one with those fancy locaters. He was stuck with the tiny silver flip phone and no way of finding the shop he was looking for.

What luck. He frowned and bit at his lip, still turning around every few minutes to try and spot something familiar, but with no avail.

Emily was in no rush to get home. Strolling through muggle London had its perks anyway, and at this point in time, she had a hankering for some vanilla coated peanuts. She only hoped that her usual vendor on Millennium Bridge would have some freshly prepared.

She'd barely rounded the corner from her usual exit, when she noticed some absurd muggle turning in circles. Lost? Perhaps. Generally, she wouldn't have asked, but she was in a reasonably good mood.
"You alright there?"
Emily's big hazel eyes scanned over the man, attractive one at that, and stopped on the muggle device he was holding... ugh... she'd never waste her time with one of those.

Dex still had no idea where he was. He knew that if he headed off in one direction, he'd later find out that the shop was in the complete opposite direction. It was just his luck, really. It was never on his side. Not when he needed it to be, anyway.

It hadn't been long before he'd been approached though. Secretly, he had been hoping someone would. His pride refused to allow him to ask a muggle on the street. Hearing the words of the woman, a rather attractive one with huge beautiful eyes, he shook his head.

"You eh... there a shop 'round here tha' sells toys?"

And no, they weren't for him. He pocketed the phone, knowing it wouldn't be of any use, especially when he had a woman in front of him who was quite deserving of his full attention; one who might be able to help him out.

Standing a short distance from the man, her hands in her pockets, Emily observed the man and waited for his response. The accent was not something she had expected and she smiled at the fact. A toy store?

"Erm...." she started, pausing to scratch the nape of her neck in thought. "Sorry, not my expertise. But there's a good one on Tottenham Court Roard... it's a bit further out in that direction," she indicated by pointing.

Helpful? Not helpful? At this stage Emily was just pleased to have been able to offer the man any counsel at all.

If there weren't any near, or none that the woman knew of, Dex supposed he could buy one a bit closer to the in-law's, but he wasn't overly sure that he could find one out there either, and there was no way that he as showing up empty handed. Callie would have his head.

"Yeh?" he followed her finger, already knowing that it was pointing in the opposite direction of the way his instincts were telling him to go. "How far off is the ehmm..." he paused for a moment trying to get the name in his head, "...Tottenham Court?" He repeated it back to her slowly, carefully, because the name was so unfamiliar.

Most of the London area was unfamiliar to him. He still hadn't gotten around to fully exploring the land. It was a lot of land though, so he supposed that was alright.

Emily was amused. Very very very amused. The thought crossed her mind to be more approachable and talk to muggles more often. Purely because they were such strange beings. Perhaps the thing that amused her the most was the foreignness of the man before her. Because he clearly wasn't from these parts.

"Depends on how fast you walk," she mused, peering down the street. "If you think you can keep up, I can get you there in about fifteen... I'm heading that way already." Heck, it wouldn't hurt for her to step inside one of those stores... Izzy's twins could do with a treat, after all, it was her mission to spoil them rotten.

Merlin, she was gorgeous. He had a thing for younger woman, but then again, what man didn't? He watched her for a moment or so as her attention was directed away from himself and down the street. It made it easier to steal glances, not that he would overly mind being caught.

Dex grinned. "M'sure I could manage yer pace." He fancied himself a bit of a quick walker. He then turned his body toward the direction she had been pointing only a few moments ago, ready to start when she was. "Ya sure this won't be too much trouble?" He didn't really want to inconvenience her, but at the same time, he could do with some company.

She noticed the glances. Yes, she noticed. It wasn't as if the mystery man was trying to hide it, or if he was, he wasn't doing it well enough.
Emily's lips turned up into a private grin. She could get used to this, to him.

Handle it? Oh she was sure he could... what with that strapping physique of his. A part of her wanted him to take the lead, partly to satisfy her auror paranoia and partly so she could assess whether or not she liked the back of him as much as the front. She was only human. But of course, since he didn't know the area, that plan was moot. "No trouble at all, you'd practically be walking me home..." more or less. "Sorry... I never got your name..."

The man grinned and adjusted his footing slightly, shifting from one foot to the other. Had she noticed? He was pretty sure she had, which only turned his grin into that of a mischievous man. Oh, how lovely these muggles of London were; Inside AND out.

Dex's eyes widened a bit at the mention of walking her home. "How convenient fer ya." And for him. Mainly because that meant he'd be allowed the next fifteen minutes, or more depending on their pace, to admire her. Let's face it, those huge eyes were intriguing, which made her extremely intriguing. "Ah, right. S'cuse me manners, gorgeous. Dexter's me name. And you are?" Maybe he might get more than just the admiring done. Maybe along with the name he'd get a number; he'd quite like that.

This was not something she had anticipated for her walk home, but it was, interesting, and she liked interesting. After the day she'd had, interesting was a bonus.
"Convenient for the both of us it seems," she replied. And the best part, she knew the short cuts, and the scenic routes. If he was interesting enough, perhaps she'd draw out the experience, if not, then cut him loose early.

Gorgeous? Well that was rather forward. Something Emily liked. Dexter.. so the mystery man had a name. She smiled. "Pleasure to meet you Dexter... the name's Emily." Slipping a hand out of her pocket, she extended it to the handsome Dexter. There was no harm in a hand shake, was there?

Dexter was looking forward to the walk he had ahead of him especially given the circumstances. Not only would he be allowed to please Callie, but he might also make a new 'friend' in the process. A very pretty one, too.

He rather liked the thought of that. "Indeed," he mused with a slight nod of the head. Dex wasn't entirely sure what he could get Calliope but he supposed that if he convinced the woman to help him she wouldn't steer him wrong.

"Pleasure's all mine, Em'ly." He replied, gripping her hand and giving it a firm shake. His hands were rough from all the outside work that he'd done over the years, would she notice?

Heh. Well would you fancy that, the way he pronounced her name, made it sounds slightly less average, she liked this. For a short moment Emily wasn't sure if Dexter would shake with her, or whether he'd think it absurd to shake her hand so soon. They were still strangers after all.

The thing that surprised her the most, was the force with which he shook... it was firm, and mildly rough. Her fingers traced over the calluses briefly, and it left her wondering what the man did for a living. Emily smiled, returning Dexter's strong grip with a firm squeeze of her own. She was used to being around men and working with them, their strength didn't scare her in the least. Rather, she enjoyed it.

After the shake, in which she had managed to get a sense of Dexter, she slipped her hand back in her pocket and initiated their walk. There were so many questions she'd like to ask him... but she was mindful of the fact that he was neither an informant nor a suspect, so perhaps she ought to have left her questioning skills at work.

Instead, she just enjoyed the view, which was something London had, no matter where you were. Though it didn't stop her from stealing glances at her company.

Fergus apparated near to the phone booth. He was dressed in a kilt, purple leggings, a feather headdress, a sequined blouse, red cape and mismatched sneakers.

The few muggles who were around quickly shifted their gazes away from him. Upon seeing that he wasn't getting the attention that he wanted, Fergus pulled out his wand from inside his kilt.

Brandishing it like a sword, he shouted, "LOOK AT ME YOU MUGGLES!!" with that he started yelling out incantations which caused his wand to let out multi-colored sparks.

Instead of being frightened, the muggles started gathering around him enjoying the magical display. That is until Fergus decided to have some fun by throwing a jinx at the nearest muggle.

Cade, Saul, and Jade appeared outside the Ministry near the specified phone booth, and Cade's eyes immediately sought the man in question. The wizard wasn't hard to find, considering his clothing and the charms he was throwing.

Voice low, Cade addressed Saul. "The point wasn't that I was critiquing his outfit. He was breaking the Statute as soon as he appeared outside in that get-up, and we'd have to deal with the repercussions of Muggles seeing him like that. But this is a bigger deal. I'd say he wants to get caught. This is ridiculous behavior."

Coming along side both Cade, and Jade...hehe, NO! Laugh about that later!!

Coming along side the two ladies Saul looked at the looney man across from them. "His clothing hasn't got anything to do with breaking the statute, He's dressed as neither muggle or wizard" Saul argued back in a whisper no louder than Cade's. "He's casting jinxes at the muggles, that's what breaks the statute in his case" He looked over to Jade now"We can't just nab him, he in a crowd and he'll probably just apparate again." He pushed his glasses up from his face, then with a second though removed them completely and stuffed them in his shirt pocket.

Jade rolled her eyes at the pair of them arguing over the man's dress and the statute. It really wasn't relevant at this very second-- what they needed to do was to stop him.

Looking back at the scene in front of them, she saw that the people were starting to panic and run away from the wizard which was a good thing (at least they were running away from the three of them as well and had not noticed the apparition.) The wizard himself hadn't noticed the three either--he seemed very focused on jinxing muggles in a gleeful manner and in actual fact was moving away from the three wizards with each flick of his wand chasing some of the muggles who were running away.

Keeping her voice low, she answered Saul, "No, we can't especially since there are muggles around still and we can't afford to spook him. I have one idea but it is extremely difficult with all these muggles here-- it involves combination of legilimency and reminiciating meaning planting a false vision in his mind allowing you two to sneak up on him unnoticed. If you have any other ideas, I'm open to them."

His eyes drifted to their handshake, watching her fingers trance his calluses brought a slight smirk to his lips. It tickled a bit, which he vaguely enjoyed. He took not of her strong grip, rather liking that as well. He'd always connected a strong handshake with a strong woman and he supposed this time would be no different.

Dexter watched her take her hand back and followed after her as she began the walk. He was a bit lost for words. It was a rare moment for the man, as he was always known to be rather smooth with women. But after a moment of glancing around a bit and neither of them talking, he figured it was time for him to interject.

After a moment of thinking about what to say without sounding like a complete creep or something he managed to speak. "Ya live 'round here. Tha' mean you work 'round here too?"
