Armen waited until the dust and debris fell to enter and inspect the office, lest some figurine jump out and attack himself or his employees. Before he could act on any incoming attacks, something strange caught his eye. Technically the site of four figurines standing perfectly still wouldn't have been strange but when you had had the day he was having it was a pretty good example of strange.

He walked forward wearily and then read the letter out loud to his employees and ended with a smile. "Well, it sounds like its over!" he grinned and looked at them all with a huge smile. "You all have done sooo well." Armen then turned to Laura and nodded. "And don't worry Luara I still like the gift." he joked and began to laugh.

Eh, what?

Laura's spells and some of the others subsided and she could see what she had initially missed while bursting blindly through the door. She frowned sadly at the sight of some busted up furniture within the office. Armen couldn't be too happy that his chair was in bits. Maybe a quick Repairo would fix it up though.

What was more interesting, or more confounding, was the realization that the "enemy," so to speak - although it was a little sad to view the tiny animal figurines as enemies - was no longer mobile. There they were sitting totally still on Armen's desk! Right next to the sculpture Laura had gifted to the department head not very long ago, no less!

She approached the desk carefully. Who knew if the figurines were going to surprise attack her!? But they didn't, and she glanced down at the awfully handwritten note left on the desk. By the figurines??

Laura listened as Armen read through the note. The explanation, the apology, the odd signatures at the end. Eh? She glanced at the sculpture again. It was simply a bunch of types of magical transportation intertwined together into a quite pretty-looking statue. But it was made of some weird magical clay? Oops.

Laura turned to Armen. "Er, sorry about all that," she said, pretty sure that she was responsible for a lot of the damage in the room. Her eyes rested for a moment on the papers that had been sent flying everywhere from their rightful place on the bookshelf and she felt really sorry even though Armen had said he still liked her present. "I had no idea about that statue, and I'll help to clean up." She put her wand away, swept her loose bangs behind her ears, and began to pick up the flyaway papers.

Sitting on the desk, huddled around the gift of a statue, that Laura Miller had given Armen the Dept. Head, were the snake, lion, eagle, and badger figurines all frozen again. Beside them was a note, written rather hastely and with a series of curious signatures at the bottom:

Each of the figurines were frozen, gazing happily at the statue that was rightfully theirs.
Huh? Scarlet blinked. Was it really all over? Carefully walking over the dust and debris on Armen's heels Scarlet saw that four statues stood on the department heads desk with a parchment in front. Pocketing her wand she listened as the contence of the parchment was read out loud.

The figurines had originially come from magical clay and had tried to find their way back to their friends. Feeling for the statues Scarlet almost got a bit tear eyed as she came to realize why the lion, badger, snake and raven had done what they had done.

The MOM was certainly full of surprises.

Armen smiled warmly at Luara as she nervous accepted his thanks for the gift that had seemingly caused the whole figurines fiasco. He knew it wasn't his Division Head's fault, she had been with his Department for almost as long as he had and Armen knew she would not make such a mistake knowingly. He was just glad no one was seriously ingured. "Everything is quite alright Laura, it looks like we can keep my statue and we can decorate the office with our little 'friends'." he grinned and then added hastily. "But they can't leave this level, or be seperated very far....for obvious reasons." he chuckled knowing no one here would want a repeat of last time they were apart.

Armen had barely fixed the splinted desk chair when an owl swooped in carrying a letter stamped with an official Ministry of Magic wax. The Department Head took the envelope and opened it to begin reading. He noticed the writing to be that of the new Minister, Alexandra. He had met her way back when she was Undersecretary but now she was Minister! And their first big meeting was starting soon, he had to get there now!

"Attention everyone, the new Ministery Miss. Carlton is having a meeting where I must attend. So if you would all please file out of my office, I can finish the repairs later and follow me into what is left of our main work area!" he said ushering them all out and closing the door behind him.

Laura straightened up, a few random papers that she had picked up in her hand. As she neatened them up and placed them on the desk again, she caught Armen’s eye. He was smiling warmly at her, and she smiled back despite the fact that she couldn’t simply not feel horrible and responsible for the damage. But the last thing she wanted to do was disappoint the department head… although not just because he was her boss.

She found herself looking around at Scarlett at the sound of her voice. The new division head seemed to have a questioning look on her face and she glanced at them. Her and Armen, that was. But by some good grace, Scarlett started suggesting some office clean-up before Laura could feel her face start to heat. Darn being pale! It was so easy to tell when she was about to burst in a blush.

Laura turned to Armen again. She nodded as he spoke again about the statue and figurines. “Well, you’d have to not only dust the statue, but our new little friends too,” she said jokingly, glancing and gesturing to the four no-longer-vicious-looking animals. They must really have been attached to their clay to never want to be separated from the Transportation statue. Then, she slid out her wand.

It wasn’t long before the office was beginning to look great again. Laura mused to herself about all the department heads she had seen go through and sit and work in that office, starting with Mrs. Greingoth. Sadly, they had all left. She hoped that Armen wouldn’t be leaving for a long time.

Soonish, an owl flew right past her and toward Armen. A Ministry owl, obviously. It was carrying a letter with the Ministry seal. Laura finished up with cleaning the small area she had been working on and walked over to see what news the owl had brought, slipping her wand back into her pocket. Random thought! She needed to buy herself a wand holster!

“Oooh, a department head meeting?” Laura said with a small smile. “No problem. We’re about done in here anyway. And the work area probably has a lot more to offer in the ways of cleaning up.” She shuddered a little. It was probably an understatement to say it was a mess there. But it shouldn’t take that long with all the employees around. Laura turned on her heel and followed the others out the door and back to the main work area, glad that no one was scathed by the whole figurine incident.

Just perfect, now she had no idea if her suspicions were true or not. Armen had smoothly complimented her clean up idea thus causing the opportunity to dig into the relationship between him and Laura go down the drain. "Thank you, Armen."

Oh well Scarlet thought she would find out more about that sooner or later. Working her way around the room she restored the book case and removed all the dust off the floor.

The tension in the room and the loving looks between Laura and Armen were enough for Scarlet to know her theory was correct. But she wasn't going to voice it out loud. It wasn't her place yet. She was too new and didn't know either her boss or Laura enough to know if she was reading too much into things. As the ministry owl zoomed in Scarlet stopped cleaning. Armen had been called to a meeting with the minister of Magic Ms Carlton thus they needed to continue cleaning in the work area and oversee the employees.

Nodding towards her fellow division head Scarlet said "Yes, your probably right. The cubicles must look like a ruin or something considering what took place in there. See you later then Armen!" With that the dark haired woman turned on her heel, pocketed her wand left through the open office door.

The Ghost

Upon arriving just outside the Department Head's office, the Disillusioned Ikenna Gevrik set about inspecting the office's security in the manner he saw fit. First were several charms to check for other charms, anything that might require a password to enter, possible booby traps or security blankets, so to speak, should Armen Recard have the brains to put those in place. He did not.

Ikenna took a few steps into the interior of the office and continued his spell-casting and security-checking, now looking for hidden bodies, invisible locks, safes, filing cabinets filled with private undesirables, etc.

Again, his search yielded nothing immediately suspicious, or at least nothing that interested Ikenna enough right away. That, however, was a red flag in and of itself. Why did the Head of Magical Transportation, one of the busiest and most important offices in all of Great Britain, have no personal security precautions in place? He could not blame this lack of protective enchantments on the little mishap with a gift gone awry, as the office had already started to clean up from that fiasco. Considering the half-repaired state Recard's office was in, Ikenna doubted that four small ceramic figures could have broken through the charms that should have been protecting his private office anyway, had such charms been in place.

Satisfied and yet dissatisfied with the results of his preliminary screening, Ikenna temporarily returned his wand to its holster and now set on some basic observations of the room. He touched nothing but did thoroughly inspect the note and the figurines that were allegedly responsible for the destruction to this level. He snooped about the few personal touches Recard had added to this office and after nearly a quarter of an hour of basic observing and minimal magical prodding, Ikenna came to stop beside the department head's desk chair.

He frowned, still invisible, and leaned down to use his wand to make a few minor adjustments relating to leg room and cushion comfortability. With that taken care of, Ikenna settled himself into the chair and leaned back, his hands resting behind his head and his feet extended onto the half-destructed desk. He was the perfect picture of contentment and relaxation, should anyone enter the room and have the gall to search for disillusioned people.

Recard was not likely to do so, however, and so Gevrik calmly and invisibly awaited his return with his eyes fixated on the door.

Armen raced down the hall to his office door, fumbled with the door knob and then finally flung the door open and slammed it closed, leaning against it to catch his breath. That blasted man had him loosing it! He was a Department Head damn it! He hardly had anything bad to hide in here or on his level.

He had the strange feeling that this guy knew what some were thinking when it was apparent to others, that he may even be a leginimens (sp? sorry xD) which startled Armen the most. He didn't have anything to hide anymore really though....but he wasn't going to bring anything up. He didn't have toadstools for brains, he was an Up-standing member of society now, there was no taking that away from him!

"In a rush to claim something you've forgotten, Recard?"

The dispassionate, deep voice of Ikenna Gevrik came floating out from above Armen's desk but the Head of Security made no move to disillusion himself. That would be Armen's task, wouldn't it, and a natural first step all Ministry heads should take upon entering their respective offices?

"Perhaps it is your dignity you left in the Minister's conference room... because it is certainly not here. I would know. I've checked."

He laughed, a harsh and cynical sound that echoed around the room disturbingly. Still, the man made no movement to reveal himself or even to budge from his comfortable location. Gevrik had a perfect view of the clearly-ruffled head of transportation from here and could easily sense what he was thinking.

"And I do know," he added in an even more sinister, ambiguous tone. "I know about you, Armen Recard, I know."

"And I do know," he added in an even more sinister, ambiguous tone. "I know about you, Armen Recard, I know."
After beginning to finally catch his breath he heard with horror the last voice he wanted to here at the moment, the one he feared would beat him to his office. Instantly the young Department Head got goose bump up his arms and the hair on the back of his neck stood on end.

Placing his hand on his wand to insure his protection the best he could (it was consealed though), Armen slowly turned around his body rigid and his eyes wide. "Excuse me? Mr. Gevrik, surely you did not break into my office?" he said trying his best to keep his composure, hand still tight on his wand. He winced at the comment about his diginity and the question about coming back to hide what he was keeping in there. "I have...n-nothing to hide, I assure you!" he spoke again a bit more quiety this time, beginning to search for the invisible man.

He took a step towards the desk and a terrible laugh filled the office and made it feel as if ice water filled Armen's viens. He stopped in his tracks and hsi eyes widedned with only one thing fear. He KNEW? How was the possible, he had gotten away from that stuff. He didn't leave any traces, this is impossible! He pulled his wand out from its holsture now and held it in front of him, the grip on it causing his knuckles to turn white. He continued to search the room. "I will not stand being intimidated in MY office, Mr. Gevirk!"

Finally, an most likely because of his hightened senses due to immense fear, the Dept. Head noticed the slight movement of a quill on his desk...on it's own accord? "SpeRevelio!"

The Ghost

Ikenna shook his (still) invisible head and refrained from laughing once more. "I believe the spell you intended you use, Mr. Recard," he slid his wand out of its holster and performed the counter-charm on himself so that he flickered into view, "was Homenum Revelio. That would have showed you my current position in your plush desk chair instead of causing your spell-checking quill," he gestured toward the writing utensil near his foot happily scribbling profanity on the desk, "to reveal its minimal abilities."

Fighting another laugh, he gave the man a pointed look, as if to say, 'Really? You call this intimidation?' but did not budge from his seat. With the adjustments Gevrik had made earlier, he would have to be forced to leave this spot. Best seat in the house.

"Calm yourself, man, this is not a break-in or an interrogation." He patiently held up a hand to hush the frightened department head the way one might soothe an upset hippogriff. Merlin, was his wand shaking from fright? Ikenna was certainly mirthful at the sight of that observation but he would not stand to have a wand pointed in his face nonetheless.

With another non-verbal flicking motion, Armen's wand was now separated from its owner and was instead smoothly intertwined between the fingers of Ikenna's left hand. "Sit," he pointed the terrified Transportation head toward the seats in front of his desk with the man's own wand, "and we will discuss what you may or may not wish to hide."

The command carried a certain connotation to it that it would be unwise to do anything else, unarmed as Armen was... and it also implied that the Head of Transportation was already hiding something.

The insinuation was almost unnecessary, for Ikenna already knew. He just liked toying with people and collecting their confessions.

Armen was now completely flustered, not only had one of the scary new Department Heads broken into his office to perform a 'suprise inspection' (more like a terrifiy and harrass everyone into admitting something he could use against them plan) now he was using the wrong spells. Armen's face turned bright pink and he was hit with another pang of terror as the man reappeared. Ikenna then flicked his wand towards Armen, who was ready to defend himself from the upcoming attack, Armen's wand twitched and then....flew out of his hand....uh oh.

The 32 year-old Dept. Head contemplated on running out through the door but then thought that the maniac had probably locked it when he wasn't paying attention, number one thought of a preditor and his prey most likely. Then Ikenna had the NERVE to command Armen to sit down, pointing his own wand at him. That seemed very threatening to him.

Sitting down after a reluctant second Armen crossed his arms and stared hard into Ikenna's face before finally looking away.

Default my mistake. ;)
The Ghost

Good, good, he had the sense to sit down and break their eye contact at last. Ikenna swung his feet off the desk and leaned forward, his folded hands resting easily on the desk between them. "Running would only serve to prove your guilt, Armen, which is not entirely necessary."

The shady Security-obsessed man shook his head ever so slightly, amused at the thought that he had locked the door behind him. Armen really was rather unprepared for this job. Too young. Too fresh. Too easily scared. Disregard his experience in the field and the man could have been nothing more than a newly-graduated Hogwarts student.

But one that could still be taught, perhaps.

"You know why I'm here," Gevrik began amicably enough with his baritone voice at a quiet, even level. "And also so you know, I have already looked over all the files of the current department heads here. Files that contain your basic details and background, your previous employment history, your educational background, and bits and pieces of your personal life."

It was the personal life that did most of them in. "Then there are the files that you may not yourself even know about. Files containing things that should not become general knowledge.... buried secrets of a darker past, for example....."

Ikenna deliberately left his sentence hanging and slowly waited for Armen to make eye contact with him again.

Ikenna deliberately left his sentence hanging and slowly waited for Armen to make eye contact with him again.
Armen sat in the chair across from HIS chair and HIS desk that was now occupied by the dreadful Ikenna Gevrik. Many people had sat in that desk and they all had something in common, it was THEIR'S and they were the Level 6 Dept Head, not some goon trying to scare and intimidate their collegues. Armen listened intently, too nervous to be as unattentive as he wanted to be as Gevrik began to speak of the files he had gone through on him.

'ohh...' Armen said, fidgeting his feet below the desk. Had he really found anything incriminating? It could be a trap. Armen knew what to do, and it wasn't a lie either, he was no criminal! "Oh well that's just bloody excellent isn't it?!" he said sitting up straighter in the...guest seating that he currently was occupying. "So you've found nothing wrong with my past and crendentials, I pressume." he said smartly then had too tone back the attitude, he had almost forgotten the seriousness and didn't want to do anythign to bring attention to himeslf like that again.

The Head of Security smirked broadly from his seat in the Head of Transportation's chair. "Yes, to use your words, it is 'bloody excellent.' Excellent for me to have extensive knowledge of this Ministry for its own safety."

Indeed, all of wizardkind did not know how fortunate they were to have Ikenna Gevrik keeping their best interests in mind.

He tilted his head toward the other man in something of a nod. "That is my point. I do not have a problem with your past." Gevrik leaned away from the desk and lounged back into the chair, resting the ankle of his left leg on his right knee as he waited for Armen to interpret this sentence.

"Others, however, might have questions..... questions about how a bright young man fell into cahoots with such a different 'crowd'... or on the other hand, they might have questions about why he left the company of talented, innovative wizards on the fringe of greatness to pursue a career in the Ministry of Magic instead...."

Questions. One of Ikenna's eyebrows raised in a curious manner. Yes, he was so generous to allow Recard an opportunity to address these questions.

Armen nodded slightly, his head turning to the side as the man spoke about his interest in the Security of the Magical world. The Dept. Head really couldn't argue to that, it was a noble plan and technically the guy's job. "Well that is very honorable of you Ikenna and I...wish you well on your task." He crossed his hands in his lap as he looked at the guy lounging in his chair.

What was this guy getting at? Armen tensed slightly as he brought up his past and then the fact that he KNEW about the slight trouble Armen had mixed with after Hogwarts made his blood boil. This man was sneaky and he did NOT like it, it was people like this that made him leave that stinking cult....PEOPLE LIKE THIS?! Armen's face went blank, the horror of his realization hidden in his brain. Was Ikenna....one of them? No he couldn't be, he was in the Ministry, didn't they all distrust the government? He was definately going to have to look into this. As soon as he left no doubt.

But for now Armen wasn't about to give away anything, much less agree to the notion that he himself had been in cahoots with this shady crowd in his niave past. Brushing off the questions of his past, Armen moved on hoping his little brain panic attack went as unnoticed as he hoped it did. "Well Ikenna, I know that my chair is extremely comfortable and the view out of my charmed window is to die for, but weren't you down here on level 6 to do an inspection?" he asked cooly.

If Armen Recard really wished Ikenna Gevrik "well" on his "task," then he would know better than to address the man by only his first name. All was well and fine when Ikenna called the Head of Transportation, "Armen," but the reverse did not hold true.

As it was, the dark man lounging in the comfortable desk chair stiffened slightly, now on edge because of what had been said...or what had not needed to be said. Ikenna's eyes never left Armen's as his searching gaze probed the man's emotions. With just his one remark about Armen's past, the younger man had gone from boiling with anger to being frozen with that horrific realization of danger. Ikenna was ever so fond of small epiphanies like those.

It was the overly blank face and attempts to calm his expression that gave Armen away. Briefly, Gevrik had the fleeting notion to ask the man if he had ever won a hand of wizard poker but dismissed the idea, as entertaining as the response may prove to be.

Instead, the Head of Security calmly shook his head and tightened his grip on the two wands in his current possession.

"Not all of us 'distrust' the Ministry, exactly," he corrected Armen's thought process aloud, thus admitting to several things the man feared the most. "Especially not now, you see."

He smirked and rose from the other man's desk chair, stretching his long legs out as he paced around the desk and came to lean on its edge just in front of where Recard was sitting. "I was trying to make you see that your past is not something to dismiss so lightly, my friend. You cannot run from it, you cannot hide it, you cannot lock it away in a random filing cabinet. Your record as Head of the Department of Transportation is not the beacon on your resume that you think it is.

"As I mentioned before...I am sure you have other skills that could be of more use to certain key people in the Ministry now...and it would be in your best interests to cooperate instead of attempt to dismiss one of these leaders from your office."

Gevrik let a very thick silence fall with his last words, as something of a last attempt to get through to Armen what he wanted. He needed to hear confirmation out loud that he was going to work with Ikenna's organisation and not against it.

Because if not... well, Mr. Gevrik always had been fond of two highly useful, somewhat frowned-upon, spells.

Armen was pretty sure this was his worst day ever at the Ministry. It had started off exciting with a closed-door meeting with all of the Department Heads and the Minister (who he was now no so sure of, considering her new hires). Now some lunitic who was no doubt going to hold his foolish past over his head for some time unkown to the young Department Head was in his office practically threatening him to join forces or the guy would leak his past to the rest of the Ministry.

When Gevrick went on about how he couldn't hide his past, it hit Armen that it was time to stop pretending because the man new about his slight, and VERY breif summer with the Cult. "To HELL I can't hide it!" he stood up, his voice rising. "I've kept that damn black spot on my record underwraps for nearly twelve years, there is NO WAY it is coming out like this!" he thought about advancing towards the Gevrick character but remembered he didn't have a wand, Ikenna was calling the shots. He settled down and sat back in his chair seething.

"I can't lose my reputation in this Ministry, I've worked TOO HARD!" he slammed a fist into his knee of his trousers. Armen couldn't believe it was coming to this, could he really join these people and what they stood for?! He had to, it was Bloody Blackmailing is what it was. That's why he left them in the first place. Finally he sighed and spoke very quietly..."What must I do for you to keep this from the rest of the Ministry?"

Default It is my turn to apologize for the delay - sorry!
The Ghost

The only raving lunatic in that office happened to be the one shouting and blowing out Ikenna's eardrums with both his spoken and unspoken words. And that lunatic would be Armen Recard.

Gevrik did not take well to being shouted at and he had his wand halfway to Armen's throat before he caught himself. Silencing Department Heads with whatever spell came to mind first was not how the cult wanted things done here, he had to remind - and restrain - himself.

Though really it was the other man who needed restraining, Ikenna did not flinch nor even show any other hint of his irritation with Armen's behaviour. Thinking he really could hide his past now was just naive. "Temper, temper," he chided quietly, stepping away from where the Transportation Head was seated. He made a wide circle around the man and ended up near the door, facing it with his hands (and the wands tightly held in them) folded behind his back. It was from there that he started speaking, just loud enough to be heard without having to turn his head.

"First of all, what you must do is to learn to constrain yourself and your temper, Recard." Ikenna's voice was deep and commanding, leaving no room for questions as he told the other man precisely what to do.

"Secondly, you will be attending meeting with some friends of mine and potential...friends...of yours. I will get you details on it later this week but rest assured that if you do not show up at this meeting, you will not be showing up at work ever again either." That was a promise, not a threat.

"Lastly, and most importantly, I want you to hold a meeting of your own here shortly. Today or tomorrow would be the most prudent time, in fact." The Head of Security turned around with a serious, penetrating glare and stony expression. Clearly there would be no getting out of this order. "Seeing as you are in charge of all of wizard transportation in Great Britain, you should also be aware of how the British Muggles travel. Am I mistaken in assuming this, Recard?"

No he was not mistaken, but he paused a moment in case the man was feeling foolish enough to interject something. Moving back toward where Armen was sitting, Ikenna tapped the two wands he held in the palm of his free hand.

"Muggles, as you will agree, need looking after, particularly since they do not have magical capabilities. They cannot apparate, they do not have a floo network, and they certainly do not travel by broom. This is where you come in - we want your department to take over certain facets of Muggle transportation and, for lack of a better term, 'wizardize' them. Control them. Take care of the Muggles by whatever means necessary."

He came to stop in front of Armen's chair and leaned in close, placing one hand on either armrest so that he was basically IN the other man's face as he continued speaking with a new note of danger in his tone.

"It is your job to make certain this happens, Armen Recard, without letting on about any particular external motivations. Should you have a little slip-up..."

He trailed off and brought the two wands up, trailing their ends across Armen's cheek so that two identical, painfully red scars appeared from nose to ear.

They would fade... eventually, but not before his point was made.

"Are we clear?"

Gaga Mafia Monster : MURPHY : Kelvin's SS!BFAM : Roro's Evil Twin : Ravlyndor : Gopher

Had Armen not already finished shouting, he sure would have as soon as Gevrik put the wand against his throat. Armen stood rock still, his eyes bulging with fear, and his chin raised, trying to not let the wand touch him. Then Ikenna moved the wand away, a hint of annoyance and even anger towards his own actions visible on the man's dark face.

The 32 year-old Department Head sat frozen where he was watching hsi 'visitor' head towards the door and then begin chiding HIM about HIS temper, he hadn't done much better. But Armen didn't think to hard on this sense it had become apparent that Mr. Gevrik had some leginmency habits. So he just stayed quiet, his mouth a hard line of anger and shook his head at the first rule for him. Temper under control.

Rule number 2, A WHAT?! Amren's heart began beating even faster in his chest, if that was even possible. He was not so sure he could live through a meeting like that, he could barely stand being with one of them. But that meant for sure that there were more of them in the Ministry! And there it was, the deafening realization that Armen had no choice but to attend that meeting. "I'll be there." he said through clenched teeth.

Rule number 3, he had to do what? THis guy was telling him what he had to do with his own Department and employees? Oh....well that really didn't seem to bad to be honest, just the fact of the Statute not really encouraging magic to be used with muggles, plus the people in the Miuse of Muggle Artifacts won't be pleased. Before he could say anything, even a note of confirmation that he will go on with the dreaded task, Ikenna was in his face.

Armen flinched slightly as the man's eyes burned into his and the words he said gave him chills. The suddenly out of no where, a searing pain shot through the left side of his face that brought an involuntary jerk of his hand towards his face. He didn't shout out though, through small gasps he finally was able to say, "Clear." and he rubbed the angry burn on his face, his eyes watering in pain.

The Ghost

Ikenna did not need to use legilimency to sense the pain coursing through Armen Recard right now. It had only been a tiny taste of what the cult was truly capable of but it was enough to give Gevrik the small satisfaction that Recard would be taking him seriously now and would be following his orders with precision.

"Good." He pushed off Armen's armrests and lightly walked back around his desk as if he hadn't a worry in the world. He carelessly tossed the other man's wand onto his comfortable desk chair and then adjusted the flawless lapels of his suit jacket and smoothed any wrinkles out of the front of his chest. Gevrik preferred suits as robes billowed too much for one who spent much of his time invisible.

Now was one of those times. Once again casting the disillusionment charm on himself with ease, Gevrik slipped his wand back into its wrist holster and studied Armen for another moment.

"You'll be wanting to start that meeting now," he reminded the younger man, probably disturbing him again by giving invisible orders. "And it will be you who opens the door so that I may exit. It is not locked." He would have to follow Recard out so that it didn't look odd to the employees that an office door was just swinging open and closed of its own will.

Besides that, this way the Head of Transportation would have no time to waste composing himself and/or crying in his office as Ikenna suspected he might do.

Armen stood up from the chair that he was now free from, his legs shaking slightly. He did not take well to be 'attacked' in his own office. Those angry burns on his face were not going to away soon and he began to think of what he would tell his employees they were. He followed, at least he assumed he was there, the invisible Mr. Gevrik to the office door and put his hand on the knob.

"Of course....Mr. Gevrik, I will go inform my employees now." he walked back to his desk and scribbled a memo on a peice of parchment, copied the parchment with his wand and with another flick of his wrist the papers zoomed into the air like airplanes and waited by the door to be released, not unlike his creepy visitor. "There, shall we?" he asked quietly and then opened the door. He would see that terrible man again soon at the 'meeting' and was not about to wish him a good day. He allowed the invisible man to leave and then the memos before he rubbed his face one last time, and shut the door, trying to force a smile on to his face.

Gevrik led the way out of Armen's office, smirking slightly as he caught one last glance of the nervous man and his scarred face. He tucked his hands in his pockets and casually strolled out of the room, determined to check on a few 'things' before he spied on the meeting Armen was to hold.

Sarah thinks I'm cute | Shan's safe space.

Taking a deep breath, Adam steeled himself as he raised his hand, perfectly poised to knock on the door. This was his only chance to make a first impression, and he didn't want to make an awful one. Quite the contrary - he wanted to make a great first impression, because first impressions were always hard, and often made people see you in a certain light before they even barely knew you.

So he wanted to come across confident. But not arrogant like he was often did. And also hard working, dedicated, willing to work as part of a team. All of the stuff Alan Sugar had taught him last night while watching re-runs of the Apprentice. Only he wouldn't mention that - he didn't know his new boss, so for all he knew he could just stand then waffling on about something the man had no clue about.

Taking another deep breath, and telling his mind to stop whirring and calm down, Adam knocked on the door.
