Hooo.. the man would be his boss!
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Vartann. I'm Adler Charlotte, and I'm the new security officer." said Adler calm.
As Richard came through the floos not long after, Gabriel moved slightly and stood in front of the cabinets, pulling the draw open on one of them. He was just about to fill him in on what they were for, when Richard spoke. Eyeing up the memo in the man's hand Gabriel sighed. "No, I'm afraid not. The Transportation head has seen fit to advise the Minister to take away our licenses. We all have to resit the exam." The irritation in his voice was clear to hear. He wanted to wring Recard's neck.
"But anyway, Richard, I just wanted to tell you about these cabinets. They house all the wand registries from people that enter the Ministry down there," Gabe pointed in the general direction of the Atrium. "Visitors have their own draw, and there is one for each department. It makes it easy to find the information if one is used for violent purposes, or is lost." He took out his own form and showed it to the new man to see, just so he knew what it was all about. "And this one here holds details of any interviews with....suspicious people...we hold in this office."
Smiling at him, Gabriel pushed open the door into the main office and was about to walk through when he was confronted by a person he did not know was there....
"Resit?" he practically spat that word out "Exam?" two words he hated more than anything. "Probably trying to get a pay-rise" he said sharply. Moving over towards the cabinets he listened intently to everything Gabriel had to say. "I see" he smiled as he saw Gabe's form "That does make sense"
Way to point out the obvious Richard.
"Suspicious?" he paused "I hope I'm not in there" he laughed. A lot of people had found him strange.
He followed Gabriel until they were interrupted by someone. He waited politely for the conversation to end before moving on.
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Vartann. I'm Adler Charlotte, and I'm the new security officer." said Adler calm.
Another of his new recruits? Well this was just kind of perfect. He got to meet two of them before the orientation meeting Van had planned. Lovely.
"Please call me Gabriel, Adler. And it's nice to meet you, too," Gabe said, extending a hand to shake the other man's. "As a matter of fact I was just showing Richard here around, he's a new security officer like yourself," he gestured to the man stood next to him.

And Richard seemed to have the same opinion on the matter as the rest of them had, going by the venom with which he repeated Gabriel's words. "Yes, among other things," he replied lazily. Richard would probably find out about it all sooner than later anyway. But, good, he understood the forms and where they went. Nice start.
Gabe chuckled at the man's next comment though. "Well I would hope not, no. But I doubt Van would have hired you if you were overtly suspicious." He smiled and raised his eyebrows.

He noticed to the man next Gabriel.
"So, he is also a new Security Officer, Gabriel?" asked him to Gabriel. "Nice to meet you." he smiled to the man.
Meh. He wasn't sure where to start patrolling to be honest, so he managed to make his way to the Security Office. Looking around, he noticed Gabe and two other men in here as well. New security officers, he expected.
Lights walked into the Security Office - well, bounced, actually. She was in a good mood, as usual. Her bright green eyes sparkled as she took in the other people in the office - all male, she noted. "Hello other Security Officer people! I'm Lights." She waved cheerily, hoping they wouldn't be intimidated by her sunny introduction. Some people were, unfortunately. Lights didn't mean to be forward, but she was just that type of person. She twirled her finger around a strand of her already curly light blonde hair, biting her lip with a smile.
OOC: Hi! Yes, Lights is very cheerful I offer a challenge to anyone who can ruin her mood

Richard laughed quietly, not to disturb other employees. He felt comfortable with Gabriel, as he originally believed this organization to be a harsh and hostile working environment, "No, yes of course not" he said, his eyes darting around the room at the others.

Turning around to see who was talking to him, Richard saw someone who seemed to be his superior, or at least, wasn't a new employee. "Good morning sir" he replied quickly.

Other security officer people? Richard rolled his eyes at that comment. Not only was that unprofessional, but it also rather immature, and the waving didn't help.
But she looked happy. Too happy, and he felt an instant dislike towards her childish attitude.
He muttered a few words. "Morning" he said, colder than usual, but not unfriendly.

Lights smiled sweetly at the man, perfectly aware of his not-exactly-warm attitude towards her. "Who're you?" she asked curiously, while looking around the room. Filing cabinets, desk, Floo network, huge window ... very clean and professional. Lights sighed inwardly. She'd signed up for excitement here, not a desk job. But whatever, she would live. Her sister had told her working isn't fun, it's practical. Meh.

Oh, so now she was talking to him? Not a good idea. "Richard Stone, Security Officer" Yeah, how do you like that? Notice: No compliments, or praise.
She looked like she belonged in a school, a little child, who never grew up.

Lights kept smiling at him. "Hi, Richard, nice to meet you." Her tone was friendly but the underlying ice shone through. He thought her a child, she could tell. Lights wanted to show him just how good at Transfiguration she was when she changed her mind. There were better ways. And she would find them.
So Lights just shrugged and changed into her Animagus form - a medium-sized creamy white labrador - and sniffed out the area.

Lights? Pretty stupid name."Hmmph" Richard said, frowning at her. That's one thing he didn't like; Enthusiasm.
Too much of it was embarrassing, although he didn't like pessimism, anyone that put too much enthusiasm into anything he instantly disliked.
He almost screamed when she changed into her Animagus form. He relaxed a bit and then continued to frown at the now dog. What a show off.

The dog looked at Richard smugly. Ha ha ha. One point to her for almost making him scream. He looked like a total perfectionist to Lights. And he didn't like her name ... what did people have against her name?! She could have been called Sarah or Lucy or whatever and nobody would have batted an eye ... But Lights ticked people off. Her father especially. Lights suppressed a shudder at the memories, determined to keep a happy face around Richard, if only to annoy him.
The dog trotted around the room, sniffing. She could swear she could smell something off here ... she shrugged and turned back into her human form. Lights grinned at Richard. "All clear in here," she said cheekily.
"So, he is also a new Security Officer, Gabriel?" asked him to Gabriel. "Nice to meet you." he smiled to the man.
"Yes indeed, and it's rather fortunate that you all happen to be here. Makes showing you around a whole lot easier," Gabriel laughed, smiling at both men as they introduced themselves to each other.

Ahh, just the man he was about to send for. His most hard working employee. "Blaise, good morning. Wonderful that you're here, I was just about to send a memo for you to come. This is Richard and Adler, two of our new security recruits. I was hoping you would assist in showing them around, and where they will need to patrol?" Gabriel was just about to respond with a greeting when she said hello to all of them, and got into a conversation, of sorts, with Richard. Gabe could somehow tell the man wasn't all that impressed with the ball of sunshine that had entered.
And he himself wasn't much so when she changed into a dog. "Lights, please try and refrain from using your Animagus abilities at work, unless asked to. We always need to be able to use our wands at all times," Gabriel warned her, but in a nice way. He didn't want to put her off on her first day. Especially as she was in his division. "But it is nice to meet you. I'm Gabriel Vartann, your head of security," he then gestured to the other men present. "And this is Adler Charlotte, another security officer like yourself. Blaise Carlisle, an event security officer, although at present he is working internally. And you've met Richard."

"Okay, Gabriel.." said him strange. It was unusual for Adler called someone (maybe) older than him just with the first name. He noticed to Richard and gave him a calm smile and.... A girl who was turn become a dog.
So, she is also an animagus? suddenly Adler changed himself become an eagle.

"Yes, sorry, Gabriel," said Lights, sobering slightly. Her smile was still intact though - not even Richard's bad mood could ruin that. She waved to the other man, now eagle. "Hi, Adler." Her inner dog told her to chase the bird ... she held herself back. She'd just told Gabriel she wouldn't transform into the dog at work, and she could at least try to uphold that promise for a few weeks. So she just grinned at the eagle. "Cool form, I haven't seen a bird in a while. Usually it's just domestic animals." She pointed to herself. "Exhibit A."
Lights smiled sheepishly. "Feels really weird to be back in an office." Lights hadn't gotten used to the enclosed space yet. After spending the past 2 years travelling the world, settling into one place seemed really hard. But Lights was glad most of her workmates were nice.

Oh, so now that Lights had just been told NOT to become an Animagus at work, it was suddenly okay for Adler to turn into one? He frowned at her, hoping she knew that he was only doing this because she was just told what the rules were yet chose to break them. "Good to meet you Adler, I'm Richard" he lied.

That frankly ridiculous manner of speech in a business environment was aggravating Richard to the point of shouting, but he refrained from doing so. He continued to frown at the Dog, and then human. He shot quick glare at the disobedient Eagle, before turning back to Lights with a straight face and wishing that he had someone better to work with.
One immature bubbly woman, and one disobedient cretin. Great.

Lights grinned. So, she had the uptight but generally pleasant Gabriel, the friendly Animagus Adler (that sounded catchy), and perfectionist Richard. Lights decided for it to be her duty to make him smile. Just once. Now, how to do that ... I'll ask Ethan this afternoon. He'll hopefully have a few ideas. And those thoughts made Lights feel extra happy.
She's just a happy, happy person today.
OOC: I'll give Richard some credit, he seems to be trying really hard to annoy Lights! Or is it the other way around ...

Adler changed himself back to a man. (Hahahaha..) He noticed that Richard looked unhappy. Maybe because he was jealous? Or he didn't like being a Security officer? Maybe...
"Pretty nice to work with you all, Richard and.. Light." He tried to remembered the woman's name. So. here they are. A cheerfull girl named Light and a cold man named Richard.
"So, how long you learn to be an animagus, Light?" asked him calm.
The team would be nice.

Working internally wasn't so bad right now. Especially considering all the stuff with the Cult... blah. That was where he would help train the new officers to look out closely for the suspicious activity that was Cult related. Or hopefully he would be able to point it out to them anyway.

Lights smiled. "It's Lights - you forgot the 's' on the end." She wasn't annoyed, but rather amused. "Nice to work with you too, um ..." she could remember it ... "Adler." Yep, there it was! Tip of her tongue!
And they'd arrived there. Becoming an Animagus. Lights swallowed, choosing her words carefully. "My dad taught me when I was 7. He did most of it, I think. I ... I can't remember much." Except pain, she added silently. A lot of pain. "He wasn't the nicest dad," she explained. Understatement of the millennia. Lights grinned to cover her emotions, like she always did. "There's so much freedom in being a dog - except with that patting problem." Lights winced jokingly. "Little kids just can't keep their hands off the cute doggie."
And then she remembered her awesome news! The news she'd been meaning to tell at least someone today! "I got married yesterday!" she blurted out, beaming. "I'm not Lights Salamander anymore!" And yet, that was the name she'd given to the Wand Weigher that morning ... But really, Lights was too happy to be worried about that right now. She'd deal with it tomorrow.

Richard walked over to the other man and put his hat on the filing cabinet. With a small chuckle he walked over to the other man. "Certainly am sir!" he blurted out, smiling and putting his wand in his front pocket.
Don't Cross the Book | who turned out the | Lights Lennox
Lights walked into the Security Office. Another day, another bore. And speaking of that ... Lights unfolded the memo she'd gotten about the protest against Borr. Hmm, she could go to that. But not right now. She'd been up all night with her restless three-year-old twins Ezekiel and Bellissa, only snatching an hour's sleep before going to work. Lights slumped into a chair and put a hand in front of her mouth to cover a yawn. She loved her children, but they were so very irritating when they wouldn't sleep ...
Lights' head dropped down onto the desk as she suddenly fell asleep.
Aleka walked into the ministry a new woman. Well, kind of, if you consider being engaged a new woman. Which she did. She didn't mind the floo network, the accidental gum on the bottom of her shoe(which she had gotten off..), the cold shower she had taken because her hot water wasn't working, she didn't care that,as a new worker, she knew no one, and had no IDEA where to go!, or the fact that her favorite heels had a newly broken heel. None of that mattered, she was engaged and she had a fiancé!! Oh how she LOVED that word!! She walked in confidently, flaunting the ring like a proud mother. She had a big announcement to make. "everyone," she said so that everyone could hear, "I am engaged!!" she said and showed everyone her ring! How exciting!

Adler entered the security office with cool face. Actually he was still confused to decide which one did he choose. Still being a security officer or continue his study in Russia. He saw two ladies were there, Lights and the other who was not known. He found Lights was asleep.
"EHEM.." He cleared his throat. Hope she would be awake. Falling asleep in work-hours? Not good.

Another women was shouting that she was engaged. Althought he didn't know the woman, he complimented her.
"Congratulations, young Lady." said him in cool smile.

Gabriel was beginning to get a headache. No sooner had he told off Lights for transforming while at work, than Adler went and did the same. "Adler!" he snapped, making a grab for the Eagle and just missing. He wasn't in the mood now to care if the claws got him. "I know you are both new to the Ministry, but please do as I say at all times!"
He rubbed his temples a bit as he turned to look at Blaise and Richard. At least THEY were behaving themselves. And to answer the formers question: "If you think you can handle a possible sighting of Borr, then by all means take the upper levels. If not, I can do those," he chuckled lightly. To be honest, he had to be everywhere, as the Head, so he wasn't going to object if his event officer wanted to take the lower levels.
"Everybody listen now please!" Gabriel clapped his hands together to get their attention. "Adler and Richard, you are going to go with Blaise here, and he will show you around some of the rest of the Ministry - most importantly where you will be patrolling for the rest of the day. So please do as he says, I've appointed him as my deputy for today. Lights, you're with me." She seemed the most impulsive and in need of a firm, bossy, hand. "Any questions before we leave?"
