"Thank you, sweetheart." Desi answered and smiled back, taking his wand and putting it away before heading to the lifts.

Sapphira's eyes widened. First off was that weird smiling man. Now this one call her sweetheart. She repositioned her wand, which was in her pocket, into a more reachable place.
"The next person who calls me sweetheart, smiled at me weirdly and FLIRT will be cursed," she mumbled sternly, hoping that he will hear her.

Sapphira followed her eyesight...which goes straight to the machine. She's interested, she thought, and smiled. She continued doing her job and when she's finished she gave the wand back.

"So, you're interested in the machine, huh?" without thinking, she blurt out her thoughts.

Sapphira smiled, remembered on her first day of work here. She was so nervous.
"Hello, in this Security Checkpoint you are going to register your wand so it could, err, be in the Ministry's list." she stumbled across that last 5 words, unsure of what to answer. "Anyways, may I borrow your wand for a minute, please?"

Erik nodded, a little puzzled. He pointed at his wand which he had already handed over and was now resting on the desk in front of Sapphira. "I already put it right there." He smiled weakly.

Esme's dark eyes finally moved from the machine to the woman who held out her wand. "Thank you." She said as she accepted the wand.

Tucking it into her jeans pocket, she smiled and nodded. "It looks rather interesting...how do the mechanisms work if you don't mind me asking?" Esme was a curious one by nature, though she had never seen anything like this machine.

"Ooops, sorry," Sapphira apologized.
She put the details in the card, then turned her eyes to the man. Again.
"Err, what's the core, length and wood?" she said uncomfortably.

"Well, if I change these buttons here," she pointed, demonstrating with her own wand, "it will change the core, length, and wood. Then, it's going to be registered in the list of the Ministry Employees' wands..." Pretty much like that.

Erik smiled politely as Sapphire took the wand and did her job. "13 inch Sturdy Rosewood, Dragon Heartstring Core." He said clearly and quickly.

Esme peered at the buttons on the machine as the woman demonstrated. "That's pretty neat!" She exclaimed. Magic was already interesting enough, but technology was even cooler. Hence why she liked all of her forensic instruments.

"Thanks for showing me that. I really appreciate it."

"Okay," Sapphira mumbled as she wrote down the details. She took the wand out of he compartment and return it to its master.
"Here you go, sir."



"It's okay!" said Sapphira. It was nice helping people, gives you that feeling.

Erik smiled and accepted his wand back, tucking it into it's compartment in his sleeve. "Thank you very much." He said cheerfully and moved on towards the lifts.

"You're welcome."
Sapphira smiled. Nice guy, she thought.

Lights smiled brightly at the Wand Weigher at the desk. "Hi! Having a good day?" She placed her wand carefully on the desk. It was her pride and joy, her wand. In pretty good condition, too. "I'm Lights," she introduced quickly, hoping to make another friend here.

"I certainly am," Spphira said with a smile. "And I'm Sapphira."
Saph accepted Light's wand and placed it in the compartment.
"May I have the length, core, and wood please? And your Department, Full name, and reason for being here?"

"13 inches, black walnut, and dragon heartstring core," recited Lights with an easy smile. "Lights Salamander, Magical Law Enforcement, I'm a Security Officer there." She pointed over to the Security Office. "I've come for work. Sapphira's a great name," she added. "Really pretty, elegant."

Spphira changed the buttons on the compartment and wrote down the details.
"Uhh, thanks," she said. That was the first time she had been told that.

After practically running over several others ministry workers as she tried to get to work on time Divinity Wellheart stepped up to the Security check point and made sure to have her wand ready to present to the MLE worker waiting to inspect her wand before she could continue on up to the meeting room to work on plans for the foodcourt that was to be added in the atrium.

Sapphira almost dozed off when somebody called her. It seemed like eons before somebody came up there after a while.

"Sorry," she apologized. "Can I please have your name, department, wand details and reason of being here, please?"

" Divinity Wellheart, Maintenance, 11" Hawthorn,dragon heart string,bendy." Vinnie said matter of factly.

Sapphira put the details inside the card, changed somebuttons in the compartment and returned her sight to the woman in front.
"And I believe that you came here to work?" She smiled.

" Yes, Ma'am. I'm here for work. In fact to help plan the new food court to be added to the Ministry. " Divinity smiled back.

A new food court? she thought. Whoa. Borr must be out of his mind.

"O-okay," she wrote that down before continuing, "Here's your wand back, and now you may go to, err, there."

" Thank you. Have a good day. " said Divinity as she put her wand back in it's place. Then she walked toward her work station.

Was Borr out of his mind?? She thought. A new food court?? Seriously? She decided to just snap out of it and concentrate on the next person. Which hasn't come.

Kensi practically strolled into the Ministry. New Job. Excitement. Yay...?

The new employee didn't really know what to do...it was much different than the Ministry in the States. She did have her wand out, though, and knew she had to present it for weighing...? Right? RIGHT?

She glanced at the woman who was on duty, and shot her a smirk and raised her eyebrows as if to say What am I supposed to do?

"Hi!" Sapphira said cheerfully. She studied the woman in front of her a bit, trying to guess what department this newbie is in.

"Uhm, can you fill up this card while I borrow your wand for the weighing, please?"

Kensi nodded pleasantly at the woman. She slipped her wand carefully from her pocket and set it gently on the counter. Her eyes glinted. "It's an American wand," she said, her raspy voice also American. "Not Ollivanders." She just wanted to make sure the lady KNEW, okay?

Kensi tapped her long fingernails on the desk, but retained a pleasant smile. For now.
