different timeline, yeah? or not. :3 It felt good to be back here. Back in London. Back in her old apartment. Back in a country that spoke English as a first language. Back in the Ministry. Back outside a door that still belonged to the same person it had two years prior. Alysson smiled softly to herself, pushing back a strand of hair that had got loose. She waited a couple of seconds more, glancing down at the folder in her arms, before finally raising her hand to knock on the door. She was back a little earlier than expected but had sent Wesley a note just yesterday that she would be back today. So he wouldn't be ALL too surprised to find her waiting outside his office. |
we'll do a different timeline ;) Quote:
"Come in," the Law Enforcement Head called out gruffly as he leaned over his engraved desk calendar. |

Her lips curled up into a slightly amused smile when she heard him call her inside almost grumpily. Opening the door to peek inside at first, Alysson smiled before walking into the office fully. She closed the door behind her without looking back, her eyes resting on Wesley instead. "I'm so glad you haven't changed in the past two years." She commented with a small grin as she walked up to the desk to place the report on it, placing her hands on top of it softly. It really was good to be back. |
um sorry this took a month D: Quote:
"Good to see you." In one piece. He rose from his desk and gestured for her to sit. "And welcome back." Wes held out his hand for |
'tis fine. No worries. You're busy. <3 A beard? Alysson had noticed that upon entering of course but hadn't been entirely sure if Wesley was aware of the extra facial hair too. Who knew, maybe he'd spent the last few days in the office without a chance of taking a look in the mirror or something. "Goes well with your office." She commented with a small grin, her eyes resting on a couple of objects in Wesley's office at random. Really, not much had changed. Nonetheless, it was just a little bit weird being back here. A good kind of weird. "You too." Her smile widened when he looked up and she moved the report across the desk before taking his hand and giving it a firm shake. And it really WAS good to see him too. She'd missed this. A lot. All of it. "Thanks." And then once she'd taken the offered seat, she added, "It feels good to be back." Definitely. Being around people she knew and cared about. Being HERSELF around those people. |
"Thank you," Wes replied gruffly, if not a bit proudly, as he gestured for her to have a seat. He could rock a beard, see, AND make it match his decor. That took talent. He settled back into his own seat and started browsing through the report at his leisure. "So, this is closed, yes? You'll be wanting something new to work on?" She'd said it was good to be back, so he was assuming she meant back at work. Who had personal lives around level two? Pshhhhh. |
thank you for not making me talk about the mission. xD Leaning back in her seat a little, Alysson crossed her legs, her eyes slowly wandering around the office again. "Mhm." She hummed, momentarily distracted by something behind Wesley. "Yes, yes it is." And she was quite glad it was too. While it had been quite interesting to be abroad, it was really good to be back too. Plus, it had been work so it wasn't like she'd had a lot of time to enjoy herself and go our or something. Her full attention back on her boss now, Alysson's lips curled up into an almost amused smile. No time for a break, right? Back to work meant back to work. "I'm all yours." Which meant that he could give her whatever he had in mind for her to do. She was ready. |
xD I gotchu "Great. So here's what you missed," Wes tossed a recent copy of the Daily Prophet her way. "I'd like you to watch over de Talone for the next few days and then bring 'er into the courtroom when we're ready for her. No funny business. I'd assign this to Dacs or Emily since they know more about the criminal woman, but one's testifying and the other's rounding up witnesses. So this should be an easy way for you to ease back into work." Plus, he trusted Alysson, so he was sure this would be a piece of cake for her. As for after that... "We'll have to talk about this Gringotts case and Hogwarts mess later..." Wes moved to stand up from his desk. "But for now, you can hang around the offices and the holding cells. I'm sure I'm not the only one around here who's missed you." He winked. |
Alysson leaved through the newspaper with great interest, the main stories of course catching her attention. De Talone. Mhm. She nodded slowly when he gave her the assignment, her eyes resting on the article on the upcoming trial a little longer. Wow. That woman was...something. Not that that scared her or anything but it was almost impressive what she had done. In a sick and twisted sort of way. Gringotts business. Hogwarts mess. Hazel eyes back on Wesley's face Alysson threw him a curious look. But later. Yes. Or she could just ask the others for more details now and such. Getting up from her seat when he did, Alysson nodded again. "Alright." She gave him a smile which turned wider and wider into a grin when she heard his next words. "Aw, I missed you too. And everyone else of course. I guess there are new employees too?" Probably. Hopefully none of the existing ones had left. |
