MoM Swag Bag Giveaway and Raffle
|

Alexander wasn't too interested in the freebies. As the Minister of Magic, he had access to all the keychains and quills he could possibly need. He was, however, extremely interested in one of the prizes just laying out on that table, waiting for him to feast his eyes upon. He approached the table and read the tag beneath the prize. Quote:

Raffle Was this stuff free? Mariel took a sweeping glance around the tables. It said free anyway, she shrugged to herself and walked over to where the items were laid out. The young woman hoped she did not look greedy, but she could use most of this! And she took one of everything.. even the grow your own warts kit. She figured her nephew, Ethan, might get a kick out of it. She placed everything into her charmed purse and grabbed a few of the coupons as well. Mariel then wandered over to the raffle table. Her eyes quickly took in the prizes being offered. While she would love a chance at any of them, the brunette's eyes lingered the longest on that broom. What were the odds that she'd win that? Probably not likely, she figured, as there were a ton of people at the orientation.. but she couldn't win it if she weren't in it. Mariel pulled one of the tickets from the machine and quickly scrawled her name on it before dropping it in the box. Crossing fingers! |
raffle Rylan had found the merchandise section pretty quickly as he had been wandering around. He went to check it out with the thought of buying something. There weren't many people as of now so he quickly recognized that the man near the table was none other than the Minister himself. He should greet right? Didn't want to lose his job for being rude.... "Hello Minister" he said politely and gave the man a nod before he looked at the various items on the table. It seemed to be the usual merchandise stand with buttons and hats t-shirts but he wasn't sure if he would actually NEED any of it. His dark eyes landed on the coupons and he became mildly interested. They could come in handy right? How much would they be? But before he could decide he saw another employee pulling a ticket from a machine and his interest sparked. He moved to the machine as well, said a quick "Hello" to the woman and pulled a ticket out. He then grabbed the quill beside the machine, wrote his name on it and dropped it in the box. Now wait right? |
Raffle He decided to have a look round and came across some boxes where free things were being given away, he had a look around at what was in the boxes. Nothing that interested him really but he then came across some raffle items that immediately interested him. He did like the look of that broom, with handle nice and slim. Not many brooms were like that nowadays but it was good to see that some still were. Maybe he would enter the raffle and win himself a broom, oo maybe even this quill! Oh wow it was a Phoenix Feathered Quill and of a good quality feather too! He really wanted that now, well it was a toss up between the broom and quill. Mmm well he would just try for the broom, he was leaning towards the broom more at this moment So he went to the stand where there there was a box and a raffle ticket machine next to it, he took one more look at the broom. If he wanted that he had try for it, and so he pulled out a ticket. Taking the quill and dipping it in ink he wrote his name on 'Tyler Jacobs' and he put it into the slot box and put down the quill, well.. he had done it now he had to wait to see if he would win that broom or the quill. Though he would really love the broom, just taking that baby out and flying on it. His own broom was quite old now and he was in need of a new one, this could be his chance at a new broom. He then walked around, he decided to stick around and see the results of the raffle ticket, hoping that he win the broom. |
raffle :) Hershey had wandered along, unsure just where to go next. There were so many directions she could go and things she could see and people she could talk to it was just crazy! Eventually, a group of tables caught her eye and she stepped up to examine their contents. Ah. Free stuff. Free stuff was the best kind of stuff! As she perused, she spotted the raffle tickets and decided to try out a bit of that legendary McKenna luck she supposedly had inherited. Hershey signed her name to one of the tickets and placed it inside the box with a flourish. There. Perhaps she would win something! That was an exciting prospect! |
Raffle Jade wandered over to the Swag Bag Giveaway and Raffle section. Despite everyone here, she had no idea what to do and well getting freebies was always awesome. She collected her freebies and took a look at the items offered in the raffle. She loved candy and sweets so she would love the basket of assorted candies and treats. Well she had nothing to lose as she pulled a raffle ticket and wrote down her name Quote:

Raffle Kyle Tanner walked her way to the raffle table and glanced at the coupons available. As she glanced further along the table her eyes grew even more bloodshot and dried further and further. The raffle looked amazing and was quite possibility the exact amount of chance and luck that she needed. Too bad no brains were on the market for being sold? She thought frowning just slightly as she realized what she had thought about. She did NOT want to be hungry and she wasn't. Maybe mungos was wrong? She wondered fearfully bit her lip and ran her hand through her hair. She eyed the assorted quills and felt a strong pang that she wanted new, stronger, better quills always seemed better. She grabbed a raffle ticket and held onto it. |

"Greingoth! Dude... That broom is WICKED cool!" Ian said from behind the minister. "Think we need to test it?" He asked and then quickly said, "I do! I totally think we need to fly around to demonstrate the broom's handling... The Greingoth Grip! DUDE! We'd all like to see how it handles! I mean I wouldn't want to win it if it didn't handle right." |
Text Cut: CassiopeiaAKTF Alexander had still been studying the broom when he heard somebody speak to him. He looked at the broom a bit longer, having trouble tearing himself away from it, and then turned his position to face the man. "Hello, Mr...," he said, and then he paused. "I apologize." He extended his hand. "Minister Alexander Greingoth, and you are--?" Sure, he was the Minister, but it was sort of outrageous to think he's know EVERYBODY in the Ministry of Magic. Text Cut: Droo ...and then Alexander heard that unmistakable voice that could only belong to one person--his childhood best friend. Well, besides Hecate, that is. Nobody could really ever equal out to her. Ian Amoroso. He'd have to say after all these years, he guessed the old man was still his best friend. If a Slytherin ever actually had a best friend. "Amoroso," he said, pretending to quietly scold the man. "Try to take it down a notch or two, eh? I hear the Minister of Magic of Great Britain is here today..." He laughed but shook his head at the same time. "Noooo. Man, we can't just do that." He looked around the room then leaned in. "It'd be something, though, wouldn't it? I dare you to submit a raffle ticket." |
Raffle Melissa walked in a noticed that people were buying tickets for the raffle. She looked at the items that were being raffled and decided that she would just participate and if she did win anything, would donate it to somebody who wanted it. She pulled a ticket from the dispensing machine and wrote down her name. Quote:

Raffle! Ellis noticed that some people were buying raffle tickets. 'Oooh Raffle!' she thought - she has had good luck so far in the orientation and she wasnt going to lose anything. "Eh, might as well" she said to herself before she went to the little table with the tickets and box etc. She got a ticket and put her name on it, in bright letters: ELLIS WESLEY, kissed it for good luck and put it in the box. |

Thrilled beyond words, the twenty-three-year-old marched towards the duo. "Alexander Greingoth!" Katherine blurted out without any forethought. And then it struck her. "Mr. Greingoth, Sir." Nope, not good enough. This time, she actually planned out her words mentally. "I mean, Minister of Magic, Sir." Whaaat? She should probably hightail it out of there as the embarrassment would be too difficult to bear once the vivacity died out. "And you, Sir Ian Amoroso." As if the girl's prior display of foolishness wasn't enough, Katherine plucked the hem of her dress and did a curtsey. "Someone stop me!" Cheeks flushed pink, a small, dubious smile passed her lips. Will she get fired over this? It'd be unfair. |
Raffle Drawing #1 Last Chance! Stepping up to the raffle box, Gavin smiled around at those around the table. Watching as another person put their ticket into the box he wished them luck with a smile and reached over picking up the Phoenix-Feathered Quill setting it on the table beside him. "LAST CHANCE TO PUT IN YOUR RAFFLE TICKET FOR THE DRAWING!" he called out to all those in the room. |
Raffle! Aubrie walked towards the raffle table looking at the prizes and free gifts there. As she was walking she heard a man, she thought he was someone important a Head of Department, calling that it was the last chance for a raffle ticket. Aubrie hurried over and pulled a ticket and grabbed a quill quickly writing her name on it before dropping it in the box. After all the prizes looked very nice! |
raffle! Alex wasn't even sure why she showed up to work today. It was merely orientation day for the new employees and she was NOT new. They didn't do something like this when she was new though; just some little meet-and-greet on her own department level. Which worked out fine and dandy, but this, was ... gazing in wonder at the decor, she meandered over toward the giveaway table, as she heard someone make a last call for the first raffle. Peering at the list of prizes, she shrugged. Oh why not? It's not like it cost me anything . . . she thought, scribbling "Alexandra Hadley" onto a piece of paper and dropping it in the box. She then went and perused the freebies on the rectangular table, slipping a parchment notepad and two quills into her tote. Yay for free stuff! |
Winner is Picked! Grinning as a few more came quickly over to put their names into the raffle, Gavin turned the raffle box around and lifted the lid glancing around the room as he dug into the box. Pulling one of the slips from the box he called out "ELLIS WESLEY!". Smiling at the those waiting to see if their name was called, he waited for the Ellis to appear to claim their Phoenix Feather Quill. "More drawings are yet to come." he assured those around him, as he turned the box around again so people could put in more raffle tickets. |
Raffle Meh. He was too good for this. Too important. So why was he doing it? Because he just needed SOME kind of luck today. Charles pulled a raffle ticket and stood there, staring at it. WHAT HAD HE DONE? HE DIDN'T NEED IT. His eye twitched slightly as he realised Gavin was doing the prizes. Meep. |
Ellis was drinking a drink she had gotten from the buffet table when she suddenly heard her name, she turned around and noticed that they had started the raffle and her name was picked. She wanted to seem professional so did a little praise and jump in her mind and walked towards the front where the man stood holding up her ticket. She went up to him to claim her prize " I'm here - wow thank you so much! I knew it was my lucky day. " |
Beaming at Ellis as she appeared to claim her prize "Congratulations!" he said handing her the Phoenix Feather quill. Looking up as another person entered a ticket into the box and noting it was Charles he smiled and nodded waiting a little bit longer before pulling the box towards him again. Digging into the box his eyes drifted over the prizes remaining. "Kyleigh Tanner" he called out as he stepped over to the prizes and picked up the basket of assorted candies and treats. |

That sounded great to her. The quill had already been yoinked right from under her nose soooo chocolate it was. Chocolate cover brains sounded good. She made a little grumbly-sound and walked over. The sound was ignorable. The fact that she nearly went flying into the wall wasn't. Righting herself - hair tousled about she walked over to the man with the box and smiled. "Thank you - " she smiled. Well obviously he knew her name but she didn't really know his. A lopsided grin on her face - drool slowly starting to accumulate at the edge of her lip and the constant shalurping sound of her swallowing back the drool wasn't attractive. Heck her red-eyed weirdness wasn't attractive as it either. She was just being plan old toqué, heck she was as batty as a fruitbat that lost its sonar skills. Or one of those absolutely drop dead insane bats that leave the cave during the daytime and FWAMP deader than a deadman in his coffin instantly. (toqué=batty) |
OMG xD I so did not call this next one but the picker chose him LOL Quote:
Swallowing his eyes were still wide as he passed her the basket "Well congratulations and enjoy!" Pulling another paper from the box he called out "CHARLES TAYLOR" OOPS, ok he was standing right there, that was his new ambassador wasn't it? Lifting the Moontrimmer 1500 he gave him a smile. |

"sh'aank you sho vewy mush" she smiled. Her brain wasn't working. "I'mb fine" she managed to speak rather poorly. Reaching forward she grabbed the bag and smiled again. "I'm just sh-shocked I didn't go BOOM through the wall" she was right that was shocking. But thinking of brains had made her do that. Alright so she had a lot of chocolate to devour and a good deal of lusting over brains that she needed to avoid. "I'm - uh bye" she turned and trotted off holding her box of candy close to her. She wasn't feeling well exactly now so the prospect of some delicious food sounded good. She'd check the tables but first she wanted to make amends for wanting to bite Simon earlier. She cast a quick hot-air charm on her face. Her mouth was finally dry. Thank heavens. |

His eyes snapped to Gavin when he practically had his own name yelled down his ear. He looked from the ticket, to Gavin and back to the ticket again. Seriously? He wasn't playing a trick on him? He looked down at his shoe-less feet with a sigh, shrugged and went to collect his prize. Oooh, it was the pretty broom! He didn't NEED shoes anymore, he had a BROOM. A broom that went broom. |
