"It's ok. I'm not technically just the Minister's assitant, I'm really sort of available to help out anyone who needs me." That was what he was told at least. The Minister had yet to send him to the other departments yet. He had mainly just been getting drinks for those on level one. A media liason, he had really liked them when he was back in power of Level six. He had been interviewed for the Daily Prophet a few times back then. "Oh well it's nice to meet you Natasha. Do you enjoy your job?" he said sitting down and taking one of the donuts with sprinkles on top for himself. |

Armen was the Ministers assistant but also anyone's assistant how did that add up. Confused she asked "So what do you do? Can you fix interviews with the Daily prophet or department heads?" In all honesty she didn't know what an assistant did, she had never had one. Tasha's face brightened as she spoke about her job. "I love my job. It's free and there is never a dull moment. Having a partner to work with is also a bonus. Do you like your job Armen?" |
Quote:
Now that was going to bother him! Wait, he should be listening. What was she talking about? "Huh?" This was embarassing, she was going to think that Armen wasn't listening but he was...sort of. "Oh yeah, I can do pretty much anything the Minister tells me I can. If anyone has a problem with it they will just have to take it up with him." Her job did sound nice, much nicer than his own naturally. "Well that does sound plesant. Talking with the Daily Prophet witches and wizards must be...interesting." The ones he had spoken to during the height of the Cult were definately unique. Now should he tell her straight up how much he hated his job or beat around the bush and sugarcoat it? "It's different but I guess it keeps me busy." That was about as nice as he was going to put it. |

"I went on an interesting air balloon date. My sister Isobel urged me to take part. I guess she doesn’t like me being single." Tasha contemplated out into the air. Not really following what he was saying she asked confused "So you can help me out with important tasks if I should request it?" Grimacing at the mention of the daily prophet Tasha mumbled diplomatically "Yes it’s interesting. Almost always, you never know what they will write or not." She was glad that the Prophet didn’t employ any Rita Skeeter’s at the moment she had heard one too many stories about how that journalist had twisted stories. Oh, she had touched a sore spot. Armen didn’t like his job. Guardedly she asked still curious "What did you do before you became the ministers aheum assistant?" |
Quote:
He shrugged. "Um sure, if you request it I can certainly try to help." He would do pretty much anything to get him off of level one serving drinks. "What all sorts of things do you--Wait, Isobel? Is your sister Isobel Montague?" It had hit him like a sack of dragon dung. Was Natasha Izzy's sister. It made sense she had mentioned the Warringtons when they were together. His old position? "I was the Department Head of Magical Transportation down on level 6." He said a tad bit sourly. He had been fired after the Cult was defeated. He could have sworn partnering with them would have had more benefits and would have lasted longer. |
Anyone who wold like a chat... :) Vicky needed a break and decided to head to the break room. Righting up paperwork was quite draining, as the realignment of the ministry has been quite tedious. She headed into the break room with a snack she took from home which was an apple pie and a bottle of water. She headed to one of the couches and sat down to devour the pasty treat. |

After a quick stop in the small kitchen to make a cup of cocoa for himself (shh, people didn't have to know that he didn't like coffee; it could have been... coffee with a LOT of milk), he made his way to the break room and collapsed into the nearest couch as gentle as he could, careful not to spill anything on his pants. Not that he couldn't make a swish and a flick with his wand and clean them, but... it would burn. It wasn't until he was comfortably seated and half his face hidden behind the large cup that he noticed he had company. "I thought I was alone," he chuckled. Women could be quiet if they wanted, couldn't they? Or maybe his cocoa was simply too delicious and got his full attention. But still... where were his manners? "Hello," he finally said, smiling at the slightly familiar woman. He knew they never met officially, but he knew her somehow... Maybe she'll enlighten him. |

When he looked up at her, she smirked and quirked her eyebrow at his comment. Then he said, "Hello.". Vicky not one to be rude replied, "Hello. I'm Victoria Daniels. And you are?", with a smile. She hadn't met the entire department yet but in due time she would, seeing that she was the Senior Undersecretary. "Which division do you work in?" she asked, as she extended a greeting to a conversation. |

Trying to come back to his senses, he smiled in response when she introduced herself. "It is a pleasure meeting you. I'm Konrad Scherfig." As for where he worked... "I work over there," he nodded towards the doors that led to the front desks area. "One of the secretaries." Which was exactly what he needed. A nice, lacking of danger, desk job. Juuust perfect for him. "How about you? You look familiar, but I still can't put my finger on it." Which was a shame, because he ought to have known his workmates, right? But maybe she had some super important job that didn't have anything to do with his paperwork. |

"And don't I enjoy a good cup of cocoa every now and again. Believe me I know what it's like." she said as she caught the shade of colour that appeared on his face."So how long have you been working here?" she asked. |
Quote:
"That's impressive," he said with a smile. He also meant that the job was impressive, not that she worked that much. There surely isn't anything impressive about staying in an office and dealing with... whatever she had to deal with. If he might have blushed a bit earlier, even if he'd never actually admit it, he knew this time that his face turned red. All he needed to do now was to go into the Minister's office and ask him who he was. Great, Konrad. Juuust great. He couldn't help but grin, though, when she mentioned the cocoa. "There's more, if you'd like," he offered, slightly tilting his head towards the kitchen. He made more just in case he'll need it later, but he could share. Her next question, however, was a good one. "I know this sounds lame, but I honestly can't tell exactly." Heh, keep making a fool of yourself. "Two years or so. I believe you joined the Ministry long before I did?" Because, you know, it probably took her some time to become the Senior Undersecretary. |
Anyone? First day on the job - piece of cake. Meeting new people? Now when exactly did you say that fear induced coma would set in. Oh right now sounds good. Really. She was nervous but for some reason as she stepped into the break room her body had decided not to help her when the heel of her shoe decided to break off with a loud snap. "UUUNGH" the awkward sound reverberated from her lips as her bottom smacked quite hard - with a resounding thud into the ground. Blink. Blink. Maybe no one saw that? Even if they hadn't they'd notice the girl sitting on the ground - or the flying bit of shoe soaring through the air. |
SPOILER!!: Kyleigh Rose was making a bit of coffee when she heard a loud THUD behind her. When she turned to see what it was all about, there was a girl on the floor. She couldn't help but giggle. Nothing had really happened today, and so far this was the highlight. Rose took a sip of her coffee and then asked, "you okay?" still smiling a little, she took another sip. |
It was her first day of work, and Victoria was nervous in an exciting way, if that makes sense... Walking into level 1 she was going to head to find the break room. At first she thought it would take her quiet some time to find it, but once she saw it off to the left from the lobby she smiled and headed towards it. Quote:

SPOILER!!: Rose Kyle looked up at Rose as she heard the giggle - it was clear that she hadn't gotten into her new position unscathed. In fact she probably had a following of clumsy followers willing to throw them selves onto the floor with her. No, that was unlikely. She probably just had a gaggle of girls ready to laugh at her at every turn. Because really - who was most likely to fall down a lot - her, who was most likely to break things in the office - her...she didn't mind being laughed at it just wasn't fun. The new Ministry Scribe looked up at Rose and smiled when she asked if she was okay. Blushing she nodded, "Y-yeah I'm alright nothing a good laugh won't fix. I can't believe I just walked in and WHAM on the floor like that - normally its a little more time before I wobble my way to the floor" she chuckled. "I'm Kyleigh Manning - Ministry Scribe" she introduced herself and smiled over to Rose. SPOILER!!: Victoria When she heard another girl walking in it dawned on her that she was still on the ground. Slowly standing up and fixing the heel of her shoe she turned to Victoria and smiled. "Yeah I'm alright - don't know about the shoes though...I think as a general rule I might avoid anything with heels that could break off" she admitted with a little bit of a nervous laugh. "I"m Kyleigh Manning by the way" she smiled over to her it was clear she wasn't in the best position right now - what? Her hip was sore so she was leaning against the table. She just hoped all its table legs were more stable then her shoe's spindle-like heels had been. |
SPOILER!!: Kyleigh Victoria smiled at the girl. Luckily she was alright, otherwise that wouldn't be good. Laughing a little she said, "Maybe that would be a good idea." For Victoria heels were no big deal, she was even wearing them now, but then again thats just her. "It's nice to meet you Kyleigh, I'm Victoria Summit," she said with a little wave of hello. Victoria was always worried about meeting people and if they would like her. Once she put it into deep thought though, she realized if they didn't like her it was there problem and she was who she was. No way would she change to fit in or be who others wanted her to be. That was one of Victoria's main problems today before work. So far, its been going pretty good, even if she only meet Kyleigh so far. Walking over to a counter she looked for something to drink. While just getting some coffee she turned to Kyleigh with a small smile and asked, "Are you new here?" |
Quote:
"Its a pleasure to meet you Vicotria - if you want you can call me Kyle, Leigh, or Ky...anything really" she smiled softly. Yeah she went by Kyle more though - she was indeed a strange, strange girl. "New? Ah, yes I am - I'm the new Ministry Scribe...well one of the two" she smiled over to her. Seeing as Victoria asked if she was new - it was clear she was new as well. "What do you do here in the Minister's office?" She asked smiling over to Victoria it would be nice to find out what future possible friends did for work. |
Quote:
"I'm new as well," she said with a little chuckle. "I'm one of the Human Resource Officers," she told Kyle. It would get some time getting used to knowing what job everybody did while she was here. THis was her first serious job. Well every job was serious, but she always worked in a cafe or some place. "What do you do here again," she asked wondering what Kyle was going to do in the Minister's office. |
Quote:
It did sound fun actually though maybe not as fun as "I'm a scribe - I have to follow the minister and the officials around and take notes on everything that is said...or so thats what I think it is so far" she smiled over to Victoria. She was nervous, yes it was her most important job and she didn't want to mess it up. That - and she didn't want to work along side the man her aunt and boyfriend had called the ministry gopher. "Its nice to meet another fellow new Ministry official she smiled over to her. |
Quote:
Smiling Victoria said, "Yes I'm pretty excited," not to mention nervous. "You job sounds so much fun! Being a scribe will be a joy," she said truthfully. So many jobs all over the Ministry of Magic sounds fun. Nodding with agreement she said to Kyle, "It is nice. I began to worry how long it would take until I would meet someone one-on-one and not as a group." With there being more than one Human Resource Officer it might be a little harder meeting someone one-on-one. |
Quote:
Or maybe someone tripped her. "Not very fun..." She said, taking another sip of her coffee. "I'm Rose Cartwright, secretary..." Sure it wasn't as exciting as a scribe, but Rose didn't mind. "So you're new here? I don't think I've seen you around before." She said, walking over to Kyleigh to help her off the ground. |
Quote:
"So - what do you do as a Human Resources Officer?" She asked smiling over to her - she couldn't help but chuckle when Vicky said that being a scribe sounded like it would be fun. "Ah - it should be easy I think...its probably because I'm officially trained as a secretary and can write really fast" she chuckled. Though sometimes syntax was a problem for her. Quote:
"Its a pleasure to meet you Rose" she smiled over to her. "Ah yes - I am new and thank you for the help" she smiled up at her. |

Preston entered into the break room full of energy and excitement for the new part of his life. It was his first job in the wizarding world, one of which he was very thankful to have. He couldn't deny though that he was feeling just a little bit nervous for the day ahead, like any other seventeen year old put in the Ministry of Magic for their very first official job as an adult. It was more than a little nerve wracking for the clumsy boy. Deciding that maybe a little food could help settle down his nerves, Preston headed for the cupcakes, one of his weaknesses. As he reached out to take one his hand knocked a bowl of sauce for the shish kabobs, spilling some of the contents onto the table. Good job buddy, you've already made a mess. He thought to himself as he carefully cleaned his mess up with a combination of napkins and his wand. |
This was all very new. Rowan had been up since 6 AM, sprucing himself up in preparation. You could literally smell the product on his hair from only standing a foot away from him. But he was going for a more casual look, so he left his full formal attire at home, and arrived in what he liked to call 'a casual-cool-boy suit' Hands in his pockets, Rowan made his way to the break room, to meet his fellow coworkers. Scared? Very much so. People. Agghh... There was food, though. And that was certainly a great comfort. He strode over to one of the tables and picked up a sandwich. He, of course, sent hundreds of smiles to each employee. |
