She shook her head then "well, it have nothing to do with it though….so erm.. I'm fine" she grinned. She had no idea why is she nervous, spilling water something happens regularly it's not a big deal.

Thankfully, Konrad filled the glass for her, Victoria accepted it "Thank you very much" she said gratefully as she took the glass and drank it. And the good news that her hands weren't shaking. She really appreciated that kind act of him.

Victoria then put the glass on the table and cleared her throat "You know I don't usually get nervous like that" she said without looking at Konrad "maybe because I didn't get much sleep yesterday" she told him. Well, it's true but she didn't know what does this have to do with that!

She was... fine?

But she didn't look very... fine. But Konrad had to believe her. He didn't want to insist too much, to upset her or... maybe get on her nerves. He could get a trophy when it came to this kind of things. So... the man didn't say anything. He just gave her a smile.

"You're welcome," he managed to mumble, still being worried about Victoria. At least she seemed to feel slightly better.

Uhh... nervous? Did he miss anything?

Aww, poor thing. "Promise me that you'll go straight to bed when we're finished today," Konrad said, laughing a bit nervously. He didn't actually feel amused, since he was still worried. But she'll be fine, riiight?

Victoria just hates when people pity her. But he was just being nice, right? "Yeah, I promise " she smiled. Well, that isn't something you call a good first impression but it's not like he's gonna judge her out of this….. right?

Victoria wants to do one thing when she get home before sleep, she's gonna punish her brother for making her staying up after midnight last night "You know it's my brother who kept me awake, he needed someone to chat with, and look how did it turn out" she laughed. It's easier to blame her brother than herself "Well I don't think he meant to, but he can easily survive without sleeping, dunno how but he just can" she said, she always admires that of her brother.

Victoria stood up and looked around her, she then looked at Konrad "Can you see any windows ?" she asked him curiously as she headed to one of the windows she just spotted "You know the weather is really nice today, do you like it?" she asked looking out the window.

Ah, she had a brother to blame. Good for her. Hehe. "I seriously can't stay awake later than... let's say eleven o'clock." In the evening, of course. Not morning. So... yes, Konrad loved sleeping. You know how cats sleep most of the time? Maybe he got that from Klaus. It was probably contagious.

Well, it was good to see that Victoria could stand up properly, so she surely was alright. And she was... looking for windows? Eh, never mind. She found what she was looking for.

"Hmm?" The man mumbled, then took a look outside the window. "Oh. I love this snowy weather, and everything that has to do with winter," he said, grinning. Yup. That was the perfect weather for him.

Those are two things they agree on, first they both sleep at about eleven and second they both like winter "Me too! Winter is my favorite season" she confirmed "Especially the rain, every time It rains I go out to walk under the rain" She told Konrad "It's so……." She paused trying to find the right word "Mmm…. Refreshing I guess" she said smiling. She felt that she was going to write a poem or something she better stop talking.

She closed the window and sat on another chair, she crossed her lags. It was silence for a few seconds but Victoria couldn't stand it "So did you start working on the assignment?" she asked him. She didn't really care about this but she silence bothers her. And besides she and Konrad should discuss some work business as they're co-workers.. right?

Well, Konrad was clear though, he likes to work alone, he didn't say so ,but he's like an open book, he's calm. Doesn't talk much. However Victoria thought she could handle her colleague, just like she handles her brother.

Konrad was so happy to hear that someone else's favourite season was winter! Because... most of the people considered him a bit crazy, for not liking the hot weather. Hmm walking in the rain? "I prefer to stay dry," the man said, laughing. But... yes. Victoria was right; it must be refreshing.

The assignment? Oh, the more oxygen thing. "I have a few ideas, actually," Konrad said thoughtfully. "But the main idea is that Mr. Borr needs a lot of plants around him." Seriously. "Maybe we could make some sort of decoration, full of different plants. Even magical, if they're not dangerous." A decoration, so it would look pretty as well. "What do you think?"

Victoria laughed "Well, watching the rain from behind the window isn't bad either" she said. Rain is just beautiful in her opinion .

Well, Konrad's ideas are cool "Yeah, the plants thing probably would be good for him" Victoria said "And you know, if he's feeling like trapped or lack of Oxygen, the reason might not be just that he needs air" she said "Sometimes the decoration makes you feel like this, maybe because his office is full of things. Maybe more space and bright colours could help him" she told Konrad "I was thinking of new carpets, simple bright canvases" she said "Maybe simplifying his decoration would make him feel better" she added.

Rain?

Yup. Rain was alright, if Konrad was inside, completely dry.

Now... see? Everyone needed a woman's idea. Because Victoria's actually made sense. "You're right," he said, nodding in agreement. About the trap thing. Konrad was also thinking that Lord Borr might also need a bigger room, since he wasn't exactly small, but he didn't say that out loud, because it would've been EXTREMELY rude. And... he might even lose his job for saying such a thing. But the minister could not read minds, could he?

Let's hope not.

But anyway. "I suppose we should talk to the others," he pointed out, but then thought that he knew only Victoria. Eh, time to meet new workmates, right?

Victoria was kind used to Konrad's short expressions ,so she was glad he didn't just nod. And to be honest she wasn't very confident about her ideas, but now she is more confident. Although, the first assignment wasn't as she thought it would be. But perhaps it's just like warming up, till the employees get in the zone.

And it might be not..

Victoria nodded "Yup, we should" she said. She tried to remember who she met besides Konrad. Well, there are the two employees who gave her the forms to fill, she didn't know if they count, though.

"How about we drop by, after we finish our shifts?" she offered. She didn't know about him but she was so eager to go there and meet with the others. She ,then, thought that maybe Konrad doesn't want her to come with him. As he seems like the lonely type, so she won't push it. She'll see what he would say, she doesn't mind going there alone but it would be nice if they both go.

"Of course," Konrad said cheerfully. "We'll go then." He was even grateful that Victoria suggested to go together. He wouldn't have felt comfortable facing a lot of strangers all alone. It was good that he had the talkative Victoria. Hehe.

The man also checked his super old watch, well... rather antique, but he liked it, and noticed that a lot of time had passed. "I think we should go back to our desks," he said, pointing his wand at the empty cup to cast a non verbal Scourgify on it, then sent it carefully back in the kitchen. No, he didn't break it this time. "So we wouldn't get into trouble," he added, smiling.

Victoria was wrong then, Konrad didn't mind having company. That was a good thing, she thought, she might have been wrong about him. Anyway, it's just the first time they talk, so she can't judge him.

Victoria ,too, looked at her watch which was glowing "Oh yeah, I guess we should" she watched him sending his cup with a smile and then she stood up "Yeah, we wouldn't want that" she said as she filled the glass with some water and drank it.

She then looked at him ,cleared her throat "lets' get back to work, shall we?!" she said with a formal voice trying to sound like a real secretary.

Konrad couldn't help but chuckle (let's say discreetly), as Victoria had filled another glass with water. Her stomach must be swimming right now. Hehe.

"After you," the man said as he stood up, smiling kindly. He slightly outstretched his arm towards the door, to let her walk first, then left the room, closing the door behind him.

And now, they still had to come up with ideas to get more oxygen for the minister. That was just great.

From far away you can smell the delicious aroma that emits from the break room. When you enter, you can see that Poppy Pricklepot has filled all of the tables with delicious looking food. There's a table with all kinds of sweets and pasties, another with main and side dishes, and a final one with beverages. There are cauldron cakes, cookies, shepherd's pie, cupcakes, assorted candy, biscuits, jars of strawberry jam, and much more in the pink decorated sweets and desserts table. On the main table, there is a variety of foods to choose from, such as roasted chicken, pork chops, stew, beef casserole, fried sausages, turkey sandwiches, vegetables, salad, and more. As for beverages you have butterbeer, gillywater, milk, pumpkin juice, and tea. It looks a banquet, only it's in a breakroom and it's more delicious and prettier looking because Poppy bought made it all. All ministry members are invited to enjoy this delicious meal prepared for them by the Ministry Maintenance and Minister of Magic's Office Departments!

OOC: redifer had this idea and asked me to post, because Poppy is bold enough to do it  This is just an excuse for get together for all the ministry departments so don't feel like you have to touch Poppy's possibly poisoned food. Chitchat away!

redifer 07-12-2011 04:55 PM

XD Luke you're amazing! :D

She entered the breakroom only to find it appeared that a unicorn threw up in here. "What is this?! Medea wasn't sure if this was approved, can anyone just put a luscious buffet in the breakroom?! Well, they had hadn't they. She walked along the tables, inspecting everything. The woman didn't want to touch anything until she got some answers, who was responsible for this?!

mialovesyoulots 07-12-2011 06:46 PM

I agree, this is brilliant, and it gives Lizzie the chance to let her feelings out xD

Lizzie wandered into the break room, intent on finding a cup of coffee and somewhere to relax for her lunch hour away from Poppy and Borr. She was so set on her task that she didn't notice anything different about the room until she sat down. Looking around, she almost felt sick. It was all pink - and it was absolutely vile.

OH MERLIN.

'POPPY PRICKLEPOT!' she yelled, knowing instantly that this had to be her doing. 'What in Merlin's name have you done?!' she demanded, glaring at the stupid woman angrily. Seriously?! She couldn't just waltz in here and do... well, this! It was outrageous! 'Honestly, Ms. Pricklepot, you are getting on my last nerve,' she fumed, all her usual politelness and respect completely gone. 'You cannot simply come in here and do whatever you please! This is a workplace, not your home!'

Poppy raised an eyebrow at the stick-figure. "It's food." She said bluntly. What did this woman think it was, an lacewing fly farm convention? It was, you know, the things people put in their mouth, then chew on, then swallow also known as food. Clearly this paper thin woman didn't eat enough of it and had forgotten what it looked like. "It's delicious, succulent, and extremellyfattening food." She said the last part in a whisper while covering so that the woman wouldn't hear her. Anyway, she should eat some. Poppy gestured to it, trying to get the woman to at least consider eating some. She had put an awful lot of time buying cooking all of it!

Oh, goodness yay here came her bestie to have a cup of tea with her! Oh, wait... She was complaining, yet again. Poppy rolled her eyes as she grabbed a mouthful of cookies and stuffed Lizzie's mouth. There, that ought to shut her up for a while, and help her put some sugar meat on those bones. "You were saying, sweetie?" Poppy giggled and then took a biscuit herself and basically swallowed it with one bite. Like a lady. Poppy flicked her wand and the old record she had set up in the corner of the room began to play a waltz, just what Lizzie wanted to do. Waltz. She grabbed both of Lizzie's hands and began to twirl around the room with her, while she tried to accompany the melody with an awful, screech-like hum. Lizzie was having fun. Maybe not, but Poppy was.

Medea turned on heel to see who came in behind her. "Lizzie, I'm assuming you don't know about this then?" Surely if she wasn't aware what was going on then it wasn't legit. It was Lizzie's job to know everything about everything on Level 1, that's what administrative assistants did right?

But who was she yelling at, or about? "I'm sorry who?" Her brow furrowed as suddenly there was another voice. Turning around yet again she saw .... she saw... what who was this?!

Medea wasn't sure what to make of this woman, she was all pink and cheerful. And definatley off her rocker. "Right, I see that it's food." Medea really wasn't digging this woman's tone. "Who granted you permission to set up all this food." She motioned around the room, "And these disgusting decorations." A sinlge brow was getting dangerously close to disappearing into her hairline.

Wait, what?! Did she just shove cookies in Lizzies mouth? "Lizzie you ok?" It was all happening so quickly. Medea got her wand and held it, pointing at the walking, talking unicorn vomit.

"You will let her go!" Medea was sure Lizzie didn't want to be whirled around the room. Furthermore, if something happens to her who's going to file Medea's random files for her? She certainly wasn't going to do this.

Merlin's beard! Lizzie was having coolies FORCED INTO HER MOUTH! What was going on here?! She couldn't talk! She couldn't express her anger toward Poppy! This was a monstrosity! SHE COULD NOT TALK! She began to chew furiously in an attempt to get rid of the biscuits. She WOULD finish them all and tell Poppy Pricklepot how awful she was!

Urm, now they were waltzing? 'Let go of me!' Lizzie tried to say, but it came as more 'Uhlegome,' thanks to the biscuits. She found herself being pulled around the room. That would have been bad enough, and then Poppy started to hum. Or screech, more like it. This was ridiculous. Pricklepickle had turned the entire workplace into a farce.

'No, not at all' Lizzie said, glaring at Poppy. This was all HER doing. Stupid, stupid woman. She had ruined everything! Lizzie had had no idea whatsoever about this, and if Lizzie didn't know then it certainly wasn't legitimate. Noooooo way.

The blonde arched her perfectly plucked eyebrows at Poppy. Honestly. 'Poppy Pricklepot, of Magical Maintainance,' she told Medea through gritted teeth. The woman was a disgrace to the Ministry. She couldn't imagine why Borr had hired her.

Hmmm. What to think about the food. Obviously it was over the top, space taking and WAY TOO PINK. But, the food itself didn't look that bad. Ohh, Poppy did it. Wow, she was so much fun!

Melanie was already exhausted from her first day of work as she plopped down on a chair. She was awfully hungry so she scanned the room to see what there was to eat. Maybe she'll even make friends soon enough.

Holden grumbled. Shocking, wasn't it?

He had wandered into the break room in need of well, a break. DUH. Why else would anyone be in the break room? Holden sighed. Had he not been raised to be proper, his shoulder's would have been slumped, his head down, shuffling along. But no. He wasn't. He walked with confidence, shoulder's back, chin high. It was who he was. And yes. He was walking like this, toward the break room.

Upon reaching the room itself, he headed toward the refrigerator, in need of he water bottle he had brought for the day. And with it, he sat down at the table just across from the fridge.

Sigh. How boring.

Anyone? Vm if you snag..

Rp setting: Lunch time at 12am

After a hectic morning on her first day of work Natasha retired to the break room to relax and get some food into her system. Her stomach had been grumbling for the last hour and she by definition thought badly on an empty stomach. Heading into the kitchen Natasha started to prepare her lunch; chicken salad complete with pasta and a few vegetables. With the salad all plated up the bland walked over and sat down at one of the tables. Pouring herself a glass of cold water with peach flavor she started to eat.

Bang!

The door to the breakroom was flung open unceremoniously as Armen Recard walked in after being proceeded by a large brown box and another, slightly smaller white box which was considerably flatter. The Gopher set down the boxe of coffee and began to fill up the stock cabinet with the stuff and then sat down the large pastry box full of donuts on the table, he didn't really notice the woman until he did this.

"Oh sorry about that, I didn't figure anyone else was in here."

Natasha was enjoying her warm cup of tea when the door to the break room flung open with a loud bang causing her to spill her tea on her skirt. "Ooooouch hot!" she piped out as got to her feet to stop more tea from damaging her skirt. Putting the teacup on the table Natasha started to clean her skirt with the help of her wand muttering all through the process.

Sort of satisfied with the result she raised her blue eyes to look at the man who had caused the accident in the first place. Shrugging she said looking around "It’s all right..No, not many people visit this place so I can understand why you thought it would be deserted, because usually it is deserted. I go in here when I need some peace and quiet." Gesturing towards the coffee and donuts Natasha asked curiously "Do you work in maintenance?"

Oh, he had made the woman spill coffee on herself? Whoops. Hopefully it wouldn't stain her skirt.

"Well that's a good idea to come and sit in here then." It was definately a necessity to find a quiet place to think when you worked in such a busy place like the Ministry of Magic.

Looking from the donuts to the woman as she asked if he was from Matienance he shook his head and chuckled. "Oh no no. I'm the...Assistant for the Minister Armen Recard." He would not call himself Gopher. "What's your name?"

So far her day had been less than terrific and staining her skirt with coffee was just the tip of what had already been a less than fruitful morning. At the moment Tasha didn't want to hear journalist or Penelope in the same sentance.

"I just wanted to clear my head. Today it feels like the universe is conspiring against me. Who ever came up with the idea of putting owls on all ministry stationary and paper?" She shivered and sipped on her cough not really expecting the man to answer.

Assistant to the Minister!

Choking on her coffee Tasha apologized "Sorry about the maintenance referance. I'm Natasha Warrington, Media Liaison. Pleased to meet you Armen." Okay she had just complained to her bosses right hand man. Perfect could this day get any worse?
