She didn't blink, merely tightened her lips watching.. And then he smiled! OH he smiled! Yes! And that made Ruby smile as well. She was beginning to relax. "Thank you, Great Minister." Maintaining her posture, her right foot occasionally bouncing as she listened.
Nodding as the food court had been mentioned. She was most excited for that opening. And now he was looking at her basket again. Was he hungry, did he not want them anymore? Calm down, Ruby. She quietly inhaled intending to breathe when the major question had been asked. Did she want to head the food court? Ruby's eyes widened.Head the food court? This was too good to be true. All the visions of sweets and goods she had delivered during the picket line would become a daily occurrence now. But she needed to breathe first. "H-head?" She squeaked, before blinking. Her right foot even gave a little kick in the air in surprise. "Oh! T-T-That would be a great honor!" Ruby didn't wish to sound too surprised, no no, she had to maintain her calm as best as possible. For all she wanted to do next was jump out of her seat and sing on top of the Minister's desk for she was on the edge of GLORY! Yes..
Ahem. Clearing her throat to counter to previous squeaking. "And what would my tasks be as Head of the Food court?" Alas, her stutter was missing. She was truly in bliss! Reaching in her purse she took out some parchment and quill in case it were a long list. Always come prepared, no matter the circumstance. Merlin was good to her today.
Great Minister... "Really, Miss Bell. Minister Greingoth is just fine," he assured her. Great Minister made him think of great-grandfather, and that didn't exactly go over well when he thought about it. He studied this woman, and for some reason, he got the impression that if she could, she'd burst right on out of her skin out of excitement. Over what, though? New job maybe?
"Well, we'll be opening the food court soon, and we'll need someone dedicated to excellence as far as serving food and beverages is concerned. You'll help design the eateries, lay out the menus, and then when it's all ready for the visitors to come and eat there, you'll help cook and serve," he explained. Really, it was something similar to what she'd done just now, by bringing him a basket full of food. He raised his eyebrows in a questioning expression. "So Miss Bell," he said, "does any of that sound like something you'd be interested in?"

Ruby bowed her head in both understanding and embarrassment. Respect was one thing Ruby never wanted to forget along with obedience. "Oh, yes Minister Greingoth." She made note of that first off, along with her duties and task.. Now was she up for it? Really? Head of Food Court? In charge of helping make the goods.
Ruby's eyes fluttered in amazement, such responsibility she was now in charge of. She smiled grandly, "Why yes Minister, that all sounds-" SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS! " quite splendid sir, I am looking forward to getting started!" Yes, getting started would be grand. Already the images of having over 50 flavors of all the juices and assorted sweets floating in her mind as her new workers-no-friends worked together with her! Yes..
Adjusting her purse as she tucked the neat notes inside. Now her hands were on her purse, in case she needed to write anything else down, holding back her lower lip she pondered what else, seeing as she had only came in to check her job status and greet the Great Minister. "I-Is there anything else I should take care of? Should I get ready in preparing a meeting?" Yes.. A meeting on making her current visions come to life! And the new friends she would be making.
Zach looked at his watch and sighed, he wasn't late, just yet... He walked passed the offices of the Undersecretaries and headed straight towards the door of the Big guy himself...
He knocked on the door of the Minister, and stopped a little bit, he heard voices and then he hesitated to knock again.
Maybe it is not the best time, he thought.

Alexander watched the woman, who was actually fairly composed, accept his offer with gratitude. However, he just couldn't shake the feeling that she was literally screaming in excitement inside her head. He just got the feeling that she could jump up on his desk and do a little dance if he'd allow her to. Of course he wouldn't be asking that of her, though.
"Well, then," he said, clasping his hands together. "That seems to be settled then. You'll need to meet with the two Maintenance Supervisors soon. They've been given the assignment of assisting you in getting started." Actually, all of Maintenance had. She'd need some help in constructing and building the area, of course. "Other than that, you're all set. If that's all, Miss Bell, feel free to go ahead and get started." He picked up his basket of goodies. "Oh, and thanks again."

Hearing a knock on the door, Alexander called out, "Just a moment, please." His voice was neither too soft nor too loud. It was just at the right volume to be heard from across the door. As soon as he was done with his current visitor, he'd see to the next one. Then again, he'd call in his Advisors, as well. Perhaps this was them now.
OOC: I'm hoping more of the Advisors show up. If not, you and I will hold the meeting.

Oh, but she did stop to hear him give a last thanks to her delicious goods. "It was no trouble at all Sir, have a gracious day!" Smiling grandly, the 4 hours preparing before the final baking was worth it indeed. Bowing before turning, she proceeded to exit out the door... and jumped for joy right outside before the door shut.

Alexander read the task that they were all given to when the new Minister is now in power. Quite frankly, it's a whole lot different than Borr's idea. At least now, he really feels like calling himself as one of the Ministry Advisors.
Alexander fixed his coat and tie and made his way through the front door of the Minister Greingoth's office. He hasn't been inside that office ever since he started the job. He posture himself in front of the door and knocked.
Was he the last one to arrive perhaps? Have they already started without him?
Tamara smoothed down the front of her pencil skirt before she stepped up beside the other person there knocking on the door. "Good day. YOu're an advisor as well?" she asked as she fixed her blue eyes on him.
Standing straighter she too knocked on the door and smiled. Grab their attention! LET THEM KNOW TAMARA SCAMANDER HAS ARRIVED!

Zach looked puzzled at the lady who just arrived. You're an advisor as well? she asked. Clearly, she never do her research. he thought.
Zach smiled and extended his hand, "Zacharias McMillan" he said and paused "And that is Mr. Alexander Kim." he continued pointing at the other gentleman near him.
"And you are Ms. Tamara Scamander." he said looking at her. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you."

Alexander was ready enough to go inside as he joined the 2 advisors outside the door. Alexander was a very observant person, plus he does his own research around the building. The girl in the pencil skirt that looks overly confident is Tamara Scamander... if his memory serves right? Her work station was not that far away from him, so it's not that hard to forget her. The man next to her is Zacharias David McMillan. He has been in this part of the ministry long enough.
Alexander moved to another pause, when the lady asked him or... well... them . Were their others, other than the minister advisors, participate in the meeting as well? Alexander saw the job task but did not pay attention that much to the other tasks--- just the Advisors' new task.
He smiled as he greeted them for the very first time. "Nice to finally meet you Tamara Scamander and Zacharias McMillan" he said giving them a slight bow. Since his name was already given by the young fellow, he gave him a smile. So no need for introductions that much since everyone here do their own research. Nice. "I hope we're on time..." he said as he checked his wrist watch again.
Was this guy FOR REAL? Pursing her lips Tamara narrowed her eyes at the younger man and shook her head. "Well if you knew half as much as you thought you did you know it is ACTUALLY Mrs. Scamander, sir." Bah. She did not care for stalkers. In the slightest.
The other one, Alexander seemed nice enough and not at all stalker like. Giving him a forced smile, thanks to Stalker Boy over there, she nodded her head in greeting. "Pleasure."
Now she turned back toward the door and waited on Alexand... Errrr... Minister Greingoth to open up.

He then looked towards the lady in a more puzzled manner.

Ahem, now Ruby was gone.
Alexander stood and came around to the other side of his desk. "My time...and everything," as she'd put it, "is my job, and I'm glad to do it." The line sort of made him feel like a house elf, but at the same time, he knew the type of leadership these people had had before. Borr. It was the same leadership he'd suffered through to get where he was now. The least he could do was make the transition as easy one. "You have a good day, too, Miss Bell, and I look forward to eating in that new food court."

The door had just been shut behind the Bell woman, but Alexander had been almost sure there'd be someone on the other side. He'd heard a knock not too long ago at least, and now there were voices. More than one distinct voice, he thought, so he assumed this must be his Advisors arriving for their meeting.
He was already up, and seeing as he thought it'd be nice to show them some respect, as well, he headed for the door and opened it wide. He could have easily used his wand, yes, but this conveyed his message much better. This was a new time and day for the Ministry of Magic, and he intended to run it the right way.
"Ah, Mr. McMillan. Mr. Kim...and Mrs. Scamander," he greeted, giving each a sharp nod of his head. He peered behind them, hoping there'd be more in their numbers, but saw no one. "Come in, please. I was hoping to get started straight away, but I see not everyone has arrived just yet." He summoned a series of chairs to the other side of his desk then sat in the one behind the desk. "Have either of you seen Miss Wood, Mr. Avery, or Mr. Claus?" (OOC: Emms, GrapehGrape, and WitchLight27)

When everyone gave replied to Alexander, he gave them each a sharp nod. Well, since the woman really felt upset about her being called a 'Miss'. Alexander looked at the Minister's door and minded his own business after that.
Having to have heard footsteps coming from the inside, he's now sure that finally he gets to see the inside of this office. This is, after all, his first time to actually have a meeting with the new Minister. Upon seeing the Minister open the door and greeting them with a nod, Alexander also did the same "Minister..." he said. "How are you?"
There are a lot of Advisors but the ones who came were only the 3 of them and Alexander haven't seen either of the people the Minister had mentioned. THAT, and the fact that, he went straight to the Minister's office when he came to work first thing in the morning. Yup. He did not stop over his cubicle for a break or something.
Tamara narrowed her eyes slightly at the man and then shook her head before locking her eyes directly ahead. "Some might find it offensive," she said and then titled her head up slightly. She thought it was ignorant, personally.
As soon as Minister Greingoth opened the door and welcomed them in she stepped in and returned the nod. As he asked about the others she shook her head subtly and let the others do the talking.

Zach gave a smile on the lady. I never thought she would be very flustered about one small thing. Woman he thought looking at the door and waiting for it to be answered. Well, he apologized, right? That is the important thing about all of this.

Zach cleared his throat and answered, "Good day, Minister!" he greeted and nodded as a response to the official. He then let the lady walk in first and gestured for the other Advisor to go in.
He then took the seat that is left empty by the two and sat with his back straight, slightly leaning forward and looked at the Minister. He just thought it would be a nice sign of attentiveness.
As the Minister asked if either of them saw the other three Advisors, he thinks hard and said, "I spotted Mr. Claus earlier in the Leaky Cauldron, I gave him a head's up." he said trying to figure out what happened. "That's why I am surprised why isn't he here yet." he said with a sigh.

Although his eyebrows had started to turn inward in annoyance over the lack of Advisors present, Alexander began to relax considerably when the Kim man asked how he was doing. "I'm doing alright," he said with a nod. "I was hoping we'd be a bit bigger in number, but perhaps this discussion is best among the four of us." ...and he'd be sending Recard after the others sometime later... "Please, take a seat, Mr. Kim."

Alexander turned his head in the direction of the Scamander woman just as she was shaking her head. "No, hmm?" he asked, thinking that one over. Were the employees even reporting to work at all? He paused for a moment to make a note for Recard then looked back up again. "Mrs. Scamander," he said then gestured toward an empty seat, "please take a seat."

Then finally, Alexander turned to McMillan. Since Alexander had rejoined the Ministry, McMillan had been an Advisor. A longstanding employee and one that actually showed up--now this he liked to see. "...and a good day to you, as well," he said. "It's good to see you still with us." He reorganized a stack of papers on his desk, if for nothing else than just to have something to do as he spoke. "Trying to figure out what happened? What happened with what?" he asked, giving McMillan a questioning expression. All he gathered from that was that one of his employees had skipped off to the Leaky Cauldron to complete some task he knew nothing of. He and the Undersecretary would definitely have a talk later.
Walter was late. Late, late, late. He hurried to the office, completely embarrassed. He made sure his tie and the rest of his suit was straight and stepped in. He looked around at all of the people and hoped he wasn't the last one there. "Good day Minister." He smiled and grabbed an empty seat.
Sorry. XD I was hoping for a few more replies, but we'll get started. ^_^

...and then the door randomly opened, without so much of a knock, causing Alexander to look sharply toward the door. "Your timing is just fine, Mr. Avery. I'm glad you could join us," he said. "Although, perhaps maybe a knock next time, hmm?" He finished that with a slight smile, letting the man know that although he'd have preferred a knock, he wasn't extremely angry or anything of the sort. As the Minister of Magic, though, he could never be too careful about the comings and goings in his office. Surely his Advisors understood that.
He turned his attention back to the others then. Cat got their tongue?
Nervous was an understatement for what Kyleigh Manning was feeling - her hand was shaking as she reached up to knock on the Minister of Magic's door. Why was she nervous?
Well - maybe it was because the clumsy girl was wearing heels. HEELS! It was like someone had told her to dress up because it was an important day - and it was, but falling on your face would definitely not get you the job. So she artfully stood there and tried her best not to wobble on her own two feet.
She was here to meet with her possible future boss the one and only Alexander Greingoth - maybe she should have made herself a little more known to him at that store opening but the fact his wife was her former Professor had frozen her in place.
Finally nerves abating she reached her hand upwards and rapped her knuckles against the door. Rap - tapping just once to make her presence known. After that she'd simply wait as patiently as she could for the door to open. She couldn't believe she was going to be a Ministry Scribe!
EEEEEEP! She was excited.
Excited petrified and nervous.

Alexander had just propped up in his chair, his feet folded carefully on the top of the desk, when a knock sounded on the door. Hmm? That was odd? Usually the Senior Undersecretary would see to his visitors first, and then she'd let him know he had someone wanting to see him. His eyebrows furrowed inward and he made way into a standing position. Walking to the door, he peered through the little hole and saw a young girl standing on the other side.
She couldn't have been much older than his youngest daughter, and she certainly seemed to be no harm. Straightening his jacket, he returned to the seat behind his desk, waved his wand to unlock the door, and then confidently said, "Come in, please."

Kyle was a little nervous as the door to the Minister's office opened and there stood the man she had just barely met at the Opening of Primpernelle's. Now she really regretted not introducing herself then - because after all, she had been his wife's former student?
"O-oh thank you sir" she smiled as she stepped into the room. A soft somewhat awkward smile playing on her face. "I wanted to thank you personally for the position in the ministry and to introduce myself, I'm Kyleigh Manning the new Ministry Scribe" she smiled.
Stepping into the room it looked grand what with the beautiful furniture. Glancing around the room quickly as she made her way towards the chairs - she didn't sit just yet, no she was still polite almost too a fault and she had come in to introduce herself. She wasn't good at first time introductions and being her normal awkward self she had thought meeting the man she'd be scribing for in person rather than in a group would be, well, a good idea?
Alright. Don't make this awkward. She told herself and smiled. "The - er, pamphlet I got when hired said to report here to accept the job, I guess this is me accepting the position so wonderfully offered by you and the ministry" right maybe that was awkward.

Knowing full well who he'd meet on the other side of the door, Alexander sat behind his desk, paperwork off to the side, and hands folded professionally in front of him. He hadn't the slightest clue who the young woman was, but he could only assume that she was one of the new hires. They'd had a good bit of those lately.
When the young woman stepped inside, Alexander offered her a small and quick grin before gesturing toward a seat on the opposite side of his desk. "Take a seat, please," he said. Then he nodded toward the chair for extra emphasis. Listening to her, he couldn't help but grin again. She was young, and so...new to the adult world. She reminded him of how Sierra might be in a few years, only his daughter would likely be a lot less timid.
"Miss Manning," he finally said, with a nod of realization. He'd seen her application. They only hired those most qualified, and it seemed to him that she had been. "You're welcome, however, have a bit more confidence in yourself. We wouldn't have hired you without the skills you brought along, after all." He nodded again. "Well it's good that you showed up and seem enthusiastic about the job. Tell me, Miss Manning, do you take good notes?"
OOC for everyone: I will be away on leave for about a week starting this Tuesday. Please have patience with me in replying in my office, and as soon as I am able to return, I'll check back and reply if need be.

Kyle did immediately what she was told - well, not immediately immediately first she walked to the seat opposite Minister Greingoths desk. Really if she'd just sat down on the floor kneeling like a dog - well that would just do wonders for her standing as a sane person at the ministry.
Though you could argue she was really obedient.
She was flustered, but she immdeidately smiled over to the Minister as he spoke to her, paled, and nodded her lips in a firm line. How could he tell she was so nervous?
Oh maybe because she was as white as the papers on his desk? "Yes sir, I'll be sure to be more confident." She spoke quietly, but when he asked if she took good notes she couldn't help but beam. She'd taken notes like a champion note taker - if they had an Olympic sport of note taking she would take gold. "Yes, sir, I must say I do take quite good of notes" she was being a little bit modest but modesty was good right? She decided quite quickly to divulge more. "I always took detailed notes especially in your wife's course Potions because certain things need to be followed to the T and if they aren't well, there can be grave consequences especially with potions making." She smiled.
Grim as the statement was she was showing her neurosis utter need for good notes. Good notes were the difference between a passing grade and a failing grade - and a failing grade was the difference between someone who was and someone who wasn't a Ravenclaw or someone equally as smart as one.

Alexander said nothing as the woman made her way to the seat she was offered. She seemed nervous, although, he couldn't for the life of him figure out why. Since he'd become Minister, people tended to be nervous around him. He wasn't really that intimidating, was he? He just expected people to do what they were meant to do and live up to the potential saw in them when they were hired. That was all.
He listened to her then finally grinned as she mentioned his wife's Potions class. "I'd imagine you did take good notes," he said. Then with a smirk, he added, "She'd have hexed you otherwise." It was an amusing thought anyway. "Good. Good to hear that you come with excellent note-taking skills. I require all my Scribes to." He wouldn't tolerate someone who couldn't keep up.
He knew he was late. Claus had never been late in his entire life. Could he reasoned out with traffic? Traffic wasn't entirely valid when you're a wizard and he knew that the Minister of Magic shouldn't wait. He was the boss, he should not be the one who's going to wait. Though, this was his office and either way, he needed to wait himself. Claus ran his life to reach the door and knock twice. That would be enough, right? Especially when they're already starting. And he also hoped with his life that they're just on the first part of the meeting.
