Chelsea was about to tell Borr to put a sock in it when Emily simple silenced him. Perfect. The racket was over - but the kicking had to stop - he'd pull something or worse sweat and then the body odor oh the body odor that would be utterly horrendous. The thought almost causing her to gag.

And then she watched blinking in shock as Roxanne gave him a good old whack. That must have hurt. Turning to Dean and Skander she smiled, "I have to say maybe a good old whack isn't a bad idea - and honestly Borr - we can change your memory you won't even remember us attacking you...just that some Muggle mugged you in the street and we all came to your rescue - wait...no, too fishy...thats it - we should get him into the sell work a little magic and make him think he's actually a walrus." She chuckled. Yes it was a bad joke since everyone already called him a walrus - but him.

"Emily if you need memories let me know" she nodded, "we should check the conference rooms on level 10 - the picket lines, everywhere for D'Isigny"

Cassirin 12-06-2011 11:27 PM

Remember you CANNOT RP outcomes, even for Borr. He gets to decide if spells work.

Caedwyn was mildly horrified. Borr was a mess, it was true, but their actions currently bordered on torture and were certainly human rights violations. If they came to trial as a result of this, even with Bole on their side, the whole group of them would lose their jobs. If not worse. Torture was simply not okay.

She stepped forward quickly to prevent any more physical abuse. "Lord Borr. For your safety, I suggest you agree to accompany us to the lock up facilities on the second floor. You will not be permitted your stick and we will continue to question you there, but we can guarantee we won't use any additional force against your person to get you there." The implication being... if he didn't come with them, the abuse was likely to continue.

slytherus 12-07-2011 12:12 AM

Dean felt like his eardrums were falling apart when Borr shouted. He covered both of his ears afterwards, avoiding from another possible bellowing from Borr. "Does this job cover medical insurance?" he mumbled to himself still looking to feel the pain. A doctor was who Dean needed to see afterwards. He did'nt even care if it was the muggle ones! And Borr expected for Greingoth to come and save him? Greingoth was on their side, the MLE. Hah! In your face, gigantic stress ball!

Emily was right. They should go after D'Isigny now before he got further away. Hopefully he hadn't flee the country yet."I'm outta' here!" said Dean as he made his way through the door and waved his hand. It was a good excuse to avoid his eardrums being fully damaged.

BanaBatGirl 12-07-2011 01:47 AM

torturing Borr = not cool; and geez you guys post WAY too fast =/

Treason, more talk of the Ghost, and people beating Borr with his own cane? This was quickly getting out of hand. Wes opened his mouth to say something about it all, but fortunately a fellow MLE'r took over. Good for Cadewyn.

More than Borr does, at least," he said in a low voice, glancing at the action inside the offic e once again as he finished speaking. Gevrik was the Ghost, after all. It wasn't entirely unlikely he wouldn't be responsible for other Cult members' spiriting themselves away. Especially one so high up as D'Isigny.

Wes directed his attention toward Dorian instead, who, like Izzy and himself, was smart for not directly attacking the Minister. Not yet, anyway. He listened to the man's suspicions and raised a brow.

"You're right, you're precisely right," he nodded, turning away from the action and nodding toward the rest of level one. "We should finish locking down this level and then.... perhaps move through the others very quickly? I also doubt he's anywhere in the Ministry, but we should at least check Transportation and Mysteries."

Because they all knew the Cultists who liked to hang out there.

Uh ohh. Borr really did not like this. Izzy winced as he shouted. Ouch. Izzy didn't really want to end up deaf after this misson, and they weren't even meant to be looking for Borr. Iz nodded at what Wes was saying. They needed to search quickly, because if he was not in the ministry, then he'd be getting further and further away the more that they stayed here, and didn't do much. That would not be good at all.

And....Dean apparently agreed with that too, because he was off. "I think he agrees too..." She mused with a grin, nodding her head in the direction that Dean had gone. But he did have the right idea. They needed to go. Now. She turned around, and began to walk away from Borr's office, giving Wes' hand a tug. Well if he wasn't going to let go, he had to come.

Berty Borr 12-09-2011 12:46 AM

Lord Borr was still shouting though no sound was coming from him. These CRIMINALS and RATS could turn down the volume, but there was NO SILENCING THE MINISTER OF MAGIC!

In all honesty, the Minister had become quite nervous. Armen, nor Sakura, nor Martel or Alexander were being quick enough for his tastes. His bowels couldn't really be blamed. It was the MLE's OWN fault that the term SILENT BUT DEADLY was given new meaning.

"HOW AM I TO WALK WITHOUT MY CANE?! YOU ARE BRAINLESS WONDERS, UNFIT TO BE IN MY PRESENCE!" He MOUTHED, though no sound escaped. None from his mouth anyway.

They would write about Lord Borr in the history books, about how he STOOD UP to the HEATHENS of society, how OUTNUMBERED he was, how he was TORTURED and PERSEVERED!

His small intestine was putterrrrRRRRrrrrrRRRrrrrring out its approval.

The Minister simply went limp, intending to beat these fools with a little game of possum.

What was… were the only words that entered Roxi's mind before she was hit with most offensive smell she had ever smelled in her life. Not even her father's shoes smelled that bad, and they were pretty bad! She felt her eyes water, and a queasy feeling in her stomach. "Sorry guys, I'm about to be sick!" she croaked, before racing out of the room to find a bathroom, trashcan, anything!

Hera 12-09-2011 06:19 AM

Oh for crying out loud. That fat oaf was still throwing a tantrum?! Emily rolled her eyes AGAIN. This was getting old.. and smelly, fast.

She wasn't all that surprised that Roxi ran out the room. Though it still annoyed her. Honestly!! HOW were they supposed to DO their jobs when SOME people couldn't handle it? Oh well.. SHE was here to save the day.

"Don't worry Minister, I have a lovely room for you, flickering lights, bars and a nice stench to match your own... musk."
She could hardly wait to get him to the holding cells on level two.
"There are two ways we can do this. One... you comply. Two... I use whatever means necessary to haul your gaseous backside into a cosy cell."

Emily turned her gaze back to her remaining team mates. Still watching Borr with her peripheral vision. Fat lump WAS NOT going to get the jump on her.
"Do we roll him down the stairs? Or should be apparate him there instead?" She asked with a smirk, massaging her wand handles with her thumbs subconsciously.
Personally she didn't mind either option, both had their pros and cons.

Saiai 12-09-2011 07:09 AM

"You should apparate him there. Less time for him to let out gaseous eruptions that way." Because Merlin did Borr stink. It was totally gross and he could understand why Roxi had run out of the room. The smell was nearly intolerable.

In fact Skander was only surviving by breathing through his mouth as much as possible. If he attempted to breathe through his nose he thought he would definitely throw up at the stench.

"Cade, if you'll stay and help Emily I'll go look for Roxi. Make sure she doesn't run into any Cultists and get hurt since she'll be on her own and all that," Skander said while moving to walk past the woman. "Also, please remember not to underestimate Borr. He must have some sort of brain to have lasted this long." And by that he was referring to the fact that Borr was kinda OLD and had to have survived parts of his adult life through using wit.

Cassirin 12-09-2011 12:13 PM

"Emily and I can handle it for now, but we would appreciate you having our backs as soon as you are able," she offered Skander a tight smile before returning her attention to Borr. The man was obviously unwilling to cooperate, which was such a shame. This would be more pleasant for all involved if it could be resolved peacefully.

"We could levitate him, I suppose. I don't think sidealong apparating is advisable with them guarding MLE so tightly at the moment. Someone is liable to get hexed for their trouble."

OOC: Beginning with this post, Berty Borr has been replaced as Minister of Magic by Alexander Greingoth II.

==================================================

Alexander Greingoth released a heavy sigh as he stepped into his new office. There was a lingering smell in the place, which he'd have taken care of immediately. He stepped toward his desk and picked up the framed photograph of himself, his fiancee, and his daughter. The corners of his mouth lifted upward into a small smile as he thought about his little family.

Placing the frame back down on the desk, he came around to the other side and took a seat in his new, leather chair. If he allowed himself to, he could very easily get overwhelmed; but of course he wouldn't allow himself to. Sitting there for the first time, however, reminded him that he, Alexander Greingoth II, now had an entire country of witches and wizards to run.

No, not stressful. Not at all.

Armen walked into the Minister's office without knocking on the large ornate doors and helped himself to a seat in one of the plush chairs across from which was Greingoth sitting in BORR'S desk.

Armen breathed in deeply as he took a seat, it still smelled like him. He was going to miss that large man. He owed him so much: his assistant, his Order of Merlin nomination, and his portait down the corridor.

Recard waited to be addressed, he had a Department to go look after he didn't need to waste time with this traitor.

When the large doors opened without the slightest effort of a knock from the person attempting entry, Alexander suddenly glanced up, giving Armen Recard a look that indicated he was not very amused. "Let's cut straight to the chase, shall we, Recard?" Alexander stated, not exactly asking a question. "First off, I can hear well and fine from my office anything discussed in the room next door." That'd be the Undersecretaries' Office. "You will, from this point on, address me as Minister Greingoth and in return, I will address you as Mr. Recard when you have earned back that respect from me."

"Secondly, you will give me the respect of knocking on my office door when you wish you to enter, and then you will wait until I offer you a seat before you so smugly accept it as your own," he continued. "Lastly, for now, at least, you will wipe that chip off your shoulder immediately, or I will see to it that your sentencing to a holding cell has an entirely different outcome than it so obviously did before." The man had been allowed to roam free, apparently. He paused, giving his words some time to sink in. "Are there any questions so far?"

"Fine," he ungritted his teeth. "Minister Greingoth."

Recard disliked this man very much but he was now in the position of Minister and he didn't want to go back to the holding cells like he was insinuating would happen if he didn't straighten up. The Transportation Head sat up straighter and didn't frown quite as much.

"What did you want to see me for today?" he asked as if nothing had happened the day before. He was helping out the Ministry...that was until the Cult fell from power.

Alexander looked at the man, still with an expression of disapproval. He wasn't completely satisfied with Recard's attempt at respect, but then again, he had a bit more to say himself. "You'll also note, Mr. Recard, that when I'm ready to explain to you what you've been called in here for, I'll tell you. Until then, your position is to politely await for that to happen," he said.

He paused and let a few seconds drag by for added effect. "You were called in here today, because at this point, you have two options. You will decide your choice while sitting right in that very chair and in this very office," he continued. "First off, you're fired, Recard. I will accept no questions, further comments, or plea bargains on that decision," he said, passing the man a piece of paper. It was a written declaration of his firing; or a copy of said document, actually. "Your first option is to accept your having been fired by gathering your belongings immediately and permanently ceasing to enter this building."

Again, he paused, giving Recard time to read over the notice. "Your second option is to accept your having been fired as department head and then come to work here on level one," he added. "Your job title will be...Gopher." Yes, Gopher. "Meaning, if the Minister needs anything done, you go for it. Anything at all, Recard, and as a matter of fact, I have your first assignment right here." He passed the man a second piece of paper before adding, "...and we'll see how you do in time. Perhaps...you can earn back the respect this Ministry once gave you." He sat back in his chair and waited for the decision to be made.

O_____O

"I'm FIRED?!" Armen stood up, his face turning dark red, and a vein beginning to pop on his forehead. He hadn't been this mad since, he couldn't remember when. How dare Greingoth come into this office and start cleaning house of the UPSTANDING and HARDWORKING, LOYAL departmen heads.

He took the piece of paper that documented his firing and wanted to throw it back at the guy. Seriously, he was going to do this to him, Armen Recard? Did he have any idea how long he had been at the Ministry? He had worked in the department of Magical Transportation for nearly 10 years now, working his way up the administrative ladder. THIS WAS HIS JOB!

Ready to explode out the door and set the whole building alight, Recard's eyebrows cocked up in suprise that there was a second option--this he wanted to hear.

GOPHER?! He had to be kidding.

That was really the only alternative. Merlin he didn't want to be a stupid lackey again, especially for the Minister. He had to do it though, if he ever wanted that Department Head spot again. Taking the secodn paper from Greingoth, the first assignment, Recard read it and decided to release his anger once he is not in view of his new boss.

"Option two will do." he said quietly, defeated. This would be horrible

The corners of Alexander's mouth lifted upward into that 'cat who's about to eat the canary' type smile. "That's right, Recard," he said. Then he leaned forward to stress the next word--"Fired." He lifted up a stack of papers and nodded toward them. "As a matter of fact, I've already received a handful of applications from people who've overheard there's an open position." He pulled a file off the top and added, "This Ms. Grey looks like a good one."

Alexander put the files away and watched the variety of reactions from Recard. Finally, the man made his decision, and Alexander couldn't be happier to hear the sound of defeat in the man's voice. That would show him for being Borr's right hand man and attempting to hand the Ministry over to the Cult. "Very well then," he said, and then with a tap of his wand, Armen's nametag changed to show:

AREMEN RECARD
MINISTRY GOPHER

"You might want to go remove your belongings from level six now," he said. He imagined the new hire, which would likely be Ms. Grey from the looks of her application, would would want to move in immediately. With a sarcastic smile and an equally sarcastic tone in his voice, he added, "Have a nice day, Recard." Then he moved his chair closer to his desk, dipped his quill in ink, and began writing a message to the Grey woman.

The smug smile on the Minister's face was almost too much for Armen. He didn't think he would EVER get over this SECRETARY being in the Minister's chair--Lord Borr's chair. Gevrik had assured everyone he was nobody to worry about. But now Armen would just have to accept the fact that Gevrik was in Azkaban, possibly dying, and Armen was here--slightly beat up, tired, and demoted beyond belief, but a free man and alive.

He was already being replaced, and by a woman?! Well that didn't really matter to him but still. He had been in his office the day before and now before his chair is even cold, some stranger is going to be able to sit in it? Those were his employees, he had put in the effort into training them and making them part of the well-oiled machine--now some Grey woman was taking over.

Whilst worrying about his sucessor, his Ministry clearance name tag was magically changed, the last blow to his ego. Done, he was finished as Department Head of a Ministry Department.

Now he was being released, to go retrieve his things...this day was just bloody fantastic. Armen stood up, pushing the chair back behind him and nodded his head at the man. "You too." and walked across the room yanking the door open and Apparating to level six.

He was getting his stuff home, now.

This was it. Yes.. Go on girl, do what you do best. Check the hair, the nails, and the dress, yes! Ohh the danish sweets! YES, she was all set! Inhaling as she puffed her torso out. She will be strong and deliver to the mysterious man and demand if needed he partake in her sweets! Head held high, she was given the okay to do the unthinkable.

*Rap, rap, rap* She knocked on the door holding the basket in front of her like a true lady as her dear mother told her. *Sniff* NO! Pull yourself together now! She will be a true lion if needed, just as long as she wasn't asked to RAAAAWR like one.

Alexander was just getting back to work from having met with the new Minister Gopher, aka Armen Recard, when he heard yet another knocking on his office door. It must be important, he guessed, because the Senior or Junior Undersecretary had let the person in. He rose from his chair and walked to the door. Amy other time, he'd have flung the door open with a swish of his wand. Now that he was the Minister, though, he had to be a bit more careful when opening his office door.

He peered through a little one-way hole, noticed one of the Magical Maintenance employees, and then smiled at he opened the door wide. "Miss Bell," he spoke, because he always made an effort to learn names, "come on in."

Ruby was standing there in the same position, hands joined to the handle of the basket of DELICIOUS sweets. Blinking a few times, she pursed her lips in an attempt to speak to the head. WHAT SHOULD SHE SAY? "G-good day, Minister." Biting her lower lip, OH WHY must Merlin cast a petrify spell on herself. Ruby was grateful however that the great Minister knew her name. Now QUICK, say something! Her eyes moving feverishly around the office. *Gulp* "I-I LOVE what you've done to the place." That's it, now he gave her permission to enter. And so, Ruby bowed before entering allowing the door to close.

Calm as could be, Alexander just looked toward the Bell woman, waiting for her to say something. Anything. He peered down toward the basket in her hands, grinning when he noticed that she'd brought along food. He tried to soften his facial expression as much as possible. She seemed terrified, but for the life of him, he couldn't figure out why.

"Ms. Bell," he said again, "why don't you just come on in and take a seat?" He flicked his wand, and a chair propped against the side wall came galloping toward his desk. It came to a stop on the opposite side from where he'd sit, inviting the Bell woman to have a seat.

He sat down in his chair and looked around the office. "Well, thank you. I have my assistants to thank for a lot of it, though," he said. "So," he added, restacking a bit of loose paperwork and moving it off to the side, "what can I do for you today?"

Oh Merlin, why oh why did she decide today to not have her daily juice! She was beginning to feel the effects, a drink! But no, she musn't break in front of her main superior! Quickly, she bowed again out of respect and embarrassment for herself. Now what did her mother tell her, Hush now and do what you do best! "Y-yes, that would be lovely, thank you." Walking quite briskly but delicately, for she was still a lady! Setting the basket of goods in front of the great Minister on his desk.

She made to sit, but almost forgotten! "Oh!" Eyes widening, her manners! Yes! "I have baked these goods for you and the entire office." Licking her already dry lips she continued, the spotlight was on her and all she wanted was a nice cold glass of juice to relax. "For there is enough for your f-family as well!" Yes, for this man had the signs of being a family man!

Finished with the introduction, she merely sat down, quite unsure, but attempted to hide this by sitting up straight, crossing her right leg over her left and smiling dashly. Yes.. Now she remembered why she didn't have a cup this morning. They did have a habit of staining. And now for the business.. "Well, Great Minister," For he must be to have replaced the other rather large grand Minister, hence the meaning. "I-I've noticed a rather change in some staff." Blinking in effort not to sound rather, desperate, for she was merely curious. "I-I came here to show my face and to take any radical changes you wish for me to do or take care of now that Lord Borr is.. well gone." Tightening her lips, was she too bold? Perhaps she should further explain the sweets. Blinking incase of the worse, "A-and to add, the sweets are a tradition I grew up with, presenting sweets to a new superior." Now that was said and done, if the Great Minister needed her to jump into a bowl of flobberworms, well she would gladly do so!

Alexander just sat and stared at the woman, trying to decide whether she'd gone crazy or was just naturally this energetic. In the end, he decided that she was naturally this energetic. He didn't see that mad look in her eyes, at least. He only quit staring at the soft thud the basket made when the woman placed it on his desk. He should say something. Err... "Well, thank you, Miss Bell. I'm sure my fiancee, my daughter, and I will enjoy these," he commented. What...were they...exactly? He lifted up the lid and looked inside. Ohh. Yes, they'd enjoy these indeed. "Looks delicious," he commented.

"Changes. Yes," he agreed, nodding his head. "Well, with Borr gone and myself as the new Minister, I believe we should open our food court soon, hmm?" It'd been in the works long enough. "There's a new head of Maintenance, Mr. Lennox, and a big enough staff to get things going." He studied the woman again, then he looked toward the basket. "Are you interested in heading the foot court, Miss Bell?"

Ruby was still on her toes when she studied how the Great Minister was looking at her gift. Would he like them? She hoped so, they were her favorite creations yet! She didn't blink, merely tightened her lips watching.. And then he smiled! OH he smiled! Yes! And that made Ruby smile as well. She was beginning to relax. "Thank you, Great Minister." Maintaining her posture, her right foot occasionally bouncing as she listened.

Nodding as the food court had been mentioned. She was most excited for that opening. And now he was looking at her basket again. Was he hungry, did he not want them anymore? Calm down, Ruby. She quietly inhaled intending to breathe when the major question had been asked. Did she want to head the food court? Ruby's eyes widened.Head the food court? This was too good to be true. All the visions of sweets and goods she had delivered during the picket line would become a daily occurrence now. But she needed to breathe first. "H-head?" She squeaked, before blinking. Her right foot even gave a little kick in the air in surprise. "Oh! T-T-That would be a great honor!" Ruby didn't wish to sound too surprised, no no, she had to maintain her calm as best as possible. For all she wanted to do next was jump out of her seat and sing on top of the Minister's desk for she was on the edge of GLORY! Yes..

Ahem. Clearing her throat to counter to previous squeaking. "And what would my tasks be as Head of the Food court?" Alas, her stutter was missing. She was truly in bliss! Reaching in her purse she took out some parchment and quill in case it were a long list. Always come prepared, no matter the circumstance. Merlin was good to her today.
