Did she just...stick her tongue out at him?

How old was she?

Hunter didn't even bother to respond to her childish antics, he merely moved to the other end of the table and threw himself into a chair and changed his half of the room back into its original colour. He was not about to have a colour change war with the woman either. So she could have pink down her end and he would have white down his end.

And then she was addressing the staff as though she was some sort of woman of importance and Hunter let out a small snort. Only in her mind was she important. His gaze drifted around the room and his mind began to wander as she went on with her ridiculous speech. That was until she mentioned Borr and great in the same sentence and his gaze snapped back to her and his eyes narrowed.

Oh so that's how she was going to play it, was she? Take on the position as co-supervisor but sit back and not do any work.

"Good idea Poppy. You and Ruby can attend to Lord Borr's personal jobs while the rest of us will take care of the rest of the Ministry."

Hunter glanced at the rather outspoken young woman and smirked. "Thank you, Divinity."

His gaze went to Lucy and he raised his eyebrows at her. She was such a twitchy little thing. "What about you Lucy? Which side are you on?"

Lucy turned to the woman next to her as she offered her a bag. What on earth does this crazy lady think she'll be doing with a bag? Why does she even think she needs a bag? Lucy's eyes widened and shook her head slowly, attempting to decline the offer in the most polite way possible. This was polite, right? After all, she wasn't saying anything or being rude or whatever.

But as soon Mr. Phillips mentioned her name, Lucy jumped in her seat and turned around, looking for the man. Ah, there he was he. What was he asking? "Uh...what? S-s-sides?" Perhaps this man was asking which supervisor person thingy she prefers to be with and quite frankly, Lucy had no intentions of being with that crazy cactus lady, not with her obvious admiration for Lord Borr. No, no, no. She would prefer to be with anyone else but the people who worshiped that horrible man.

"I-I think I'll...I think side with anyone but Ms. Cactus over there." she said, pointing to Ms. Pricklepot.

Ethan entered the meeting room, unsure of what to do. "Have I missed anything?" he asked the room at whole. He had been talking to the International Cooperation employee most of the morning... "So, sorry, but what were we doing?"

Ah, Alas! This Divinity woman was a saint! Overwhelmed with joy as tears started to form in Ruby's shining eyes, she bowed as fast as possible, "Oh, t-thank you sweet one!" She cradled the juice bottle again before making haste in drinking it.

Perhaps he needed to talk to this woman in whispers. It seemed that every time he opened his mouth to talk to her, she almost jumped out of her skin.

But she redeemed herself when she said that she wanted to be on his side and broad smile spread across his face. "Thank you Lucy. You won't be sorry." He turned to look at Pricklepot and almost poked his tongue out at her.

He was just about to offer the ladies a coffee when another new member of the maintenance team walked in and Hunter nodded his head at him. "We are currently discussing which Supervisor the mainetance staff would like to work under. Mrs Pricklepot over there is taking on candidates who like nothing better than doing Lord Borr's personal chores." He rolled his eyes and wore a disgusted look on his face. "Or...you can work under the Supervisor who would much prefer to spend their time actually doing the job they were hired to do which is to do maintenance around the Ministry. Oh and that Supervisor would be me. Hunter Phillips." he said extending his hand out to the young man.

"EVERYONE will participate in the completion of the tasks posted by LORD BORR, your sovereign!" she stomped her foot and folded her arms in front of her. Not that she minded doing them all herself, she would work forever for LORD BORR, but wouldn't lift a finger for anyone else. "YOU," Poppy began sticking her finger in Mr. Phillips' face, "Can take anyone else that you want with you. Ruby and I will go clean his office! It needs a woman's touch." She batted her eyelashes and giggled. "Meanwhile, Mr. Phillip and his party can go clean any other parts of the Ministry. Remember to make note of any employees who aren't doing their job." She gave Mr. Phillips a stern look. "And we will meet back here when we are done."

"Any questions? No questions? Okay, good. Now get to it, the Ministry isn't going to clean itself."

OOC: This is a just an excuse for us to complete the tasks in groups and hopefully have more fun. Kimalia and I will clean Borr's office (but anyone else is welcome to tag along!!), while everyone else can go clean the other parts of the Ministry, like the corridors, lifts, staircases, etc. You can use magic or do it the good old way, but haaaaaaaaveee fun!

Melanie gaped at the women called Poppy who was barking commands at her fellow colleagues. "This is not the woman to have problems with" she though. Sigh, being a newbie at the Ministry of Magic is going to take some time to get used to. She hopes that it will get better some time sooner. Melanie quickly left the room to start cleaning up the Ministry.

" Don't mention it. If you get the chance I'd run for it. Join our group, afterall anything is better than working for Pricklepants over there. " Vinnie said with a chuckle.

" Hello there. I'm Divinity, Vinnie for short . You are? " Vinnie said as she tried to introduce herself to the new girl that had just arrived.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Ethan Lennox," he said, shaking the man's hand. "As you could probably tell, I'm new here, so--" he was cut off when the woman he then presumed to the the other supervisor began launching commands at them. "Alright then, I guess that means get to work? Oh Merlin, I probably should get on some robes instead of these Muggle clothes. Long story..." he said, noting the slightly disappointed look on Hunter's face, "Can we apparate in here? I need to get my robes from home..." he said, mortified at his irresponsibility.

Melanie was startled when the young lady greeted her, but she relaxed right away as the girl named Divinity, or Vinnie for short, waved at her/ It was an amazing feeling to finally have an acquaintance with someone in the Ministry of Magic
"Hi Vinnie, I'm Melanie. It's a pleasure to make an acquaintance with you." Melanie said warmly. "It's my first week of work here, and I was about to leave to start helping the Minister do his dry cleaning and clean up the Ministry. I don't want to be caught slacking off. May I ask, what do you work for?"

He was nervous.

Yes, it was certainly not a common aspect of his day to day persona, but he was nervous nonetheless. As James strode into the Magical Maintenance...er...meeting place, he cast a wary eye about for any suspicious behavior. Hmmm....Well. As far as he could see, there weren't any mysterious mosquito's flying 'round.

That's right. MOSQUITO'S.

The little buggers had mauled his leg the night before, and, seeing as there weren't naturally mosquito's in his high-end flat, he assumed he was being followed by a pack of mosquito's. Would you call 'em a pack? Eh. Anyway, there weren't any. So all good.

As I was saying.

James was, as previously stated, striding warily into this soevercalled meeting place with a sole thought upon his mind. Food. He was hungry. Would this meeting place have coffee? Tea? Crumpets? Toast? Yes, food was independently controlling his mental sphere. But he was nervous. James Lupet: Nervous. Sounded like the name of a fantasy novel.

It wasn't that he was brave. Or stoic. Or massive. Or strong. The matter-of-fact was that James was really just to spaced out most of the time to take the energy of actually being nervous. Nevertheless, nervous is what the poor guy was.

Now. Why was he nervous? Good question. Glad you asked. See, James was late. Yup. Late. Late for his first day of a new job. Of course not as such a glamorous job as he had previously...but a job. A job for the Ministry of Magic. Ew. He didn't authorities. Not for any reason but that they were always so stiff. Back to the point. So, being late, James rushed out the door...leaving his breakfast behind.

It was a sad tale.

Not only that, but it was MAINTENANCE. Wasn't that like janitors and bodyguards? James was incompetent for both. Let all Hell brake loose, he thought, as he made way for something that looked suspiciously like a doughnut.

"Nice to meet you Ethan." Hunter said giving him a friendly smile. He dropped his hand and listened with mild amusement as the young man spoke. He took out his wand and gave it a small wave and conjured up the navy blue maintenance robe and handed it over to him. "That should get you through the day."

He looked around the meeting room at the new staff that was still standing around, apparently not sure of what to do. He was glad that Pricklepot had left. "Alright listen up. I am heading up to level two to make sure everything is in order. If one or two of you want to come with me that's fine otherwise I need you to pick a department check and see if they need anything done, such as repairs or whatnot and just do a general clean up." Hunter gave them all an encouraging smile and headed for the door but he stopped just before reaching the exit and turned back to his staff.

"Oh and I know it's one of the tasks but if I hear of any of you spying on the other workers and reporting back to Borr, I'll have you fired!" He actually didn't know whether he could do that, but it sounded GOOD!

" I'd be happy to help you Mr, Hunter . " Vinnie said just before he reached the door as she smiled up at him.

Needless to say, Ethan was excited. He strolled confidently into the meeting room, now fully taking in the room around him. He knew he would be spending more time in there from that moment on, as the new Supervisor, so he decided to sort of acquire a feel for the room, so to speak.

He paced around the room, stopping at what he assumed was the front. He would be up here more often, giving out tasks, possibly conducting meetings. It felt good, exhilarating to have an official position after four years work in Maintenance, and Ethan was eager to get started. He checked his watch, just making sure he was on time for his meeting with Hunter. Sort of a meet-and-greet, with a briefing on the Supervisor job. And Ethan was up for it.

A look at his watch told him that he was running just a teensy bit late. But that was usual for Hunter. He really needed to work on his punctuality. And as he approached the meeting room, he could tell that Ethan was already there since the door was open.

Stepping inside, Hunter stood just in the doorway, watching the other man prowl around the room, checking everything out. "I did the same thing myself when I was given the Supervisor's position." He chuckled softly as he pushed off the wall and moved over to Ethan and held out his hand. "Congratulations on your promotion."

Ethan looked up at the sound of a voice and promptly smiled. Hunter was a bit late, but that much didn't matter. It wasn't like they really had any other meetings that day. At least, Ethan didn't, but he couldn't really speak for Hunter. Ethan was sure, though, that if Hunter had any other meetings he would probably let him know.

But up to this point, it was Ethan's turn to realize what he had gotten himself into. "Thank you," he said as he shook his fellow Supervisor's hand firmly. How to make a good first impression: a good handshake. Deciding to start the conversation off on his own terms, Ethan admitted, "I'm pretty nervous about it, actually." And he was. He had accepted a double post as Supervisor and Carpenter due to a shortage of Maintenance employees after the whole Cult thing...

"No need to be nervous." he said shaking Ethan's hand before walking over to the coffee machine. "Would you like one?" Hunter poured himself a cup. "Anyway as I was saying there is nothing to be nervous about. The crew we have are pretty good. Hard workers."

Taking a sip of his coffee, he let out a small sigh. Caffeine was good. "If you need a hand with anything, all you have to do is ask."

Ethan refused with a quick shake of his head. Lights drank coffee, not him. Now, Ethan knew all about the quality of the crew--he had been in the midst of it for four years--but he also knew about the shortage of employees. There was also another, pretty crucial question that he had. "So, as a supervisor, what exactly am I to do?"

He remembered asking the same question himself when he had first started. Hunter took another sip of his coffee before walking over to the table and hooking a chair leg with his foot and pulling it out from under the table.

"Well you supervise basically." he chuckled as he sat down in the chair. "You check what jobs need doing around the Ministry and then delegate them to the appropriate crew. Then you check on how the jobs are going." He took another sip of his coffee. "Just make sure everything runs smoothly basically."

Ethan laughed lightly as he also took a seat at the table, closer to the head. It just felt good to be there. "It seems easy when you put it that way! But wht about the shortage of employees? I'm technically still a Carpenter as well as being Supervisor, and I know that we lack many workers in every category of our workforce. Can we be sure that the new recruits, so to speak, will be placed here in Maintenance?" Because that would be an issue, if the appropriate group for a project were nonexistent.

Violet walked to the meeting area hoping there will be someone that could help her with her problem. She looked around the room and she felt sad that the room seemed practically empty so far.

The meeting with Hunter had been rather brief--apparently his new job was simple enough, and he hadn't realized it--and Ethan was just about ready to start wrapping up when another maintenance employee walked in. His first act as supervisor? Helping someone out.

"Hello, did you need something?" he asked, striding over to the woman. She seemed young, but not much younger than himself--Ethan being 23, not many people in the Ministry would be younger than him. Her apparent youth wasn't surprising, as most of the younger applicants to the Ministry went to Maintenance first. He could see a certain mischievous gleam in her eye that reminded him all too much of Ezekiel, but he figured he could probably handle it, especially given that he hadn't yet killed his own parasite of a son. Well, introductions were apparently in order. "I'm Ethan Lennox, maintenance supervisor. That's Hunter Phillips, he's the other supervisor." Ethan extended a hand welcomingly toward the woman, his smile hopefully being inviting. "I don't bite. At least, not that I know of. Maybe if provoked..." he added jokingly, though he sounded rather thoughtful toward the end. Perhaps he actually would bite if provoked. Either way, there goes a first impression...

Melanie looked up to see that a young man had walked over to her. He seemed around the same age as her, but he carried around a type of importance in him. Finally some help that she could get, but it had taken quite a long time. She tried to smile gratefully at him, but something about him wanted to make her giggle. She kept calm and introduced herself to the man "Hello, I'm Melanie Caparelli." she said carefully to the young man and extended her hand to grasp his hand in a handshake. "It's nice to meet you Mr. Lennox." She inclined her head to the other man as well. "It's nice to meet you as well Mr. Phillips." Melanie wasn't sure yet if it was appropriate to call them by their first names. It seemed very intimate for her to do that right when you meet you someone for the first time. She laughed at his joke for not biting and thought it should be better to get to the point of her problem. "Yes, I do need help. I'm one of the carpenters in the Maintenance department, though I do not like the job very much." She put one hand on her hip to show off annoyance. "I had just been wondering when the construction of this...new food court will start." She smirked at the man. It was going to fun to talk to this guy.

"Oh, you're a carpenter!" Ethan said rather brightly, his face lighting up noticeably enough. "I was, before my promotion. Technically I still am..." He trailed off a bit, looking slightly thoughtful, and a bit spacey. Snapping back into reality... "The food court, right. Well, we've yet to meet with the head of the Food court, so I can honestly say that I don't know at the moment. Now, as for you not liking your job. You do realize that you can use magic, right?" Ethan's last statement carried his signture sarcasm, and the eyebrow raise that went with it hopefully conveyed that he was joking. Well, sort of...

"Really? That really great!." Melanie was slightly surprised, but she was also impressed by the man who had already gotten a promotion from the job. "Well, I hope that the head of the Food Court will hand out some jobs soon. Being Welcome Witch is quite boring when not many employees come in from the gates." She nodded slightly at the thought. "Magic? Of course I know that." Melanie laughed at her slight stupidity during that moment. "It just makes the job so much easier"
