"I work with dragons. They are really marvelous creatures, dragons. We can learn so much from them." As he heard that Atticus was heading to the break room, he decided to go with him. So he stood up and said "Well it's been a pleasure meeting you all. Hope to work with you all soon." He then made his way to the break room for some tea.

So here she was, her first day on the job. Leah had cried when she left the house this morning, that broke her heart a little, but Blair had taken this job for Leah, she needed a steady place and steady job for her. So with a heavy heart, but excited at the same time, Blair put a smile on her face and headed to work that morning.

She sighed, as she was about to enter the office, ewwww.......walls, she wasn't used to them, she had spent the last five years in nature, sournded by animals and no working plumbing. Ugh, so much white, Blair would need to bring in a few plants tomorrow to make her space a little more inviting. She hoped she was able to make friends because lets face it, right now, her only friends was a two year old.

Kylie walked into the work area of the magical creatures department. She hadnt been to a first day in years and this time her mother would not be the Ministry of Magic and the department head would not know her as the woman who picked him up and know one would know her as the Minister's daughter. It took her forever to leave her house her little two year olds looked so happy sleeping and her husband had the coffee ready for them both but he wouldnt be working at the Ministry he was just getting up for her.

To be honest she was not sure if she would get many friends, all her friends were back in Australia so basically her only friends right now were two ickle two year olds and her husband. Seeing someone who looked new to be honest she was not so sure. Walking over to her she said G'day mate, biting her lip she just said g'day mate, why did her australianness need to shine through!

Blair was still staring at her sad white walls trying to figure out the best way to decorate so she didn't feel like she was always stuck indoors when she heard some one walking around behind her. She turned to see another woman walking in, she looked new as well. Well that's good, at least Blair didn't need to feel left out. There was a some one else who was new as well.

And then the girl spoke...g'day mate?? Blair nearly laughed out loud. It had been years since she had been to Australia. She missed the way they talked to be honest. "Hello, It's nice to meet you." Blair said sticking her hand out for a shake. "Blair Brewer ..... and you are?" She said introducing her self for the first time in what was sure to be a long line of introductions. That's what she hated about being new......all the people she didn't know.

Oh thank goodness the woman hadnt bursted out laughing at her accent or that she said g'day mate. Kylie smiled and took the woman's hand and said Nice to meet ya too Blair, thats a pretty name. I am Kylie Rewuri. Wow she had never realized her name was truly australian. It was nice to meet someone new. Looking around she said accidentaly outloud, I have to do something about these walls. Realizing she said it outloud she added Its so white. I am not used to it... Again she hoped Blair wouldnt find her too weird. She tended to do that, but in Australia people thought that was normal, well for her especially since everyone listened to stories about the Minister's daughter.

Blair smiled again, this woman was nice, and it was nice for Blair to be able to hold a conversation. Usually she just talked to Dragons, and those didn't talk back to you. Or Leah, and let's face it, a two year old wasn't much for conversation. Blair then heard the comment about the walls and her grin spread straight across her face lightening it up. "I was thinking the exact same thing! It's too white!" She said thinking that this woman and her would probably get along just fine.

"I've spent the last six years researching Dragons in their natural habitate. So I'm not use to a cubicle....or working plumbing for that matter." Blair said realizing she probably took it one step too far with that last comment. Hoping she didn't offend her new friends she looked down at the floor for a second.

Kylie smiled and said Way too white! Needs color! It was nice talking to someone who didnt drool, Wesley and Autumn were just horriable with that and they just talked nonsense. Smiling she said Wow, reaserching dragons thats amazing. In Australia I was a Werewolf Operative so I didnt spend lots of time indoors. after hearing her last comment Same for me, you either hold it until the capture or go... Laughing she liked this Bliar she didnt have to act bossy or someone she wasnt and she didnt have to act mature since her mother didnt have eyes everywhere here, it was just her.

Blair was happy, she had made a new friend and she wasn't acting that strange around her to be honest. Okay, these were all good signs! "I was thinking I'd probably have to bring in some plants to! A little wild life to brighten up the place." She smiled at Kylie.

"I'll probably have to bring in a few pictures that Leah draws for me to." Blair mentioned, and then she stopped herself short. She had mentioned Leah to Kylie already, usually Blair tried not to talk about Leah, at least not at first, because then she had mentioned Leah's whole story.

Well Kylie must be trust worthy, because otherwise Blair probably won't have mentioned it to begin with.

Smiling she said Yes, I mean this place has posters and things about creatures on the walls but they are probablly very old! Ohh yes I must bring a plant in just to bring some color. Hearing the sound of a little one's name she said Ah you have a daughter? I have two little tykes. Both two year olds a boy named Wesley and a girl named Autumn.

Usually Kylie didnt go off telling people she had two little two year olds but something about Blair seemed right so Kylie trusted her and she had a tyke as well. Smiling she even had a picture of them in her wallet! Yeap she loved her bundles of joy!

Blair's smile faltered for a second, did she really tell Leah's story now, did she really tell this woman about who she was. Saying it out loud to a someone in her family made it so official and she wasn't sure that she was ready for that. She sighed, well the truth would come out eventually.

"No I don't have any children, Leah is my niece." Blair said loosing her smile compeletly and replacing it a face full of tears, she wasn't sure what she would do if she broke down right here at work. She sighed, ugh, this was not going as well as she thought it was going to go. "My sister Joan passed away, and Leah was left in my care." She explained, there she had said it outloud and now Joan was never going to come back, it was true, there was nothing left for her!!!

Kylie's mouth formed an O. She gulped and said I am so sorry for your loss. Why did Kylie have to bring such a painful memory up. Sigh she said How long ago did she pass? It must have been hard lossing a family member. Kylie couldnt bare the thought of losing James, Wesley, Autumn, Lewis or any of her parents. It was just a sad thought.

It wasn't so much saying it out loud it was the reaction that people gave her when she told everyone. It was hard, so hard to see everyone's face fall just like hers. She couldn't imagine what her face looked liked when she brought up Joan.

Blair's was able to keep herself from completely breaking down right here at work, so maybe that was a sign that things were getting a little better. All though, you never truley stopped missing the ones you love. "She passed away about six months ago." She sighed, thinking about the owl that had found her in woods when she was doing research. And flying home, nearly missing the funeral, and then, to find out that little Leah was going to be with her.

"I didn't know that Joan had made plans to leave Leah with me in case something were to happen to her. It was a total surprise." Blair explained, she wasn't crying, maybe talking about it was a good thing, maybe this is really what she needed. To talk about it.

Caroline walked into the office with her coffee in hand, ready to get busy at work. To be honest she was suprised, not that many people were in. Caroline was excited, they had gotten a new department head! So many things to be excited about. She had invited her sister to the little get together the new head had thrown. So much fun. She fixed her top as she sat down at her desk.

Scarlett walk passed Caroline's Cubical she saw her sitting there Hey Caroline.Is your sister still dating my brother she asked calmly.He really likes her but i think didn't work out.

From the moment she had woken up this morning, something felt very off to Laurel. She couldn't exactly pinpoint what it was, but she knew that something was going on with her. All morning she had been seeming to be....zoning out almost every few minutes. But thankfully she'd shake her head and would seem to come out of. Although, when she was just making her way into the Ministry, she had almost walked right into the fountain in the center of the Ministry, but luckily someone had snapped her out of it.

When she had arrived on the fourth level of her department, Laurel made her way throughout the area. But as she was not too far from her desk, Laurel's hazel eyes seemed to glaze over again, and she looked very dull in the face. Almost like she had no feeling, no soul, almost like her brain had shut down. It seemed to last like for a couple of moments again, until Laurel had walked into a wall and it seemed to jolt her awake again.

Stumbling back in her boots she quickly brought her hand to her forehead saying rather loudly,"Oh Bloody He-" but didn't finish her statement. Instead she just rubbed her forehead as she finally made her way to her desk. "Oh I know that's going to leave a mark later.." Laurel groaned a little as she rubbed it for a couple more seconds.

What in Merlin's name was wrong with her?!

Willow marched into her cubicle and wiped off her chair before sitting down. She pulled out another wipe out of her bag and wiped the desk before getting started with her paper work.

After a little stretch a sip of her tea, Ella wandered out of her office into the work area to check up on her employees. It had been a long day, especially after not sleeping well for the past couple days. It was wearing her out a little, but she managed to survive so far. She saw a few of them there, but she knew most everyone else was out on various missions, so that was good.

"How's the work going?" she asked everyone around, just to check up on them.

Macy stepped into the work area on her first day very nervous yet excited at the same time. Taking a small sip from her brown and pink polka dotted travel coffee mug, she studied a clipboard by the door for her cubicle assignment.

No, no, no... -ah. There it was. Against the wall in a corner. What, were they trying to hide her excellence away or something? No, a corner cubicle will probably be good, actually, she thought. She walked confidently down an aisle of cubicles in her heels, smiling at her fellow workers whenever they made eye contact. She wondered if there were any other Junior Dragon Restraint Officers, or if she was the only one.

Finally finding her cubicle, she immediately sat down in her comfy chair and spun around a few times to clear her mind. She pulled her binder out of her bag and re-read her job assignment.

Wow. The Welsh Dragon reserve. Who would've thought Macy would grow up and be visiting the Welsh Dragon reserve for her job at the Ministry of freaking Magic?! It was all hard to process. So to relieve some of her stress, she got to work tidying up her cubicle and posting pictures on the walls.

"It's going amazing so far, thanks!" she replied to her new boss, turning around and giving her a big grin as she heard Ella behind her.

After the holiday was done, Thomas walked back into the offices of the department used by Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. He casually walked back over to his office to see that nothing has changed. All that changed was he had paperwork to do on his first day back. Unlike last year where he barely had any work to do unfortunately. Thomas would really like to have some work rather then none at all.

While he was getting comfy he took out his specially made wand. It was engraved with a dragon's head on the handle. To be specific it was the head of a Norweigian Ridgeback, his favorite type of dragon. After he took his wand out he also took out his notebook, quill, and inkwell because Nate had some research to do.

Before he could get into that to much though he decided to meet one of his fellow co-workers. So he walked over to her cubicle, and said while offering a hand "Hello. I don't believe we met before. I'm Thomas Jones. One of the Junior Dragon Researchers here. What's your name? Also what do you do here?"

Hadley was so bored. She was so stuck on this book.

How was she ever going to be able to write about how to communicate with spirits, if she could not find any to talk to? Indeed, this was more difficult than she had ever imagined.
She rocked back and forth in her chair, tapping her quill against the table as she stared distantly into the air, waiting for inspiration to strike her like lightening.

Kylie was bored..With nothing to do.

There weren't any werewolfs and her husband had managed to give her a scare every time she came home. You do not leave kids in the bathroom alone especially three year old kids! She sighed as she looked around the room..Seeing someone not doing anything just tapping her quill she walked over to her. "Hi? I'm Kylie Rewuri." Was she doing something?

Today was the big day! Ella had been excited about this hike for quite a while. Things were sort of slow in the inside of her department, so this hike was well planned and an all around good idea, if she did say so herself. Some of her employees (herself included) needed some fresh air and real excitement.

With her personal hiking supplies in a small backpack on her back, hiking boots on her feet, and comfortable, durable clothing on herself, Ella made her way to the work area where she told her participating employees and other Ministry workers to meet up.

She glanced at the clock to see she was just a few minutes early. While she waited for her employees and whoever else might show up, Ella checked her bag once again to make sure she had everything.

Cole was definitely early. Coffee in one hand, and a small bag in the other, the twenty nine year old strolled in the creatures' offices.

The place was empty.

Well, except for the Creatures' Head being in there, looking all ready and packed up.

"Good Morning!" the man smiled, coming up to stand next to her. "You look excited," he added, chuckling and then taking a sip of his coffee.

Hershey was practically bouncing into the room. SHE was excited about this little trip. How COOL was it going to be, really? The only problem was, she was 99.9% sure that she wasn't going to have any dragon encounters. Well, other magical creatures were cool too.

"Hello!" She beamed at her boss and the man with the coffee. There wasn't a whole lot of people here yet, which suited her just fine, she didn't like to be late, but she DID hope more people showed up. Where were they? Hershey was ready to get going!

Manolo stretched his arms as he entered the work area. He was excited for what the hike had to bring. With him missing Awar while she was off with Presley for the summer, this would be a great treat. "Good Day, everybody." He said waving his arm like a rainbow. Shaking the hands of those he didn't know, he introduced himself, "Hello, I'm Manolo." He spotted someone with coffee and had the sudden craving for one himself. He nodded towards to his boss. "Hey, Miss! How's it going?"
