Tea room? BORING. What a snooze. Besides... there were coffee carts and break rooms all over the Ministry. Not to mention a cafeteria thingy. GAH. Ridiculous.

Patrick gave her a deadpan and shook his head before turning his attention back to Gabi. He really couldn't concentrate on things today. He had to get the paint off of his suit and get back to doing things... other things... maybe. Or he would go have lunch. He wasn't QUITE sure yet.

"I will send my suggestion to the Minister's office. Endorphines make people happy." JUST SAYING.

"Good idea, Patrick," Gabi said with a smile. She had no idea what endorphins were, but the Minister could deal with Patrick's trampoline idea. She had to use that space for more PRACTICAL means. Like testing centers and stuff.

"Thank you all for your suggestions. When the Ministry closes for it's annual Christmas break, maintenance will begin to reconstruct our level, and when we return, we will have uses for ALL the rooms and a whole new testing center for the Apparition team to work with," she said with a grin.

"Now, before we leave, there is ONE more item I want to address. Going through the paperwork since I took office a few years ago, I've found that there are HUNDREDS of unsolved cases involving flying carpets. Illegal trade, sightings by muggles, all sorts of stuff. I wanted to open the floor to YOU guys - what should be done about this? Should we tighten rules on flying carpets? Or should we just drop bans all together? What could be the repercussions of either decision?"

Ok. DISCUSS.

HE was on the apparition team. HEH. Cool beans. Yeah man. He could dig having a new center to play around in... err... work in. WORK. That's what he did. Yep.

FLYING CARPETS?! Awesome! Patrick sat up a little straighter and listened intently. He had had the pleasure of riding one once... in India. It was rather AWESOME. He was a fan of the flying carpets. YEP.

"Well if the cases are unsolved then clearly the MLE is not doing a great job at capturing the supposed criminals, since there is a ban and all. I say lift it. People are doing it anyway. Perhaps when made legal it will give people more reason to think about the Muggles... and the thing there... STATUTE. That thing. Really I mean... when something is made legal people tend to lose some interest in it anyway. Then the MLE could fine the people breaking the statute because they would be more likely to do it out in the open... Maybe." DID THAT MAKE SENSE? WAS SHE FOLLOWING? HE WAS EXCITED!

A few feet away from Patrick in an overlooked corner of the conference room lies a nasty old sweater with a few holes in it. Who left that lying there? Be careful not to touch the portkey before it's deactivated! Otherwise you'll be transported FAR away from the office...

Gabi chuckled. "Thank you for your input Patrick. It's just a little something I'm...looking into," she explained. "Now, that's all for this meeting today. I'll take all your ideas into consideration and when we all leave for our Christmas break, Maintenance will be working on remodeling our level, so get excited for that!" she said. In case they weren't already excited for BREAK.

"Now, hurry on back to your desks. You've got just a few more weeks of work until we get new employees and our Christmas break is upon us!" she said with an excited clap. YAY CHRISTMAS!
