Alexander Greingoth EraAll historical records pertaining to Ministry of Magic RPG under Minister for Magic, Alexander Greingoth [IC January 2076 - December 2081; OOC January 2012 - June 2013]
Andrew had mixed feelings about working at the Ministry, despite the fact that he was hired fairly quickly after applying. On one hand, he was anxious for that something different, but on the other, the action. He would miss that most of all. Even the danger.
Drawing a deep breath, he adjusted his dress shirt again for about the seventh time that morning, before entering the conference room. Women. That was the first thing he noticed. Lots of women were working here. And for some bazaar reason, this depressed him, even if they were younger than him.
Scanning the room casually, his light eyes fell upon someone who seemed safe and he strode over to sit next to him (Sancho). At least he wouldn't be tempted to think of her. That was the whole point of leaving the Kestrals.
"Good morning," Andrew noted nonchalantly to his neighbor.
Kaitlynnh had never in her wildest dreams thought of working at the Ministry of Magic, nevermind the one in Britian. She loved Italy, and she loved her former job. It was her dream. Yet, here she was. Working for the British Ministry of Magic.
She would get use to it, Julian said. It would be good for her, he said. Merlin, let him be right.
Kaitlynnh brushed a strand of straight dark hair from her face, the young woman entered the conference room, barely taking in her surrounding or faces of those she would now be working with before pulling out the nearest empty chair next to an older (than her) gentleman. Taking her seat in silence, she folded her hands in her lap and waited.

I love you all,

Waiting for an answer from the woman who had been the first in the room, Rylan turned his attention towards the door when it opened again. He saw a man walk in while also holding a cup of coffee really where did they get those? and he gave him a quick nod in greeting.
It wasn't long before the door opened up for a second time and his eyes looked at a very nervous looking female. She must be new too and to be honest, it felt good that he wasn't the only one who was a bit nervous for his first day at work. Rylan gave the female a smile and wondered how many employees where in this department.
The next person to walk in had a different kind of aura around her than the previous ones. He could tell by the way she walked with her head held high and Rylan noticed a small smile. This must be his Department Head. And his thought was comfirmed when she spoke.
"Excuse me?" he asked after clearing his throat to get the nervousness out. He looked at the woman who started to read Witch Weekly from across the table. "My name is Rylan Seong and i'm new to the department" He figured that he better introduced himself now before the meeting started.
Inez hadn't been reading her magazine long before one of her employees had grown bored of conversing with their collegues and instead had turned his attention, and voice, towards her.
"Oh? Yes I do remember reading through your file." She nodded and then looked at him as he introduced himself. How polite. "It's nice to meet you Rylan, I am Inez."

And because she had almost spent two hours smelling its aroma, the time totally slipped her mind.
Not wanting to waste anymore time, she pushed the door open and stepped inside. Just as the chatter of people greeted her, she smiled. She was not late at all! In fact, they were still waiting for more people, she heard their new Department Head say. She already knew the woman for her former Head pointed her out during the Celebration Ball. "Good morning everyone!" She greeted the crowd as she beamed. The old employees were already used to her now. But there were surely new faces around.
Oh this girl had a good vibe, Inez could feel it.
"Good morning to you, come on in and join us." the Department Head chirped with a pleased grin. She placed her magazine back down since she wasn't getting much reading done anyways and watched as the girl took a seat. Enthusiasm for work was always a good thing in her book.

The Department Head made a quick note to talk to her later and see if there was anything she could do to help.
"Hello there, welcome come have a seat please." She said kindly.

Witch Weekly? Not the Daily Prophet? What did that mean? So much to think about!
One employee caught her eye especially and it took Inez a second to recognize her. She had caught a glance of her a few times during the Ministry Ball the other night but she had also taken note of the fact that the woman had been in this particular department for nearly 3 years and was the one that Inez had picked to take up the Apparition Supervisor position.
"Good morning, Miss Rayne is it?" She said with a grin as she placed her magazine back into her bag. She would just finish reading the article on reducing bad auruas at lunch.

Leo had never liked that magazine, it picked on innocent people and shoved them out for public humiliation. He had liked it even less since the episode at Christmas where his baby sister had been in it.
But Leo was Leo, so he smiled politely at everyone in the room. "Good morning," he said cheerily, taking a seat at random, and making sure the one next to him was open for Maine.
"Hi there, glad you could join us."
She was glad that many of them could make the meeting, it was a lot less paperwork she would have to fill out and owl later. That could be a pain she knew already.

"Oh no, don't be shy. You aren't late. Come on in and take a seat please!" Inez said with a small smile to the girl who had entered the room last. You could tell she seemed a bit nervous and was probably one of the new hires to the department.

Oh another of her new Supervisors.
"Hello Miss Wallace. Having a good morning so far?" She winked at the woman, since it would probably have been a suprise to her that she had remembered her name from the files.

Seeing the new department head already sitting in the room, he realised that he was probably late. Great. Just what makes a good impression. Taking a seat, he gave everyone around the room a quick smile. "Good morning all," Sancho said, trying to move on from how he was pretty sure he was late.
As another employee entered the conference room, Inez began to notice something--Magical Transportation seemed to be leaning towards the female population rather than males.
Nevertheless Inez grinned politely to the man as he took a seat and welcomed him back.

And there was one of her stragglers. "Come on in and have a seat dear." She saidly warmly. Inez was just about to start so it didn't matter to her, just the fact that she had arrived in time.
Alright so it seemed they were all almost there and she would be able to begin without anyone missing too much. Inez stood from her chair at the head of the table and slowly walked over to the door and closed it. After that she returned to the table to allow the chatter to slowly come to a stop.
"Good morning everyone, I am so glad to see all of you here today and to welcome the new faces to the Department of Magical Transportation." She clapped her hands together excitedly for a moment and then took her seat again.
"First order of business is an introduction and a little bit about myself. My name is Inez Grey, and I was born and raised in the States. I later attended Beuxbatons Academy of Magic in France. After I graduated there I was offered an intern position at the French Ministry of Magic which I'm not going to lie was not pleasant and almost put me off of office work for a while." She paused and caught her breath, she was still a tad nervous.
"I later was hired on at the German Ministry as a Broom Features analyst and then worked my way up in the department of magical transportation as Department Head." She then nodded knowling, because the all had an inkling of what had happened next. "After certain events that occured here at your ministry I was asked by the British Minister of Magic, our very own Alexander Greingoth to take up the position of Magical Transportation Head after Mr. Recard was dismissed."
"On that note I would just like to make it clear that the Cult of Walpurgis has fallen and its meathods and ideals will no longer be tolerated in this office or under my leadership." This was added sternly, but her face wasn't all that severe. "That being said, I plan to work hard to right any wrongs that have occured because of past leadership in the realm of Magical Transportation and get our Department back up in running order." It would take some time and immense amounts of work but they could certainly do it.
"I know our numbers are small this time around but I have confidence that we have a great team of people here on level six that are more than capable of handling our workload. Now, are they're any questions so far about myself, past Ministry business or topics you would like to bring up before we move on?" She was here for them obviously, and she would answer any question to the best of her ability.
OCC: The meeting has officially STARTED please do not announce yourself entering late because 1.) that is rude and 2.) what's the point? Just go ahead and rp as if you were already here, just like you do for the School RPG classes, right.
Leo grinned. She went straight to the point and left no room for misconceptions. It was smart. Especially when dealing with this department. Some of the people, he knew, had been close to Armen, and while Leo had not minded the man, he was never a huge fan of the old boss's treatment of the Law Enforcment Office. He could see himself loving coming to work with a boss like this. She didn't evade statement, skirt around, or try to make everybody absolutely comfortable in a way that resulted in the discomfort of most. She did what was gauranteed to win trust. Statement of fact. This was what had happened, this was what was going to happen. Leo liked it.
He nodded slightly when she asked about questions, as if to say in his opinion she'd pretty much covered what he needed to know just then. He would wait until the end with his questions, as she might address them later in the meeting and he didn't want to disrupt her order.

Andie had took some parchment along just in case notes must be taken, but she couldn't resist drawing little sketches of random things like Quidditch, food or stickmen. Being proud of her art work Andie looked up as Inez began speaking. After listening to her background Andie wondered how many languages she knew... but decided to keep her mouth shut incase it said what it liked as usual.
Victoria waited for her turn to introduce herself, the new head of department looked like a nice woman. She went into her bag to get a quill and parchment so she could make some notes.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
Rylan gave a quick nod to his new boss and silently went back to his original seat. He was about to talk to Katrina again when the meeting started. He cleared his throat before sending an apologetic look at the woman and turned his attention to the front.
Some employee's took out their note books and Rylan figured he should do the same. He had bought a new note book just for work. As the meeting began, Rylan listened fascinated at how much the woman had done already. And she didn't even look that old... Anyways, she sounded like a woman that knew what she was doing from an experience point of view and he liked that.
And there it was again, that cult. Before he applied at the Ministry he did not care about what happened in there. He had his own troubles and such. But this was the third time someone mentioned that cult and he became anxious to know what it was about and why it had *fallen*. Still, that would mean he would look like a fool and he wasn't going to risk that. He already made a good first impression to the boss so better keep quiet. The man made a mental note to himself to try and figure out what had been happening in the past by finding it out himself.
Shoving the thoughts aside, Rylan shook his head no. Indicating that he had no questions and was ready for the rest of the meeting.
Katrina smiled back at the department head politely and flipped open her folder, where a neat stack of parchment was stuffed into one side. She clicked her muggle pen and got ready to take notes, should she need to, that is. Miss Grey's introduction was long, but very much to the point. Which was good, right? It meant that she was able to get her thoughts across clearly and efficiently. Katrina glanced around slightly, to see if anyone had questions. Katrina, herself, had none but someone else might. Katrina lifted her coffee and took a sip, waiting for the meeting to continue. This was really a different way to meet everyone... Usually it was a nice brunch in the break room, she supposed this was a good change... right? It was a good thing she had eaten already, then.

Rose was a little startled to hear the department head greet her and even more started when she knew her name. Ah, well..of course, she would know her name. Rose just smiled back at her and said, "Yes, it's been pretty good."
Rose listened to Inez Grey's speech and she was quite impressed. Inez seemed to have the experience and the ability to lead the whole team..which was great. Rose couldn't say that Armen was missed but yeah..he was nice, in his own way..even if he was in a cult. How did she never know that!? Weird.
When she asked if there were any questions, Rose just shook her head. She'd made everything pretty clear so Rose just leaned back against her seat and waited.

Eliza listened as their Department Head introduced herself, she grinned, smiled and nodded occasionally. This Inez Grey, who was the new Head of the Magical Transportation Department was honest, she had a warm aura around her too. And Eliza liked that, very much.
When she was done talking, Eliza looked around to see if there was anybody who'd like to ask a question for if so, she would let them go first. But when no one shot an inquiry, she decided she'd just ask. "Uhm..what should we call you? Miss Grey or Head Grey or..." she allowed that to slip as she looked at Inez Grey.
Lana nodded at the Head of Department.. She was sorta just hit with her introductions... She thought she'd like welcome the new employee's and then get on to the meeting.. But atleast she got right to the point she was going for right?

A smile became apparent on Inez's lips as she listened to the woman ask her such an innocent question after the heavy warning of the Cult's ellimination. "You may call me Inez or Miss. Grey, either will be acceptable. But if for some reason we are in the presence of the Minister himself, please for Merlin's sake call me Miss. Grey." They got the point. She was their boss but she wasn't that cold as to not allow any sort of familiarity.

"Ok moving on from my own introduction it is obvious to most of you, from either recognition of new faces or being one yourself, we have recieved a small amount of new employees as of late and I would like you all to take a second and introduce yourself, telling us a little of who you are." Yes the old and new people. She sat back in her chair to allow for this to happen. As soon as this was through, she would begin with the business side of the meeting.
The Department Head was glad to come into a department that had some other new people entering too. She would much prefer this to coming into a fully staffed and established office where she was the outsider.
Georgie thought for a while then cleared her throat, she thought about raising her hand but this was not a classroom!
"Good morning, all of you! I'm georgie Lawson... there's not alot to know about me! I love muggles, hence why I've been put in the muggle section, I havn't done any ofice work before you I'm new to this! I'm pleased to meet all of you."
Georgie smiled when she finished.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
Introductions, right.
Rylan was about to stand up to introduce himself to the team. However, a woman named Georgie had been faster than him and even before he could do much as clear his throat she started to speak. Rylan stood upright on his feet but sat back down to let Georgie speak first.
When she was done, he quickly but gracefully stood up. "Hello everyone, my name is Rylan Seong" he said and bowed for his boss and employees. He was raised with manners. "I may look asian but i was actually born in England." he clarified this first before the other's started to ask where he was from.
"I attended Hogwart's school and was sorted in to Hufflepuff" what else. "I am currently twenty six year's old and before this i never had a full time job" Meaning, this was his first real job. "You probably wonder what i have been doing these past few years" because there were quite a few years in between his graduating and his age now.
"I had rich parent's who said i didn't needed to work, so i did what i wanted for myself and that was going on vacations and spending money..alot..." he sighed deeply as he straightened his tie out of habit. "This clearly was a mistake from me and a test from my parents because i soon ran out of money" hence that he was here now working...the money. And he had so learned about this.
"I applied at the ministry a few weeks ago and had gotten an comformation owl that i was selected as the new Floo/Fireplace Connections/Repair Worker."
He looked around at the other employee's before continuing. "I hope we can get along well" he said, a small smirk on lips as he looked at the woman he had met at the coloured umbrella café. "Thank you for listening" he added while looking back and bowed one last time.
Katrina listened carefully as everyone introduced themselves - she would try harder to remember their names this time, for sure. Last time... it hadn't gone so well. She was patient as Rylan and Georgie both introduced themselves and when the two were finished, Katrina took a sip of her coffee before standing and straightening out her blazer.
"Good morning, welcome to all of you new employees," Katrina started as she looked at all of them. This was definitely different, she couldn't remember doing this... ever. "I'm Katrina Rayne, and I graduated from Hogwarts about five years ago as a Slytherin," she continued. That was a good start, right? It wasn't as long as the Department Head's yet... yet, being the key word. Oh dear Merlin, she hoped she didn't stumble any words! How embarrassing would that be?
Katrina kept her hands at her side, trying not to fidget with the watch around her wrist. "I'm currently twenty-two and I've been in the Department of Magical Transportation for about three years now. Upon arriving at the Ministry, I worked as a broom regulator, but then I was switched over to work as the Apparition Written Examiner," Katrina paused slightly before continuing again. "But now, with Miss Grey's promotion, I am now the Senior Apparition Examiner and Supervisor," Katrina finished with a smile.
And to finish it off... "And, as you'll soon realize, I'm quite a... fan of coffee..." Maybe fan was just an understatement. "But I do hope we all get along and I look forward to working with all of you even if we do not work under the same division," Katrina said, smiling at all of them. She was genuinely excited to work with all these new people with new faces. Katrina sat back down in her seat, took a sip of her coffee, continued to smile and waited for the next person to stand and introduce themselves.

Introduce himself? Everyone here knew who Leo was. His family was hardly invisible to the public eye. But he figured it was polite, so he shrugged slightly. "I'm Leo Black, I've been with Magical Transportation for two years now. I'm a huge Quidditch fanatic, and I work in Broom Features Development." Obviously. That was the only place to work if you wanted to create cool brooms.
He flashed a quirky smile. "I graduated from Gryffindor House in Hogwarts four years ago. I have one little sister, and, um" what else was he supposed to say? It sounded as if everybody else's introductions had been much longer. "That's about it. I'm really pleased to be working with all of you." There. That was a good closing.
Victoria saw that it was her turn to introduce herself so she said "Hello I am Victoria Potter Weasley, I was born in England! My parents was killed by death eaters when I was nine years old! I attended Hogwarts for the last seven years where I was sorted into Ravenclaw before I started this job". She didn't want to mention her husband it was too painful still.

So, Miss Grey then. That means their new Department Head wasn't married yet right? Eliza looked around and decided to not just ask the question, it was becoming a bit more personal..
Then, introductions. One by one, the new and old employees had said their piece. She listened of course and tried to remember every bit about her co-workers. When it was her time to speak, she stood up. Breathe. "Well..good morning..again," why..she couldn't remember doing this when Recard was still in charge. "And welcome to our new fellow employees, I'm Eliza Lallayne Tohsaka. But please feel free to call me Liz. I'm half Japanese and half American. And like Ms. Rayne here," she took a quick glance at Katrina's direction, "I also graduated from Hogwarts five years ago and I'm also currently twenty two years old." She nodded.
She was done right? Ah..ending. "I do hope we'd all be able to work efficiently in the future," she said. And after giving a smile as she moved her head around, she returned back to her seat.

Jayden looked the new lady over. So... this was the new department head?
"I'm Jayden Monroe." he said introducing himself. He gave a little wave and a little nod. "I've been in this department for... 6 years now." And he was still amazed that he'd managed to stay in one place that long.
What else could he say? "I enjoy traveling." And he was easily distracted by anything shiny. But that probably wasn't the best thing to mention in front of his new boss.
"And I'm recently engaged." In case anyone didn't hear his squealing and giggling announcement a few months prior.

Introductions.. Of course.. Why not? .. Being polite, well of course! She smiled as the other members of the department.. gave the brief introduction! All seemed to be descent people... Polite, organized and other qualitys...
''I am, Lana Braxton, I was born in America, I attended Hogwarts witch craft and wizardry, Where I was then sorted into Gryffindor,'' Erm... ''I'm twenty six! I am currently new to this department and I am now a Broom Shop/Company Liason,'' Seemed to be enough she didn't want to give the whole background story and the other personal stuff just.. Basics would do
"Firstly, I would like to welcome all the newcomers." Gosh, she hoped it was the right thing to do.
Rose smiled and gave a small wave. "Well, hello everyone. I'm Rose Wallace and I'm twenty-nine years old. I've been working in this department for almost two years now. I started out as a Portkey registration and Record Keeper and with the recent promotion by Miss Grey, I'm now the Portkey Supervisor General." Yep, this is good.
"I'd like to offer my best wishes to Jayden here on his recent engagement. I got engaged recently as well." Rose grinned, trying not to laugh or squeal or just jump around. Needless to say, that would be embarrassing.
Georgie thought for a while then cleared her throat, she thought about raising her hand but this was not a classroom!

Inez couldn't help but smile as Georgie introduced herself and gushed about her love of Muggles. "Well it's nice to meet you Georgie, and I'm glad you are so enthusiastic about our non-magical counterparts, you were definately placed in the right position it seems."

The first thing the Department Head noticed about Rylan was that this man was polite and knew a great deal about manners--something she valued very highly and things that were great for the workplace.
"Well its always good to have people around that know how to work to better their mistakes and again it is very nice to meet you Rylan." She was glad to have him in her department so far.

Katrina sat back down in her seat, took a sip of her coffee, continued to smile and waited for the next person to stand and introduce themselves.
Hearing Katrina's story in person only confirmed Inez's initial belief that this was a young woman of strength and power in her career and again reaffirmed her pleasure of giving her a promotion.
"Coffee is quite a crutch sometimes isn't it?" She chuckled along with the woman, and nodded that her introduction was perfect.

Ooh a Gryffindor and a Quidditch fan. This man must be a thrill seeker and quite brave. Well if, Merlin forbid, something happen in the office perhaps Inex could count on him to help her out.
"Well spoken, its good to meet you Leo." She smiled brightly at him and then turned her attention to the next person to speak.

O___o
"Oh.. um Victoria I am so sorry to hear about your parents. That really is a horrific thing you've had to experience. But I hope things are better for you now." Wow, Inez hadn't been prepared for that answer at all and was just glad she was able to speak at all.
Clearly the poor dear was having some problems and Inez hoped she would feel comfortable enough to express them to her later if she needed to. "Its nice to meet you Victoria, dear."

Inez offered another kind smile to the young Broom Shop Liason. "Well it's wonderful to have you with us Liz. And I hope things all work out efficiently too."
These meet and greet introductions were going quite well if she did say so herself!

What else could he say? "I enjoy traveling." And he was easily distracted by anything shiny. But that probably wasn't the best thing to mention in front of his new boss.
"And I'm recently engaged." In case anyone didn't hear his squealing and giggling announcement a few months prior.
"Oh my, well you've been here for quite some time Jayden." That really was impressive, the man who held the Department Head office before she did was there for 10 years--Jayden was just below that.
Oh and an engagement?! "Oh how lovely, I would love to meet you fiance one day soon." She said with a bright smile. Inez did love weddings even though her past engagement hadn't ended very well.

It seemed that many of her employees were all around the same age which, she hoped, meant they would all work together quite well. They were past the fighting and bickering teenage years at least.
"Its wonderful to meet you Lana and again welcome to the Ministry of Magic." smiles all around.

Again the second promotion she had handed out upon taking up the role of Department Head was met with no regrets. Inez listened intently as Rose told her story of employement at the Ministry and she nodded at the woman when she ended.
"I look forward to seeing your work Rose." She was sure it would be perfect.
So now that everyone had introduced themselves the atmosphere in the conference room wasn't as stuffy and informal as it was when she first arrived. Then only a few people had been talking but now she hoped everyone felt as if they were part of the Magical Transportation family.
"Ok well now that we are finished with the introductions, I think it would be safe to move on to some matters of business." She nodded pulling a folder to rest in front over her on the tabletop. "Now it has come to my attention after reading through some work files from the previous months Mr. Recard had placed a heavy emphasis on the Apparition Division and specifically the testing of Magical Law Enforcment employees. Whilst doing this production and hours were ignored in the other three remaining divisions. This is unacceptable and will be corrected."
She looked up at these words with a curt nod. They were not in trouble; it hadn't been their fault their boss had been more worried about unnecessarily testing perfectly qualified members of another department as if they were adolesants and letting Porkeys, Floos, and Brooms fall to the wayside. "With the two promotions of Miss Katrina Rayne and Miss Rose Wallace, I hope to ensure a better more structured leadership and production in all the departments."
"Miss Smith will continue to head up the Floo Network Authority which leaves the matter of the open Supervisor position in Brooms. I have purposefully left this position open because I would like to fill it with one of you broom regulatory employees after seeing how well you work." She grinned. Inez was confident in each and every one of them.
The Department Head let her gaze fall on all of them as she scanned the room. The meeting was beginnning to come to an end soon, it wasn't meant to be a long one, for she planned to meet with them again soon about more specific tasks once they were posted. "Now if there are not any questions, the meeting will be dismissed after my final announcements."
"My office door is always open if you wish to speak to me about matters of personal life, work, or you would simply just like to chat." She was a human being too. She liked to have company. "And most importantly I will be posting beginning tasks and jobs for you all tomorrow on the Announcements and Tasks board for you all to begin on. Further instruction will be given on those with their posting."
Phew, this was a long spout of lecturing. "If you don't have any questions you are free to go ahead and make yourself at home in your new desks or grab a bite to eat in the breakroom and get your self aquainted with each other."
OCC: I know its a super short meeting but once tasks are posted this weekend, work will begin and Inez will be about helping and talking to everyone about what all they will need to do. This was just a bit of introduction-type stuff to get you all welcome and to allow Inez to meet you all and lay down the rules and let you know she is going to try and fix the Cult's wrongs in the department.
Hearing Katrina's story in person only confirmed Inez's initial belief that this was a young woman of strength and power in her career and again reaffirmed her pleasure of giving her a promotion.

Katrina laughed along with the department head, although a bit nervously. To help herself calm down, she drained the rest of her coffee... it wasn't like she couldn't get more after the meeting right? Of course she could, she knew the coffee machine like the back of her hand - maybe even better.
She listened carefully to everyone's stories and backgrounds, grateful to have some names to match up to the faces. Katrina looked over at the Department head as Miss Grey started to speak once more, and clicked her pen closed... then back open to take notes if she needed to regarding assignments and the like. However, Katrina just clicked her pen closed, seeing as it was just a brief... introduction really to what they would be doing in the future. Katrina smiled at the department head and stood from her seat at the conference table at the dismissal.
"I look forward to working with you, Miss Grey," Katrina said to the department, gathering her things and leaving the conference. Off to the break room she went... for a refill on coffee and maybe she ought to redecorate her desk... just some updates and the whatnot, after all? Right? If she felt up to decorating later that is.
Coffee was calling right now.

Leo was not a man of many words, but he was intelligent. The thing was, Leo didn't believe in talking just to talk. He really only spoke when he had something to say. But he did listen. And he heard every word his new boss said about the Broom Regulatory Department. The thing was, he also new he was well qualified for the job. He had been the one to come up with most of the features this year, as his two co-workers had hardly even shown up. Leo flashed Miss Grey a bright smile, and silently resolved to work twice as hard as he had the previous year in the hopes that it would be him soon promoted into the vacant position.
He stood, and reached out his hand to shake hers as he would in any professional situation. "I look forward to working with you, Miss Grey." He said honestly. She really did seem so straightforward and professional. Leo admired that. She was everything Armen hadn't been, and several things he had. The one thing Leo had liked about Armen Recard was that he had always been friendly with Leo. Treated him as a person instead of a lower worker. Miss Inez Grey seemed prepard to do the same, and at the same time expected quality work in a timely fashion. Leo was delighted to begin this new system of management.

Whoever the male was that Andrew had seated himself next to, he hadn't made any introductions, nor had he volunteered any information himself. But what he did notice was the fact that a younger, dark-haired woman took the seat on the other side of him. And for some bizarre reason, he was reminded of Emily... on his wedding day.
And her youthfulness. Made him think about Ollie. And Aaron. He swallowed. Apparently even being away from brooms, he couldn't forget. He could never forget. But he realized something else just then too. He didn't want to either.

She paused and caught her breath, she was still a tad nervous.
He sat up straighter when the boss lady addressed them all, introducing herself first. Narcissist. And tilted his head to the side when she mentioned something about a Cult of Walpurgis. Yes, he thought he read something like that in the paper around the time of Emily's death.
No questions though. So he just sat silently.

Yes the old and new people. She sat back in her chair to allow for this to happen. As soon as this was through, she would begin with the business side of the meeting.
The Department Head was glad to come into a department that had some other new people entering too. She would much prefer this to coming into a fully staffed and established office where she was the outsider.
Introductions. He waited and listened as two females mentioned having just got engaged. More thoughts to Emily and for some reason, Andrew just felt like blurting out a don't let yourselves get too attached or something melodramatic. But he resisted.
"Andrew Rose. Former Beater for the Kenmare Kestrals, and proud father to an eleven year old, who just started his first year at Hogwarts this past September." And that was all they needed to know. Wasn't it? Oh wait. "Oh and currently records liaison for Apparition division." Bleh. Quidditch was his strong point, not playing secretary, but for some reason he couldn't bring himself to play the sport. Not since . . .

And just like that. The meeting was over. Andrew glanced around at his counterparts at they stood and rose to either get to work or head to the breakroom. He just sat there a moment longer. Maybe he'd find out who the dark haired young woman was next to him.
Or not. He wasn't in any condition to date. Even if she was clearly way under his age limit. And well.... meeting people... it just didn't strike him as something he wanted to do right now. Even if he knew, deep down, it would be of benefit.
So what he did do instead; rose from his chair and headed off in search of his desk. Nothing like pouring himself into a good book on researching mediocre things.
