Alexander Greingoth EraAll historical records pertaining to Ministry of Magic RPG under Minister for Magic, Alexander Greingoth [IC January 2076 - December 2081; OOC January 2012 - June 2013]
Armen Recard was on the floor and everyone had better look out. He was on a mission to come meet Borr and he was not about to let anyoen stop him for petty questions about what his business was or if he had an appointment.
Stepping into the office of the Undersecretaries Armen turned and saw that Greingoth was speaking to the Media Liason, Miss Ward who he had so wonderfully gotten to talk to about the goings on in his department. With a quick polite nod at the woman and a winning smile, he then turned to the man. "Greingoth, no worries Lord Borr is expecting me and I will just let myself in so as to not bother you."
And he walked right on by and opened the large ornate doors to the Minister's Office.

Victoria entered the office steadily after knocking on the half-opened door. She's never been here before, usually other secretaries are sent here. As she entered she was welcomed with the beautiful decorations, portraits and plants. She remembered when they choose the plants…it was their assignment. She admired their choice smiling but then she remembered why was she here.
She put a loose strand of hair behind her ear and stood in the middle between the two desks but she was a bit closer to the junior undersecretary for it's closer to the door. She cleared her throat , "Hi, I'm the Victoria" she said "The secretary, I have a maintenance employee in the lobby she's saying that she's responsible of Minister Borr's dry cleaning and his shoes" she said "I mean polishing his shoes" she explained smiling "So is it a good time to let her in?" she wondered glancing at the door that leads to the minister's office. As far as she knows the minister isn't here now but she was worried that at any moment he is going to open the door and who knows what does he want.

Alexander turned from Ward for a split second to raise an eyebrow at the intruding department head passing through the office. Alexander had long ago learned that Ricard was a man who was lacking in two prominent areas. One, manners, and two, knowledge of his standing on the position ladder that made up the Ministry of Magic.
However, there was nothing he could say of it now. He did, however, need to speak with Bole about having security stand just outside the door. The Minister himself was grounds enough to warrant having them, and he'd have loved to have seen Ricard given the run around a little before being allowed through.

Alexander's attention was pulled away from Ricard when he heard a different voice at the office door. "Ah, Miss...." Victoria? He wasn't keen on calling his employees by their first names. He was keen on maintaining a professional tone at all times. "Smith," he finished.
"Dry cleaning and shoe shining?" he asked, turning his head from the woman to the closed door that led to the Minister's Office. "Oh, for Merlin's sake!" he exclaimed, turning back around. "Not you, Miss Smith. The assignment." This was not what the employees had been hired to do! He gestured toward the closed office door. "Well, send them in, then."

The blonde secretary nodded in total agreement as Mr. Greingoth mentioned the assignment ,she almost opened her mouth to give her opinion of how the assignments shouldn't be just about the minister. It should be related to the MINISTRY . However, luckily she didn't open her mouth she instead bit her lower lip. Because it's hard to maintain quite when she works as a secretary that requires talking skills.
Victoria nodded again taking a step backward, "Yes Sir, I'll send them in."Them? there's only one employee? Never mind, she glanced one last time at the doors to the minister's office wondering if he was in there. She then turned on her heals to call the maintenance employee.

Melanie entered the Undersecretaries' office. Her eyes widened. The room was very spacious and magnificent. Many paintings hung around the wall around her as she proceeded over to the Junior Undersecretary's desk.
"Hi. I'm Melanie Rosaline Caparelli and part of the Ministry Maintenance department.I'm here to come pick up the Minister's dry cleaning and to help shine his shoes."

OOC: He meant 'them' as in, ...he didn't know whether the employee coming in was a man or woman, so he used the general term 'them'.
Despite the ridiculousness of the assignment this Maintenance employee was here to do, Alexander managed a smile toward his secretary. "Thank you, Miss Smith," he said, then gave her a nod as she walked out the room.
He sighed as the Maintenance employee entered the room. "Dry cleaning and shoe shining, hmm? Very well then," he said, glancing toward the Minister's door. "Just knock on that door," he added, pointing toward the door that connecting this office to the Minister's, "and he'll call for you when he's ready."
"Oh, and...good luck," he added, then he gave the employee an apologetic look as he got back to his paperwork.

Knocking on the door lightly, Victoria entered the office steadily. She stood there, cleared her throat and began," I have Miss Gina Latorta from the International Cooperation, She's here with few students from Hogwarts school" She motioned to the door behind her as if to point at them, "And they are here to see the Minister." Another glance at the door that leads to the minister's office. Again she was hoping that she won't have to deal with the Minister herself.

Once again, a knock sounded on the door. Alexander wrinkled his eyebrows inward in annoyance. If he was meant any of this blasted paperwork done, then a permanent to all afternoon visitors was going to have to be put into place. He sighed and waved his wand in the direction of the door. As the door opened, he forced his facial expression into something a little more pleasant.
"From the school, you say?" Alexander asked, suddenly appearing more upbeat and positive toward the interruption. "That would be my daughter, you know. One of the students, I mean--the brunette from Slytherin house." He turned toward the closed door that led to Borr's office. He had half a mind to have Recard and the shoe-shiner escorted out so that his daughter's visitation could have top priority. "Well, send them in then."

Victoria was cautious knowing that she had interrupted a couple of times today. And it seemed that everyone on Level one was busy. She made a mental note to go and check her friends in the cubicles but on the break of course.
However, Mr.Greingoth's mood seemed to improve when he heard about the students. His daughter, the brunette one, It never came across Victoria's mind that undersecretaries have children....well ,why wouldn't they they're regular people! Anyway, Victoria made another mental note to have a closer look on her. Lots of mental notes today.
"Oh that's your daughter Sir," she commented smiling, "I'll let them in right away." she said nodding. She wanted to offer to help but she wasn't keen on going into the minister's office. A glance at the door and a creepy feeling about what's going on.
The blonde secretary nodded again and turned on her heals leaving the room.

Kurumi entered the office and immediately recognized the man standing immediately in front of them, but not because she had seen a picture of him, but because she had heard so much about him from Sierra over the summer. The knot in her stomach grew more and more as she approached him, not knowing how he was going to react to seeing Kurumi. His daughter had only run away to Kurumi's home over the summer without telling him. The fourth year wasn't even sure if Sierra had told her father about what had happened...but Professor Lafay had mentioned sending an owl to him to inform him about what had happened.
Swallowing, Kurumi bowed in his direction and wondered if she should greet or say anything to him. "Mr. Greingoth," she finally managed to say after a few moments of what was to her a very VERY tense silence.

Eino quietly and very curiously followed the rest of the students into the undersecretaries offices. It wasn't a big as he had imagined it to be, and it definitely wasn't as homey as the professors' offices at school. He made way to the center of the room, towards the tall figure and paused. He didn't really know what to expect from the conclusion of this tour, but he hoped they would get a piece of candy like he usually got from the healers after getting a vaccine. He tucked his little notebook in his messenger bag and waited.

With a pleased smirk on her face, Sierra followed the others into...well, her father's office. Once inside, she edged past them and made way to her father's desk. "Hello, Daddy," she said, momentarily giving the woman inside the office (Medea Ward, Junior Undersecretary) a brief nod before giving her father her full attention.
At the sound of his daughter's voice, Alexander rose from his chair and came around to the front of his desk. "Ah, ...there's my girl," he said, wrapping her into a tight hug. By nature, Greingoth's weren't very overly-friendly or overly-outgoing people. Contrary to that, though, was the way they treated one another. Those inside the Greingoth's inner circle typically saw a much different Alexander and Sierra than what most of the world saw.
Father and daughter shared a moment before both Alexander and Sierra turned back to the group.

Clearing his throat, Alexander stepped forward and looked the three students in the eye. "Alexander Greingoth," he stated, in his professional-sounding voice. "Senior Undersecretary to..." He paused and glanced toward the closed door. "...the Minister of Magic. Most importantly, though, I am Sierra's father." He eyed them, trying to mentally determine which was the Gryffindor, the Ravenclaw, and the Hufflepuff.
He extended a hand out to each of the students. "Level one, as I'm sure you well know, is home to those working directly for or directly next to our Minister of Magic. Ms. Medea Ward," he said, gesturing to the woman seated at the other desk, "will escort you beyond those doors," he added, nodding toward a closed door toward the back, "and into the Minister of Magic's Office."
As he finished speaking, his gaze landed on one of the girls (Kurumi), and he promptly raised an eyebrow. "Hollingberry," Pause. "I presume?"
OOC: redifer plays Medea Ward (the Junior Undersecretary), but seeing as she is on a camping trip until Sunday, she will not be able to post until then. She'll join in soon, though!

Kurumi bowed again when the man in front of them began speaking. There was something in him that reminder her of her own father, but a scary version of him. While Kurumi's father demanded attention, this man EXPECTED it. Something about the loving gaze that he gave his daughter told her that he wasn't as bad as the impression he tried give off. Kurumi swallowed when he addressed her directly, calling her by her last name - must be something with the family...and Lafay - and she froze. Merlin, did he know she knew about...well...everything?
"Y-Yes, sir," she said as she offered him another polite bow. The eyebrow raise was scary. Could be please lower it?

The dark haired woman shuffled some paperwork to the side as the children filed in. She entwined and rested her hands on the desk, nodding politely to each child. Medea was unaware that Mr. Greingoth had children, honestly it wasn’t her business. She very rarely spent work time on anything other than work – that included getting chatty about personal issues.
Medea’s one weak spot was and will always be children; she smiled softly at the tender embrace. It looked as though Mr. Greingoth and his daughter had a good relationship, a fact that didn’t surprise her.
As the Senior Undersecretary addressed her she moved to large door at the back of the room. ”Good morning, as Mr. Greingoth said I’m Ms. Ward, the Junior Undersecretary.”
With a Vanna White-like swish of her hand she motioned to the Minister’s office door. ”This is the Minister’s office, I believe he’s in and waiting for us.”
Medea knocked on the door, and then turned the knob opening the door slightly.
”Lord Borr? The children from Hogwarts are here to see you.”

Alexander let a few moments pass while he simply stared at the girl, trying to put into words exact what he wished to say. "Tell me, Miss Hollingberry," he said, leaving his daughter's side and stepping a small step closer to the girl. "Well, I finally meet the Miss Hollingberry. I'd like to extend my appreciation for your family's hospitality during the summer. I'm assuming you know what I am referring to." He gave his daughter a quick glance, assuming she, too, knew what he was referring to. "As hospitable as the efforts were, I would appreciate notification in the future when my daughter is transported halfway across the world. Please extend both my appreciation and my message to your father."
Having said that, "Welcome again to level one," he said, nodding once in the direction of all four students.

OOC to all tour students: The Minister's Office will be the last stop on your tour. You may post leaving here, but please also direct your roleplay to this thread. When you do post there, please remember your character is NOT yet inside the office but is waiting at the door with Miss Ward.
When the roleplay in the Minister's Office is done, please just assume that a Ministry Official escorted you back to the school.

Penny wasn't sure how she felt about meeting the Minister of Magic, from what she'd heard and read about him - she thought she probably would not enjoy the experience...
Nevertheless, Penny queued up behind the other students, led by Sierra of course, as they entered the Minister's office.
Zach stood in front of the door of the Undersecretary offices. He has no business matter to do here, but he just thought that this is the first stop he should make, after that holiday that he had...
He knocked at the door and waited patiently for a response.
He looked at his watch and checked his robe and coat. He is a bit dizzy still and his mindset is not for work yet but he needs more effort.

Alexander grinned at the students, specifically his daughter, as they excited the office and headed away to meet up with Borr. Borr... Perhaps he should have asked his daughter to stay behind? He looked toward the door for a brief moment, considered it, but then dropped the matter altogether when he heard a knock at his door.
Dear Merlin! The office was as busy as King's Cross Station today!
He pushed himself away from the seat behind his desk and headed toward the door. He peered out the one-way viewing glass, noticed his guest was one of the advisors, and then turned the knob to open the door. "Mr. McMillan," he said with a nod. "Well, come in then." He stepped away from the door and headed back to the seat behind his desk, expecting the man to close the door once inside.

He cleared his throat and said, "Good day, Sir. I was just here to report for duty. I just got back from my holidays and funny enough i received some interesting fliers." he said looking at the Undersecretary's face.
He became quiet for a little while and then spoke softly. "I cannot say that I agree with it, I'm only after the good of the government." he said and paused.

With McMillan on one side of the desk and Alexander on the other, the Senior Undersecretary folded his hands in front of him as he looked toward the Advisor. "Ahh, yes, I figured you'd be checking back in," he commented. "A holiday, hmm? I'm guessing it went well?" Alexander had been on a bit of a holiday himself. He'd spent the entire Christmas break with his fiancee and his daughter, and although they hadn't gone anywhere specific, being home with them had been more than enough.
"Some fliers, hmm?" Alexander responded. Fliers went in an out of the Ministry on a daily basis, so there was really no telling which one in particular McMillan was here about. Although, Alexander did have a pretty good idea. "Which particular flier would this be? There's been quite a few creeping around the place as of late."

Zach smiled and answered, "I went for a trip to my old work place in Australia and to visit some old friends as well." he said looking really excited, "And since its summer there, had a nice weeks on the beach." he said looking reminiscent.
His attitude and aura changed, and then he looked around and said, "Should we be talking about it?" he said and then "about these fliers" he said, flicking his wand and making an image of a piece of crumpled paper on top of the desk of the Undersecretary.

Alexander had had a wonderful time, as well. He'd spent the entire holiday with his girlfriend and his daughter; and the best part was, he'd become engaged, making his girlfriend his fiancee and future wife. Of course he didn't share this information with the man sitting across from him. They weren't on personal terms, and even then, Alexander wasn't keen on sharing too much personal information. "Well, I'm glad to hear you had a good time," he said, deciding that a general comment would be best.
The man looked around then, an action Alexander knew all too well. Ahh, so this was the true reason for the visit. Just as he suspected. No one made friendly visits anymore, something that suited Alexander just fine. He eyed the image of the parchment before turning his attention to McMillan. "Mr. McMillan, the action you take with the parchment is entirely up to you, as I will neither encourage nor discourage employees to take part in the strike," he answered. He thought for a moment then added, "Tell me--do you agree with the leadership Minister Borr has given us?"
OOC: I apologize for the late reply. It's Thanksgiving here in America, and I have family here. I'll be in and out until Saturday. I'll be here properly then.

Zach wasn't surprised with the answer of the Undersecretary. After all a good politician never sides with anything. He thought about what Alexander has said and replied.
"Like I said, I couldn't care less who run the Ministry, all I am concerned is the implications of these things to the country and the people." he said spoken like a real politician, one of the areas of expertise he have always wanted to venture in, but never really admitted to himself.
"As for the leadership that Minister Borr has delivered to us by far, I do agree to some of his points, even though it rooted for narcissistic and egotistical views but I also contest some of his ideas." he wanted to state some examples, but he is not in the right place to do that.
OOC: Sorry i have a huge birthday week and is always away from the computer...
