Straightenign her dress and looking into her handmirror one last time she shook of all the worried and knocked on the door.
Now to wait for an answer, that would be the worst part.
Alexander stood and walked to the door. He could have easily used his wand to open it, but he felt it better to interact with his employees rather than just sit behind a desk all day. "Miss Lane," he greeted, giving the new Media Liaison a smile, "come in, please." He did use his wand to summon a chair to the other side of his desk, and then he took his usual seat behind the desk.
"I have your first assignment for you," he said, looking over at her. "Other than the one from Minister Borr, that is." He flipped through a few pieces of paperwork and then handed her a single piece of parchment. He looked toward the door. "Have you seen a Declan Wynter out there, as well?" he asked.
Poppy followed the Greensloth man, or whatever his name, back to his office, humming to a happy tune. She gave a little twirl at the door, before entering the office, and then proceeded inside as she removed her adorable little hat. She was giddy with excitement! She could hardly believe she was going to be promoted! Maybe she was going to get her own little office now, or her own department, or her own floor, or her own building! Regardless, she had to begin making plans for the interior design pronto! Best part of all of this would be doing nothing and having people do everything for her, and all the pink she would have floating around. "So?!" She said impatiently, clutching onto the man's arm.

Ohhhh her first real assignment?Oh my god this was sooo exciting, the 23year old had no idea what that could be but she was really eager to hear it."Okay sounds good",she nodded," i am really looking forward to my work. What is it about, sir?"Ohhh yeeees, her new employment definitely was amazing.Taking the single piece of parchment from the man the girl wrinkled her forehead.Declan Wynter? Was he a new media liaison too?"I am sorry but no i havent seen someone with that name",she shook her head. Were they supposed to work together? That dude better show up soon then.

Alexander narrowed his eyes in annoyance as he picked up the sound of Pricklepotter's whistle. Did the woman really feel it necessary to be so overly-happy mere feet away from him?! "Miss Prickle--...," he began. Couldn't she have a regular last name, like Smith or Potter?! "...pot." That was it, yes? Pricklepot?
He shook his arm, loosening it from her grip and pulling it away. He summoned another chair to the front of his desk. "The chair, please," he said. "I'll be with you in just a moment, Miss Pricklepot. Just sit right there and..."try not to tear up my office..."...we'll talk as soon as I'm done with Miss Lane."

He leaned forward and tapped the parchment. "Mr. Ian Hoshino is the editor of the Daily Prophet. His name and information, as well as the location of the Daily Prophet should you not know it, is listed here," he said. He leaned back in his chair again, eying Pricklepot to make sure she was still behaving herself. "Now what we'd like to do is communicate our happenings to the Daily Prophet, and you, as Media Liaison, will help ensure that happens."
"You'll need to visit each department head individually. Chat with them and get a brief summary of what they'd like to report to the Daily Prophet," he continued. "Take notes on what they say and then, when you've got something from all the department heads, you'll meet with Hoshino to discuss the information." He looked at her for a few seconds and then added, "I'd like to see these notes before you speak with Hoshino, Miss Lane. Catch up with me first, and then I'll have my secretary set up an appointment for you at the Daily Prophet."
"Any questions?" he asked. "Oh, and Miss Lane? Do let each department head read your notes on their department before you leave their office." They, too, needed to be aware of exactly what was going to be reported about their offices.
OOC: Alright, so what you'll need to do is send each department head an owl message (PM) asking to set up an appointment with them. Then you just RP your charrie going to each office and getting the information from the department head. Make sure you take notes, as you'll need the notes to show Alexander and the editor at the Daily Prophet. Any questions, feel free to PM me!

Poppy was way ahead of Greensloth, and had already taken a seat by the the time he offered. Except, she had sat on his chair. After giggling herself silly she got up and sat on the other chair, but not without charming it pink first. What a dreadful looking place, it might as well be an Azkaban cell!
Ugh, he was making her wait?! He could at least offer tea or candy or something. Eh, never mind. She had her own candy. She dug her hand in her purse and pulled out a handful of Bertie Bott's ever flavor beans and stuffed her mouth... like a lady! She glared at Miss LAME, just itching to hex the woman out of the room. She wanted her new promotion and she wanted it now. Eating would help! She dug her hand in her handbag again and stuffed her mouth again. As she chewed she kept staring at the woman as threateningly as possible. LEAVE!

As he waited for his new Media Liaison to reply to her latest task, Alexander swiveled his chair slightly to the side and turned to face Pricklepot. What a name--Pricklepot. It seemed to fit the woman perfectly, though. His eyes closed in pure annoyance as he took in the appearance of the chair she'd charmed pink. "You have my expectations that the chair will be back as it was before you leave this office," he stated. Then he opened his eyes, hoping she'd have already changed it back; but no. There it was--all pretty and pink sitting right before him. He gave it a disgusted look before saying anything else.
"Miss Pricklepot, remind me again--what are your previous work experiences?" he asked. Looking at her, he was reminded of her age, and so he thought to add "...just a general summary will do just fine." He folded his hands in front of him on the desk. "...and tell me, Miss Pricklepot. At these previous work places, were the employees allowed to run free and do as they wish? Run away from their bosses? Cause general chaos?" he asked. He wondered if she even got the meaning behind his words.

Poppy had been impatiently waiting for her promotion, and finally Greensloth decided to shift his attention to the better woman her. She could see the sparkle in his eyes, the way he looked at the chair. He liked it. Although, there seemed to be a slight problem, very common actually. Apparently the chair was too fabulous it was blinding him. "Oh, course I will!" She reassured him with no real intention to change the chair back. She could tell that he was only being polite, to unburden her, but she would leave him a nice present! Instead of pink, she was going to charm it green with sloth patterns! Great idea. She giggled in response to her own fabulous plan.
Clapping her hands and rubbing the together, she leaned forward as he began to interview her. He had to make it seem fair but it was pretty obvious it was only a charade so other people didn't think he was being unfair. As he began to speak, she halted him momentarily to apply a twentieth layer of pink lipstick, blush, then finally enlarge her eyelashes. When she was done, she batted her eyelashes and listen to him. "Well," she began, crossing her leg and placing her hands neatly on her lap, "I worked for Draupnir's Dingy Diddly Doodads ever since I graduated Hogwarts. I was the co-inventor for the majority of my employment there, although I started out as a simple secretary, then held the position of inventor analyst for a short time before getting promoted." She explained and paused to hear his next question. "Ah, well, of course they could not! But I could, of course!" She giggled. Poppy had the liberty to do anything she wanted since her boss, Draupnir, was such a pushover. She didn't really understand why Greensloth was asked her about other employers, was he hiring someone else from Draupnir's Dingy Diddly Doodads? Nonetheless, she played along because she knew she would get her promotion in the end.
A sudden flash of pale-violet appears in the office, and upon looking up, one can see that an interdepartmental memo in the form of a folded paper airplane has made its way in.
Once caught and unfolded, the memo inside will read:
Minister Berty Borr has called a mandatory meeting with the Senior Undersecretary and all Ministry Department Heads. The meeting will commence immediately in Courtroom 10 on the tenth level of the Ministry of Magic. Please be on time and bring with you all ideas and responses to the recent memo regarding the rejuvenating of our spirits and the oxygenating of our halls.

Lizzie knocked lightly on the door, holding a roll of parchment in her hand. They had finally finished their list of ways to 'oxygenate' the workspace. Ugh. It wasn't a particularly creative list, but it was practical. Simple things like plants and new wall colours. Hopefully it would please Borr... and, of course, Mr. Greingoth.
SPOILER!!: Parchment
Ways to 'Oxygenate' the Ministry Work Areas
- add more plants
- put more artwork on the walls
- nice carpet/wood floor
- paint the walls a nice colour, eg. light blue
- more windows to let in natural light
- comfier chairs
- nicer looking furniture
- herb garden in the breakroom - pretty, refreshing and useful.
- bowls containing specialty designed candies
- enchanted windows with different sceneries for each day
- place abstract art and sculptures around the building
- Sun charm (Meteorologic Aprica) to make it sunny
- new lights
- adding simple furniture, e.g. couches and coffee tables
- bright enchanted canvases to make the building more cheerful
- coloured curtains to match the walls
- simple floral arrangments

From the moment Pricklepot opened her mouth, Alexander was already closing his eyes in annoyance. That voice, that happy-go-lucky, extremely loud voice, would haunt him in his sleep tonight. He opened his eyes slowly, hoping maybe she'd vanished or something, but no--there she was. Just as he'd asked her to be.
...and of course she had to clap before speaking again. "Go on, Miss Pricklepot," he said. At least he'd heard she'd been an excellent employee in the small amount of time she'd been here. He might tell her later if she didn't have him wincing in annoyance at the sound of her voice. Wait--was she applying make-up?! "MISS PRICKLEPOT!" he yelled, sitting straight up. "Get on with the blasted response!" His eyebrows slanted inward in annoyance throughout the duration of her response.
He'd just opened his mouth to reply when a pale-violet paper airplane made its way in.

Alexander caught the paper airplane and eyed both Pricklepot and Lane as he opened it. "Excuse me just a moment," he told them. His eyes returned to the paper, scanning it and taking in the details of the memo. When he was done, he sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose with his finger and thumb. "Alright, I've got something to attend to straight away, so I'm afraid our meeting has been cut short. Miss Lane, if you have any further questions, just contact myself or my secretaries." He turned to Pricklepot. "You are momentarily dismissed. I'll owl you another time."
He gave both women a polite smile before grabbing the jacket to his suit and heading toward the door.

Just as he moved out from behind his desk and started the walk to the door, he realized he had yet to get the master list from Hathaway. He was in a hurry now, though, and so he could only hope she'd finished by now. He opened the door, nearly walking out of it before he realized Hathaway was standing just before him, parchment in hand.
"Oh, Miss Hathaway," he said, accepting the parchment from her and scanning it quickly. "You are very, very well-appreciated." He gave her a look mixed with relief and anticipation. "I have a meeting beginning straight away," he said, holding up the parchment, "...regarding this. You'll see that Miss Lane and Miss Pricklepot find their way out?" He regarded her with a nod and then edged past her and out of the office. Shortly afterward, he was leaving level one and headed toward the courtrooms.

Lizzie smiled as she handed over the parchment. It seemed that she was just in time - that was good. She hoped that the meeting went well and that Borr didn't get too agitated. For all she knew, he could sit on people again. That would be a disaster... she didn't want to be escorting anyone else to St. Mungo's. 'Oh... thank you, Mr. Greingoth,' she said, surprised. Get her - she was well-appreciated. Woo.
Wait. No way. Did he just say... see that Miss Pricklepot finds her way out? Oh, no. She was NOT dealing with that woman again. It was bad enough the first time, especially with her ridiculously overpowering perfume. 'Yes, I'll see them to their cubicles,' she said with a small smile. Perhaps this Miss Lane would help her deal with Poppy. 'Have a good meeting!' she called as he walked down the corridor.

Bloody meeting! Poppy slammed Greingoth's desk in frustration after he had left the room. When was she going to get her promotion now? WHEN?! Scoffing, she got up, put her hat back on, and before leaving flicked her wand at the chair. No, not to return it to its original shape and color, but rather to turn it green and add an animated sloth patterns to it. She was sure he would love it. As she approached the door, she grasped Lizzie's arm tightly and began to drag her out of the room. "Come come, dear, let's go for tea and biscuits." Poppy knew the most wonderful place where they sold the most delightful biscuits with rose petal tea. The food and beverages fit for a true lady, which was exactly what Poppy was and what she had to teach Lizzie how to become. Clearly the poor girl needed one or two grooming tips, or a full makeover.

Medea was really irritated with the department heads that had not contacted like they said they would. She started to question Lord Borr’s decision in hiring them – or at least some of them. In her humble but accurate opinion she would be a very good replacement if he chooses to cut any of them loose. The dark haired woman smirked at the thought.
Her cloak swished at her ankles down the hall and stopping when she halted in front of Mr. Greingoth’s office. She smartly wrapped on the door and then waited – clasping her files and notes in front of her.

The sound of footsteps echoed down the corridor, announcing the arrival of another person. A few seconds later, Alexander came into view. Seeing that he had a visitor at his office door, he paused just before reaching the doorway. "Miss Ward," he greeted, giving the woman a sharp nod. "I trust you're doing well today?" He turned the knob to his office but stopped just as the door came ajar. He raised his eyebrows toward the Media Liaison. Now he'd been around the woman long enough to know that she, too, was a no-nonsense sort of woman; but he couldn't help but pick up on the fact that she seemed a little more annoyed then usual today. "Come inside, please," he said, then he opened the door wider. He held it open for her to walk inside.

Medea heard the footsteps and looked in the direction of the sound. Ah, just who she wished to see. ”Hello Mr. Greingoth. Yes I’m well.” The woman stepped back in order for him to open the door, and then as he held it she stepped into the office. ”I hope all is well with you.” She added with a small nod.
The dark haired woman stepped closer to his desk and cut to the chase, ”I hope this isn’t a bad time. I would not normally show up unannounced, but I am at a bit of a dead end and need your assistance.” Medea hated that her job currently depended on other people doing their jobs. Most people were unreliable and at least 5 department heads were proving her point.

"As well as can be expected," Alexander remarked. After all, this was the Wwizarding world, the best place to expect the unexpected. He closed the door behind them and then headed to the opposite side of his desk. As he listened to her talk, he turned and pushed some files into a cabinet behind him. Then he turned and gave Medea his full attention. "No, no, the time is just fine. After all, here at the Ministry of Magic there's no such thing as downtime," he said. "If we all waited for the right time, we might just be waiting forever, hmm?" Again, he raised an eyebrow. "My assistance?" he asked. Ward never needed assistance, so his curiously got the best of him. "Alright then. What can I do?"

”Well it’s about appointing the Liaisons.”
Flipping through the files she handed him the four that had actually been appointed, even if some did take longer than she would have prefered. ”Yes sir, these are the three have been appointed, Gavin McNally from Accident and Catastrophes, next International Cooperation has selected Malachi Brown, from Magical Transportation Katrina Rayne, and last from Magical Creatures Clarissa Stimpson”
She paused for a moment to allow the Senior Undersecretary to review them if he so desired. ”All of them seem appropriate to me, and seem to fit all the requirements.”
Medea smoothed her cloak as she placed her hands at her sides, ”I met with Mr. Belmonte, and Mr. Sakura. Both of which said they would have an appointment within two weeks. Mr. Sakura said he’s still waiting for the person he’s chosen to accept the position; unfortunately I’ve not heard from Mr. Belmonte.” This irritated her because it had been well over a month since their meetings, and she had sent them a reminder message.
She took a deep breath, ”That leaves the last two.” The dark haired woman looked to the notes, then up to Mr. Greingoth. ”Mr. Vindictus did not respond to my request for a meeting – and I’ve sent 2, and Mr. Bole has been busy it seems and not able to met with me. I know he does manage a very large department so that may be the reason.” Medea didn’t like the fact that her accomplishing this task depended on other people.
Now to bring the conversation to the point, ”I assume I’ll need to wait for Mr. Sakura’s choice to contact him.” Medea hated waiting, ”How should I proceed with the remaining 3."

"Ahh. Yes, those," Alexander remarked. He'd been meaning to get a list of them, but the task had fallen to the backburner in light of Borr and his ridiculous excuse of a meeting. He accepted the list she handed him then used his wand to duplicate it. "On the off-chance you haven't made an extra copy...," he said, passing the original back to her. Though with this being Ward, he'd guess she had.
He was quiet for a few moments as he scanned over the list, putting together names with faces and the like. "I'm in agreement with the list, as well, and if you, as their supervisor, are alright with the list, then these four are good to go," he added. He turned and placed the list into a file marked 'Liaisons' before turning back around. He narrowed his eyes in thought as he listened to her story about the ones who had yet to appoint a liaison.
"I think at this point my primary concern is those who haven't responded to you at all," he said, "or very little. Give Sakura and Bole a bit longer, and I'll send an owl to Vindictus and Belmonte to check up on things." As he said this, he charmed a quill to jot down a reminder. With the hectic nature brought out by Borr's appointment as Minister, he'd taking to jotting down notes on the off-chance he forgot something important. He never had, though. "So unless there's something else you need to report or discuss, that's all I needed for now. Thank you, Miss Ward, for another job well done."

She nodded as he copied the sheet and handed it back to her. Medea had an extra copy, but there was nothing wrong with having another copy to stow away. ”Of course.”
Slipping the list back into her folder she expressed her agreement with the appointed individuals, ”Yes I’m more than pleased.” As he discussed what to do next she made quick notes reflecting his instruction. ”Thank you sir, your assistance is greatly appreciated.” She flashed a small polite smile and then took her cue, ”That’s all I needed. I’ll be on my way.”
Medea turned and made her way out of the office and into the hall, closing the door behind her.

Alexander sat in his chair, eyebrows raised in surprise, as he heard the sound of the door clicking shut behind the Ward woman. "Hmm," he commented aloud, before turning and picking up the stack of paperwork he'd been neglecting for a few days. He blamed Borr and this whole mess about planting trees in a nearly hundred percent cemented area. Any other time, he'd have grown annoyed over an employee walking out on him. He may have even stormed after them and demanded they set things right. He was in no mood for that now, though, all thanks to the neglected paperwork. He sighed and then set to work completing it.

Lizzie was frowning as she knocked on Mr. Greingoth's office door. She was certainly not happy with the new tasks they'd all been set - the Maintenance staff in particular. Surely they had better things to do than shine Borr's shoes, for Merlin's sake! And compiling a list of what they could do for her... she felt awfully sorry for them. She wondered what would happen if she didn't hand in her list - because she definitely wasn't going to be making one, that was for sure.
As she waited to be let in, she considered all the recent events at the Ministry. She had heard whispers about some kind of cult, but she honestly had no clue what it was all about, which was part of the reason she was now standing outside the Undersecretaries' office. She had a few questions to ask, and she wanted answers. I would already have them, she thought to herself, irritated, if I hadn't gone travelling. Stupid girl.

Mia apologises for her prolonged absence. She had exams to study for... but then realised SS was more fun.

Hearing a knock on his door, Alexander glanced up. "Come in!" he called out, and then, thinking better of it and realizing he could be more efficient with a wand, quickly cast a spell on the door to open it. "Ahh. Miss Hathaway," he said, grinning at the sight of one of his best employees. Unless he was looking too much into things, though, it seemed that the woman wasn't in the best of spirits. He was used to seeing her in an upbeat, positive mood, quite unlike the impression she gave now.
He waved his wand again, and a chair moved across the room and came to a stop just in front of his desk. "Have a seat, ...please," he said, gesturing toward the chair and then putting his wand away. "Is everything alright, Miss Hathaway?" He folded his hands in front of him on the desk and gave her his utmost attention.
Amaria sighed as she knocked on the undersecretaries door. Now really shining shoes, dry cleaning, regular cleaning...all of this seemed like a lot for maintenence workers. Whatever she decided she wluld work for the ministry and do her best even though her real ambitions were to be a healer. She must do her job.

Another knock on the door? Alexander turned away from Hathaway and looked at the door, both his eyebrows once again raised in surprise and wonder. He started to flick his wand out its holster and open the door for the visitor, but then a thought occurred to him. Anyone could be on the other side of that door. Anyone at all. He gave Hathaway a quick glance then stood and headed for the door. He opened it a bit and then, upon seeing that it was an employee from Magical Maintenance, widened the opening further so that the woman could step inside. "Miss Lee," he greeted. "Come on in."

Medea reached the door, gave it a light wrap and then entered. Mr. Greingoth was meeting with someone else so she slipped in quietly. There was actually a small smile on her face. While the woman’s personal life was once again in shambles but her career was going wonderfully. This promotion was exactly what she needed.
There was an empty desk to the side, which was where the previous JU sat. She remembered seeing him there once or twice. Either way now it was hers, Medea’s possessions floated that way.
Quietly she placed parchment, quills and files in their appropriate position. All her things were work related, she had not one personal effect or picture. This was work and there was no need for that mess.
