H estred at her he didn't know if she smiling at him or not or was it more of a glare but he thought it was supposed to come out in a good way so it didn't bother him ''No problem any time'' he replied that was quick ''Well good day'' he said and he went off |
Visiting Sap Alicia Devereaux was entering the Ministry of Magic for one of the last times in her career - well...she'd already had her last day durring the carnival but now all she had to do was to clean out her office. Get her tea - coffee pot - everything. The tea-loving girl was going on Sobatical. Maybe she'd be back - she didn't know...more or less this might be perminent after all it had been 18 months of waiting...hoping, and searching. She didn't want to feel like her little heart would rip out whenever she passed his desk - the desk of the man who had disappeared. Gulp. She took a deep breath and continued walking through the gates tears now streaming down her cheeks. He had hurt her - he'd up and disappeared after having a few dates? After she'd warmed up to him and opened herself to the possibility of having love again? And now all she had was a lopsided dog to keep her sane. Her sister gone - and her cousin in France. Luckily today was their lunch date. She was going to meet her after cleaning out her office. Her face was blotchy, spotted, and tear stained as she walked through the arch. She looked like a mess. Jaxton why did you have to disappear without even a word? She feared the worst at times, but deep down she knew he was alright that he just left. And sometimes that was worse. Maybe she'd come on too strong - or he'd gotten back with his ex. It had been a year and half and she was still pining over the relationship that she had utterly miffed up. But she was going to get it right - she was going to make everything better. She was going to get it right...eventually. Maybe when she stopped thinking about the past. |
Damian shuffled down the long corridor of fireplaces, already getting tired as he took each step towards his destination. "Dang, getting tired already and my first day of work hasn't even started yet..." he muttered to no one in particular. Finally, his feet stopped as he looked straight at the fabled golden gates. Wow...so shiny. Damian thought. He was mesmerized by the complete contrast of the bright yellow against the more subtle black marble of the fireplaces. As he looked back down, Damian noticed two people behind a podium, smiling at people as if there was no tomorrow... Damian gulped. Should he talk to them and ask where his department was? Cause in all honesty, he had a slight idea where his department was...Level 4 or something like that, right? |
Violet Mudby was due to start her new job at the Ministry of Magic today. She'd lingered outside for quite a while before braving the entrance procedure. Violet would never admit to being frightened or nervous - she was far too stubborn for that - but she was, apprehensive, shall we say. She didn't know if this job was for her or not yet; she didn't know if she had the ability they needed; and she didn't know what the other employees were going to think of her. No matter, there wasn't anything she could do about it, other than walk in and find out! OOC: I did get accepted but I haven't got a tag yet, sorry. |
Dacs by now was moving at a flat out run. Breathing heavily, she stopped and looked around surveying. Everything appeared normal. She bushed her hand through her now short black hair. She looked around to make sure Sapphira was keeping up. After confirming that, she said,"Gotta keep moving. Com'on!" before started at a brisk walk again. It was a good thing she wore her combat boots today for other shoes would be protesting by now. |
Timber walked slowly through the golden gates he paused and looked around silently he reminded himself he was no longer a student and this wasnt just a little visit to the ministry. this was the first day of his adult career at the ministry he took a deep breath and looked at the paper he had in his hand. Level 4 Enviromental Department.... Timber nervously headed for the lifts. |
With nerves that were making it exceedingly difficult to walk properly, Roderigo De Lacerda approached the towering golden gates. His emerald cloak fluttered at his heels as he stopped before the threshold. He breathed deeply, trying to relax himself before having to make contact with other Ministry employees and future coworkers. After a few moments of heavy breathing, he walked through the gates and slowed down as he approached the podium. His eyes were attracted to the slightly obnoxious smiley stickers the Welcome Witch and Welcome Wizard were wearing, everywhere. Hoping they didn't try to stick one on him, he smiled at the two workers and waited for assistance. He had no idea where to go on his first day working for the Wizengamot. He hoped they'd tell him what to do. |
It' a bit late, but they hadn't assigned jobs yet..:) Quote:

Alicia was nervous as she hadn't exactly told Jaxton that she had officially bought and opened the cafe yet - it was step three in the grand plan she had. Step one - buy and open the cafe, step two resign from post at the Ministry - and step three tell boyfriend you already did step one and two. Oh - and she was here with her little niece who was starting her job today. This was a strange day. Kyle Manning was in the ministry with her - Alicia smiled at Kyle gave her a kiss on the cheek and whispered good luck before running off to level two. |
For colley. Wesley swept through the Golden Izzy's level. It was weird to think of Mysteries as his wife-to-be's level; she'd been in the DMLE for so long that found himself thinking of her more as a Head Auror than as his fellow Department Head. Regardless of how much they were going to miss her on his level, though, she deserved this promotion and she was surely going to do a good jo---- "WHOA," Wes voiced aloud, finding himself accidentally ramming his armload of plant into the back of somebody's head. He peeked around the plant, feeling bad about being so careless with it, and then felt worse when he realized the person he'd bumped into was a woman. A blond woman. Whups. Now would be the appropriate time to say, "Excuse me," he supposed. "You all right?" |
Quote:
That happened to work every other day than today, it seemed. She had not been stopped or walking slowly, so how this man had managed to whack her in the head with the plant he was carrying? She paused to turn and see her assailant. "No harm done." She replied, her Italian accent seeming much thicker when surrounded by a bunch of Brits. She eyed the plant curiously and then eyed the man, "I believe I know you. You're the new Law Enforcement Head, yes?" Yes. She knew of him. Though she wasn't chummy, she did make it her business to know about people, and of course, in this circumstance, there was another reason for her knowing of him. |
Quote:
This woman, though, this one was different. Wes had more expected her to imply that she was going to sue him rather shrug off the bump. The last thing he'd expected was for her to recognize him. "I.....am the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, yes," he answered automatically. How did all these people know him when he didn't know them?! He was really sucking at his habit of keeping a low profile. "And you are?" Someone I should know...? |
Quote:
She glanced at the plant again. "Decorating your new office?" |
Quote:
This was going to be a great day, wasn't it. "Pleasure, Ms. De Luca," Wes answered dryly, trying to keep the bitterness out of his tone. He offered her an awkward handshake. "No, actually, this plant is for my fiancée's office. In Mysteries." And that was all he could say about that. |
Quote:
She did shake his hand, since it was proper and all, "It's Mrs. De Luca, actually. I believe you also know my sister, Lilyan Moretti, though she obviously goes by Bole now." Serafina had definitely gotten the better married last name. |
Quote:
So the Director of Beasts was Lily's sister too, was she. "Well well, it actually is a pleasure to meet you, in that case," he amended, releasing her hand from his grasp. Now that he thought about it.... Wes tilted his head and gave her a warmer smile. "You two do look alike." Pretty sisters. |
Quote:
So he did know Lily. "I'm afraid the same can't be said for our youngest sister." Did he know her as well? He seemed to know everyone else. Serafina adjusted the strap of her bag and dropped her gaze to the potted plant in his hands. "I won't keep you any longer, Mr. Ferguson, I have work to do and you have a fiancee to visit." She nodded. She even smiled which was not something she was accustomed to doing to anyone but her husband or her children. |
Quote:
He nodded brusquely, unable to comment on the youngest Moretti since he couldn't recall meeting her, and adjusted his grip on the hibiscus' pot. "Thank you, Mrs. De Luca," he mentally breathed a sigh of relief. Finally, he could go deposit this plant in Izzy's responsibility. Heh. "Again, sorry about the... head bump, however, it was nice meeting you." Wes bowed his head a smidgen and then swept off, carefully balancing the plant as he walked so that he wouldn't run into anyone else. |
Laura entered the Atrium of the British Ministry of Magic and had to stop and just take a breath. While she was not nervous about starting her new job, she had been doing this kind of thing for years after all, but it was her life outside of work that was hectic at the moment. And sometimes she just needed to slow down. She glanced at her watch and was pleased to note that she was early, like two hours early, but since she had to get her wand weighed and then she wanted to have a walk around so that she could get a feel for the place before she actually got into it. Now, was she allowed to just continue on or was she supposed to wait to be escorted? |
Quote:
Good? Yeah? You saw him all the time? Awesome. He hated being away from his wand for too long. He scooped it back up, putting it in the holster before preparing to run, and almost colliding into a woman who thought it was smart to just stop randomly after getting her wand weighted. Amateurs. "Er- are you lost miss?" Should she even be here? |
Quote:
The almost collision caused Laura to turn around and see who it was that had gotten into her personal space. And she found herself looking at a very young and very harrassed looking man. Either he was late for work or he always ran around the Ministry like a Fwooper with its head cut off. His question caused a slightly smirk to touch her lips. "Is this the British Ministy of Magic?" she asked, with a slight French accent. |
Oh. Heh. The woman was pretty. Legend ran his hand through his hair and grinned at her. As she opened her mouth her accent came across as strange, it took him a second but he quickly matched it to one that those Beauxbatons students had. The woman was French! "It is. Yes. You see, there are signs and stuff." He pointed behind her, and to her left, and right, another on the left, three more on the right, oh and even some behind him as well. |
She rolled her eyes at him and made a small 'tsking' sound. "Then I am in the right place." She ignored his pointing and continued speaking. "It's my first day. I need to go up to Level 3 but first I have to have my wand weighed." Was that his job? She wouldn't of had to wait around at the French Ministry. Brits were so sloppy. |
