...
Now, Adam smirked, and let out a small chuckle. Although to most adults this game would seem pretty pointless and stupid, he could understand where the fun came from. Probably because he was still a child at heart. Although he wouldn't play it himself. He'd probably be the first off, broomsticks still didn't seem to like him. "I have to say," he began. "That the idea of this game would definitely appeal to my kids. Yep, he could imagine Saff and Corbin playing it, targeting only each other, and both being equally as good. "Obviously there's still a safety issue here - if they do get knocked off, they could injure themselves -" See, Lor? Adam DID think about the kids safety! "- but I think this could be countered. You can limit the height brooms fly, and you could create a soft landing, like a bouncy castle-ish."
He didn't think he'd ever spoken this much in a meeting. Adam sat back in his chair and sipped at his coffee. Adam Stemp... Adam Stemp. Lourdes paused for a moment to remember the name. It was sort of familiar, maybe she had encountered it while updating her filing cabinet during the break? Oh! Patents office. She remembered it now. And he was on leave as well so... welcome back for him.
Now for his opinion on Shuntbumps. Of course, maybe this game would determine who were the future Quidditch stars right? It was something one could not miss out. Lourdes wrote down his suggestions... about the height limitations and the bouncy castle thing. Yes, she knew what that was. "And also, perhaps, adult supervision?" They were kids and parents always had that protective instinct within them, no denying. Quote:

They both clearly weren't the targeted age anymore, so Charely only had his own memories to rely on.. hmm? He turned his head.
Hm, more impressive ideas from Adam. "Yes.. I think this could remain indoors as well as outdoors." Limit the height of brooms? "Well, they do have low-flying toy broomsticks that don't go any higher than two feet, which seems okay." He owned one for Wade, which still sat in the attic forgotten. "I agree with the bouncing effect, it could also spread from not only the floors but to the walls and other obstacles, to make sure the flyer won't crash into anything other than with each other." Indoors and outdoors. Well, yes. They couldn't let the kids play outside when it was raining right? Maybe they just needed a bigger space so that there wouldn't be a lot of bumping into walls and furniture. Lourdes smiled and wrote those down. Her employees were really... thoughtful. Quote:

You have to expand a product or a game or a sport or a musical artist and they become highly popular all over the world. There should be nothing really stopping anyone from wanting to play quodpot here." Saxon said pointing at the table. Not directly just the people at the table but everyone in general. "The only thing that would stop someone from playing quodpot here is simply their own opinion of the game."
That being said Saxon then thought about the next sport that was brought up onto the board behind Lourdes. She glanced at it for a couple of seconds and began to think up of some things. She paid close attention to this Adam fellow and nodded when she agreed to some of his points. "Like he said, " Saxon pointed at Adam, "it is dangerous for these kids. Parents would not like this. But, I guess it always depends on the age of the children playing the sport. Quidditch focuses on kids ages 12 and up, and they do fall, occassionally, from high distances. Would these kids playing shuntbumps also be playing at such heights? We have to take into consideration how well these kids can fly, being such a young age, their ability may not be perfect and they could possibly be a danger to themselves."
Also, Saxon thought up of something very random, "It also, to me, sounds like a game that beaters would like to play. Maybe beaters from quidditch teams could give this game a try? Perhaps its just my train of thought, but yes."
Then the man with the nice hair added that the game could be played in a enclosed space and that the walls and grounds would be padded. Yes. That was a very smart idea that had never entered Saxon's mind. "The padded walls and floor sounds like an excellent idea." So Saxon seemed more like a person who wanted to try other things? But she was thinking for the other people as well. She liked this one, Lourdes did.
And yes, she understood what Saxon meant with the Quodpot. Lourdes wrote that down in a separate parchment so as not to mix it up with the other things she had wrote down.
"We can set up a height limitation, especially if children younger than 12 years of age want to play as well." Kids will be kids, honestly. Then... beaters! Lourdes liked how the younger blonde connected random things. It was pretty... nice. But Lourdes was a Keeper. Was. She had left that sort of life already but still remained faithful to the Harpies.
Padded walls and floors, got it. Lourdes wrote that down on her parchment. Quote:

He seemed to step up whether meaning to or not and agree with her. Eyes lingering a little to long on him as the Lourdes spoke of the next game. Her focus going back to the group as children were mentioned. "I think this would be a great family oriented event. Let's face it children like to be involved in things and parents need times were they can watch there kids but in a social area. This is the best of both worlds. I like the height restriction. My son would need that or he would be the dare devil in the group." She could see Bart now going way to high and falling. "I think it's a great way to get children involved in flying at an early age as well. Why not promote a start to possibly quidditch by using this game." The younger they start the better she guess and if it was safe than there was no reason not to. She would let Bart play if he wanted why not. Personally, Lourdes too agreed with Shuntbumps as a family-oriented sort of game. There was bonding, most especially between kids and siblings. Maybe even neighbors and cousins. Every kid in general. How very thoughtful of Victoria about her son. Maybe he would be a future Quidditch star too? Who knows... there were scouts wandering around and some of them were looking for potentials players at Hogwarts.
Nodding to everything her employee said, Lourdes finally wrote them down on the parchment. She had a nice list of opinions from her employees so far... but time to move on.
Ah, finally. Second to the last question. At least the meeting was about to end and Lourdes could finally have some rest afterwards in her office. "We're almost about to end our meeting. Two more games and then we can finally wrap it up." Yay? "The next game is..." Lourdes flicked her wand and then, again, everything on the board about Shuntbumps disappeared. She didn't like the next game, honestly. Stichstock
- Originated in Germany
- Consists of a single twenty-foot pole topped with an inflated dragon bladder
- Eventually died out in the 14th century
Lourdes exhaled for a moment. " ... Stichstock." She didn't want to think about an inflated dragon bladder and she already expected things from her employees. Negative things. OOC: Just keep hanging on, guys! We're almost done and you can finally play around and do personal RPs. Stichstock info can be found here. Again, you have another 20-24 hours from this post to respond. =)

| Sarah thinks I'm cute | Shan's safe space. Adult supervision? Adam nodded, secretly thinking that maybe he'd join in.
Only joking.
Sort of.
Now... Sticksock. Adam shivered a little at the thought. It was a game he'd read up on, come across when he started this job, and he didn't like it. "Tying someone to a pole seems unnecessary, so if this game was to come into play again, then I wouldn't think that would be a good idea. The idea of a penalty, or something along those lines would probably be better, if the defender did leave that ten foot radius." Not that this would solve the game at all though. "There's still, of course, the issue of the sharpened broomsticks. A collision with another player could be seriously dangerous. And the lack of limit on the hex's seems rather unorthodox, as again this could be harmful, especially if you got a rather - ah, vicious defender."
Hmm, that was all he could really say about the game. Oh, and "I don't really like the idea of it, in all honesty. It seems a bit pointless, and I'm not sure how much interest it would gain." His opinion only, and it didn't really matter, but he thought he'd voice it anyway.

Stitchstock.. Charely blinked for quite some time. Apparently he wasn't the only one as he looked around the room to not see many responses, except from Adam once again. Why did it take so long to get a response? This was why. That's totally barbaric! Had came to his mind.
Charely nodded his head with Adam's contribution. "The game seems to trend on being sadistic, allowing the guardian to inflict curses on the other players.. any curses for that matter it seems." He looked around to see any other support before continuing, "There would have to be many changes to the game to gain much support I think.. Personally, they should remove the wand usuage, imposing a time limit for the sake of the guardian should it be playing during extreme temperatures, and of course replacing bladder for a different object of play."
Could they see the game like that? "It sounds like more trouble than its worth, since massive changes can also dampen the heart of the game." More like lack of heart, given the rules. "I'd have to disagree on including this one."

| No quotes but everyone! Kimothée Chalamet • The UWU Agenda • Once Baby, Now Trouble • All Growed Up Like what she had expected, her employees started giving out negative opinions and thoughts about Stichstock. Honestly, even Lourdes wouldn't allow this because of the whole 'inflated dragon bladder' part. It seemed far worse than Aingingein. Deep inside, she was really pleased that her employees had disagree on letting this happen. Good idea, in all honesty. She had wrote what they had said down, especially Mr. Stemp who seemed to have a lot to say. And so did Charely. Yes, the others were quite. Disbelief about the game, maybe?
...
"So with what you have said, we will not include Stichstock in the list of game." Thankfully. It already had been crossed out on her parchment. "Finally... the last game we have on the list before everyone is dismissed." Lourdes made the one final flick of her wand and the board, once again, had changed its writings.
There it was. "Swivenhodge." Swivenhodge
- Began in Herefordshire, England
- Players sit backwards on their brooms and bat an inflated pig's bladder
- First player to earn 50 points wins
However, Lourdes wanted to say something before the thoughts went pouring out. "I am aware that the use of an inflated bladder of a pig is just really depressing. We can sort of change that part if you still decide that this game is safe except for the bladder issue. I'm open for suggestions." Maybe even out-of-this-world suggestions that aren't JUST balls like Quaffles. OOC: Whoop! Last one and then everyone can leave-ish. Not exactly leave right away, but it is the last question. Riiight? Anyway, this time... I'm only giving 20 hours maximum because it's nearly the weekend in my timezone which gives me more time to post than on weekdays. I know you guys can manage a post with that given time 'cause you all are amazing. <33 Thanks for not bailing on me throughout this meeting!

| Sarah thinks I'm cute | Shan's safe space. Adam nodded in acknowledgement. He was glad Lourdes had taken his and the other mans points, and agreed with the decision to not even look further into the game. Especially seeing as they had a list of other, better, actually good sounding games that they could take further.
Moving on. "The game seems safe, if the bladder is changed," he voiced carefully. "I think flying backwards seems okay, it would enforce different skills, and may make players more flexible and confident in their broom handling skills. I think batting the object would also promote an interest and an ability in aspiring beaters." You know, maybe. "As for what the bladder could be changed to - a ball is the obvious suggestion, but we could also think about the use of Shrunken Heads? I don't know, but we use them for bowling, so... just an idea."

| Gaga Mafia Monster : MURPHY : Kelvin's SS!BFAM : Roro's Evil Twin : Ravlyndor : Gopher This meeting where they were evaluating the safety of different broom games apart from the obviously more popular game of Quidditch was very interesting to Ellis. He hadn't played any of the others, even when he was a kid, mainly because his parents had said they were too dangerous, or the fact that so many of them seemed to use animal insides. Gross.
Right, now Miss Black was talking about SwivenHodge. He sat back and read the board and tried to remember the chapter on it in Quidditch Throughout the Ages. It didn't seem horribly dangerous, and far less so than the one with the boulders falling on everyone. "I would have to agree with Stemp on this one saying it's fairly safe. The flying backwards part isn't a concern seeing as if you are going to play the game you should be a pretty good flyer in the first place and there is always a Healer on site anyways." Recard took a breath before tackling the bladder part. "I really see no real reason to replace the bladder, especially if it is from an already dead pig but if others think it needs replacing, what about a water-balloon type thing? So that it still has it's sloshyness?" A fake sort of organ? |

Victoria didn't want to sound like a broken record with each of these games, plus it seemed maybe her age was against her a bit of being on the old/safety side of things with some of the comments her boss had about her ideas, so she decided she would just keep quiet and listen for a bit, plus it gave her time to look at Charely around the room and get to know the faces of her coworkers and hear their ideas.
Deciding maybe she should say something she couldn't help but cringe at all the animal parts. No wonder half of these games weren't played professionally they were so inhumane. What did she really have to say about the game. The backwards flying was different and could be dangerous, but it really wasn't that horrible. "I think the entire game seems interesting. The flying backwards would be something different and could attract people to maybe want to try or even just watch. " That could really draw them in. "I agree that if the pig was already gone then it wouldn't be so bad, but I still feel it could use something different than an animal organ. We could always transfigure something into looking like a bladder if the authenticity of the game would be jeopardize not using a bladder. " It would still look like they were using one without really using it.

| Mr. Unicorn: Kim's daughter: Jenn's sister : MILKSHAKES: Lita Daley: The Sun: Its so Fluffy! Saxon stared at the board for a few minutes and nodded at it. She liked the idea, it was much more different than just flying forward. As far as she knew, she didn't know any games were the players would be flying backwards.
"I do like this flying backwards idea that's been put into the game. As far as I know I haven't heard of a sport, to this day, of players flying backwards on their broomsticks. Hopefully they won't crash into each other."
Then, maybe Saxon hadn't seen her earlier, a new employee input her thoughts. I guess, yeah. If the pig is already dead then it may not be that big of a deal to have it used in the game. Now, I'm not saying we shouldn't keep this pig bladder, but maybe some people may be squeamish holding it? So, kind of like what you," Saxon said pointing at the lady, "And Victoria said, we can maybe use a substitute of a bladder? Maybe transfigure a ball to look like the bladder, though it wouldn't be the actual bladder it'd give off that impression."

Well, Charely didn't have to input too much on this new game. At least its only issue was on the choice of playable object. It didn't feel so bad as he looked towards everyone else though a little longer on Victoria as they shared their suggestions, before he gave his.
"I'm also in favor for this," He merely raised a finger before continuing, "as Victoria suggested we can use an object resembling the shape of the original organ.. not as a regular ball, persay, but as Ellis suggested make the material also have a slosh-watery feeling, like one those muggle stress relievers." Hmm, there wasn't much else he could think of on adding.

| No quotes... again. Heh. Kimothée Chalamet • The UWU Agenda • Once Baby, Now Trouble • All Growed Up Surprisingly, her employees didn't make much of a big deal out of this game like the previous one, Stichstock. Well she did understand why, because Swivenhodge seemed much more mild in nature than Stichstock. Also because it was interesting a way. They also had different suggestions about it, which is what Lourdes greatly appreciated. Do you see why she liked being their head now? Of course. She was also pleased when Ellis shared his thoughts even if he was silent for... most of the meeting. At least he was there and contributed too. Very pleased, Lourdes was. She wrote down all of the things they've said and the suggestions as replacement for the pig's bladder.
She definitely had creative and thoughtful employees.
After the last bit of writing, Lourdes smiled at all of them. "You all have such great suggestions and I am very pleased with the outcome of this meeting." She was, in short, really proud of her team... of her department. What would she have done without them? Now it was time to dismiss them already. "Anyway, the meeting has ended. Please, if you want to bring some of the remaining food over to your division you may do so." Lourdes didn't always allow them to bring food to their division, but right now it was allowed. For now... or maybe occasionally. Besides, they didn't always have Food Court food down here in Level 7 and NOBODY could say 'no' to them. Normal and regular work resumes from now on... but they can take a break as well. It was entirely their choice as long as they didn't neglect their assigned tasks.
...
Once everyone had left, Lourdes finally stood up. With a flick of her wand, the board behind her cleaned itself and disappeared. Probably just got sent back to its original place before it came here. Then the seats were placed back in place. Everything looked like as if the conference room was never touched. One final glance of the place, then she left. OOC: Meeting has ended! YAY! Thank you, everyone, for sticking around. I'm really glad some of you participated as well. It's lovely to see everyone posting and being active. Keep it up, okay? You can still post your charrie leaving the conference room or not. It depends on you. Stay awesome, G&S! =D <3

Victoria listened as the meeting came to an end. She looked towards the food, why not take a few things back to her desk with her. She was going to refill her tea at least and maybe drag her feet to get a few words with a coworker. Nothing wrong with that right. Looking towards Mariel she gave a smile, "Anything you want brought up from here?" They could take some of the food back up and split while catching up. They hadn't done that in awhile.
Standing and gathering her things, Victoria glanced around the room smiling at everyone as they started to depart and tried to make eye contact with the one she really wanted to talk with. Would it be awkward to talk here? It shouldn't be they were just coworkers talking. No big deal. She headed to the table with the refreshments and filled her tea. Glancing back to see if Charely was going to stop to talk a moment or just head out of the conference room..
