Anyone :) And Auror's of course ^_^ Don't be around the riot. Be around the riot. Sometimes the instructions he got were confusing, but then again, given they were inside the Ministry, he garnered there was more of a reason to be called down. Slipping through the crowd to the safety of the side wall, Sabel paused to raise on his tip-toes, searching for the Auror's he knew were present. Relief was a weighting factor as he spotted Damien and the others. They all looked pretty grim, and given the energy of the crowd, he didn't blame them. Making haste to get to them as quickly as possible and keep his head down, Sabel took the opportunity to steal a glance at the protesters and a listen to some of their shouts. They were on the right track; a mass uprising and dislike with the Minister was one of the only ways that he would be swatted from his throne. But then, someone was liable to get hurt this way. He wasn't sure he fully liked the idea of possibly shutting them down, of dousing an effort against Borr and the Cult, but then, he had his orders. And he had his trust. He would hold onto those and do what he was told. Slipping up beside Damien, he kept his mouth shut and his opinion to himself, ready for his orders. They really were an intimidating bunch when they were serious: the Aurors and the protesters. |

Shrugging slightly at her he thought on it for a moment. He was not taking orders from anyone aside from Evander so... he would wait for his boss to get there because CLEARLY he would harm them all to do some good. Heh. Quote:

Glancing back at the crowd, he tilted his head a little. "You think you could take all of them?" He couldn't help the small smile that touched his corners of his lips or seeped into his voice. The truth was, all Auror's had egos. It was simply a matter of measuring them. |

Damien cracked the smallest smile and chuckled under his breath. "Kid I could clear a crowd twice this size without breaking a sweat," he said cockily. Well HE didn't think he was being full of himself. HE was just speaking his mind on the matter. |

"I'd like to see that." His eyes took stock of those in the crowd. Ego: the Auror's definitely had it. He was curious however, to what spell Damien would use. Although, then again, Damien didn't really need to use magic to accomplish much. His expressions and radiating dislike or displeasure usually did the job quite well. |
Dacs rolled her eyes at Damien and Sabel as she shook her head and said under her breath,"Men." She really was starting to have enough of them. 'All they do is pump their egos and break women's hearts.' Yeah, she could fry a few for just those two reasons. It was one reason why she grew up so tough. Her father left her and her mother when she was two. She worked hard to prove to herself that her mother never failed and she never needed her father. That was her motive at first until, she realized she was one of the best at what she did. Now she works with a lot of males and had to deal with their egos. It was why kept to herself. Males had too much ego and other women were just annoying, especially the really girly ones. |

Too bad, when Adler and Lights reached the door, all off the protesters already moved to the fountain. Sooo??? He just stayed here, waiting for the next instruction from Gabriel. Adler saw Lights were arguing with a man who was also arguing with Dean Benson at the picket line. He was.. very smarth-mouthed man "Lights, Enough.." he tried to make Lights calm. "Be cool, huh? Don't be easily mad because of him." He whispered to Lights. |
THE MADNESS!!! ...and Esteban. *pets him* Exiting the lifts Armen could hear the madness that he had assumed would be outside the building like many strikes so often were but this was the Ministry, all sorts of mad things happened here. Making sure that Esteban was still behind him the Transportation Head barrelled through the crowd beginning to form near the Fountain of Magical Brethren drawing his wand. When he broke out into the front of the crowd he could see not the strikers but a mob--led by Gina Latorta. Looking around wide-eyed and fuming he saw that there were many MLE workers here as well. And they of course were doing nothing.... "WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!" Armen shouted holding his wand up towards the angry group in front of him, the older woman he had thought of as a friend leading them. How dare she. |
Forgive me Gina!!! Quote:
When they reached the fountain he saw his Department head, Gina, she looked so fragile with everyone's wand's pointing at her, his need to protect her flared up, he had done this before, he thought of the woman as a mentor. At least until he got his head on straight and out at the crowd. In almost a whisper, maybe Gina wouldn't here him. "Gina, this isn't the way." |
Maine was actually pretty convinced that this wasn't going to help the matter in any way at all. Getting rid of the cult would need something more cunning, and not as open as this. Frowning, she turned on her heel and apparated back to her apartment, unseen. Unnoticed. |
MERLINS BEARD! This was out of hand way out of reach aswell he had no idea why he was still there I mean they were going to ARREST! No no no! There was one thing straight Gina god bless her wasn't a coward the rest of them seemed to be idiots he didn't need this not at all he had children grandchildren in fact and he needed to be able to see them it was important He stared at the people still there and the other people that weren't helping much either standing there arguing with the strikers he walked into the ministry as fast as he could! Borr well everyone hated everyone! That was a plain fact but there jobs were at risk |

Turning back to Lights she said, "Good job, kid." Quote:
CLearing his throat when he stepped out in front of Recard he said, "Recard, you need to lower your wand now." There was no hint of warning in his voice. In fact he hoped the man wouldn't listen so he would have a chance to take him on... but one could only hope. |

Watching as the law enforcement team grew larger, Gavin pulled out his wand again, this time instead of throwing it down as he had outside, he just held it ready to use if anyone decided to attack Gina. He was determined to keep them safe, no matter what. He agreed with Gina that they were in their rights to make a demonstration, but if those who had their wands pointed at them decided to get aggressive, Gavin would do what he could to protect Gina and those that were protesting. Watching as Estaban finally switched sides, Gavin closed his eyes temporarily. How could he betray his own department head? His jaw fixed he stared down those with wands pointed at them, his own wand at his side ready to use if necessary. |
You're all in there somewhere :P SPOILER!!: All you lovely people! He could feel one of those headaches coming on again. More and more of the protesters were getting through the doors, but considering they outnumbered the MLE employees there by about 10 to one, it wasn't all that surprising. Thankfully several more MLE turned up to help. Experienced ones to boot. "Just encircle the protesters for now, please guys," Gabriel said, directing his words to all who had spoken to him. All except Damien - he reserved a special grunting growl for his friend. "I just want to smash their heads together and try and get it through to them. Do you think that's legal?" he asked, turning his eyes in the Auror's direction. When Damien mentioned Van, Gabe knew he was right. The boss would ultimately have the last word on what to do with them all. He turned his eyes on Gina. He'd tried to be reasonable with her, but it certainly didn't seem to be working. And that darn man and his shouting was not helping. Gabe was almost wishing that Lights would take up the challenge and deck him. And when Recard showed up it was the final straw. They would deal with him in a minute, or maybe Damien would do it all by himself - that'd be fun to see. But right now, Gabriel was putting his wand to his throat to enhance his voice. "ENOUGH!" He turned around and looked at all the protesters, a calm expression on his features. "If you wish to protest in a calm and peaceful manner inside the Ministry, then you will do so behind this cordon!" A flourish of wand and a large area was fenced off with tape and hoardings. "Anyone daring to leave it will be deemed to be committing an offence and there are plenty of MLE employees here who will arrest you and put you in holding. For your own good." As much as it pained him to to threaten people who were trying to do good, he had to for now. "I appreciate what you are all trying to do," that was said with a shooting glance towards Recard, "but my job is to ensure the safety of EVERYONE inside this building - and I will not allow a riot to start." Removing his wand, Gabriel walked over to Recard, and stood shoulder to shoulder with Damien. "You don't need to have your wand out, Recard. The MLE have that covered. Despite what you may believe, we're capable of doing a job without 'help'" quote marks in the air? Check. "from the Transportation Head." And if you don't Damien will hex your face off. Not that that would be a bad thing. Probably an improvement. |
Everyone sort of, regardless of quotes... Quote:

Then big mouth, the one he thought he had gotten rid of for good, showed up and began to smart off to him. "Damien, you're back? Merlin I need warnings for this sort of thing, I thought there had been some more hot air in the Ministry today." he said eyeing the man who was trying to tell him to put his wand away. "I am a Ministry official and I do believe I rank higher than yourself. I demand respect and I will put my wand away seeing as your Aurors seem to have things under control for once, thanks to Gaberiel here. But I am NOT leaving until things are solved and these Rioters are repremanded." He then turned icily to Gabriel. "You listen here sir. What sort of protection are you setting up for those who are being traitors to their own government. They complain about how badly they are treated here, well they had their choice in picking their allegiances and you all in MLE know this all too well, do you need reminding?" he said his finger dangerously close to poking the guy in the chest. "Now I am not going to just stand by while the Ministry's so claimed 'finest' allow these rebels to protest our Minister Lord Borr and those loyal to him for their own ignorant reasons. Order them away this instance and if they don't leave I suggest arrests should be in order!" he said triumphantly. It is moments like these that he wished Department Heads had the right to incarcerate people themselves. He will lobby for that next time he sees his Lordship. Quote:

"Gina please...you have to understand." Esteban tried and then saw Gavin from his Department as well. Oh boy, not good, he was for sure going to have to transfer Departments now....oh boy. Esteban couldn't decided what he even wanted to do anymore. No...don't be like that. You made your decision. |

But....oh. Great. Wonderful. Isobel's day had just gotten so much better. It was Armen Recard. Oh dearie me. Isobel watched him, as he talked...or rather attempted to order Gabe, and Damien around. Oh dear. Wait! He seriously was ordering them to arrest these people? Oh dear. "Why don't you leave the arresting to the department that is trained to do that, and go and check some portkeys Recard?" |
Oh my chocolatey goodness... Ethan darted over towards the crowd, looking for the one person he knew could help him get his grips on the situation. "Lights! Lights, where are you?" he called. The matter of Borr could wait. Right now, it was a matter of his wife's safety. Looking down, he saw he was still in muggle clothes from his day in the park with Lights, Zek, and Bella. Whoops. he thought as he waved his wand and changed himself into his blue maintenance robes. "Lights?" |
It was startling how quickly things had escalated. All it took were a few words, the presence of Recard and some drawn wands and the place seemed about ready to explode. Everyone seemed at their limits of patience and sense, even the Transportation Department Head. Waving a wand at the crowd? That was a sure way to get knocked from any pedestal. When Damien made his way up to challenge the man, it took every ounce of self restraint not to follow him. Somehow he didn't think his presence would help, and Damien certainty didn't need his hot-hotheadedness beside him. He trusted the man and his judgement, and while every fibre of his being begged to keep close to him, to protect him if need be, he held still where they had been standing. Damien would be fine. Damien would be fine.... It was all that kept him in place. So, there was a great amount of relief when Recard lowered his wand, though the tension still remained ready to snap at the drop of a pin. It wouldn't take much to ignite the crowd, the MLE or the Cult. Not much at all. Arrest the protesters? That was sure to gain a lot of favor with the crowd, let alone entice them to alter their methods. Shifting his weight nervously, Sabel fiddled with the end of his wand. He made sure not to draw it, not yet. The last thing that was needed was more wands out in the open, whether they were intended for use or not. His eyes flicked from Damien, to Gabriel, to Isobel, to the floos and then back to Recard and Gina, waiting, ready to jump. |
Hawk was returning to the Ministry from Knockturn Alley. He was still fuming slightly over the fact that Bole and no one in the Alley seemed to be all that interested in the fact that someone was killed. But then he saw the huge crowd of protestors going to the fountain. He saw the Department Head(Gina was it?), going into the fountain. Then he saw Recard come running in although there was too much noise to really hear what was being said. Like protesting would get rid of Byrr... Hawk decided that he might be needed here more than at the office. He approached the crowd and saw a few fellow MLE's and approached them. |
