Will you and the others follow Evander? Please?" She asked. "Just make sure no one gets hurt... I... I think I need to go... go home." | "I swear on my life." Evander answered seriously, but he looked a bit concerned for the old woman's health. What in Circe's name possessed her to galavant in a fountain? And step down? That was a concern, if she didn't feel well enough to continue, but it just meant his timing was good. A riot would have certainly ensued had she passed out in the fountain while tempers were still high and wands were still raised.
He looked for this Gavin person, eyes settling on the man as Gina addressed him. Quote:

Wait...Step down? she couldn't, wouldn't! His eyes searched her face as he turned to face her completely. She meant just step down from here, and let Evander take over with the protest, right?
When she turned to him, he nodded "Of course ma'am." he responded glancing over at the man, named Evander. He just hoped, that the man was serious in what he had said. "I will." He meant that and more then just following, by making sure no one was hurt AND that Gina's wishes were followed on this.
"Do you need assistance getting home?" he asked quietly. She didn't look well, and he was afraid for her safety as much as her health. | "Perhaps, after you arrange for someone to help Gina, you can keep the protest going outside." Evander spoke quietly. "We need it to continue and for certain.... individuals.... not to be allowed in -or out- of the ministry. Can I count on you for that?" Could Gina count on this man for that? Quote:

Esteban looked at Gina. Go home? Was she giving up? He never expected her to give up, under any circumstances. "Gina?" He questions her? He didn't know what to think no, his own thougths and feelings were really confused and then for Gina to change her mind.
Esteban felt like his head was spinning. "Is everything okay?" He asked, he actually held his hand out for her, to help her out of the water. |
Evander lowered his own hand and stepped back, confident that Gina's people would help her and continue the protest outside.
Besides. There was fish to fry. Van turned slowly and fixed his eyes on Recard. Quote:

Armen had been fuming since he arrived and the mouthing off of his ex-girlfriend was not what he needed at the moment. He turned to glare at her and her idiotic comment about his department. "Well I wouldn't be forced to come down here if you 'Aurors' could at least control Ministry workers, and not spoil the troublemakers!" he said waving his arm at Gina and the strikers frantically. "THIS. IS. NOT. RIGHT!" Armen shouted through frantic breaths. It looked as if Recard's head was ready to explode. There was no way Van was going to just smooth this whole situation over, they were criminals and were going against the Minstery and the Minister himself. They were the traitors! "Evander! You've gone too far!" he shouted, not really caring if he interupted his conversation with Gina. He thought he would at least take on some sort of pride in his roots with the Cult, the who 'his fiance was part of them' and all, instead of being a poser. He couldn't hear what they were talking about but it obviously was bad news. "This is all wrong!" he said running a hand through his haird madly and then stomping his foot angrily, almost childlike. | "On the contrary, its more than right. Its the only option left to us. But you seem... a little under the weather, Recard." Growly Evander. "I think you had best return to your office at once."
He looked around. Oh. Good.
"Gabe here will help you out." Quote:

Gabriel kept his face calm, even if on the inside he wanted to lurch forward and strangle the man stood in front of him. Looking down at the finger that was nearly poking him, Gabe glanced back up and locked eyes with idiot addressing him. "Free speech," he stated simply, leaning his face in. "Expressing opinions does not a traitor make. And I don't need YOU to remind me of anything, Recard." Gabriel made sure his voice was slow and quite quiet. This wasn't a conversation for everyone to overhear.
Putting his wand back in his holster, Gabriel folded his arms across his chest and appraised the puffed up little upstart. He really did think himself so important. "You can suggest all you like, but nothing is being done until Evander has spoken with Gina."
Who he had just spotted arriving out the corner of his eye. Turning his head away from Recard and over towards Van, Gabe nodded and patted his holster to signal his already was away. Looking around at his own security staff he motioned for them to do as requested.
He couldn't hear what was being said between his boss and the lady in the fountain, but she seemed to be agreeing with whatever he wanted. A slight smirk crossed his features when Armen started having a childish paddy - that was replaced by a look of concern when the older woman said about going home. Gabe had told her the cold water wouldn't do her any good. Deciding it was best to stay where he was, in case he was needed to deal with Recard, he watched Van and ....Gavin, was it? help Gina.
It wouldn't be long now, surely? | "If you wouldn't mind, Gabriel." The man would make a marvellous escort, wouldn't he? "Our friend Recard here needs a bit of help returning to his office, and perhaps it might be worthwhile.... keeping an eye on him for a while. For his own safety of course. He seems just a little... stressed out."

Van addressed all those gathered around the fountain. "If you're protesting, please, by all means continue to do so with the full support of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, only we request that you move outside once more and humbly suggest that nobody is allowed in, or out of the Ministry of Magic until this travesty of a government is corrected and restored."
He stepped out of the water and looked around for his own people, intending to move right away. "MLE, to me, if you would. We have work to do." |
