Alexander Greingoth EraAll historical records pertaining to Ministry of Magic RPG under Minister for Magic, Alexander Greingoth [IC January 2076 - December 2081; OOC January 2012 - June 2013]
Elizabeth came back to the ministry after a long break. Things had finally calmed down and she was ready to be back. Eliza was nervous at the possibility of running into Benjy so she quickly looked around and smiled when she didnt see him. Eliza twisted her wedding ring... She hadnt invited Benjy to the wedding... or even told him yet. Elizabeth felt bad for avoiding him especially since he hadnt seen the baby at all. She sighed and stayed close o the wall, watching as the crowds of people flow past her or stop and talked to their friends. She was starting to miss Benjy and even started to miss Jack but Jack was no longer at the ministry... not since the divorce. He avoided her most of the days and the only times they talk was about Anne.
Walking through the orientation again, Gidyun wanted to see if there was anyone he had missed meeting that was someone he really should approach. He felt at a loss with not knowing anyone here. He was so used to knowing who people were at the Italian ministry and where everything was. And here he was at the British ministry once again and it had been YEARS since he'd been in here. More years than anyone would expect too...
Sighing he saw someone just standing there alone and thought he'd be kind and introduce himself. Maybe she was new as well! "Hello, I don't believe we've met. I'm Gidyun Yenorin." he said with a smile as he approached her.

Benjamin entered the ministry hall quietly. Stepping up to the table, he adjusted his tie and glanced around. There seemed to be a lot of people here already including bossman. Pulling out his wand, he took a bag and shrunk it down to a comfortable size to fit in his pocket. Then, turning he entered the orientation area.
Slowly and quietly, Benjy made his way around the perimeter of the room, looking around for people he knew, especially for Sky who had left before he did. Instead of finding Sky, however, he noticed a certain someone whom he didn't expect to see and hadn't seen for months. Rather than approaching Eliza, Benjy hung back and grabbed a drink, waiting for her to approach him seeing as how she looked like she was talking to a coworker.

She held out her hand, thinking she should shake his hand or something or another. "I am looking forward to getting to know you and to work for you. I am sure that it will be an educating experience." Nah, she wasnt buttering him up, just stating what she thought.

A certain someone caught her eye and a frown came to her lips slightly. She glanced back at her boss and started to mess with her rings, getting nervous that Benjy might come over and talk to her. She was counting the seconds, waiting to see what he would do.

Benjy slowly sipped his drink, glancing around the room, making sure not to look at Eliza for too long of a period of time. As soon as he noticed that she had seen him, he pulled a copy of the Daily Prophet out of his pocket and started reading an article.
Hopefully if Eliza didn't want to see him, she would be happy enough with him occupied...

"Things are good..." She mused with a nod. Things were very good. "Glad of a vacation." Because things were just maniac everywhere. "How was your holiday?"
So with the switch in names came a better atmosphere between them, not that he and Izzy had trouble talking or being around one another. Even if...like with Kyle...Simon had seen her at one of her lowest moments. But that was neither here nor there and certainly not something up for conversation. "Yeah, certainly had enough going on to warrant the need for a break." At least in his department. As long as a certain lawyer hadn't caused any trouble while it was slow.
"It was actually pretty good," Simon answered being entirely truthful. He had been unsure of not being totally lost and had actually managed some brother time while Jasper was himself between cases.

Alone again once Isobel was off with others, Simon debated going into the main room. No doubt quite a few people were gravitating in that direction and he didn't know when anything. However he spotted movement coming towards him from the side and the auror turned to see if it indeed had someone coming for him or just random. Spotting Dacs he smiled politely and turned to face her as the division head approached.
"Hey," he greeted, the MLES head another familiar face. "How was your break?" he added for a touch of polite conversation.

Elizabeth was still talking to her boss but Benjy kept grabbing her attention... even if he wasn't trying to. She kept one eye on him while talking to Gidyun. Eliza saw him pull out the newspaper and started to read which caused a frown to appear even more. Is he avoiding me as well? I miss him so much... She sighed at her thoughts and tried to focus on her boss but thoughts of her baby brother... yes she still considered him like a baby brother... kept consuming her brain. Elizabeth tried not to break down... not to excuse herself from her boss so she tried to block any thought of Benjy from her brain as she turned her full attention on Gidyun,

Hearing his name, Alexander turned on his heels, coming face to face with Wes. "Ahh, Wes," he said, sticking out his hand for a shake. Now that he was no longer the Minister of Magic, he felt less enthused to address people by Mr. along with their last name. "It was a good run," he agreed with a nod, "but it's going to be an even better retirement. I think I might take the family on an extended vacation." He grinned. He was thinking a month or so away from everyday life. It'd be nice. Of course, he'd have to wait until Hecate was out of school for the summer...

"This must be bittersweet, eh?"
Alexander met the man's hand shake for shake. "...and it's good to see you," he remarked. "A congratulations is also in order, I assume." He nodded in the man's direction. "I'm glad to hand it over."
...and he was. To anybody who would take it, really.
"Bittersweet?" he asked. Shaking his head, he added, "Not in the least. It was a good run, but at the end of the day, it's a job, and a very demanding one at that. I'm happy to go home to the wife and kids and do something special with them." Not that he hadn't in the past, but he had much more time to dedicate to it now, and besides, no one would be sending annoying owls demanding his attention on his time away.

Taking her hand he gave her a smile "Well it's a pleasure Elizabeth. That is if I can call you that." He didn't want to be forward and find that they were very formal in this ministry. He had no idea how formal or informal they were there! His eyes crinkled at her words "I look forward to working with you as well, with each person on level 5. Educational? Well I can always hope, I think it'll be a learning experience for all of us."

Elizabeth smiled as they shook hands. She chuckled and her smile became sweeter, "Of course, you can. You can even call me Eliza if you truly wish. I havent been called by my last name since I taught school when i got out of college." Eliza chuckled a little more, "Though, I will call you Mister Yenorin, if you rather me call you that... since after all, you are the boss." She smiled and nodded at what he said next. Eliza had a feeling that she would like this guy.
Yay, Hamlet! • Cathopper • Disney Fanatic • I was normal once...
Milo was not only happy to find himself so close to the hall of the Ministry of Magic, but he was happy that the Ministry had accepted him! Actually, he was more happy that the Ministry had accepted him because he knew of his past records. Not that they were BAD; however, his past records indicated he had been fired from his previous job as a Charms Professors over at Salem for (quote on quote) "acting more like a student than a teacher".
In other words, he was a very immature thirty year old.
He straightened out his patched up suit coat as he looked around at the people before him. It was a lot of people... not that that made him nervous. It was just... a lot of people. He nodded his head towards the closest human being before heading over to the table near the entrance.
OH! Goodies!
He liked gifts.
Especially free gifts.

Eliza had a feeling that she would like this guy.
Breathing a really soft sigh of relief he gave her another smile. Definitely good, to be able to use first names. One down, how many more to go? "Eliza it is then, if you prefer." he said with a slight nod of ascension. His smile tugged more as his eyes crinkled even more. "Then I won't use your last name unless necessary." Shaking his head he pulled a face "No, I'd rather Gid or Gidyun. Boss or not, I dislike formalities unless they're necessary."

Elizabeth smiled and nodded at the 'Eliza' statement then again at the last name statement. She glanced at him and chuckled at the face he pulled, "Which do you prefer... Gid or Gidyun?" Elizabeth nodded, agreeing. "I hate formalities... except when they are necessary then I can stand them a little." Eliza was curious to find out more about her new boss but she didnt want to pry and upset him so she waited to see if he would strike up a different topic... or if they will just go on about formalities and whatnot. Eliza didnt want to get caught looking for a ring... since that might make it seem that she found him attractive... nope, she aint gonna do that since that would make things awkward, no? She did think he was slightly handsome but she wasnt wanting to date him... especially since she was already taken...
Nervously looking down at her appearance Skylic walks into the entrance way. Looking around she notices the table with goodie bags by the door. She wanders around nervously taking everything in. "I hope I am not over dressed" she thought looking at some of the more casual dressed people in the area. Pushing a loose curl behind her ear she walks up to the table to look at what is on it.

"Whichever is fine, I didn't even have a nickname til my wife decided Gidyun was too long to say at times." he said a fondness in his voice. Aha, and THERE was his Izzy! After excusing himself from Greingoth, Wes made his way through the crowd, careful not to let ANYONE accidentally touch his chicken wings. He popped up beside her, Tasha, and Dorian just in time to hear his sister-in-law mention food.
"They have excellent chicken wings," Wes spoke up, lifting his plate a little to show Tasha an example of the meat selection. "And ribs, too. Also, don't worry about contamination, but I taste-tested everything personally myself. And it was all clean and tasty too."
He was clearly very proud of the hard work he'd put into today.

"The twins are fine." She murmured, with a smile. "Still little devils." Though they were growing into bigger devils now. She wouldn't change them for the world though. She loved her boys far too much for that. Though she would prefer it if they actually behaved a little bit.
Isobel beamed as she hugged her sister. She was very glad she had seen Tasha here. It had really been far too long, and she was going to be very busy once the ministry reopened properly, so probably wouldn't have chance to see her sister then. "No. Louisa has got them." Because Wesley was around her somewhere too. "I'm collecting them later." Because she hadn't brought them to work today. Probably would drop them into the day care tomorrow. They had been rather tired this morning, so she hadn't thought that it would be too good an idea to bring them.
"You saw mother?" Isobel raised an eyebrow at her sister. Isobel would not voluntarily go to see her mother. Actually she was pretty sure she had not seen her mother since before her wedding. "Why?" Because their mother was not the nicest of people, so there must have been a big reason. "Yes. It was very relaxing." Well when the boys were in bed it had been relaxing anyway.
Ahh. There was her husband. Isobel smiled, watching as her husband approached. Oh. Hello facial hair. "Nice beard dear..." She murmured, smiling up at him. Though she did notice that something seemed to be in his beard. "But you seem to have some sauce in it..." No surprise when he was eating chicken wings. But Izzy still didn't think it was a good look. Not when he was a big department head and such.
"They look good..." She murmured with a nod. But not very ladylike to eat, so maybe she would go for something else. "Was there nothing but meat left Wes?" She teased, raising an eyebrow before she smirked. "Very good dear. Glad to know security is top of your priorities." She was very glad, because she really would not want to be a zombie again. Not at all.
Honestly, Dorian hadn’t thought he might have startled Natasha by his arrival or his actions once he had. First, because they’d spent time together over the holiday and therefore it wasn’t as awkward as it could have been, and second, she’d been fussing with that lock of hair before he’d even stepped up beside her. He was only assisting, as well as possibly ending up making others a b it annoyed had they noticed him. He wasn’t about to admit that, though, because he really didn’t understand why Roxanne just didn’t give up and stop being so irritated by his existence. He wasn’t about to return her feelings, and he was with Natasha. That was the truth, and so far the department head had seemed to be the only one to disapprove. He was his own person, and right now he was claiming his place next to his girlfriend and conversing with her sister and his former colleague. “You’re welcome,” he replied, giving a half-smile to her in response to her own smile up at him before glancing toward the hall as she’d mentioned food.
Only to turn back as Isobel had responded to him as well, and the half-smile came back. “They’re boys. That should be expected, especially considering their father,” he pointed out, remembering Wes when they’d been at Hogwarts, although also the few stories Natasha had told him about her and Isobel at the same. He would have been more surprised had his children not inherited at least some of that behavior. In any case, the blonde nestled at his side hadn’t particularly seemed like she really had wanted to move toward checking out what food was available or mingling. He could just as easily let her continue talking to her sister, although it seemed the conversation was reaching an awkward point with mention of their mother. No need to get involved in that, so he merely gave Natasha a light squeeze in case moral support was needed. The conversation hadn’t gotten there yet, but he could always be careful.
At least he wasn’t testing all the food for contaminants, even if he didn’t blame anyone for being wary after the zombie scare. Of course, he hadn’t looked at the spread to even know if it had been brought in or prepared on site, but he didn’t blame Wes for choosing to be safe. He’d raised an eyebrow in amusement at the beard, though, as well as his wife’s motherly choice to remind him that he had sauce in it. It was all rather sweet, but still amusing to him considering he’d never had that himself. Just the life of chasing after Gabriel, mourning Gwendolyn, and then working here in MLE. None of that particularly involved situations such as what he was witnessing, but then, he didn’t think he and Natasha had gotten to that point yet in their own relationship. “Good to know someone’s keeping an eye on things,” he said, echoing Isobel’s comment slightly with a wry smile. “Wouldn’t want to be cleaning up another incident after all, this soon,” he added, giving the other man who had decided to join the group a brief nod. It looked like Isobel’s question of what was available yet to eat had been answered.

Rosaline wasn't really late, more like.. fashionably late. Not that the Rosa even understood what that meant. It wasn't really her fault anyway. What did they expect? She was moving her rather large family from Australia to England. That took time, you know!
Brushing a red curl from her face, Rosaline had apparently found the right place as she took in all the people swimming into view as she came nearer. A lot of people had orientation, it seemed. Which was not quite what she expected to see, but probably should have.
After a pause near the door, Rosa stepped further inside, her gaze moving around the room with interest.
Aha, and THERE was his Izzy! After excusing himself from Greingoth, Wes made his way through the crowd, careful not to let ANYONE accidentally touch his chicken wings. He popped up beside her, Tasha, and Dorian just in time to hear his sister-in-law mention food.

It was like he knew they had been talking about him because next minute Wesley popped up beside their little trio with a plate of chicken wings and ribs that he hurriedly informed her were 100% non-contaminated. Beaming brightly at her brother-in-law Tasha responded. "I'm relieved, but I’ll probably think twice before I take the first bite of chicken wing anyway, the zombie disease is still too fresh in my memory." Especially since Izzy had been one of the ones infected and had to live in quarantine.
"What other tasty food do they offer besides wings and ribs?"

For some reason Tasha hadn’t spent any of the vacation time away from the ministry together with Isobel. They were very close sisters but this time around they had kept on their own ends. Tasha had spent most of her time with Dorian and Isobel had the twins and Wesley. Their schedules just hadn’t meshed. Nodding she said. "Yes, I remember now. Louisa told me about caring for the twins last week over some tea at the leaky." It had just slipped her mind.
Tasha mentally kicked herself. She shouldn’t have said anything. She knew that it could lead to opening a can worms. Tentatively she nodded "Yes, father begged me to come over. I wouldn't have gone if it had been Mother who asked. Dorian went there with me." Feeling Dorian squeeze her waist a little she decided to just spill the whole truth.
"Mother wanted to show me some photo albums from many years ago when we were children that she had found while having the house elves clean the attic. She showed it to me and Dorian and she told anecdotes to fit with the pictures."
Licking her lips Tasha continued. "Don't get angry now Izzy but mother actually said that she liked Dorian and that she didn't disapprove of our relationship." Even though their mother knew that he too worked in MLE.
Cole was late. That was not really that often so he didn't sweat on it. Smile in place, the now not so new employee of the Ministry - walked in, eyes searching for any familiar face.
His smile only widened when he did see a face - one that he was not expecting to see at all. Walking up to her, he whispered near her ear: "I was wondering how long was my arm going to stay lonely. Alas ... I found you." he grinned - waiting for her turn and well, smack him on the head and then hug him.
Yep.

Yep.
Cole startled her, and not for the first time. The redhead whipped around, a hand going to her hip in a motherly fashion as if she were going to scold the younger man. Instead, one hand reached out too fast and swatted his arm. Punishment, that's what it was. For scaring her. Not that she'd hit him hard. Rosa did have a soft spot for this goof.
"Hello darling, it took you an awful long time. I've been waiting quite a while," Rosaline teased fondly, hugging him tight for a long moment. She had missed him. "Happy to see me?" Rosaline continued, releasing the man from the embrace only to loop her arm through his. Just where it belonged in such events, when her husband was absent. And while Cole didn't have a woman friend. "So, are you going to show me around the work place after orientation?" Probably the following day, when everyone would return to work. Which would work out fantastically, beause Rosa was sure the girls would want to see Cole.

He grinned, feeling her smack on his arm. "I am sorry to have kept you waiting, Miss McClane." he said, hugging her back fondly. Grateful, that she did not get ofended by his very blunt tongue. But then again, she was one mentor of his- who over looked all his usual tactics.
Having her arm tucked around his, he moved forward with her. "Well, of course I will show you around. If you say it, I will be happy to have you skip the boring orientation and have your Ministry tour now - which I think would be much more fun."
Ah. He had missed her company.
"How have you been?"

"How have you been?"
"Mrs. McClane," Rosaline corrected, though in all good fun. She was in a playful mood, which was nothing unusual. The grown woman gave him a silly look, raising an eyebrow before the look melted away.
Walking beside Cole, Rosa was able to look around a bit and still focus on his words. Her smile of warmth grew wider at his suggestion, she cast him a sideways look. There was amusement there, indeed. "Now this, this is why I swear you are somehow my long lost little brother. We think too much alike, I think it's a bad thing for the world to have two of us." Rosaline babbled on, completely entertained by the thought. There would have been three, possibly.. but Rosa didn't allow her thoughts to travel. "Let's do that. Skip the boring orientation, I mean. And is it at all possible you're adopted?"
How had she been? That question was so.. vague. Mischief twinkled in her eyes, a smile playing on her lips. "Good, bad, busy, always moving.. you know? It's always something." Rosaline mused, taking her free hand to swipe at the same loose curl that had escaped her ear. "It was so boring without you when you left.. - the dragons miss you, by the way, -.. and we needed a new adventure, so Remmy and I discussed it, and decided to pack up our family and head back here. We both grew up here as kids, you know. Oh, and Melody. She's at Durmstrang, wanted to finish out her schooling there." Had she forgotten anything? "How have you been?"
