Ivee was in the urge to go somewhere else when a woman approached. Yey, someone friendly. Once the woman stood in front of her, Ivee put on her smile. "Hello, I'm Olivia," Ivee said while accepting the woman's hand and shook it. "But you could call me Ivee." Hopefully this woman was new, just like her. But she doubt someone new felt at home in this place. Ivee's home was in Scotland.

"Are you a new employee in here?"

Now the man approached her. Ivee's awkwardness might have swelled up inside her due to embarrassment now. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhh. Putting on her formality, the Ministry of Magic's Awkward Potato Ivee smiled at the approaching man once more.

He had introduced himself to her. Gaaaaaah. What to do? Duh, obviously introduce back. Stupid Ivee. What did that Hat think of placing you in Ravenclaw, House of the Smart people. Jeeez. Ok... back to the man...

"Hi," Ivee might've froze. "I'm Olivia Ratcliffe, but you may call me Ivee." She smiled again. Then she extended her hand expecting that the man would shake it... or not.

Annalise felt... awkward. She seemed to be one of the youngest or at least younger employees at the orientation so far, and was unsure how exactly to feel about that. "Hello..." She mumbled, not looking at any one in particular just yet. Hopefully someone would take pity on her and say hello...

Elizabeth smiled and went over to a young lady who seemed awkward, "Hello, I'm Elizabeth Lupin, African Ambassador and you?" She twisted her wedding ring, feeling completely relaxed even though she took a year off.

"...I see.." So she went around fixing the mistakes of nitwits for a living. He didn't think he would've been very happy with a job like that. The stupidity alone would've been able to drive him off the wall. "And I guess you didn't like it very much..." Obviously or she wouldn't have changed departments.

He shrugged casually at her question. "Yeah, I just moved here a month ago."And he still hadn't gotten his affairs in order yet. There was simply too much to do and too little time to do it. "I'm still hopelessly lost when it comes to finding places--don't even get me started on the transportation around here." But he wouldn't bore her with his problems. "Have you met anyone in your new department yet?"

Gavin was beginning to think that she was even more of a hopeless case than he first deduced. She wasn't saying anything...how much fun could she be having just standing there not talking to him? Didn't she know what she was missing? Internal sigh.

Ah, there we go! Confirmation that she COULD talk. Good. This made the prospect of a conversation more fun. "Well it's nice to meet you Ivee." Though he wondered if it wasn't a bit soon to go straight to the nickname she offered. He wasn't one to jump ahead of formalities but then...anything to make the woman loosen up a bit. Merlin knew she looked like she was about to pass out.

He realized he had quite the effect on people but this was flattering ridiculous.

"Are you a new employee?" Just a guess. It was either that or she had some severe nerve problem that messed with her speech. She really should have gotten that checked out if it was the case. It made it harder for her to make conversation with people like him--pfft; as if there was anyone else like him. "And can I ask what department you're working in?"

"Hello there!" Annalise greeted the older woman, her blue eyes shining cheerfully. It was so nice to know that there were some really great extroverted people out there to make things just a little bit easier for the introverted like Annalise. "I'm Annalise, the new Junior Plant Removal Agent for the Environmental Protection department." She announced proudly. Not that working with plants was the coolest to most people. But to shy plant lovers like Annalise - her new job was Heaven!

"So, have you been working here long?" Annalise asked, flipping her long hair back over her shoulders. Perhaps she should have worn her hair up in a more professional bun....

Oh, daydreaming. Ella smiled again. "Well, sorry to disturb your daydream." Hopefully it wasn't a good one! She grinned a little when he realized that she was his boss. "Yes, that would be me." Seeing another employee, a much younger woman, wandering around, Ella couldn't help but wave at her. She looked sort of... lost and awkward and it was kind of cute. Ella smiled kindly at the young woman. "Hello, there. What's your name?" she asked, trying to be friendly.

She laughed, "Well I started working here 3 years ago and after 2 years of being the Magical Countries Ambassador, I took a year off because I got married and got pregnant and now I am back and am the African Ambassador now soooo about 2 years not counting the break." She smiled, "I love it here and I am happy to be back in my department, Are you excited for work?

Ivee tried her best to look genuinely confident, but it turns out she's a fail at it. Giving up, she just made a small smile. Since Gavin, that's his name right? Yeah. Gavin didn't shake her hand so Ivee placed it down.

Duh. She was new. Have you ever seen here in this place looking so confused? "Yes, I am a new employee." Now Ivee was a little bit confident now. She's such a wallflower, really, but she can be a total weirdo. "I'm in the Environmental Department," she said.

Your turn, Mister Isaacs. "What department are you in?"

"Eh, it was just a childhood memory, no biggie." He laughed. "Well, I feel like it'll be a great pleasure working for you, Miss Ella."

Miss Ella seemed to draw in another employee. She seemed young, maybe his age? He hasn't found anyone near his age yet. He decided he'd make conversation with her since they were there. He held out his hand, "Hello other miss."

"Hello, I'm Annalise! I'm the new Junior Plant Removal Assistant." She grinned, happy to have more people willing to speak with her. At least they weren't looking down on her for being a noob... yet. "Have you been working here long?" She asked.

"I am!" Annalise replied excitedly. "I really love working with plants, and using magic to protect them. I also really enjoy helping and working with people, of course..." She added, bouncing on the back of her heels impatiently..

Wasn't there supposed to be some sort of speech... or something?

Annalise blushed, smiling warmly as she shook the man's hand. "Hello there. I'm Annalise. Nice to meet you!" She replied, her face now going from a tomato red colour back to a nicer, more normal shade. "Have you been working here long? Any tips?"

Manolo smiled slightly when the new girl blushed. "Hello, Annalise. I'm Manolo. Also a pleasure to meet you." He kicked around imaginary rocks on the ground. "Actually, I don't have any tips for you. I'm also new."

Elizabeth smiled, "That is good that you are excited and going to enjoy your work. It makes the work day so much better and if you are married to one of your co-workers then it is even better." She laughed and smiled, twisting her ring. She glanced over at Jack, her husband, who was a little bit away.

"I see." He nodded, picking up her excitement about her job. If she was happy doing it, he wasn't one to judge, right? WRONG. He just wouldn't judge out loud. "Well, I'm sure when you get yours hands on them, you'll find out how to put them right quickly." He nodded to her once more.



He wanted to say 'yes', but after glancing at Gavin, Charles shook his head. "No, Elizabeth. Please, call me Charles." UGHHH. It felt WRONG not demanding respect. But it was Weedy Pigreader's department, so he'd keep to the general informalities around there, even if he didn't like it. Though he was surprised Elizabeth had picked up on his disapproval, usually he was so good at hiding it. Maybe he should focus on his poker face.



His head whipped around once more as another lady spoke to him. He shook her hand politely. "Nice to meet you, Ms Summit. I'm Charles Taylor." He introduced himself. And thankfully, she'd said Gavin's last name again! Higareda. That was close to Pigreader, so Pigreader it was. It suited him just as well as Weedy Boy.



Instant reaction? Charles didn't like this man. At all. Wait, he was the Senior Undersecretary? UGH. Charles shot the man a look of such disapproval that it could possibly be mistaken for hatred. Weren't the more advanced officials meant to be professional?



Ignoring that Gavin was practically making a double date with Elizabeth, Charles decided to focus on the conversation that was directed at him. "I see. Well, I look forward to meeting her." It was kind of something he HAD to say, though in all honesty, she was now Mrs. Pigreader or Mrs. Weedy Boy. Which did she prefer? Her choice!



And who was THIS young whippersnapper? Wait, he'd tried to call Gavin 'Mr.', Charles approved. He rubbed his chin thoughtfully as he watched the interaction. Maybe this first name thing was new to him, but he could tell that the others liked it. He'd just have to put up with it, he supposed.

"Ah... oh yes! New people are always great." Annalise replied awkwardly, biting her lower lip. Even after years of practice working and dealing with people, she still felt like an outcast. "Nice to meet you, Manolo." He seemed nice, it appeared as if her time working at the Ministry was going to be pleasant with so many friendly people around.


"Aww! Yes I would suppose it would be nice to be working with your significant other..." Annalise replied, smiling sadly at the floor. The last man that she had been with had broken her heart. Badly. Very badly. "Hopefully I will be working alongside my significant other too..." She added, trying to remain positive. "So... any tips?"

Shaking the woman's hand, he beamed at her "Gavin Higareda." Obviously she saw the badge but hey it didn't hurt to introduce himself too right? "Did you really? Where in the department did you work?" He had spoken with a few people in the American IMC department, so he was a little familiar with them.

But he did love meeting people from other countries from the same departments too!

Smiling at her again, glancing Jack's way he gave him a soft smile, hoping everything was alright between them.

The guy definitely seemed to have something in his bonnet wizard hat. But he was still pleased to see that the man said for Elizabeth to call him Charles. He was tempted to say Charlie just to see what the guy would do, but somehow didn't think it'd go over well. The guy couldn't have been more then 10 years older then himself but well he hid his thoughts well.

"I'm sure you'll find her delightful, she's pretty easy going for most things." he said with a smile. A wonder Kat was really. Especially after being with Gavin for 3 years now and married for 4 months! "You two should go and grab yourself a scavenger hunt sheet to fill out, you might find some interesting things out about people!"

Elizabeth nodded, "Okay then. Charles it is." She laughed and smiled, "So are you excited to be the American Ambassador?" She looked at him and twisted her wedding ring, glancing at Jack, her husband. She sighed then refocused on Charles again.

Elizabeth smiled, "It is nice especially with the flowers appearing on your desk, taking a break together or even walking to lunch aand eating it together. That doesnt even count that you both get off at the same time..." She laughed, "Sorry, my husband and I are both ambassadors." She twisted her ring, "So we tend to go on and on talking. I hope I dont bore you." She grimaced lightly then smiled, "Yeah, hopefully you will. Tips for what exactly?" She glanced at the girl.

Elizabeth looked at her boss and friend and then to her husband. After a few seconds, she looked back at Gavin, "So anything new and exciting planned for the best department in the ministry?" She raised an eyebrow and laughed.

That was painful. Only his family called him Charles, and that was against his better judgement. "I am, I was in a higher position before I did this, but I missed the interaction greatly and felt I was losing myself, so I chose to come back to doing this." And working under weeds. He glanced at her husband as she did and in his usual forward way, he leant closer to speak quietly to her. "Problems?" Yes, he knew that sort of look. "I'm here if you need to talk." He sympathised with any poor idiot who was stupid enough to be in a relationship, and even go the extra mile to getting married.

Easy going? Well, he wasn't going to go there. Purely because if he thought what he'd usually think, he'd end up sneering. Thankfully, Gavin gave him a distraction. He looked around for a pile of papers, walked over, grabbed two sheets, two pens and came back, handing one of each to Elizabeth. Well, he right out knew both Elizabeth and Gavin were married. So he decided to put Elizabeth down.

Could he put Gavin down for 'Looks most like an owl'? No... there was an even better one on here for him. "Gavin, can you speak and demonstrate Troll?" Smiiirk.

Victoria was walking past around the crowd when she heard a small hello. Looking to her side she spotted a young lady. Smiling she walked closer to her and held her hand out. "Hi, I'm Victoria Summit," she told her.

"It's nice to meet you Mr. Taylor," she said with a smile. And what department do you belong to," she asked him. There was many people she would have to start remembering the names and departments of, lets just see if she could actually remember them tomorrow.

Victoria nodded her head with a smile. "That sounds like fun though. Which department have you liked best," she asked. She laughed softly, "This is my second year actually in the Ministry at all."

Victoria smiled a small smile to the man nearby. "Hello," she said, turning around to face him, "I'm Victoria Summit from the Ministry's office." The man didn't seem too pleased to be here, but hopefully that would chance. Around here many conversations were interesting to hear and have apart it.

Victoria was walking and looking around for any new employies she could get to know and talk to. There have been any she found, but there couldn't ever be enough people to talk to for Victoria.

While looking around the room she spotted a lady that look around her age. Not many people in there early 20's were around, unless she mistaken their age.

She perked her smile back up and headed towards the girl. When she arrived she held her hand out, "Hello, I'm Victoria Summit from the Minister's office."



Victoria was standing around in the big group that everyone was having there own conversations and such when she happened to over hear a lady next to her saying her husband and her were ambassadors. Victoria always wondered what being an ambassador was like. With working around the ministry what a better way then to find out now.

Turning to face the lady she smiled and said, "Hi, I'm Victoria Summit. From the Minister's office. I happened to over here you saying you were an ambassador."

After hanging around, Dacs decided to go in. She looked around the room and thought to herself,'So many fresh faces.'

She moved forward and walked across. They looked like they went all out for the orientation this time around. As she moved through, she wondered who were the new level two employees. Of course she saw a few of the current, not so new employees. Her thoughts went back to Simon outside as he stood on Wes' place.

Rowan's smile widened and he shrugged, "I prefer you to someone I've never met before." He gave a small nod, "To be completely honest I thought you were Lazar for a second." Ugh... Just saying his name was enough to make Rowan roll his eyes, he despised the man, which is why Rowan was overjoyed to hear that he wasn't coming back to the ministry. He shook his head knowing she didn't want to be there, "Well, seeing me makes it a little better doesn't it?"

Well, maybe it would actually work!!

After all, it seemed to be working quite alright. Random people had no tendency to ever approach her, believe it it not. It was always Gia that started the conversations with other people. Well, until today.

"Hello!," She began saying to the man who had approached her. "I'm Giacinta, but do call me Gia." Her full name felt too long in her mouth. It was easier for others to remember a shorter name anyways, especially if it's more fun and quirky than before. It's also what her parents used to call her all the time back then. Well, except for when she got into trouble, which happened quite a lot when she was a child.

Gosh, Gia was more attracting than she realized. Why else would all these people be coming over to her for?? It certainly wasn't horrid, because they would all have looks of disgust on their faces, and would immediately walk away. Thankfully, they didn't.

"Nice to meet you Bejing!" She said, smiling. The woman didn't seem to be all for handshakes, though that was quite alright with her. She wasn't exactly intent on shaking hands with others. She only did it because it was the polite thing to do. Polite people do polite things. That's just how it worked!

"Sort of...." Gia answered, in reply to Bejing's question. "I'm new to the British ministry, but not the job." She was quite proud of it, actually. Her mum and dad are senior Obliviators at the Italian Ministry, so that's one reason she ever started wanting this job. They were great people, make no mistake. She wanted to be just like them!! Why? Well, they were just such model Obliviators!

And, she needed to remember them...
"Pleasure to meet you Ivee," Gia said, grinning. She was quite excited to meet all these new people, if it wasn't obvious. She liked to surround herself with a lot of close friends, rather than only a few. That way if ONR of them abandoned her, it wouldn't affect her as much.

New employee, hmm??

"Yes, I'm new to the british ministry, but not my job," Gia nodded, quite excited to get back in the swing. It was quite boring for her, that vacation! Hopefully there wouldn't be too much more! One is fine, thank you very much. Her job was what defined her, mad her....her!! Okay, that might be a little on the cheesy side, but it is true! She wasn't really her without her job.

She could still handle a job switch fine. She'd be able to do it and not fail. Just not emotionally...

He's looking much better? Oh right. Since he was attacked by weird symptomps of disease last time. But.. yeah, he felt so much better now. Seemed like the weird symptomps hadn't attacked him when he was on break. "Yeah, I feel much better now." he said. "My break was nice. And now I'm read for work." He felt such a workaholic now.. Especially since he was promoted to be an Undercover Buyer

BUMP!

Suddenly he felt that someone had bumped into him. Ouch.. How could that person become so clumsy? Dimitri almost fell down since he was skinny. His brown eyes spotted there was a woman there. Probably she was the one who had bumped into him. "Watch out your way, Maam." he said.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand... Who was this grumpy old man? The 21-year-old guy felt that he had watched him when he was speaking with Gavin. "Er.. Hello sir." he started to greet him. Awkward cue. This man didn't look so friendly. Meh. Even he was a sociable person but when he met someone who looks unfriendly, he felt so... clueless

"Are you a new employee, sir?" Dimitri tried to be polite to him.

Ivee nodded. New to the Ministry. What a surprise. "Same with me," Ivee said. "In fact, I'm new here to London. I used to live in Scotland but we transferred here." The new Senior Botanist smiled. She wasn't alone here.

Ivee smiled at Gia. She made a new friend, and that was good right? "And it's also a pleasure to meet you, Gia," Ivee had said. Ivee felt a bit better now that she had at least one friend. She's starting off the good path.

Well that vacation was very unwelcome..the woman hated having that much free time on her hands, it made her feel quite lost. Luckily the vacation was over and they were all back to work..sort of.

Not having spent a lot of time in the ministry building all of the last working year Layla decided to attend this orientation and acquaint herself with the ministry staff and get a feel of the new employees and hopefully even run into a few old friends.

...... huh?

The twenty-nine year old's head snapped back when she caught sight of her sister...she didn't even realize she was back in town and what in heavens name was she wearing? She shook her head and averted her eyes.

People working in Magical Law enforcement were seriously nuts.

As Dacs stood back observing the scene of new employees and the return and obvious relief of returning to work, she spotted the last person she ever wanted to see, her older half sister.

Dacs slowly walked over to her and said,"I was hoping you fell off a cliff somewhere and would lying on some hillside by now. But here you are. I guess I believe it now, roaches are hard to get rid of." in a low but very hostile tone.

They hated each other since the day they literally ran into each other and found out they share the same blood line.
