Victoria nodded in agreement. She thought it was so nice everyone could meet each other and have a good time with each other when they will be working together, probably not side by side, but on some on the same level. "Yes, my holidays were lovely. How were yours," she asked Annalise.


When Victoria saw the list he was holding she took it and looked over it. This was the scavenger hunt list. She wanted to go see what the list was like, but she hasn't got herself to go get the list yet. "Well I do fit in a few of these places," Victoria said looking back up at him from the list. "I have blonde hair, I'm from America and I was in Ravenclaw. So you can take any of those," She gave him a few good ones that she actually fit in, so that should be fine.

Victoria nodded. "Well there are many task in the Minister's office. There is the Minster of Magic, of course, then we have on Senior and Junior Undersecretary. Also Minstry Advisors, Media Liaisons, Internal Liaison Supervisor, Department Liaisons, Ministry Administration, Minstry Advisors, Media Liaisons, Internal Liaison Supervisor, Department Liaisons, Ministry Administration. Then we have Human Resources, which I am, and last Payroll & Minstry Treasury," Victoria took a breath after telling Gavin all the positions, "In each one there is specific jobs that would take forever to explain, but really each does something around to help the Ministry or Minister to held up and such."


"How nice. France seems like a wonderful place to be," Victoria told her with a smile. She shook her head, "No I was born in America and moved when I was two years old."

"It's nice to meet you as well Cade," she said with her smile still on her face. Looking around the room a little she nodded lightly, "I'm enjoying it a lot. So many nice people I've meet today." She doesn't recall running into any conversations with rude people so far, which was good. "Have you been enjoying it as well," she asked.

Layla snorted audibly. Beat the snot out of her..that was actually funny but she'd grant the woman no more than a snort, that's what she deserved."Mhm I'd love to see you try sweetheart." The cynicism was more than obvious in her tone. Did all the MLE'rs walk around with a stink face and a bad attitude? But then something Dacs said caused Layla to dropher own attitude and the disgusted face she was looking at the woman with. "You what?...you...you did?"

A frown replaced the shock expression on her face."Excuse me? What the hell? This is my father we're talking about! I'd be damned if i didn't care about the person who murdered him. Who...where?"

Ohter comment went ignored, she didn't care that wasn't important. And she especially didn't care that she turned to talk to someone else. She'd shoo the person away if she needed to.

Isobel was running just a little late. Babies did that to you. Always needing their mother. The boys were okay now though, so she was finally able to get back to the orientation. She was looking forward to it. Meeting all the new employees, and catching up with some of her old friends from up in MLE. It would be very fun. Izzy made her way over to the meet and greet area, deciding it would be beneficial to perhaps meet her new employees, and some of the new employees for the other levels.

"Ah, I see. Well I moved to Ireland for a bit. It was purely for my studies and then, a little later on, a job." Nothing very fabulous in that story but there it was. He supposed he should ask her a question too, otherwise she would get the impression that he didn't care. "And how many children do you have?" Because Merlin knew some women just didn't know when to stop.

Wow.

"Now that you've explained it that way I can see why I ended up running into so many of them! I imagine the department must be quite cramped...unless of course they have a lot of space." Most work areas hardly every provided enough space leaving him to deal with annoying, chatty people who thought it was fun to invade the already small space that was being provided by the superiors. He thought for moment before asking her another question. Yes, another one, because he wanted to know. "How often would you say something goes wrong here?" He needed to know what he had gotten himself into.

Gavin's eyes searched the room for anyone else that he could pull into a conversation. By now he had learnt that hardly anyone walked up to new persons and though he didn't like it, it was going to have to be his duty to strike up a few conversations himself. It was either that or go completely unnoticed for the remainder of the time. Not. Possible.

He caught sight of yet another person who seemed oblivious to the fact that he was there. Such a shame. He would have to change that.

"Hello." He said, stepping infront of her. Cue polite smile. "The name's Gavin Isaacs, and you are?" Might as well cut to the chase; he was trying to meet people. That was what this event was all about after all.

Ugh. When this was all over he was going to find a nice empty room and bask in the silence and solitude. Being social was NOT his thing.

Elizabeth smiled, "It is a wonderful place to be and I miss it a little." She laughed and smiled, "America? How delightful! I only been to New York, Norris Lake and Hawaii." She looked at the girl, "What part are you from?"

"Ireland? How delightful! My brother-in-law lived there. He is full Irish." She laughed and smiled until he asked how many children she had. "Well I had 5 kids from my first marriage but one of them died a couple years ago when she was 8, I have a stepson and I have a daughter with my current husband." She laughed and blushed. "My oldest is in his 20s..." Elizabeth felt so old.

"Oh how lovely!" Annalise smiled. "My father used to take us on vacations to South France." She grinned, smiling at the memory of her times spent vacationing with family as a teen. "Gardening is hard work, but the pay out is fabulous." She smiled. Her garden was what had made it possible to move out of her parent's house, and into working at the place of her dreams, with pretty much her dream job!

"Nice to meet you as well, M'aam." Annalise smiled, happy to be on seemingly good terms with at least ONE Department Head. "I'm looking forward to starting my new job here. The other employees all seem very friendly." She added, beaming. Annalise loved nice people.

"My holidays were aaaaamaaaziing!" Annalise laughed, thinking about her last family trip to Hawaii. Her parents had been so great, and it was nice being able to see her little brother, he would be attending Hogwarts or Beuxbatons soon enough. "We went on a cruise to Hawaii. I really had a lot of fun! There's lots of vegetation out there!" She added lamely, blushing at her nerdy love obsession with plants. She just couldn't help it sometimes!

Elizabeth smiled, "Oh, isnt it amazing and beautiful there? I used to take my children there all the time... and we used to live there for a few years as well before moving back to Scotland." She nodded, "Yeah, it is hard work and i bet it is fablous pay." She laughed, "I have a garden at the cottage my husband and I own." She smiled.

Jack frowned a little. "Elizabeth, Dear....she's a zombie...it might not be bleeding but you don't know what kind of side effect it could have...please? For me?" She kissed his nose and wrapped her arms around him, she was always trying to get out of getting help this one...but didn't she see that this was more than just about her, if she got infected what about the kids? Or their department?

Elizabeth frowned and lookd at him, "My love, nothing is going to happen to me. There wont be a side effect." She pouted up at him and sighed. "Please, love... you know how I feel about healers..." And yet she was a healer herself. She laid her head on his shoulder and just looked up at him with puppydog eyes. She fluttered her eyelashes to add to the effect.

Oh? Hershey hadn't noticed. Though it didn't seem to strike the woman as ODD or anything, so Hershey figured she didn't need to worry about it. Though she wouldn't hesitate to hex someone if they tried eating her brains. "I take that to mean you're not new." Hershey closed up the box of candy and put it in her pocket for later.

She shook the woman's hand since it had been offered, "Nice to meet you Jade. I'm Hershey McKenna, soon to be a Junior Dragon Researcher." Obviously that meant she worked in Magical Creatures, so she didn't feel the need to state it. "What exactly does a... "What was that word again? "Err.. what do you do?"

Derek was back to his working environment. Back to the Ministry, which meant, he could carry on his research on that infestation - or whatever that was - and keep track of what the zombies infested people were doing and the way they were acting.

There were new symptoms around, apparently, which was interesting. The thing was getting worse, it seemed, but maybe it would just make Derek's job easier.

The former Gryffindor decide to wander around the area, looking for more people with weirdbehaviour. There were probably more people with the... illness that he didn't know of. If he wanted to find out more things about this, he'd need more samples from different people!

Jack sighed and rolled his eyes. She always won these kinda things.."Fine...but at the first sign of anything wrong please promise you'll see someone?" He asked letting her win, is she was up to her old little tricks maybe things were a little more normal at the moment..

Elizabeth laughed and straighten up, beaming that she won. "Thanks, love." She kissed his cheek and hugged him, "Yeah, I promise if anything is wrong I'll see someone." She giggled and smiled up at him.

Jack sighed and shook his head. "You're crazy....you're lucky i like you..." He said making a small joke. "So, i'm sure you're excited to get back to work..." He knew she hated being cooped up in their house for the past year, but now Alice was big enough to be left with his mother during the day.

Ashley adjusted her dress and walked out the french doors to the balcony, purse clutched tightly in her hand. She was rubbish at this kind of thing, mingling with strangers in a formal setting. The blonde much rather preferred laid back gatherings in a coffee shop or bumping into someone in the cafeteria. Much less pressure in those situations.

Noting the large group of people already gathered together, the blonde stepped off to the side and tucked a strand of blonde hair behind her ear, debating on what to do next. Truthfully she just wanted to eat, kick off her shoes, and relax. No time for that now, though. She was here to meet...and greet. Yup. So Ashley put on her friendliest smile and tried to look approachable. She stopped fiddling with her purse too. Best not to look so nervous.

Tyler nodded along as he listened to Cade talk about her division of the department "Yes I am sure you do" yes they were allowed to do magic there "Yes.. its when they are out of Hogwarts that you will be really busy making sure they follow the law." meaning no underage magic whatsoever! He nodded once more "Yes I agree with you, I can see why its never a dull moment for your division." although there were never dull moments in quite a few of the MLE divisions depending on what sort of work you liked.

He nodded "Yes I think I will enjoy it too. Yes I do love investigating things, but I dont mind a bit of research either" he smiled as he remembered how much he had loved investigating things back in the muggle police department, getting tips and leads and investigating them. She then asked him a question "Well.. not for this division exactly.. I worked in muggle Law Enforcement for about 4 years. So I have done quite a bit of investigating any information we get, as well as done some undercover work. So..in that sense I do have some experience." well thats how he saw it he had some experience for this department even if may not be in MLE.



He smiled as she laughed "No worries, I am glad you are." cause they would be working together quite a bit and it would be not so good if they were not looking forward to working together since they were in the same division.

He nodded as she pointed out a couple of people "Ah games and sports.. our department will provide them with security.. while we check any .. funny objects being taken to games." yes they couldn't have muggle items distracting the players now that was for sure "[b]Ah yes.. our boss. He does? well then I guess it will be nice working under him, such a large department for him to handle.

He looked at Melissa as she asked about his brother, he nodded "Yes.. yes he is.. he an Auror. Ah I see.. my brother did some work up there for a couple of years" he said wondering if his brother knew Melissa's husband "Ah they are of that age? Well it will be a long time before my son reaches that age." he chuckled, he then saw that she blushed before apologising "No.. no.. its fine. I believe its entirely upto the person as to how much information they want to reveal, so its entirely upto you what you say" he nodded as he gave her small smile as he looked around at the people that had gathered here. He was slowly getting to know them all bit by bit, soon he would know them more often after they would work together.



Tyler looked round as he saw a woman that he had not noticed before for some reason, he smiled as she seemed just as nervous as he did. So he decided to make the first move and greet her since the way she was standing off to the side she seemed like she didnt know what to do.. whether to let people come to her or she go and meet them. He walked over to her "Hi.. saw you standing here all alone and decided that it was better if you had someone to talk to .. rather than just stand here" yeah that was a good simple start at least, no matter how nervous he was, this was what this event was for, to meet people so thats what he was going to do. "Are you.. a new employee or returning? " he asked before giving himself a mental headslap "Oh! my name is Tyler.. new employee to the Ministry" he said introducing himself to this woman.

Elizabeth laughed, "Oh I am? Well good to hear it." She smiled and gave him a quick peck. "I love you and yes!" She squealed, "I am really excited!" She giggled and twrled around him then looked up at him.

Jack smirked. "Yes, you are...very lucky.." He said and ran his fingers through his hair. "So i don't believe i've met the other new Ambassador yet.." Jack was trying to make conversation, at the moment it seemed the best way to make things seem more normal..

Elizabeth smiled, "I am very lucky." She giggled and looked up at him, "You havent?" She raised an eyebrow, "Love... you know the guy who pulled me away when I got bitten? Well that is the new ambassador." She smiled over at Charles.

Ashley was just about to go back inside when she noticed a man she hadn't seen before approaching her. She smiled a little, eyeing him curiously. "Hi." She appreciated the gesture, really. She'd probably looked like a prize idiot standing by herself like she had been. "Yeah, some company would be nice." She added with a small smile. "Oh no, I'm not new." Though based on how antisocial she was being, she understood why he thought that. "I've been working here for a couple of years now. And you? New or returning?" She'd never seen him before but that didn't mean much. Ashley didn't have many friends in the ministry yet, which was quite sad actually. Oh! And introductions. The blonde laughed softly, extending her hand to the guy. "Nice to meet you Tyler, I'm Ashley."

He GLARED at the new person on the scene. No, it was most certainly NOT okay. HAD SHE SEEN HIS SHOES? Okay, he was calm. Yes. Calm. Deeeep breaths. Thankfully, Elizabeth caught his attention once more. Go? Yes, they should probably leave. He looked down at her hand on his arm, surprised by the unauthorised touch. Obviously, he saw the bite too and shook his head "She bit you." Who did that? WHO BIT RANDOM PEOPLE?

"Hello." He greeted the man who'd called her 'Darling', believing that it must be her husband. He waved his hand in disbelief at the question and just shook his head, wondering if every day was going to be like this. If so, he needed a larger supply of shoes.

Kensi just seemed to stare..merlin...she looked a bit miserably at the man...normally the redhead would have been snappy...sarcastic...but kind of felt bad about the whole ordeal...UGH. She pulled out her money pouch and tried to hand it him..."Here...buy yourself new ones..I-I'm sorry!" she cried, her lower lip trembling a bit.

Well.

Kensi now had an enemy at the ministry. Not that she wasn't used to having them...she just didn't have any here in England yet.

UGH.

So a little nervous.. about meeting people like this. I'd rather we start working and then meet people as we work with them. But.. I guess this is one thing we have to do." he smiled as she laughed softly, he smiled some more as she extended her hand to him. "Nice to meet you too Ashley" he said shaking her hand. Well that was introductions done, now they could have a chat to pass the time as well as get to know each other. Both would be enjoyed.

Kyle Tanner made her way into the meet-and-greet. She looked around wondering what and who she would find or see. She spotted some people she recognized from the cafeteria - that dark dark day when she tried to tell Simon that his hand was not food. She grimaced at the thought her stomach turning in what could have been disgust but was more likely something far far worse indeed.

She licked her lips nervously so as to wet them. She didn't want to be nervous now. As her tongue graced across the edge of her teeth she couldn't help but feel that indeed it was different. Her teeth were sharper.

As she walked into the area she wasn't exactly looking and walked right smack head first into the wall. Which only caused her eyes to look even more glazed and unfocused. Goodness she didn't want to look like a fool. Turning around she leaned against the wall, her head in her hands.

"Merlin that smarts" she groaned to herself.

Victoria just smiled at the lady, "It's okay, I'm very nervous myself. Not knowing anyone, nor really knowing where anything is, it's all a bit much." She looked around at all the people. "Many people seem to already know each other. They must work in the same department and things." She wondered if it was easy to meet people or if she would only meet a select few. Either would be fine.

She then laughed nervously, "Well I think there has been some things going on and my department head has been very busy. So I will find out soon what I am exactly doing. Whatever it is, I will learn quickly... I hope." She then looked directly at Melissa, "So have you been working here long?"

Victoria smiled and breathed a bit easier. It was nice to know someone else that was knew. She hoped she wasn't scaring Mariel away by telling her personal things. She had been over what had happened and was just glad to be starting knew. Then her smile grew bigger, of course, any chance to speak of her love was something to smile about. Taking out the picture from her purse she showed Mariel. "He is seven this year." She couldn't believe she had a seven year old already, he was growing so quickly. "He was so nervous for the move. Leaving all his little friends."

Victoria then smiled even bigger. "Oh you are? That's wonderful.. I'm so glad to know someone else in my department. I.. I don't know exactly what I'm doing yet though, I hope I find out soon." She didn't know if Mariel knew what she was doing yet or not, but she knew she was nervous not knowing.

Ashley nodded, raising an eyebrow. "You're quite good at reading people, you know." And a small smile played on her lips as she eyed him curiously. "I guess I was a little lost, I mean I'm rubbish at walking into a room and jumping into a conversation..." She always felt like she was interrupting somehow. Shrug. She was used to feeling that way now so it really wasn't anything new. Smiling, the blonde nodded her head. "Oh yeah, I've loved it here so far. Things were a bit slow my first year but they've been picking up recently." Which was good because since she'd moved out of her parents house work had become her main focus. "I work in Magical Accidents and Catastrophes." Interesting department, that was. She smiled upon hearing he was a newbie. "Don't worry, the people here are great." Grin. Best to reassure the guy, yeah? "And you seem to be doing fine with the whole meeting people thing, so just keep it up." He'd be settled in in no time, Ash could tell. "What Department do you work for?" Because she was curious now and she smiled at him as she waited for him to answer.
