Nodding as Charles spoke again, Gavin would make a note of it, and do a group of those interested in learning sometime early spring maybe. Once the orientation was done he was hoping to meet with the ambassadors as a group and make sure everything was done that he'd asked for before jumping into language classes.

"Absolutely. Charles is right here Elizabeth, the amount of languages you speak is impressive, and it was hard placing you in the right spot. I didn't want to waste any of your abilities." he said with a kind smile.

Turning back to Charles as he called him on the troll thing. "Well I speak one word in troll. But I wouldn't say it's one I should say in the presense of a lady. So no I don't technically speak it yet. Sorry."

Elizabeth smiled a little at what Charles said then turned her head to Gavin, waiting to see what he would say. She smiled at what he said as well, "Well, thank you kindly, Gavin. You are always sweet." She loved talking to Gavin since he was so nice like his wife though she was closer to Gavin than Kat. She chuckled and blushed at what he said about the one word. "You are a gentleman, Gavin." Elizabeth smiled at him.

Of course he was right! He was Charles Taylor! Gavin would learn in time. He wanted to roll his eyes so badly as she smiled at Gavin, but refrained. It was HIM who'd reassured her, Weedy Boy had just jumped on the bandwagon.

Okay, so if he was right, Gavin spoke one word in Troll and it wasn't a pleasant one. Why would he need that? Charles could do nothing but smirk at the man. JUUUDGED. But I asked a man what he'd just said in a pub down in Berlin and it turned out to be in troll." Shrugging what else could he say! "Never had to use it before and hopefully never will."

Sensing belatedly that her nerves had made her come across more serious than she actualy wasn, Melissa grinned and shook Victoria's hand. "Hello Victoria. Boy am I nervous here."she whispered to her.

"I've been with the Ministry since I transferred back here, but I hardly know anyone here, and that's so embarrassing." Then she heard that Victoria wasn't sure what her actual position was.

"Oh I'm sure by the time you start on your first day, you'll know what you'll be doing. But I'm sure you'll be find. I knew what I would be doing when I was appointed to my unit, but I had to still learn how do to it." Melissa blushed

SPOILER!!: Tyler

"You Are?? I'm so sorry that I haven't met you before." Melissa said when she heard that Tyler was in fact in the same office as her. "To be honest I don't even know most of my co-workers, which I am really embarrassed about. " she whispered to him.

Melissa looked around and was glad that the Ministry had decided to organize this meet and greet. She hoped to meet at least more people than she had the last few years.

"I really hope so. I like working with artefacts. They all have a story of their own. But there's a lot I want to do too. I want to be an investigator one day. But I know that I will have to bide my time and learn the ropes from the bottom up, like everyone did." She told him.

Shaking the man's hand excitedly, Melissa said, "Hello Gavin or should I call you Mr. Higareda? I never know whether calling someone by their first name is too informal or disrespectful." Melissa blushed. But she quickly changed the subject.
"I worked an an undercover buyer. My ability to speak other languages other than English helped me a lot. It was a very challenging job but I loved it. I miss working undercover." Melissa told him.

She sighed knowing that working as a Muggle Artefacts Restoration Assistant would never be exciting as doing what she did with the IMC but for now, she knew that she would have do her assignment the best she could and hope that maybe one day, she'll get to work undercover again.

Melissa could see that more people had arrived and made her way to say hello to another group of people when she accidentally bumped into someone.

"Oh I'm so sorry. That was really clumsy of me." Melissa apologized but then stopped talking when she realized that the woman was addressing another woman, who bore a similar resemblance to her. Sensing the hostility and not wanting to eavesdrop, she began to walk away.

Gosh, Gia was more attracting than she realized. Why else would all these people be coming over to her for?? It certainly wasn't horrid, because they would all have looks of disgust on their faces, and would immediately walk away. Thankfully, they didn't.

"Nice to meet you Bejing!" She said, smiling. The woman didn't seem to be all for handshakes, though that was quite alright with her. She wasn't exactly intent on shaking hands with others. She only did it because it was the polite thing to do. Polite people do polite things. That's just how it worked!

"Sort of...." Gia answered, in reply to Bejing's question. "I'm new to the British ministry, but not the job." She was quite proud of it, actually. Her mum and dad are senior Obliviators at the Italian Ministry, so that's one reason she ever started wanting this job. They were great people, make no mistake. She wanted to be just like them!! Why? Well, they were just such model Obliviators!

"Pleasure to meet you Ivee," Gia said, grinning. She was quite excited to meet all these new people, if it wasn't obvious. She liked to surround herself with a lot of close friends, rather than only a few. ~~That way if ONR of them abandoned her, it wouldn't affect her as much.~~

"Yes, I'm new to the british ministry, but not my job," Gia nodded, quite excited to get back in the swing. It was quite boring for her, that vacation! Hopefully there wouldn't be too much more! One is fine, thank you very much. Her job was what defined her, mad her....her!! Okay, that might be a little on the cheesy side, but it is true! She wasn't really her without her job.

She could still handle a job switch fine. She'd be able to do it and not fail. Just not emotionally...

"Oh, okay" Beijing nodded as she listened "Im old to the ministry, but new to my job!" She was not old of course, only twenty four. But she had worked for the ministry for three years, and wanted to try something different for a change. "So is Gia short for something?" it sounded Like the short form of a longer name.

He was tempted to give Elizabeth a half sympathetic, half amused look, but again, refrained. Poor woman needed approval from Pigreader.

There was some truth to this. Artifacts tended to see a lot in their time, though they didn't have any way of telling them what had been seen. "I see, well, you'll do well with that attitude." He remembered being at the bottom of the job chain, being trodden on daily. He certainly didn't miss it.

"I'm honored to know that, thank you Elizabeth." he said a soft smile on his face. Laughing again he shook his head "No indeed, it's a bit of a rude word, so I wouldn't be repeating it." His gaze went back to Charliees when he spoke "I plan on adding it eventually at the moment though I want to get fluent in Mermish and also move on to Greek and Latin, and possible Swahili as well."

"I do. I learned a bit of Latin as a child, but not enough to amount to anything, forgot most of it." tilting his head slightly he nodded "I'd like that, it'd definitely help me with learning it faster if I was able to converse in the language as well!" Nodding he returned the smile "I think that'd help as well with Swahili, and perhaps Charles would join us there with Greek and Swahili if he's looking to learn those."

Yep so the entire conversation had turned into languages and what they spoke and didn't." Heh definitely able to tell which level they were on! A smile played at his lips as the guy appeared to be intent on getting to know Elizabeth a little more. He mentioned a few times getting with her and now conversing with her? Poor man, she was a married woman. Her husband was standing nearby!

Elizabeth glanced at Charles and Gavin, "Perfect then." She smiled, "We can all three converse in the languages so we can learn it a little faster and better." She laughed and smiled. It was obvious what level they were on... most people probably would think their conversation was boring since it was mainly about languages which is their work but Elizabeth loved her job. She was excited to start working with the other ambassadors and maybe her marriage would strengthen to what it was like before all that happened to ruin it. Jack and her were trying to work it out...

As a child? Who taught their kids Latin? It was hard enough teaching the little snotbags English. Pft. "Definitely. I find I learn faster when I converse, rather than reading through language books." Elizabeth nodded, "I agree with you. Conversing is probably the best way to learn it." She laughed, "I can speak all the ones I know but I usually speak English though sometimes I converse with Jack and my family in French. What about you?"

With that she looked up at another voice nearby her, that seemed to be addressing her.

"I'm terribly sorry for that! You see, I'm just really nervous right now, being new and all," She rambled on to the man, who she had so obviously ran into. Gosh, hopefully she didn't do any severe damage!! That would be just dreadful! Think of ALL the apologies she'd have to come with it!! And then there'd have to be a "sorry" present which would be worthwhile, which she probably didn't have the extra galleons for. Not yet, at least.

Well, Gia should at least be courteous and introduce herself! "I'm Gia Barbieri," She said, extending her hand to shake. Hopefully she wouldn't make a fool of herself, which is the least likely thing she would want to do. She was nervous as it is!

Tyler chuckled "Well you wouldn't have since its my first day here, I have just joined the Ministry after years of pushing by my brother." he smiled "No need to be embarrassed.. sometimes some people" like his brother "Work more than they meet people. " he shook his head a little "But you have met me now, so I am sure we will be working together quite a bit.. being in the same department and all. " he then looked around as she did "So... you know anyone here.. that you could give me heads up about?" he asked wondering if she could tell him who was who at least, if she wanted to tell him anything else that would be good too it was entirely upto her.

He nodded in agreement it was not, so at least he wasnt the only one that had forgotten to introduce himself, but he must remember to introduce himself everytime he had met someone new. He smiled as she asked about his position, he shook his head "No.. no.. I am in Misuse of Muggle Artefacts, I am the control officer. So I go out there and have a look for anything muggle item that may have been misused. So maybe a teacup that thinks it is supposed to scare muggles as part of its job or something. " yeah he was going to love his job, being out there and collecting those artefacts "But I would like to become an Auror.. sometime in the future" he revealed as he remembered how his brother had said how awesome it was to be an Auror

Alex walked to the employee meet and greet, hoping to meet some new people. It was exciting to have this new job, it sounded like tons of fun. He had been looking forward to meeting new friends ever since he found out he got the job.

His bloodshot eyes looked around at all the people. He sighed and continued to walk around and suddenly, he ran into the wall. What the...? When did that wall get there? He blinked, staring at it for a minute. Erm...this was...weird. Why'd he keep running into walls, lately? He was never EVER EVER clumsy. He sighed and leaned against the wall, glancing around at everyone, hoping for someone to talk to.

Caedwyn crossed the short distance to the meet and greet area, her eyes constantly roving the crowd for familiar faces. There were definitely a few MLEers in the mix, and she nodded to them. New employees? How would she even know how to spot them?

In general, Cade was in favor of mixers, but if the point of this exercise was for her to meet the new MLE employees... she'd much prefer plying them with baked goods and coffee in their own office. But that was her.

Elizabeth saw a guy run into a wall and looked confused. He had bloodshot eyes which was weird... She went over to him and cleared her thought, "Uh, are you okay? What is going on here?" She raised an eyebrow, "Why are your eyes bloodshot?" She looked at him and frowned.

Elizabeth was walking around when she accidently bumped into someone. She took a step back, "I am so sorry... I didnt mean to bump into you. Are you okay?" She grimaced and blushed in embarassment.
