Direct Floos The Direct Floos are not public access and each is passworded. Only MLE employees and those accompanied by someone who works here are able to use these floos. They serve as a link to the other areas in which MLE employees spend their time, that is the Security Office in the Atrium on level 8 and, for the Wizengamot in particular, near the courtrooms on level 10. Of course, MLE employees of other divisions have been noted to use these floos as a shortcut on occasion, especially when a visit to the Deli on level 8 is in order. Aside from the Floos that you can find here in this internal foyer area, there is also a seating area with comfortable couches set along the wall, with little tables if the Law Enforcement employees feel like taking a bit of a break but don't have time to leave the department itself. You are here. |
In an eruption of green flame, Prometheus arrived in the Floo Station on Level Two. He had arrived early that morning, and had been deep in the Ministry, down on Level Ten; the Courtrooms. No case nor trail had been in session, however the young up and coming Ministry Prosecutor, had been busy over looking some transcripts of a case that had gone before the Wizenagmont a few days earlier, on which Prometheus had taken point; it had been a simple civil suit, but the simple ones were usually the ones that required the most work, the nuances being a different style to those involved in a criminal case. With a wave of his wand, any of the residual powder from the floo was banished from his suit, his Lion Tooth wand quickly returned to his position in his hidden wrist holster. Opening his brief case, the young man took out the files he had removed from the cabinet the night previous; them having been revealent to the case. He ensured that all were accounted for, as he turned his body and began to stroll towards the Hit Wizards, Security and Aurors Office, a neccesary stop on the way to the Filling Room. |
For Sarah and Erin With the memo scrunched in his closed fist, Van stalked to the Direct Floos and waited impatiently, not bothering to sit down in the comfy chairs, he was too agitated for that. He DID spend a bit of time trying to control his anger but for him, this was the beginning of the end. He'd had enough and something needed to be done. But first things first, he needed to have a quick word with Damien and Gabriel, because he'd need their help. He needed them to have his back, for this part at least. |
He was here!!! Running was not his style at all. Rushing he could do, but not run. With one of his wands already gripped in his hand he approached Van and gave him the customary head bob 'Sup. "What's going on, Chief? Sounded rather urgent." |
Something was wrong, he could tell. Sharp as a tack. Upon hearing his name being bellowed by Van, Gabriel rose from his seat in the office, shoved the files he was reading into a draw, and marched quickly out towards he floo's. Damien was already there, he could see. An agitated Van completed the mix. And then he heard the word 'urgent'....yes it certainly seemed so. Flicking his wand out of it's holster, Gabe approached the two men, giving them both a nod of greeting. "What's up, boss?" |

The few seconds it had taken the two men to arrive was juuust enough to let Van calm himself a half of a fraction. A half of a quarter of a fraction. A half of a quarter of an eight of a fraction. And the fraction was tiny to begin with. "Borr has called an immediate meeting of the department heads relating to... rubbish." Grumble. "I don't like the way things are shaping up, and it would be useful for the two of you to... listen in. If you would accompany me, and wait in the office, I'm sure you're both aware it is charmed with listening spells?" "So if you would come with me now, we shall go directly there." He gestured to the floos, but waited to hear their acknowledgement rather than moving. |

"Absolutely, whatever you need." He looked at Van with a steely, determined gaze, then across at Damien. After the meeting they had in the Leaky, Gabe was sure he would want to help in any way he could, too. |
Damien nodded his head and a smirk formed his lips. "Got it, Van. Think we'll get to bust some heads down there?" It could be said that the older man had a childlike gleam in his eye. Turning his head he gave Gabe a nod and then clapped him on the back. "Ready to get some work done?" Funtimes! |

"All of them," With the possible exception of Erica Radley, "Are trouble." And he meant the Ministry cult leaders, not necessary cultists in general. There was one in particular that... well. Well. "I'm bloody close to doing something drastic." But no. Evander KNEW how to be patient. And this cult business had been going on for a few years now. Certainly he was patient, but time was suddenly starting to pass even more quickly to the point where he realised if they didn't do something soon... Quote:
"... doubtful. You'll sit in the little office, and if anyone finds you there, deactivate the listening charms and your cover is simply a meeting between the two of you. Perfectly legit." He knew that gleam. A gleam he had to suppress in himself. "Alright then. You know the password. See you down there in a moment." Van grabbed a handful of the provided powder, muttered the password, and vanished through the floo to the office on the tenth level. |
Once he got rid of the crowd in the Picket Line, Ryan directly made his way to level two; his department. It was going to be his department for perhaps two or three months longer then he was planning to retire. He had private reasons for that so perhaps this was going to be his last cult and MLE related case. Once he arrived to the direct floos, the blond man stopped and stared at the 'Security' and 'Wizengamot' written on the huge fireplaces. Meh... Gavin was following, right? As he made his way up here from the Atrium, Ryan never looked back if the man was following but who said he needed to anyway? Sir Gawain was experienced enough about working with him so no doubt he managed to follow. ''Have i ever mentioned that i hate this kind of transportation?'' |

"Once or twice," he mused answering his friend's question as he met up with Ryan by the floos on Level 2. "And its certainly not the best way to get around." But then he wasn't aware whether or not Ryan and the rest of MLE had reaquired their apparitions licenses. Not that it mattered at the moment. |

Finally turning back to look at his friend, Ryan flashed a smile, which more looked like a smirk, at him. So, he had mentioned it before. Of course, he had always hated the Floo Network. It was not...neat, at all and he did not mean it about hygiene. It made it obvious everytime one had to leave and arrive. Those green flames. With the excitement over taking the cult down made the floo currently the safest way to move about though. Since most MLE employees decided to disregard the apparation ban and kept apparating around. Being here made sure that no one would see them. ''I do totally agree, Gawain. But today they seem a bit more friendly. Maybe they'd never seem friendly to a Muggle born's eye but this is what the situation calls for.'' Ryan had never forgotten that he was a muggle born wizard. ''Let's enjoy it'' And with those last words, he took a handful of the floo powder, walked in one that said 'Wizengamot'. Freed the power from his grip slowly and once the green flames rose, he was gone. |

Not exactly something someone would think about a floo, or apparition or any mode of transportation for that matter. Gavin was about to comment on the fact that TRANSPORTATION wasn't exactly friendly nowadays but he was stopped by another comment. One that involved another one of Ryan's encentricities...the fact that he couldn't get past his heritage of being a muggleborn. "If you say so," he said with a shake of the head pushing it off. Watching and waiting as Ryan took the floo first, Gavin grabbed a handful of floo powder for himself. After his friend had disappeared, he stepped into follow, throwing the powder before speaking once more. "Wizengamot," he pronounced disappearing with the green flames. |
Arden decided to take a break from her morning work and walk around. Hey, she could, right? She looked in to the Floo room, which she had never used before. She was always a little nervous about Floo networks and all that, but she was working on it. Feeling that she was intruding an area she needn't be in at the moment, Arden stepped back out and back to her desk. |
Upon leaving Emily's office, Simon had headed back to the office to check on the security workers that might be around. However he hadn't the best of luck finding anyone there, so he slipped as quickly as he had entered through the one door on through to the one on the other side of the room making his way out to the direct floo area. The Security office on Level 8 was another bet to find who he would be working with and that was was the quickest option possible. There would be plenty of time on the way back to see the general consensus of what was going on. He crossed the room and towards the fireplace specifically marked for his destination. Then grabbing some floo powder from the mantle, threw it into the fire and stepped inside. The auror saying the password before disappearing in the green flames. |
