"Yep, I'm new," Charlotte said. Oh, and she was too? "Where did you work before you came here?" Charlotte decided that this person was slightly crazy, but that was alright with her. It made Emmy more epic.

"Department of Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures." Emmy replied. And GASP! Did Emmy just remembered the whole name? "How about you?" Normal questions. This is what Emerald would ask meeting anyone. She had to admitt that it's quite boring.

That was a long name, and a lot harder to remember than the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes. "I worked here and there," Charlotte said with a shrug. "Never in the Ministry though. Mostly at muggle places. I would definitely rather have a job having to do with magic though." Which was why she was glad she was there.

OOC: Crazy people are cooler than normal people

Emerald smiled. Muggle places? Does that mean more soda??

"Yes, it's great working here. There are great people-really nice, great condition...everything." Emmy said. "But I don't think I mind working with muggle either. Do you get to watch a lot of movies?" Muggle places got to have movies!

Charlotte smiled. "Yeah, I really love it here so far." Everyone was nice. Though, she had only been there for a few hours. "Um, well I never worked at a movie theatre. I saw some movies, but not because of work."

Still. Good enough!

"So what did some of your works involve?" Emerald asked curiously. Anything couldn't be more interesting than this! After all, magical adventures v.s. non-magical adventures-anyone would pick the first one-wizards or not.

Charlotte considered the question. "Once I worked at a community place and helped teach a class about writing." She had felt awkward there, but it had been fun. "And another time I taught Sunday School classes, but I didn't get paid for that." She had volunteered, and it was fun.

His entrance was silent, probably unnoticeable. Cristobal liked to do it that way, which made it easier in some way to not regret that he was late already for the meeting they had been called inside the conference room.

Although, he was there to meet the people he was to work with for time indefinite and he wished, he hoped to have a good relation with them. But that was to be discussed, or thought about later. He gave a light smile to everyone as he walked towards the snack table, from which he grabbed a small cinnamon roll.

Looking around the room, Demarcus realized that no one else had brought their pets to work. What was wrong with them?! The boy was tempted to frown in disproval at everyone, but Bubbles didn’t seem to mind at all. The silly feline loved attention. Cats were simply adorable, especially this bundle of white fur. They were also great conversation starters. People loved cats. If his fellow co-workers loved cats, then they would love Bubbles. And if they loved Bubbles, Demarcus himself would be loved. It’s a win-win for everyone!

Oh, look! Someone had already been lured in by Bubbles’ people-attracting charm. Excellent!

“Nice to meet you, Landon!” Demarcus said, shaking the man’s hand. Pssh! Forget about being all formal and doing the whole Mister and Miss thing. They were all friends here, right? Eeexactly. There was no need for all that rubbish. Unless they preferred being called Mister or Miss. Then Demarcus would respect their wishes and call them whatever they want to be called. But Landon looked like the kind of guy who didn’t mind being called by his first name. People like that were Demarcus’ favourite.

He couldn’t help put grin when Landon addressed Bubbles. Oh, yes, this one was totally going to be his best work buddy! “Do you want to pet her, Landon?” the boy asked, nudging the white cat toward the man. “Bubbles loves people. Especially when they scratch her riiight here.” Demarcus pointed to a spot right behind the cat’s ear and nodded his head. “So, are you new here?”

Demarcus turned his head in the direction of a sneeze. Was that sneeze caused by Bubbles’ presence? Was bringing Bubbles to work too much awesome for one day? “Bless you!” he squeaked at the blonde. The smile on his face faded a little after what she had said, though. “If it were up to me, every day would be Bring Your Pet to Work Day!” He took a sip of his pumpkin juice. “My name’s Demarcus Diggle.”

"Sorry!" Squeaked Skye, reaching for the same cinnamon roll. She took her hand away, taking a jelly bean instead, grinning when she tasted bitter lime. "I'm Skye." She said, offering a hand. "Skye Dillon." She studied him. He looked careful, as if he was planning his actions before performed them. She gave a small smile, knowing how different she was.

Cristobal took his hand away from the cinnamon roll, too. Though, his action led for the roll to fall onto the floor and get dirty. He was such a klutz. He bent down to pick it up then toss it to the nearest trash bucket around. "Nice to meet you, Skye...I'm Cristobal Romero..." He said with a smile back, taking her hand for the shake.

Watching him as he binned the roll, Skye smiled, shaking his hand. "Cristobal? I like it, it's unusual. And Romero? Is it... Spanish?" She guessed, assuming it wasn't an English name. "What do you think of the ministry?" She asked. "I've just started."

It didn't take Bradley long until he was walking into the empty conference room. He peeked around for a seat while wondering if whether he should have waited for someone else to come with him. Maybe he had read the message wrong or something and the meeting wasn't till much later. Well there was nothing he really could do now was there.

He stepped forward and slid into a seat at the table taking a look around the place once more. It looked....cosy. His eyes then fell onto the table where a bottle of water sat, thankful for something to do he grabbed the bottle and took a swing.

Frida silently entered the conference room. There were not many people present inside when she arrived, so she took a seat at random and placed her belongings down in front of her; a notepad and quill, and a small sports bottle filled with water.
She took a sip of her drink and sighed deeply, looking around the room that had looked so different a couple of years ago. A small smile crept onto her face at the memories, and she managed to give a small laugh.

Immediatly and mandatory were two words that were very clear in the notice so when he made his way to the conference room Gavin wasn't dilly dallying. He stepped into the room and looked around, spotting Brad and Frida and noticing no one else already there.

Maybe he had been moving too fast.

But then he had a job not only as employee of the department but the department's connection to the rest of the ministry especially Level One so him being early probably wasn't a bad thing. He nodded simply to acknowledge Brad and smiled at Frida and moved around the table towards his fellow division worker still remaining standing not wanting to get comfortable too much before they started.

Emerald walked her way to the conference room, feeling curious of what sort of a meeting they're gonna have. Dressed in her best, Emmy glidded into an empty seat beside all her workers. Emmy took a bottle of spring water from the counter and drank some, she's ready for the meeting!

Iridesca hurried towards the Conference Room with her hands full of papers. She was anxious to get all of this started and handed out. She entered the room with her usual smile and sat in the middle of the round table. She quickly started spreading out her papers and notes. Once settled, she flicked her wand and a glass of strawberry tea landed in front of her....o yes she needed her some strawberry tea to make it through this all.

She finally looked up and glanced around the table smiling at those that were there. She looked over her shoulder towards the work cubicles trying to figure out where everyone was.

Finally, she said, "Welcome to the meeting everyone! Thank you to those of you that were punctual. We have alot to get started with today. New assignments and tying up old loose ends..." she said grabbing for a purple notebook.

SHe glanced around the table, "Let's just jump right in. Does any division have ideas for the oxygenating of the Ministry and Diagon Alley?" she asked with as normal of a voice as she could...she thought this was a waste of their time but she was going to follow directions none the less.

Frida made sure that there was nobody else about to speak before she did so herself. Finally, she raised her voice. "Well, I was thinking that it might be a good idea to have some sort of continuing education programs within the Ministry...especially courses that may deal with muggle technology and how to nullify such equipment the moment we arrive on a scene involving non-magical persons. Preferably, the effect from such charms would be felt over a good range." She paused for a moment, allowing herself to gather her now scrambling thoughts. "It's amazing to me that more cases are not around that involve the spread of observed magical activity via video recorder, cellular device, et cetera." Greatly in part to this very level within the Ministry.
Frida grew quiet after her suggestion and took another sip of her water.

Emerald thought for a moment about that topic. She really don't know what to say. To her, the Ministry and Diagon Alley already seemed really...combined. Emmy cleared her throat quietly before speaking what was on her mind. "May I ask, what is it's purpose for this topic?" asked Emerald confidently. "I mean, what are we aiming for here?"

Bradley had been watching the table for something to do, his water bottle in his hand. He had already said hello to Frida, Gavin and Emerald as they each came in to join him. Now he was just waiting for anyone else to join them and of course the person who threw the whole meeting in the first place. He'd held his bottle half way to his mouth when the door opened again and entered
Iridesca. He quickly put his bottle back down and made himself presentable.

Brad opened his notebook to a new page in waiting if they needed to write anything down. "How about hanging a picture here and there?" He asked jumping into the discussion on how to improve the Ministry and Diagon Ally Although his idea was mainly for the Ministry.

Iridesca smiled at such an easy solution that no one had suggested yet, "Actually that might be an easy solution...any ideas on the themes of these pictures?"

Iridesca smiled at the woman and tried to keep back a small giggle...she had to admit that this had been her exact thought when the Minister had mentioned this task, but as a Department Head, she was just doing her job, "Well, I have to admit that is a very valid point...it seems that the Minister would like us to come up with ideas to make the Ministry more...ummm...homey in a way...his suggestions revolved around plants and such..." she paused and then continued, "but I think he is open to any other ideas as well"

The Department Head shook her head up and down as the woman spoke...she knew the woman was a veteran in the department...even Iridesca herself had worked with her at one point, "Good point, I'll make a note of that for us to investigate." she said trying not to shoot down the woman's idea, but trying to keep everyone on the topic at hand.

She flicked her wand and a little cabinet on the back wall opened to reveal a chalkboard. She continued flicking her wand to make a list of the things on the agenda for everyone to be able to follow along and pipe in when they could.

Bradley smiled as he jotted something down in his notepad. Frowning he bit his lip and looked up, "How about simple pictures? Of scenery and the like?" He asked looking towards Iridesca. As he waited for comfirmation on that he turned back to him notebook and started thinking of any more ideas that came to mind.

Hmm...

Utau listened carefully "I think it would be good if the pictures had light colors, like blue, green and pink, those colors can calm the people that see them" she said, she couldn't pronounce well the 'l's' and 'r's', but she hoped everyone could understand what she was saying "It's what muggles call 'color psicology', also, I think that some light, classical music could help"

Why is it all of a sudden, they're talking about pictures?

Emmy believes that out of all things, plants and flowers are the best answers. They're just as great to look at as the paintings and adds fresh air and sweet scents to the room. "Instead of having paintings or portraits, we can have plants and flowers pots around the room. They give us great feelings and a relaxing sensation." suggest Emerald. "And, I think it is also important that the rooms should be well designed. Meaning that the colors should match well and the furnitures should be facing and organized in a neat way." added Emerald after some thoughts. "I have a book of room decorations if anyone would like to take a look?"

Gavin listened from the seat he had taken at the table as everyone else from the department seemed to talk about how to make things more how the interim minister apparently wanted things.

Um...wasn't that that the whole purpose the extensive and no doubt costly renovations that had already taken place?

The charms worker turned reminiscator wasn't too interested to be all honest, even after discussing things within the division on a previous occasion. It just seemed a waste of time when the department could be doing so much more with their time. "May I suggest that anything suggested be made sure not to something that can potentionally react badly with magic or other circumstances especially within this department," he remarked finally speaking up. "We don't exactly have a good track record of being an area of the ministry where things behave totally opposite of how they're supposed to."

The flood 2 years ago when Wes was still department head and he was still a division head was certainly an example of that. And plants could always been on the dangerous side when mixed with stuff it shouldn't be and that was without mix-ups that could happen when picking the actual plants.
