Chelsea smiled to Evander as he directed their attention to the board. It was nice to finally have a description of all the different departments - she was SO going to save that for future references. I mean who didn't want to know all about their jobs?

NOPE no questions here. So far. She'd learned about Wizengamot from her roommate - nice place. Purple robes.

Blinking she just started taking notes on the different departments.

Jezabel Black 10-15-2011 07:09 AM

Lights smiled, pointing her wand first at the noticeboard and then at her notebook. The information appeared there as though written by an invisible hand. Lights produced a tricolour Muggle pen from her pocket and doodled a golden snitch in the corner of the page. Those Muggles had a good idea with these pens.

lazykitty 10-15-2011 07:38 AM

Roxi started digging as discretely as possible in her bag for a scrap piece of paper or anything really that she could copy the division descriptions on. Wait a minute, am I witch not?! She pointed her wand into the bag and cast a silent accio. Out came her small list making notebook. Oh well, this will do. Just in case, she grabbed one of her pens too. Roxi pointed her wand at the board, cast a duplication charm and watched as the words neatly copied themselves into her notebook. She still couldn't get over how cool it looked even after all these years.

CurlyPotter14 10-15-2011 10:13 AM

Ben stared intently at the board, taking it all in. He knew most of the information already, but it wasn't too bad to copy it down. He pointed his wand at the board before quickly conjuring up a small notebook. Before his eyes, the words appeared on the small pad. Smiling to himself, he settle back down in his seat reading over the copied writing, whilst wondering how the auror office back home was doing without him .

slytherus 10-15-2011 01:36 PM

Dean has both of his hands in his pockets, not even bothering to copy down the list that he has memorised for about two years now. Even so, he gives a long stare at the notice board memorising the list all over again. The more you read, the more information kept in mind.

He remains silence as Bole opens up for question. He doesn't have anything to ask so far.

Stormdancer 10-15-2011 08:48 PM

Jaxton smiled as he has told the different Division Heads. He noted whose faces changed as names were called out, adding names to faces as Evander kept talking. He stood at the back of the room, happily listening silently.

As the full division list was revealed, he re-read the information as a reminder but didn't copy the list down. He had a separate file on his desk that was a simply text list of the employees of the division. He wasn't anything if not precise.

When asked if he had any questions, Jaxton simply shook his had softly. He wasn't sure if Van would see that he'd done it or not - but he felt better knowing that he had answered his boss. He wasn't going to be rude to a man who had become a close friend over the last eighteen months.

BanaBatGirl 10-15-2011 10:46 PM

Eh, Wes was pretty familiar with all of that. He had worked here once before anyway.

The man folded his arms and swiveled his chair a little, watching as all the newbies hurried to jot down everything Van told them. Heh. It was just like being in school again.

JennMarie 10-16-2011 03:34 AM

:/ i dont check this for 2 days & miss a lot! hope your feeling better Tegz!

Millie felt so stupid when she realized the man she's been waiting on was right there standing with in 10 feet of her the whole time! She quickly Smiled at the Man and casted a duplication charm to what was on the board for everything that seemed important to be jotted down so she could refer to it later at home she made sure everything got written down she was EXCITED to say the least. Millie had no further questions and lightly shook her head as she awaited further instructions from Mr. Bole.

Fira 10-16-2011 11:34 PM

*glomps*

Well...it looked like the meeting was about to start since Evander Bole walked in. Of course Ryan caught the look he shot at him for which the boss man got a smile-smirk mix from Ryan himself. Of course the blond man could tell what the look mean, he did not need to use his human reading and psychoanalysing skills for that and that was exactly what made him smile.

Once Bole started to speak, Ryan gave the woman he was speaking to a smile too that kind of meant 'talk to you later'. Oh, he was definitely going to talk to her later. She was the kind that he needed further info about. For what though? Probably for his own entertaintment. Yes, Ryan Chambers did such things for only self-satisfaction sometimes.

When the department head Bole man mentioned his name and title, Ryan gave a nod to the room in general wondering if his divison had new employees. Yes, he totally did not bother to check if there had been new employee files. Maybe, he'd do that later. Now there were people around to stare at and analyse for fun.

Hmmm...

Dokimoto 10-17-2011 04:41 AM

Upon hearing a man starting the meeting, Arden made her way back to her seat, plate and drink in hand. She resumed her seat and neatly ordered the things in front of her: notepad, quill, wand, plate and drink. When she was satisfied she looked up at the man greeting them. He had been here the whole while Arden had been, which meant that he had probably overheard her conversation about him... Well, that wasn't too terrible, it's not like she had said anything bad... just dumb. She surveyed her new boss, wondering how we would act when the meeting was adjourned. He spoke of a few things in an unappealing manner, and Arden decided that this might be worth having on paper. She flicked her wand and had the quill start writing for her. This way she could keep her attention on Mr. Bole. When he named off certain embers of staff, Arden strained to make sure she got a good look at them, and had the quill write their names and positions. Upon seeing the notes Mr. Bole had made regarding the different departments within Magical Law Enforcement, Arden stopped her quill, and duplicated the notes. She loved time savers! Arden scanned the area of her peripheral vision to see if anyone was going to come forth with a question on such basic matters, but sat silently herself. She returned her quill to its place and took a good sized bite of her chocolate muffin.

RandomRaven 10-17-2011 10:42 AM

there was a misunderstanding xD

What's wrong? Adler felt there was a misunderstood. Maybe he need to tell about that to Mr. Bole, Gabriel, or maybe the head auror. He didn't want to insult anyone. Just... huh, a silly ambition. Then Adler paid attention to the Department Head again.

klexos24 10-18-2011 01:02 AM

Alex was settled now. It was hard to distinguish the diference between aurors and mles.
MLES was like muggle police, and aurors were like those people who need to come when things get too crazy for MLES. Now she knows.

omnomnomRAWR 10-18-2011 03:24 AM

Ren'Ai duplicated the information n the noticeboard and immediately any tiredness she had felt from staying up all night with a cranky two-year-old vanished as she leaned her head on her palm, bi-coloured eyes focused.

TeafortheSoul 10-23-2011 03:15 AM

No questions? Good.

"If you're stupid enough to get lost in this department let me know and we'll arrange a transfer." Van continued, his voice wry. He explained a bit further, "There are maps everywhere and all the doors to the different rooms are labelled. If you don't have business somewhere, I don't expect to hear of you snooping around though. For instance to make use of the Magical Forensics Laboratory, you must report to the lab supervisor, Elinor Danvers, as well as gain permission from your division head or myself, unless you are stationed there yourself." Which meant those in lab based roles, mostly MMAO and CMEC.

"Please take note of your job description, as well as any orders given by your superiors. I don't want to hear of anyone taking it upon themselves to investigate things that do not concern them. If you come across a crime that is not something your division would usually deal with, pass it on. No exceptions on this. Don't act like a vigilante, that's the fastest way to be booted right out of here, and for that matter, stay out of Knockturn Alley unless you are on assignment or happen to prefer spending your downtime there." Especially now with things being as they were. It was dangerous.

He looked around to be sure people understood. Yes? Good.

"Magical Law Enforcement spans three levels, and indeed the Ministry as a whole. The Atrium is where Security are based, as I'm sure you are all aware. Level 10 houses the courtrooms which fall under our jurisdiction, and any of you in a legislative or law making role, are encouraged to make use of the facilities there for drafting meetings and the like. The Wizengamot convenes on Level 10." He wondered what Lily was doing. "Any of you who happen to hold other... abilities, such as an animagus form, you're in luck that you won't have to go far to ensure you are registered. If you don't register I'll find out and you'll be out of a job." And arrested, but lets not go into that. "Additionally, I don't want to see anyone suddenly turning into a goose or a dog or whatever during work hours. Its rude and I won't stand for it." Especially mid-conversation.

"Please speak to your division leader if you wish for a tour of the Ministry. You can arrange them amongst yourselves." Obviously it was important to be familiar with the place.

"Aside from your general job descriptions, any additional assignments will be found either on the noticeboard or given to you directly by your chief."
Pretty simple really. "If you haven't yet submitted your file to me, do so as soon as possible please."

"Questions?"

OOC: If your character is an animagus, a couple things to note you need to let Anna Banana know/get permission regarding this (and any special abilities/conditions) and register IC too. Remember its not extremely common or easy either, which is why we regulate it ooc too. There were only SEVEN known/registered/legal animagi in Harry Potter's time! Being unregistered and discovered = time in azkaban.

Granger1814 10-23-2011 03:26 AM

Esme made a few notes on the notepad that she held in her hands. Simple enough to understand. She was fairly familiar with this particular part of the floor, but would have to either get that tour or just speak to Izzy. She could tell her everything.

Anigmagus...She glanced around curiously, wondering if anyone here was such. She certainly was not, but then again, it was a rather rare feat, so it wouldn't have surprised her if no one here was one.

File already submitted, so she had nothing to worry about on that front.

Setting her pen down, she looked up and shook her head. No questions at the moment. She was simply eager to get started.

lazykitty 10-23-2011 04:10 AM

Roxi quickly jotted all of that down. No snooping around, no getting lost, no spontaneous animagus transformation, no stupidity in general. Got it. She wondered if anyone had ever been stupid enough to not look around when they weren't sure where to go, but decided that question counted as stupid. Instead, she settled for wondering if he was going to tell them about this cult business she'd been hearing about. Don't ask that Roxi! It's probably just the type of snooping he's talking about! Instead she just shook her head no.

Dokimoto 10-23-2011 05:36 AM

Arden was getting a writer's cramp. She did not like writing short hand, so she wrote No... stupidity, getting lost, snooping, acting a hero... She wrote down Elinor's name, along with the name of the lab, just in case. She wrote a few other notes, and put her quill back to rest. She couldn't think of any questions right now, as she was too busy absorbing the information given to her. She opened and closed her hand, getting rid of the annoying cramp.

Kaos.Doodles 10-23-2011 05:49 AM

Legend wasn't taking notes. All of this was common sense. Didn't these people understand common sense!? His attention was less on Evander and more on the food anyways.

What was the point of this meeting again? Instead of asking the boy-man kept his mouth shut. He did not need to be hated by the department head. This wasn't like school, he wouldn't just lose a couple of silly points, he would lose the man's respect.

Legend did have a legitimate question..but this wasn't exactly...the place for that.

Jezabel Black 10-23-2011 06:21 AM

Lights felt a little guilty. She had already morphed into her dog form in the Security Office that day, but that had been part of introductions. Simple pleasantries. Tell that to Richard, thought Lights. He was scared stiff. She had to cover a grin at the memory of her coworker's face. Lights wrote a reminder to register herself as an Animagus. Easy enough. But the thing about not snooping around ... now Bole had laid that clearly on the table, Lights couldn't exactly defy it openly. Which meant that looking for her mother's murder file was going to be harder than she'd anticipated. Lights bit her lip, rolling her pen between her thumb and forefinger. Her mind drifted to Ethan. Hopefully he wasn't as bored as she was right now ...
Lights raised her hand awkwardly, feeling a bit like a child back at Hogwarts. "Um, who do I see to register myself as an Animagus?"

OOC: I know where to go OOC, but not IC :)

omnomnomRAWR 10-23-2011 11:23 AM

Ren'Ai listened intently, jotting down short-hand notes at the same time. No snooping...well, she was never one to snoop. She wasn't an animagus, and didn't plan on becoming one. So she seemed to have it all worked out.

Stormdancer 10-23-2011 02:04 PM

Jaxton, like a few of the other DMLE workers, wasn't writing anything down... after all, if they had to be sensible - wasn't it simply sensible not to go looking for trouble and to behave? He rolled his eyes as he noted a lot of the staff noting down simply things however. He sighed, and agitated rubbed his lower left arm. He wasn't used to being surrounded by this many people.

However, he couldn't help but snort as Van told them not to go into Knockturn Alley. Sure. Yup. Okay. He wanted to laugh, but knew that Van wouldn't appreciate that... So instead he crossed his arms over his chest and continued to lean against the wall quietly.

Well, she wasn't learning anything new in this Orientation meeting... though in all honesty she didn't really expect to. It was all common sense, which made it all the more hilarious to see that a bunch of the newbies were taking notes.. Heh... notes.
But at least they were trying, right?

Emily frowned slightly as Van advised them not to go down Knockturn Alley. Sure she knew she shouldn't, it was dangerous, and the last thing she wanted was to bump into Recard or some other Cultist in those parts. But there was something about Moribunds that left her feeling satisfied at the end of the day. Well... she would do her best not to go down that way for a while, that, and she would make sure Sabel didn't either. Though if they were to venture down KA, it would be better if they were together. Logic.

Animagi?... transforming at work?...
Just the thought of it made Emily feel sick. Seriously, for someone that was supposed to be strong enough and experienced enough to learn the skill, they were pretty daft. What reason could they possibly have for using it at work? Around the Ministry? ... show offs.
Her eyes darted to a blonde woman who asked where she could be registered. Great Merlin!

CurlyPotter14 10-23-2011 06:25 PM

Ben leant back in his chair, he knew his way around the ministry already. He didn't need a tour, perhaps he could give someone one. Anyway...

Knockturn Alley? He'd accidently slipped in there once when he was 13, he was never going back there. He didn't need telling twice, his head nodded vigourously in agreement with Van.

Ben had considered becoming an animagi once, but he'd never gone through with it. He was extremely glad of that, he didn't like the sound of transforming into an animal. Well, not since seeing that American Werewolf...

JennMarie 10-24-2011 02:52 PM

Millie was NOT an animagus. she never really wanted to be so she didn't have eto worry about that. & she didnt need to worry about knockturn ally either she wasnt going there!

slytherus 10-25-2011 09:46 AM

Dean like some other employees isn't jotting down notes. Honestly, everything Bole said was logical and the matter of discipline. If they can't understand that, what are they doing in the department in the first place? But then again, maybe some of them have memory problem or just want to make sure.

He leans against the wall, not so far from his other colleagues waiting for Bole to say anything else if there's any.
