It was simple. Couldn't they see? Katherine had tried to help. Well, it certainly wouldn't be help if, instead of clearing his airway, the guy's coughing escalated. So technically she just worsened his condition. And what would a sane person do in such a scenario? Apologize and slink away. But what would she do? "Don't be such a girl." Kat rolled her eyes, and her hand reached out to slap his back once more. The idea was elementary; slap the person's back until the food goes down or the person dies. How could they not understand? "It'll help, I promise. Once my mother did the same thing to my father, and," He regurgitated. Something told her he wouldn't be interested in that story. Better keep that under wraps.

Katherine didn't care much for the other guy; he was clearly giving her the silent treatment. Two can play at the same game. Skinny's (she would be calling him that from now on) form wasn't improving, and Mr. I'm-too-good was good for nothing. "You're not helping...m-m-much," Kat's voice faltered as she noticed the bloodshot eyes, the ghostly pale face and razor sharp teeth (a bit of an exaggeration here). "Mr. I'm-too-good, do something! Your friend's having some sort of a seizure." Was he a vampire? Or was he experiencing an allergic reaction? Did she do this to him?

Melissa continued to look around wondering where everyone had gone..or whether they had turned invisible. She turned back to the woman.

"I'm Melissa and right now you're in the Ministry. You managed to make your way to the Buffet and Seating Area of the Employees Orientation."

"Don't try to talk"Melissa advised her mainly because she didn't want her to choke on her drool or worse yet, throw up.

Grabbing a napkin from a nearby table, she gingerly wiped the drool from the woman's mouth, trying to absorb as much of it as she could.

'Whew....how can such a small mouth contain so much drool?' Melissa thought silently to herself.

Kensi let her eyes pop open, and she merely stared some more...this was not a familiar face...Melissa...Kensi tried to hold out her hand to shake but she was trembling too much...She turned on her side and continued her spout of coughing....she was trying so hard not to puke..she didn't want to cause trouble...

Don't try to talk?! Kensi wanted to GLARE some more at her...but she merely continued gagging!coughing and when the spout finally ended she just lay there...

Until...

suddenly, Kensi stood up, but her eyes weren't blinking....her face was blank, and her eyes' focus was in a distance. It looked like...like no one was home in her mind. The drool continued, and the redhead started to walk towards a table...she sat down at the table and immediately pulled out her wand...the movement looked mechanical, forced, as if Kensi wasn't controlling it. Her mouth hung open a bit...

Graaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaavy! Aron just LOVED gravy and if anyone was looking at his plate right now they would probably think that he had a plate of soup as opposed to one with vetegables, roast beef, and rolls on it.

Strutting Walking towards the MLE seating, Aron made sure to pass by the Head Cabbage, his Head Cabbage, who was talking with the Head Cabbage from another department. "Wes, good to see you again and congratulations on...everything," he said as he stuck out one of his hands and balanced his gravy plate on the other. "And thank you for the bonus," he said lowering his voice. It had REALLY come in handy this break in treating the future Mrs. Ashburry-Hawthorne to a vacation in Fiji.

"Good to see you as well, Rafael." Fellow plant slash environmental bro. Always a pleasure.

Was that Honking Daffodil of a woman here? She didn't seem to be. She probably would scold Aron for TOUCHING a plate or the table.

Aron's eyes drifted a bit as he moved to put his plate down to where someone was...drooling? Well, he DID suppose the food here was rather mouthwatering...until the woman began acting rather oddly. "Has that woman been around too much mallowsweet or something?" he asked, leaning over towards Wes as he pointed to the drooling woman.

His brown bloodshot eyes stared at Derek now. Pfffft... What's so funny? Didn't he realize that he was almost died because of choking this food and now his back was slapped by a pyscho woman suddenly? Dimitri still didn't know what's her purpose to slap his back. What's wrong with her? And what's his fault? He didn't remember if he ever met this woman before.

It'll help, I promise!


*blink*

But in fact, she didn't make any help because now he didn't stop coughing!

"Stop it, Maam. STOP IT!" he spoke while he still slightly cough. "I just need a glass of water so it could rinse.." Cough. "My throat." Then he grabbed a cup and casted a water conjuring spell. "Aguamenti!"

But there's no water come from his wand.

Heh? How could this happened? Did his wand broken or something?

Okay, he tried once again. "Aguamenti!" But still, nothing happened. He didn't know what's wrong with his wand. Then quickly he walked to the beverage counter and grabbed a glass of orange juice.

Gulp gulp..

His choking problem was clear now. But then he noticed that Derek looked.. wondered about him. Are you feeling alright, Dimitri? "Well, I am perfectly fine." Why he asked him about that? Because Dimitri didn't realize that his appearance changed slightly; his face turned pale, the bloodshot eyes and the sharpened canine teeth.

He heard that girl said that he have a seizure? Huh, what seizure? He was completely healthy!

Derek tried his best not to laugh in front of the girl-violently-slapping-Dimitri's-back scenario. She looked really eager to 'help' him and Dimitri looked kind of freaked. Don't be such a girl. Pffffft. That was funny.

The 24 year-old frowned when the other guy wasn't able to perform a simple spell like Aguamenti. He immediately thought that it could have something to do with that... infestation - or whatever that was. The odd girl actually told Derek he wasn't helping much and for him to 'do something' because Dimitri was 'having a seizure'. Psh. This girl knew nothing about seizures, did she? "He's not having a seizure." He assured her sharply, without taking his eyes off Dimitri. Wait, what had she called him??

...

Never mind.

"Dimitri, how long have you been feeling weird?" Derek asked right away, even though the man said he was perfectly fine. "Have you been vomiting and drooling lately? Where did you go on vacation?" Derek started inquiring like he had done to the people from his Department before the holidays. He needed answers.

The green-eyed man remembered the day when they first met. Dimitri was eating everything he could from the Ministry's food court. Maybe... well, probably Dimitri had eaten there again after that one day. AND he had the exact same thing Kensington and Demetrius had... and that other Head of Department also... and some other people. Hm...

Derek needed to find the others to see if they were becoming vampires having those new symptoms too.

Benjy hadn't stopped in the meet and greet area after he had arrived at orientation. He figured those who wanted to meet him would come find him elsewhere. Instead, he went straight towards the food. He hadn't eaten in a while so he was kinda hungry. After grabbing a sandwich and a drink, he headed down to his seat, nodding briefly at Wes, before taking a seat and starting to eat.

Elizabeth was going to get some water to drink after being bitten by a zombie so she made her way to the buffet where she saw Benjy. She beamed a smile and hugged him. "Hey Benjy!" She kissed his cheek and laughed, "How are you?" She had forgotten the bite and the water the moment she saw him.

Julia grinned. That is a good boss. "So is being a Dept Head suiting you very well? I see you've been enjoying it" she observed. And Wes was all smiles today. She nodded at Rafael. "Another Department Head?" she extended her hand to shake his. "So it seems I'm the odd one out"

Julia took her fork, she saw Wes standing. "Aren't you gonna sit down? And did you just say you had twins?" she asked, amused. "Congrats. And nice name, especially Logan" Julia began to munch on her salad when she noticed Rafael wasn't eating anything. "Erm, whats up?" she asked him. "Are you feeling well, Mr.Rafael?"

She looked at the man whom Wes pointed. Uhm, he does look bad. Competition for Mr.Rafael. "He looks like the latest zombie on the lose-" She turned towards Wes. "- But don't worry, I won't let him spoil your suit" she chuckled a bit.

Jack had followed after his wife who seemed content to just hang out at the meet and greet despite being bitten by a zombie...who does that? gets bitten and waives it off, he loved and hated that about his wife, they were too much alike in that respect, but she was supposed to be the sensible one...so this was weird. "Elizabeth..." He trailed off seeing the odd amount of affection between her and this younger man, he trusted her but still. Jack narrowed his eyes and quickly stopped before she might turn and look at him.

Beijing had just taken a brief break, she was in need of some freash air. Hearing some sort of commotion inside, she walked back into buffet and seating area to find: zombies!? Wohohoh! Somebody needed to get them out of here before they seriously injured someone.

Beijing sat down with a glass of water, she very hot and thirsty from being in a crouded space. If she needed to intervene, she would. "How did this happen?".
All of a sudden, she remebered something from A&C. The vials.

Melissa was trying to absorb as much as for the drool as possible when the lady suddenly stood up and walked mechanically towards a table and sat down. Melissa breathed a sigh of relief and figured that maybe she was feeling better although she still look pale, was still drooling and looked almost catatonic.

Then she noticed her pulling out her wand. Melissa's internal alarm went off. Why was she pulling out her wand? Melissa decided she wasn't going to wait to find out. Unholstering her own wand, she pointed her wand at the lady, called out," Expelliarmus" and quickly disarmed the lady of her wand catching it as it flew to her.

What in the world was happening? Had she done the right thing by disarming her? Maybe she just wanted to look at it. All those thoughts raced through Melissa's mind all at once.

'It's okay Melissa. Everyone knows how to disarm someone of their wand. You didn't reveal anything else.' Melissa told herself. She just wished her training instincts hadn't instinctively kicked in the way it did. No one could know her secret. Not yet at least.

Benjy was munching away on his sandwich as Elizabeth entered the area, but didn't look up until his name was called. "Elizabeth! Good to see you here!" He grinned at her, standing up quickly to give her a proper hug. "I'm well... as well as a man can be after taking a vacation that really wasn't a vacation. But enough about me... How are you doing?" He asked, his face turning serious. "Everything okay now?"

Looking up as he heard Elizabeth's name, the redhead noticed another man, standing just off to the side. Giving a firm nod to Elizabeth, he stepped over to the other man, his hand out for a shake. "Benjamin Doherty, MLE Hit Wizard. Pleasure to meet you...." Insert name here... "I'm guessing you know Elizabeth here? Do you need to steal her away for a moment?" Benjy asked, looking at the guy, studying him because he seemed very tense.

Elizabeth glanced up at Jack as he said her name. She smiled then glanced back at Benjy, "Good to see you as well." She laughed, "That is good. Thank you for everything this past month. It really means a lot to me." She nodded, "Eh, all is fine... just a bit rocky, ya know?" She laughed and looked at Jack again, "Benjy this is my husband Jack, Jack this is my good friend, Benjy. He is like a brother to me." She beamed and hugged Benjy again. "He helped with the kids while you... were gone." She laughed and smiled up at Benjy, "You make me feel so short, ya know?" Elizabeth faked a pout.

And what was this? Standing at the buffet table with his half burnt shoes that he'd managed to get rid of the odour from, Charles looked down at the table in disgust. This sub-standard plastic passed for food? Yeah, okay. At least here, he might not get puked on. Or set on fire.

Cherry really was excited for this orientation more for the food than anything else. She hadn't been able to eat anything at all so far today, what with sleeping in and having to rush off to the Ministry. Fail, fail, fail. She had ended up having to stay up late because Jeremiah was sick and she needed to stay up with him all night.

Covering a huge yawn, she gazed at the buffet table with a plate. What was she gonna eat? And why was that man looking at the food strangely? She stared at him.

Most people were moving towards the buffet and seating area and Jade followed suit. She went to sit down in the Accident and Catastrophes section. Noone from her department had come to sit down yet so she was quite alone.

She bit her lip as she wondered whether she should stay or get food. She really hoped that someone would come and join her soon.

Getting in line on the opposite side of the buffet he looked across seeing Charlies was there. And staring at the food! Raising his eyebrow Gavin reached for some of the food spooning some on his plate before dropping it back in the pan and grimacing as the spoon splattered lightly onto Charles' plate.

OOPS!

His eyes drifted over to the woman next to him he tried to act nonchalant like he'd not noticed anything having happened. "Hi there, my name's Gavin, don't think we've met." Yep turn attention elsewhere! Scooping up something else and setting the spoon more carefully this time he flashed the woman a smile.

This wasn't Aiden's scene. Why they needed orientation when he had already been working here for two months was beyond him. He had already made two circuits around the room and hadn't gained anything from it. This was a complete waste of time.

At least there's food.

Sauntering over to the buffet table he came up next to an older guy who looked like he had just eaten a flobberworm. Granted the food wasn't five star restaurant caliber but it couldn't be that bad. Grabbing a plate Aiden was dishing up some taters when a guy across from them splattered food on Mr. Grumpy. Suppressing a smile he grabbed a napkin.

"Here man. Got some on your shirt."

Someone was staring at him. He could feel it. Though with the state of his shoes right now, he wasn't surprised. He decided to ignore the woman for now. She would learn some manners one day, he was sure. He'd just decided to attempt to try some of this supposed food when some food spatter from seemingly nowhere appeared on his plate.

Pressing his lips into a hard line once more, Charles turned to the person who had grabbed a napkin. "Thanks. I wonder where it came from." Gavin was the only one who had been near the dishing up spoons at the time, so Charles GLARED at him. His day had been bad enough already.

Beginning to grab food, Cherry hadn't expected someone to come up behind her and talk, so she started... causing her to drop her plate onto the shoes of the man who had been looking at the food rudely. "Oh, I am so sorry!" She blushed before turning her attention to the man who had said hi to her and then noticed that someone else had joined them. "Hello, I am Cherry."

"A pleasure." he said smiling at Cherry. Noticing Charlies' glare towards him he just gave him a smile "And so we meet again, Charl...es wasn't it?" Yep he'd almost said Charlie but somehow thought he'd flip if he had so kept it nice. Looking up as another person offered him a napkin, he nearly burst into laughter but managed to contain it.

Just barely.

Aidan looked between the three people that he was now in the middle of. The woman introduced herself and he nodded his head. "Aidan. Nice to meet you." The man with the now soiled shoes was apparently Charles and then....Gavin right? Hmmm....

Aidan looked down at Charles's shoes and cracked a small smile. He couldn't help it! He grabbed a handful of napkins and handed them to Mr. Grumpy. "Here dude. You might need these for later too."

It just wasn't his day. At all. And it was frustrating him to no end. Just gritting his teeth to keep his cool, he wiggled his toes slightly. Worst fears confirmed. The food had gotten into his newly restyled, 'burnt to a cinder' effect shoes. "Yes, yes it is, Gavin." He answered politely, although right now, he wanted to hex the man to kingdom come.

Taking the napkins from the kid who'd just introduced himself as 'Aidan', muttered his thanks through his teeth. He had been wrong, he didn't just hate kids, he hated people too. He wanted his old job back already and it wasn't even halfway through the first day! Back there, he was called Mr. Taylor or Sir and human contact was limited, being that most humans were bone dead stupid.

After fixing Gavin with another glare, Charles put his plate down and bent down to examine his shoe and the damage 'Cherry' had caused. What the heck kind of name was Cherry, anyway?!

Cherry really didn't want to look at the man who she had gotten food on. He seemed mad and was probably hating her right now. Honestly she couldn't help but be amused at what had happened, since he did seem rather unpleasant. haha Take that, weirdo.

Smiling at the other men who were a lot nicer by the looks of it, she nodded. "Nice to meet you both. What Departments are you in?" She hadn't seen either of them before as far as she could remember.
